Fantastic experience: Edit to update because it’s well deserved: My child had treatment a week ago. Her treatment and recovery this time compared to our first dental experience (not with KPDO) is a night and day difference. We received full communication, transparency, and all of the staff went above and beyond. The following day Dr Harrison called to check in and we were able to report a fantastic recovery and massive improvement in comfort. We went out of network to be at KPDO and I am so pleased with that decision! We had our first appointment today with Dr Harrison after a horrible experience last year at a different dentist. They went above and beyond to ease me daughters lingering anxiety and communicated very clearly with me. We look forward to continuing our care here with the wonderful staff! They truly seem to care about the kids coming through their office which is refreshing!

Fantastic experience: All of the staff there are amazing and really great with kids! They have a cute waiting area with a VW classic looking bus that kids can go in & watch a show. I definitely recommend them! Plus they have fun fluoride flavors lol

My youngest started tagging along when in her carseat and it has been cool over the years see her go from being terrified to now trusting them to work on her teeth. The doctors are excellent at what they do and I trust them completely with my 4 kids. My kids love the bus in the waiting room and the token for a prize afterwards. It is always sparkly clean! Fantastic experience: We just transferred to KPDO and have had a great experience! Dr. Jones did an excellent job explaining the various options for my son’s care. He helped him to understand the reason behind each part of his treatment plan. The staff members we have worked with have also been very kind and knowledgeable. It’s also such a fun atmosphere! The entire team was dressed in jerseys at our first visit and you can easily tell how much they love working with kids. I would highly recommend them.

Fantastic experience: They had a very welcoming environment from the moment you made it through the front door. My toddler was a little nervous at first but they made every effort to make her as comfortable as possible. She left being more interested in her teeth and even brought up the tips the dentist suggested for a week or so after! She has always said he is one of her best friends. She loves him. He is always excited to see her and says "what's up Kenz" and remembers everything about her.

Fantastic experience: My family has been coming here for over 10 years, (started at their old location). They have helped us with cleanings, braces, teeth knocked out jumping on a trampoline, ect. I’ve never been pressured into anything and they have worked with my insurance flawlessly. I highly recommend them!

Negative experience: After being told my son needs a ton of work we set out for some more opinions , where we found He absolutely didn’t and they were trying to get every cent they could out of us.

Fantastic experience: Update- The office did reach out to me about things and are going to work on being more clear about expected charges and offered a couple solutions. The biggest thing for us is that expected totals for services are clearly communicated. Which they also want to make sure happens in the future. We are going to go forward and hoping communication will be better, and my kids are happy to continue with their dentist of choice. My kids have been going here a couple of years. They really like the dentist and orthodontist, as well as several of the hygienists. We always receive good care, and are at a cross roads and will have to do the rest of my daughter’s braces but unsure about the rest of my kids. Which is sad because we really like the dental staff. My ratings are because of the office staff. I’ve been charged up front more than once then ended up with a refund because they didn’t think my insurance would cover it. They aren’t up front about this at all. When I signed initial paperwork they had what my insurance should cover, but was never explained to me and a copy of the paperwork was never provided. I had a bill today for way over what I had anticipated, and didn’t even find out until I went to check out.

Fantastic experience: I’ve been bringing my kids here for 15ish years now. I had a child break a tooth out of state at a cheer competition and called KPDO. They fit him in within an hour of his flight landing! The fixed his teeth asap and he’s soooo happy, they look even better than BEFORE the injury! Love this dentistry!

All the hygienists are so sweet and make my kids feel so comfortable and dr Harrison is just amazing. He’s patient, kind and gentle especially with my daughter that has anxiety. Fantastic experience: We are new to the area and weren’t sure who to pick for the kids new dentist. We picked the one closest to our house and it has been a good experience so far! Front office staff is friendly and helpful, hygienists are good with my nervous little girl and quick and thorough with the other big kids. We have been happy with Dr. Harrison both times we have come in. He gives the kids his attention and makes them feel like he cares about them. Plus the decor and atmosphere is fun!

