Negative experience: I’ve been coming to this dentist for over 10 years and always had a good experience with Dr. Dan, which is why this is so disappointing to write. My last three visits have been very negative, but this most recent one was unacceptable. I was told my 5-year-old son has a severe infected tooth that needs to be removed ASAP, yet because he was scared and crying during X-rays, they said they “couldn’t do it in office” and simply referred us elsewhere so he can be put under anesthesia. I explained that I actually work for that institution, so I know their scheduling policies — they do NOT see sick patients and require weeks of waiting. Since my son currently has a cold, this means it could take 6–8+ weeks before he can even be scheduled. When I asked what other options we had for a small child with an active infection, I was told I would need to “do my own research.” To find a different place other than Loma Linda For a young child in pain, I expected more urgency, guidance, and care. I left feeling discouraged and very disappointed.

Fantastic experience: I took all my kiddos here now that I moved to San Bernardino and I highly recommend them. The dentist here is so kind and soft spoken to my nervous son, well to all my kids. They’re so patient too. They answer all my questions and give honest recommendations. The facility is clean and they have TVs for the kids to watch.

Fantastic experience: This last visit really sealed the deal for me. I would have gave 4 stars prior. But my daughter's last visit she had a very sweet dental hygienist. She was careful of my daughter's loose teeth (my daughter was worried). She also made my daughter feel calm and safe. The Dr/dentist was a man and I was nervous because my daughter has some issues with males. I usually request female Doctors. But sometimes having her in these situations can help her heal. I was nervous She wouldn't feel comfortable and wouldn't talk to the Dr/Dentist. His name was Dan. Dan is now our favorite and I would like to personally thank him for being gentle and safe for my daughter. At first she didn't want to talk, then she was answering all his questions without searching for me! Dan was calm with his tone, a little playful, and explained things to her in and age appropriate way. He also has magically got her more interested in brushing her teeth! His interactions with me were also in a calm tone, he listens, and has kind eyes. You can tell he really cares and wants the best for your child's oral health. He is the 1st dentist I felt I could truly trust. Thank you Dan! The front desk staff is always organized and the wait times are not long. They have many appt options available. I have never had any issues with setting up or following through with an appointment.

Fantastic experience: My granddaughter is two years old and we had our second visit to Lil Smiles Builders Children's Dental office today. I appreciate their professionalism. I received text reminders of our appointment in advance and text links to complete our paperwork. I am very busy raising a two year old and I have a full-time management career. When we arrived at our appointment we were immediately sent to a room and the dentist arrived within ten minutes. My granddaughter enjoyed her experience ( she talked about going to the dentist during the day) The dentist was friendly and my granddaughter's dental experience was a pleasant one. Thank you to the staff for being efficient,professional, and friendly.

Fantastic experience: Lil Smile Builders does such an amazing job making my kids comfortable and giving them the best care. They always love coming to their appointments. Their Staff is also very helpful and friendly. I love that they always get us in and out never have we ever had to wait long.

Positive experience: If it wasn't for the Doctor I would give this place 1 star. I took my kids there for years before COVID. It was the best, they had tablets available for the kids, the staff was friendly and we felt comfortable there. After COVID and possibly new management/ownership, it went downhill. The front desk doesn't even greet you. I asked a question and was completely dismissed. I took both of my kids and I was told only one parent can step inside with them. Their sign says one parent per patient. I had two patients. If they would just allow both parents, for the quick 10 minutes it takes, I bet they wouldn't have as many negative reviews. Also hire new employees whose actually LIKE their job. I am 100% sure that if this had happened to them and their kids they would write the same review I am writing now.

Fantastic experience: I've been taking my son here for years. He had his first ever dentist appointment here. Everyone is so friendly, the place is clean and they are pretty fast. My son likes it here which tells me everything I need to know.

There was an ample amount of appointment times available. My 2 and 5 year old had a great and claming experience. Nice location as well. While 1 kid is being seen if joth parents come, the other child can go outside and enjoy the court yard. Very kid and family friendly.

Two of my children needed extractions and they were scared, but the dentist was very calm and sweet. I appreciate it very much because dentist visits are always stressful.

