Dentists of Bountiful (Formerly Asay Dentistry)

Negative experience: My wife got her teeth messed up here. She needed a small cap and almost the whole tooth was removed for the cap. Also her Invisalign jacked up her teeth worse than before.

Fantastic experience: Professional, skilled and friendly. I felt welcomed the moment I entered the office by knowledgeable professionals and Dr.Vela is extremely skilled and kind. I highly recommend DENTISTS of BOUNTIFUL.

Fantastic experience: I had X-rays and my teeth cleaned today. Everyone was friendly, professional, and courteous! I met Dr. Vela for the first time. I really like her. I didn’t have any cavities so I got to put my name in the no cavity drawing in hopes of winning a prize at the end of the month! How fun is that?

Fantastic experience: I have crippling dentist anxiety. I also was given a year long treatment plan. (That was able to be finished in 8 months!) The staff here is incredible. From the people in the front to the dentists in the back. ( The sweet staff in the front is so patient and so helpful, I wasn’t sure what I was doing some times and they never made me feel stupid.) They treat you like a human, and I believe they honestly care!! Dr. Frandsen has a way that lowers my anxiety slightly and I am able to keep coming back. His assistants (shout out to Sydney, she makes you feel like a friend!) and himself have a way of making the dentist a fun and less terrifying place to be. I won’t be going anywhere else!

Fantastic experience: I had an appointment this morning with Dr Frandsen and Amy. I have had appointments with them in the past but have never sent them a review. They are both so awesome. Dr Frandsen is so gentle and thorough. I appreciate him. Amy is always so friendly and puts my nerves at ease. I used to hate going to the dentist. Now I get to go and see all of my friends. I would refer them to anyone. It's well worth it!

Fantastic experience: The Bountiful Dental is a great dental office. Everyone was very kind and professional. I really like how I was treated and how everything was explained to me by the dentist DDS Zafiratos. Then after we had talked about some work that needed to be done another person came in with a documented form with my teeth on it and explained the procedure again. The paper also had all the pricing that insurance would cover and what I needed to pay so I would now exactly what to expect. I haven’t ever had that done before at any dentist office and I really think it’s Fantastic they do that. Highly recommend going here!!

Fantastic experience: I came here because Dr. Flynn. Unfortunately he is only emergency now but, they got me in with Dr. Fransin. It was very quick got my trays and the tray hurt my mouth so the lady taking them held the device in my mouth for me. Took a while to get the Dr but it was new years eve and they squeezed me in due to my pain so I had no problems waiting. He knew exactly what was going on, explained every option and made sure I understood. He got me the pills I needed and the front desk staff got me a quote for what would be coming for me to pay. Set up my appt for the dental surgeon and because it was my first visit it was a free consult. Very perfessional, extremely clean and organized looking rooms. I was very happy with my visit, even though it brought bad news. Highly reccomend.

Fantastic experience: I’m a new pt to the practice. The dental hygienist, Amy, provided the very best, pain free cleaning I have ever had! I requested numbing gel ahead of cleaning. She was very knowledgeable, explained the best way to get your teeth cleaned. I was amazed! I highly recommend Amy at Dentists of Bountiful if you dread getting your teeth cleaned. She will make the difference!

Fantastic experience: Super happy I chose Dentists of Bountiful for some emergency work I had done today. I called frantically trying to find a dentist to help with a ruptured abcess, after being told by countless clinics I would have to wait for weeks to a month before being seen, I finally found this place. Originally I was told they did not have time today, but after expressing my fears, I was put on a brief hold and moments later told they were going to get me in and the visit and xrays would be no charge. (Won't lie, I was skeptical) Once there everyone was super friendly, even for being an emergent visit the wait times are super low. The staff was supportive and friendly the entire time, they took full xrays, and explained everything they found in detail and answered everything thoroughly. They held true to their word, I was not charged for my visit, and they gave gained at least two new patients. I would/ will recommend them to anyone needing an awesome dental team.

Positive experience: I usually have Lindsay- the most amazing hygienist ever- and I would give it 5 stars just for her. She doesn’t make you feel like “another person” or a patient- she makes you feel welcome and happy to be there. Today, however, I got a different person- and it felt clinical. And she totally talked down to me and made me feel less than. My mouth has been in pain since I got home…and I miss Dr. Asay. He also made me feel like a person and not just some other random patient that they have to hurry and see so that they can make more money. Not a fan of what this office has become since Dr. Asay left. The reason why I gave it three stars instead of one is because I like that the X-rays were done quickly and didn’t hurt. I was in my chair the entire time and I didn’t have to hold those horrible things in my mouth while the lady walked around the wall. Oh and Lindsay is Amazing.