Fantastic experience: Kaysville Pediatric dentist is by far the best dental office we have ever been to! They go absolutely above and beyond for their patients!! They are so sympathetic, kind, and understanding. I genuinely don’t think you could find a better office! Example- they found out about my daughter being in the hospital and they sent flowers to her, and even checked in to make sure she was doing ok. We absolutely love them!!

Negative experience: I had to create an anonymous account for fear of backlash, however, I am extremely unhappy with this office. I have taken my 3 kids here for about 3-4 years now. 2 of my kids were absolutely terrified of the dentist, until I found this place and met the most wonderful, compassionate and kind assistant. The way she treated my kids and showed genuine love for them was everything I've ever wanted for my kids. Yes, my kids can be very difficult at times because of their anxiety and prior dental trauma, but they all loved this assistant so much. Her and I developed a relationship as well and I requested to only ever have my children be seen by her. Before requesting her, if my kids ended up with anyone else, they weren't treated well and always walked out crying and saying "I just want the girl with the pink hair mom! She's the only one here that is nice to us." It broke my heart. Requesting an assistant wasn't easy due to their ever-changing so-called "policies" and never could give me a straight answer as to why they cannot just keep my children with a specific assistant which was extremely frustrating. Well, I finally was able to get it worked out through Dr. Jones, the owner, to only see this assistant (which we always just called "the girl with the pink hair" but soon got her name- Paige) They put notes in my chart (or my kids' charts, I am not sure where) and my children and I were extremely happy. Even through hard times, my children looked forward to seeing Paige, she became a friend to them and they trusted her 100%. Well, I am extremely unhappy because I show up one day for my daughters appointment and she is seen by another assistant. I complained and was told that Paige doesn't work there anymore. I know for a fact that Paige wouldn't have quit and left us high and dry like that. So I did a little digging on social media and finally found her. I reached out and found out that they laid her off. She was the best assistant there, she knew what she was doing, was always so gentle and kind to my kids, and was extremely knowledgeable about everything there. I know they did this to the last lead assistant because my youngest liked her as well and was worried when she no longer worked there either until we got Paige. The fact they couldn't even call us to tell us the truth (would've been nice of them to at the very least tell us what happened and give us Paige's contact information so we can reach out to her if we please, I know there are probably other families who are in this exact same boat) and instead just blindsided my children and I when we showed up was not okay. We will be going elsewhere because I don't feel comfortable here. I noticed that from the years I took my children here, Paige and maybe one other assistant were the only familiar faces throughout those years. Makes you wonder why they can't keep employees and there's always new employees, that isn't a good sign. Save yourself the trouble and find another place. (Paige told us not to post a bad review, because she doesn't want backlash either, but I cannot just stand here after what happened and not make the information known because it is not okay) They responded and I wish I could believe their response but the way we have been treated by one of the front desk ladies (through phone, very rude and impatient) and almost every other assistant we had to try- I don't believe their statement. If you hired assistants that actually did care, my kids wouldn't walk out crying. I didn't share all of my experiences. There have been times I have had to tell the assistants to stop treating my children the way they do. One of the assistants yelled at my son when he wouldn't calm down, he has ADHD and that was not okay. That shows they don't understand kids' disabilities if the disability is mental and not seeable to the eye. Not ok! That's yet another red flag. We won't returning. My kids don't deserve to be treated so rudely, no compassion shown. You say you make staffing decisions carefully, but you let the one good one go? So your statement is clearly untrue.

Fantastic experience: Loved our experience with this dental office. It was our toddlers first dentist appointment and they eased him in and made sure he was comfortable through the process. They were respectful to ask if I wanted to proceed through the cleaning when he got nervous and made sure to end things on a very positive note.