Negative experience: Ok so after a few years of leaving this dentist office…i thought we would try it again. Over the phone the receptionist was great, very nice and helpful. So I was excited and hoped for a better experience than we had previously! (We use to come years ago and loved it. But once Dr. Dan stopped seeing patients, the staff changed as well and it wasn’t as friendly and professional as it use to be…my kids even complained and didn’t want to back) well our insurance recently changed so I decided to try Smile builders again…even worse experience this time. The front receptionist didn’t even look up to say good morning…(that’s the first face you see when walking in; she won’t even look up or say good morning…so I just signed in. The office is boring, they took the tablets out..the paint and stickers are coming off all the wall. I had two kids being seen, one of the dentist came out and did talk to me about treatment plan, but she made it seem like our previous dentist didn’t do his work well and wanted to know where we went for that work. Which made me feel uncomfortable and defensive…she was quick and to the point. Almost rushing the conversation. The other dentist that had my other child never once came to talk to me about anything. Even a simple “she looks great mom…or we did this or want to keep an eye on that” nothing! Then the receptionist that does the payments and goes over signatures was rude…she looked tired, didn’t want to be there. I felt dumb asking questions…again felt rushed. Its always the worst feeling as a parent…to feel like your asking dumb questions, or your bothering the staff by being at your own appointment!!! I called and changed dentist offices right as we left..both my children asked to never go back to that place..again! And it’s so sad! Use to be a very professional and caring dentist office. It’s sad to see the staff and dentist’s be rude, impatient, and not genuine anymore.

Fantastic experience: i’ve been coming here with my son since he was 3 he is now going to be 7 this year ! i’m very satisfied with this dental facility! they are very gentle with kids and go above and beyond with working on little ones teeth’s! the staff is nice & dr timple is very genuine & polite! i will keep them as my sons dental care for a long time!i am now taking my 3 year old to this office because of the great quality and customer service i receive always!

So I made an appointment and we came in today. This place was very nice very clean and very welcoming the staff was very nice and the wait was not long. Negative experience: We’ve been coming to little smiles for the past 5 years. The dentist has been more than kind and patient with my kids. I have nothing bad to say about her. I wish the staff would be as kinds as her. The office staff are always rude. I’ve never experienced how rude the front office staff was until my last visit. They are very unprofessional and have bad attitudes like they don’t want to be there. It’s so sad to leave, but I’m not going to allow a staff to disrespect me especially in front of my kids. I hope they can find better staff or to train the staff on how to treat customers better.

Negative experience: Leaving one star because I cannot leave zero. I have been going here for five years and have loved my experience so far but my most recent experience has left me very disappointed in the office and the staff. My five year-old son needed to use the restroom, but due to their policy of one parent per family, I was by myself with my other two children in another room, holding my child while the dentist was working on him and my five-year-old came over needing to use the restroom and they refused to let him use the one in the office that is in the hallway because they said it is for employees and I have to walk into a business hallway lobby to use a public restroom and he ended up having an accident on himself. For this office to be a pediatric office and to have a bathroom in the hallway with the door open and lights on and no one use it and to refuse him using it when he’s standing there doing his potty dance is crazy to me. I will not be returning & I will never refer anyone else here.

Negative experience: Took my daughter for a cleaning and an exam had to bring my 3 year old son with us. As they call us back to exam room they tell me I could go in the exam room with my daughter but he can’t that he could sit outside the door of the exam room . Like really he’s 3 years old so of course I sit out of the exam room with him but clearly told the assistant I want to know when they start her cleaning etc. she didn’t come out to notify me she was very rude didn’t say one word to my daughter the whole time also the dr. Didn’t come out to speak to me about her treatment plan

Fantastic experience: Dr.Dan and Dr.Timple have been working with my daughters for many years. They did a very good job. Very patient and also give my daughters comfort before doing any check-ups. The staff was also very friendly and gave me heads up for appointments and find the best time for both of my daughters. Even though I live farther from the clinic but I will still Keep them as our dentist!

Fantastic experience: The dentist and staff are super friendly. The facility is definitely designed with a child in mind. My son is distracted by the murals and lights that change colors until it is time to begin his visit. Then he is watching one of his favorite shows on the overhead television. Once he's finished, he's given an oral care bag with a toy. It's a delightful experience. I certainly recommend❤️❤️❤️.