Negative experience: I was a patient of Dr Asay. I really liked him and his staff. Unfortunately, though, toward the end of his practice he started asking for payment up front even though I had dental insurance. The problem with this is that I pay up front based on what they estimate my insurance will cover. I pay the amount requested, my insurance pays more than the office staff estimates. Then I have a credit on my account, which I am not notified about. This has happened more than once. I went in this afternoon to learn more about this new practice. I learned, once again, that I had a credit on my account, only after I asked to see my statement. My credit is from October 2024. Nobody from this practice told me about my credit. I will not be continuing with this practice, based on their payment policy and then not notifying me about my credit balance.

Fantastic experience: There are many places much closer but I keep coming here because most places don't have the same level of compassion, respect and genuine concern for the well being of their patients as I find here. Here you are not just a number or name on a screen. They actually care to know you personally. Katie along with the entire administrative team are always friendly and very helpful. My hygienist Lindsay went out of her way to see if she could help identify any problems in a particular spot I've been having mild but chronic trouble with. It initially looked and seemed normal but after (extensively) examining the area (going well beyond the scope of the routine exam I was there for) She found a problem with a section of gum small enough, and hidden enough, to be easily missed in a routine checkups. A small pocket of ressession beneath the main pocket I believe) Meanwhile Dr. Zafiratos (The main Dentist) who'd greeted me in the hallway earlier had been spending some of his own time (time he didn't bill me for) trying to see see what he could find on his end. "you didn't "schedule me but you've got me" He said as he joined in with me and the Hygienist Lindsay. This is the level of personal and genuine care they have for their patients.. Honesty is another big plus here. Dr. Zafiratos has talked me out of other procedures I've inquired about in the past he felt were unnecessary. So I know he will NEVER try to make a buck on something I don't need. This is all the level of care and respect that is truly unmatched anywhere else in my experience.

Fantastic experience: The staff are so friendly and accommodating, the wait time is typically short, and the dentists are gentle and efficient. In the past I have worried about being sold on certain treatments but I’ve never experienced that here. I trust the doctors, assistants and hygienists. Highly recommend this office! :-)

Scheduling and check in were super easy, and all of the staff were SO friendly!! They also listen to you and what you have to say which was super nice. The office is also really clean and bright which I loved. I would 100% recommend them.

Fantastic experience: 1. #20 tooth kept aching when I chewed on it! Fixed that with a crown. 2. Upper partial plate kept breaking clamps! Fixed that with a new partial plate! 3. Took time for the right plate & the right fit! But now all is well! 4. Appreciate Dr. Zafiratos & all his cute assistants who made my visits so pleasurable!

Positive experience: A filling came out and they determined I could not have it replaced because the top of the tooth was mostly gone. They said, however, that the tooth could be saved by capping it with a crown. So I opted for that rather than an extraction. A temporary crown was installed and I will return for the permanent crown in two weeks

Positive experience: Appreciate the quick care I received today, as well as the professionalism from both Dr. Frandsen and his assistant. She took off the temporary crowns and cleaned the exposed posts. Dr. Frandsen adjusted the fit of both adjacent top and bottom permanent molar crowns to a very comfortable fit. His assistant did a great job putting the cement on the crowns, cleaning them up & X-raying them so I could leave feeling very satisfied. Thanks to both!

Fantastic experience: I’m new in Bountiful so I’ve been searching for a dentist for nearly a year. A trusted friend recommended Dentist of Bountiful. I felt immediately welcome the minute I stepped through the door. Everyone was so nice and kind— like I was among a group of supportive friends whose goal was to help me.I’m thrilled to have found this dental practice. Getting dental work is expensive but the trust I feel with the Dentists of Bountiful is priceless.

Fantastic experience: I have to say The Dentist of Bountiful are an amazing group of dentist, hygienist, and even the front office are all wonderful! Dr. Franco did my root canal and he was painless! Dr.Z did the build up and restored the tooth like an artist. Nice and smooth. I love Lucy (not Lucille Ball) the hygienist who is sweet and very gentle. Fantastic experience: The last week I had an accident, and my frontal tooth was broken, I ask the Chat GPT AI and they told me that the Dentist of Bountiful are the best. They repair my tooth and paid $ 1,500 Dls, I don’t know if is expensive but they did very wood work!

Fantastic experience: My daughter chipped a front tooth late on a Thursday evening before we were to take a road trip with a friend of hers to a college event. We were to leave at 10 am the next morning in order to get there on time. Our dentist was not open on Fridays so we called around and landed an appointment at 9 am. They did her X-rays and fixed her tooth (beautifully, I might add!) and we picked up her friend 30 minutes away at 10:04!! They were as friendly and supportive and professional as they are efficient. Now our whole family is switching to Dentists of Bountiful!

When I had to update my insurance they were super helpful and when my insurance didn't cover X-rays they took the cost off so I didn't have to pay out of pocket. They were gentle with sensitive spots and very thorough. No shaming about habits. 100% would recommend