Fantastic experience: I am 13 and love this dentist I have braces and I go for my cleanings after my cleanings with aren’t that bad because I just watch a show during my teeth feel so clean and smooth (only smooth with no braces) anyway I have also gotten four preament teeth pulled and it was pain free now to the braces I like that they put my brackets in the middle instead of at the top it looks way better and is more comfortable

Fantastic experience: I was referred to Kaysville Pediatric Dental and Orthodontics by my dentist for some issues with a permanent retainer I have had for the last 10+ years. My prior orthodontist had moved and sold his practice and was no where to be found, and my permanent retainer was coming off on one end and poking into my mouth (huge annoyance and painful). I called Kaysville Pediatric Dentist office and although I am above the age of 18 the doctor made an accommodation and decided he could see me for the retainer fix. The office staff was kind, and efficient. Even though they were quite booked, they were able to get me in quickly. I went in for my appointment and the office was very nice. Well maintained, well decorated and they even had TV's above the patient chair so you could watch a movie while the Doctor worked away. I wish I had my braces put on here when I was a kid. The doctor saw me shortly after my arrival and not only fixed and sawed down my retainer, but had his assistant repair the glue that was missing in other spots for both top and bottom retainers. On my way out, the office staff said there was no charge, I was so surprised. I took up some of the doctors time, but his assistant mentioned the doctor told them not to charge because it was a very quick fix for him. Maybe he knew I was a broke college student? I am not exactly sure, but I highly recommend this Orthodontist's office. My sister is under the age of 18 and may need braces, I am definitely sending her here!

Positive experience: *UPDATE* The day after I left this review, I received a call from the dentist at this establishment and he felt terrible for the way that I and my son were treated. He gave me a better explanation as to why they couldn’t except my sons Medicaid at the moment, and had I had received that explanation the first time I called I wouldn’t have been so upset. He asked me what they could do to make it right and I said to please train the office staff to communicate better to callers especially when talking about disabilities because I would never want another parent to call and feel the way that I felt that day. He informed me that he takes it very serious and would be training his office staff on Monday morning and addressing the issues. He also informed me that they have many patients that are on Medicaid and have experience with patients that are medically complex and that they have taken great care of those patients over the years. After this conversation I do believe that they care for those with disabilities and hopefully after this experience the office staff will take the time to listen and communicate better going forward to avoid confusion for the patient. *Original Review* Unfortunately we were never able to even get an appointment. I called to establish care for my son and asked if they were accepting new patients and the person that answered said yes. I started to tell her a little about my son because he is disabled and non-verbal and wanted to see if they had experience with kiddos like mine. Without answering my questions she jumped straight to ask me what insurance we had and asked if it was Medicaid. I told her it was Medicaid but it was a disability form of Medicaid for medically complex children. I started to tell her a little bit more about his disabilities but she asked if she could place me on hold for a second. When she came back on she said they weren’t accepting new patients on Medicaid. I know doctors can choose what insurances to accept but I have NEVER had any medical office, hospital, or doctor deny my disabled son care like that before just because of his Disability Medicaid. It left a disgusting taste in my mouth, but honestly I believe we dodged a bullet because I couldn’t imagine how they would have treated him in person. Directly after that call I found an amazing dental office that was so accommodating and at the end of that call they said they couldn’t wait to meet my son at his first appointment! Just a note for this office, you may need to revaluate how you treat patients with Medicaid.

Fantastic experience: We love Dr Jones and the whole staff. They are all kind and helpful. Dr Jones is fantastic with kids. We've been going since my kids were little- we've done cleanings, spacers, headgear, pulled teeth, mouth injuries, etc... kids have always felt comfortable and safe. Highly recommend!

Fantastic experience: Our kids love coming to Dr. Harrison and actually look forward to the dentist. One of our kids has needed cavities filled and it’s been a good experience.

Fantastic experience: We've been coming here for a while now for all 4 kids and it's been great. The assistants, reception, and dentist were all very friendly and helpful and they were quick but thorough. They worked very well with our younger kids to get some complicated work done and were patient and communicated with us the whole time. We will definitely keep using them as long as we can. Highly recommend.
