Negative experience: I do like the care we receive here but I am rating 1 star as I have had my kids check up scheduled for 6 months and a week before our appointment they call me and state they have to reschedule and are booking out 2 months. This is very unfair has this has been set up for so long PTO request already approved. The best they could do is put me on the cancellation list. If you are someone who values your time and looking for a dentist who does the same this is NOT your place.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Holly was great to work with for my son's tongue tie revision. She was very thorough, knowledgeable and helped us make an educated decision. I would recommend going here for a tongue/lip/cheek tie evaluation!

My child is on the spectrum and can be very sensitive to new environments, sounds, and textures, but Dr. Molly and her staff go above and beyond to make every visit as calm, gentle, and positive as they possibly can (even if sometimes our child is having a hard time). They take their time, explain everything in a way that feels comforting, and never rush or force anything. You can tell they truly understand kids with sensory sensitivities and treat every child with so much patience and kindness. The atmosphere is warm, welcoming, and not overwhelming at all. If you’re a parent looking for a pediatric dentist who genuinely cares, is incredibly patient, and understands how to support all children then Dr. Molly and her team are the absolute best.

Fantastic experience: We drive clear from Bondurant to come to Dr. Molly, she is the best! Everyone is so friendly, they are quick and efficient. They address your concerns and questions with patience and kindness. They stopped taking our insurance so we had to switch dentist but after 2 visits with the new dentist I changed insurance so we could go back to Dr. Molly!

She looked her over, and beings as we didn’t need any oral tie releases at our appointment, she found us helpful information to get us in the right direction for our symptoms. If it wasn’t so far away from us, I would take my kids here for all their dental care!

Fantastic experience: We have three sons ( 17, 13, and 8 ) my sons get excited when I say they are going to the dentist. It’s very colorful and fun place. The women are so passionate about what they do and it shows with the kids. It is unfortunate they are closed on Fridays but they need their much deserved weekends. We went today and my youngest son’s only complaint was that it wasn’t long enough. I would highly recommend this place.

We were going to another dentistry and didn't feel great about some of the procedures they were suggesting. Based on word of mouth, we decided to start going here and it has been a much better and more comfortable experience for both my son and I. Everyone is very kind and patient and good with kids. Dr. Bremen takes the time to explain everything to you and see if you have any questions. Highly recommend this dentistry, especially if you have kiddos who are a little more nervous about the experience.

Fantastic experience: Finding a dentist for my kids took some trial and error but we are finally settled! My kids are excited to go the dentist. Dr. Molly and the whole staff are great with the kids. Bonus - they are able to see all the kids at once so we are usually in and out in 30 minutes or less.

Fantastic experience: I feel very grateful that my daughter is a patient here. She feels so anxious about medical appointments, especially the dentist. They are so patient, kind, supportive, and encouraging to be brave. My daughter left her appointment happy, proud of herself, and was able to notice how going to the dentist is helpful and good. It’s a good experience for the child and parent.

Fantastic experience: We made a consult for our 7 week old son who had been having a plethora of troubles, gas pains, not a very good latch on breast or bottle, reflux, very fussy and colic. We were told in the hospital before being released that his lip tie “was tight but not concerning”, well I didn’t really like that answer and I knew something was off. After trying other avenues to help out our little one, I decided to make an appointment with Pediatric Dentistry or Greater Des Moines. We had the consult, and the doctor said his tongue tie was HORRIBLE and lip tie was also there. They had our son in his procedure within 5 minutes and was done within 3. They explanation of everything that was going to happen with the procedure was detailed and made me very calm. The doctor was amazing at explaining what all his ties are most likely effecting (gas pains from not good latches, reflux, etc.) the staff was so so nice the whole visit. I recommend 10/10.

Fantastic experience: We were referred to Dr.Molly by our chiropractor and lactation consultant for a tongue and lip tie, we were able to get in right away and get the procedure done the same day! The staff were all very nice and the release went very quickly!

Fantastic experience: At a previous practice we had a less than wonderful experience that ended in blood, tears and screaming. Just over a year later and my kid was still petrified of going back to see a dentist. Not even really arguing, but would freeze at the mention and all the color would drain from their face. From the first time I called, the staff here were very understanding of that complication and commited to working with us on accommodations even before we got to the appointment. Once we were back, my little was flinching nearly off the table to stay out of range of all instruments the second they were visible or auditable. Staff worked for likely 30+min to make my kid comfortable enough to even get a test tooth cleaned, but we got through the entire cleaning, a floride treatment, and x-rays that day. That only happened because the professionals at this practice were kind, gentle and patient. They commited to taking care of us from the jump no caveats or judgment and absolutely put in the work to made good on that commitment. As one can imagine, this greatly exceeded my expectations and, honestly, my wildest dreams. Not only did we manage a full work up, my kid is not afraid to come back for his next appointment. He is excited to see this group next time and I don't want to sound nihilistic, but I truly did not think that turn around would be possible in one appointment. I know it sounds corny but this group really changed my little's whole perspective on dentists and there are not enough stars to give to properly account for that.

Fantastic experience: Absolutely the best pediatric dentistry office I’ve ever encountered! We’ve been seeing Dr. Molly and her team since 2019 and I couldn’t be more grateful for them. My children have no anxiety or fear about going to the dentist, which as parents we know is no small feat! Dr. Molly and everyone on her team is kind, caring and gentle. You can tell they truly want every patient to have a pleasant experience.

Negative experience: I’ve been going here for a few years, my son is 11. He has a cavity on his adult molar, the dental hygienist told me all they can do is put a metal cap on it. The other option they said was to go to an “adult” dentist if we wanted a white cap put on..and also if we did do that we will have to continue seeing the adult dentist. For all of there innovative new technologies in fixing cavities they’re quick to shove my 11 year out of their pediatric dentistry. It’s either put their metal cap on or find another dentist, that is how it was presented. The hygienist was rude and very dismissive and seemed glad that I choose to go elsewhere. I’ve never spoken to the actual dentist there, apparently too busy to actually talk to parents, always has the hygienist do that. Not allowed to be present when cleaning his teeth either, or when having a tooth removed which my son would have preferred I be in there with him for. My son goes to a Pediatrician and Pediatric Allergist. But apparently he’s ready for an adult dentistry at 11. If parents are looking for a better option I highly recommend Jones Family Dental, especially if you live on the southside as its close and they are wonderful!! Your welcome to be with your child for their visits, the staff are welcoming and just very nice. If you can’t be with your child during their visits Dr Molly should get out of pediatric dentistry. This makes no sense. Also my son said all they did was brush and floss his teeth, and looked with a mirror, no plaque removed. Perhaps that is one of many reasons your not allowed back there. All parents should be questioning why their not allowed to be with their child for dental visits. Red Flag.

Positive experience: We was told the procedure would be completed if our daughter was handling it ok. About 20 minutes later they came out and said she only got half done. Of course we trusted her but my daughter said she was doing good. We rescheduled and had to pay the original cost over for the second procedure. Again about 15/20 minutes and my daughter had no pain and did really well. Which I'm thankful for and overall these people were great! But the paying twice for one job felt a little sneaky and that gave us some discomfort.

Fantastic experience: All the staff was wonderful! The girls were patient, kind and so caring with my 8 year old daughter who is absolutely petrified of anything to do with a dentist’s office. My daughter loved Brittany tho. I couldn’t hear what she was saying to my daughter but as the tears rolled down her cheeks, she was calmly talking her off the ledge and the tears slowly dried up. She had to have quite a few of these little talks with her but when we left, she couldn’t stop talking about how much she liked her and all the other hygienist’s. Dr. Molly was so compassionate. She reassured me that all would be ok and made sure to explain what they/she found and what the next step would be. We set up a treatment plan and then the girls at the front desk were wonderful to go over everything and then make the next appointment for me. I can’t recommend this office and staff enough!!

Negative experience: Probably a great place but won’t allow parents to stay in the room with their FOUR year old while they get a laser treatment done. First, I was told they changed the protocols because of COVID and they realized kids “do better” without their parents present. LIE. Then I brought this up to Paige doing the nitric oxide she said it wasn’t because of COVID it was just what their office prefers. If a parents wants to be in the room with their child, they 100% should be able to. For a Pediatric place, it’s VERY cold and not welcoming. I’m a very laid back person but their whole energy here was horrible.

The staff here were BEYOND accommodating during his cleaning, took the time to make sure he was comfortable, and even taught me techniques to help him with brushing daily. My son did really well, and the huge amount of relief I have…so grateful for the staff here!

Fantastic experience: Son had teeth extracted and a couple capped. He was put under general anesthesia for the procedure. The staff was so very friendly and helpful for the entire process. They made sure my son and myself were comfortable with everything and explained step by step what was going to happen and let me know right away if anything changed. Everything went very smoothly. Facility is clean and well organized. Would definitely recommend.

Fantastic experience: I like the set up of this office. All three of our children are able to have appointments at the same time. I also really appreciate how the hygienist talked to my oldest daughter at her last appointment. Instead of bringing me over, she talked directly to my eight year old, giving her tips on how to brush better.

Negative experience: We were referred here because my 6 year old needed fillings in baby teeth. I appreciated Dr. Molly being understanding to choose to not do fillings on her baby teeth because she's losing them so fast and ahead of time. However they said she had more cavities than on her baby teeth, her permanent molars also had cavities. I was shocked just a month after her first xrays at our other dentist they were now finding more cavities, and now in her permanent teeth. They explained her fillings (for the permanent molars) would be done without me there, but if she had a problem they would get me, which led me to believe that it was an option to be present, if she had a problem with me being absent. When we showed up for her appointment I told them I needed to be present with her. I do not believe in children being seperated from their parents, especially when they are afraid and most vulnerable and looking to us for comfort. My daughter is terrified and especially terrified I won't be with her. I am her mother. I am her protection and her safety. They informed me they would not allow parents to be present. The only reason they would have retrieved me, was to go over other options, like sedation. They would rather sedate my daughter than allow me to be present. They said I couldn't be there because they would have a better dental/patient relationship without me present and my daughter would listen better without me, and that they wanted the best for my child. If any adult thinks your child's best is without you, their parent, or wants to talk with your child, or have them listen to what they have to say without your presence, I don't care who they are, that should raise every single one of your red flags. You have other options. There are other pediatric dentists who will allow you to be there, and your child won't have you removed from them when they are the most afraid. We will be going elsewhere for her fillings. Editing my review: took her to another pediatric dentist for them to tell me her permanent molars have no cavities and just deep grooves, like most children's permanent molars. They were using the same xrays, emailed to them from Dr Molly's office. They instead provided a treatment to cover and fill the grooves to prevent cavities. I'm so disturbed Dr Molly and her team wanted to take my daughter without me and drill her healthy teeth. This undoes anything positive I stated prior about her preserving her baby teeth, as she was going to damage this poor girl's permanent healthy teeth, while getting paid by my insurance company to do so.

Fantastic experience: I couldn’t be more impressed. I drive an hour to meet Dr. Molly and her assistant Brittany and I would do it again for all of my children. These ladies were amazing and thorough, warm and welcoming. I suspected my 8 week old had a tongue tie and it was confirmed after an examination. He was taken back and his tongue tie was released so very quickly.. I look forward to a better nursing relationship with my baby and I’m happy he will go on with less issues that his tied tongue would’ve created. Thank you again from me and my sweet boy!

Negative experience: We were referred to this place for my daughter to have a broken tooth removed. When we were leaving, they made me pay $104. I was not given a receipt or told what I was being charged for. After we left, I double-checked with my insurance, and they said that the visit should have been covered 100% and should have only cost $46. I called the dental office to ask what exactly I was charged for. They told me that according to them, I've already used my insurance benefits for the year, and when insurance doesn't cover it, they charge the patient more because legally, they're allowed to. I would argue that even though it's legal, it's not ethical. I told them so. Because I questioned their billing policies, they will no longer remove the tooth for my daughter. She is in pain, and they would rather leave a child in pain than run an ethical business. I also called my insurance company, and they said they have received the claim for our visit, and it's in the process of being paid out, but this dental office used the last of our benefits for the year so anywhere else I go, I will have to pay out of pocket. So now my daughter has to live in pain until next year, and the dental office got double paid. I would never recommend this place to anyone.

Fantastic experience: The techs and doctor Molly are so patient. My child panics and kicks when getting an exam since she's scared. They help keep her calm and are amazing with her.

Fantastic experience: The staff at Pediatric Dentistry of Greater Des Moines could not be better. They are kind and patient. They explain things when my children are unsure of something. I have a 5 yo and a 2yo and both go willingly to get their teeth cleaned. Both children always leave smiling and feeling super special.
