Fantastic experience: I’ve been going to Dr. Winter’s office for dental care and have always been extremely happy with the service I receive. The team is professional and welcoming, and every visit feels comfortable and efficient. A special shout-out to Courtney — she’s absolutely fabulous! Friendly, funny, and easy to be around, she makes routine visits feel much more enjoyable. I always leave feeling confident in the care I get here.

Negative experience: I absolutely loved this office until l needed major work done. I ended up needing a crown and two fillings (performed on two separate occasions). The procedures were performed by an assistant who, llater learned, has advanced training but isn't a licensed dentist. As a patient, I wasn't informed upfront about who would be doing the work, which left me feeling uneasy. Unfortunately, both the crown and fillings had problems afterward. I experienced ongoing discomfort and had to seek a second opinion from another dentist where I ended up paying extra to have them fixed. On the positive side, the hygienists here are fantastic! They are thorough, gentle, and professional. I wish there had been more transparency about the procedures. I won't be returning.

Fantastic experience: I was referred to Scott Winter, DDS from a dear friend. She recommended me to them and said maybe they can help me out with a second opinion about my teeth. I was told to get implants and really didn’t feel that was the right option for me from an old dentist. I went to Scott Winter and he listened to me and told me he thinks he can do a crown and no implants. I was so pleased to hear this and now so happy with my tooth fixed. I HIGHLY recommend him to anyone and I will be sending people his way.

Fantastic experience: My 5 year old daughter had been seen somewhere else where I heard the doctor yelling at children. Needless to say, we did NOT continue care there. When we came to Dr Winter, our experience was the complete opposite. From the receptionist to the hygienist to the Dr himself, they were all great with my daughter. Everyone made her feel comfortable and secure. We didn’t struggle and my daughter left that appointment looking forward to her next visit.

Negative experience: This office sends texts to some patients, inviting them to post a review, which is why there are a lot of 5-star reviews. If you have a complaint, however, your account will be red flagged and you will be viewed as a whiner and receive no more of these invitations to post reviews. Complaints are not handled well by staff and are kept from the doctor. Dr. Winter is very nice, but I don't think he has a clue of the snafus - failure to disclose additional charges before services are performed, incorrect billing with old insurance plans, confusing statements when payment isn't received, prescriptions transmitted to pharmacies with incorrect patient names, and total disregard for serious complaints regarding infections. I've been a patient for at least 12 years (with no complaints), and things have really changed this last year. Unfortunately, I'm going to have to change dentists. Having dental work performed is stressful enough without having multiple complications to deal with and the feeling of your concerns being minimized, especially when you get a serious infection.

It was my first time there so I had to do the whole X-rays and checking the teeth and I felt so comfortable and my teeth felt great after I left. Negative experience: I'll never go back to this place. I had a appointment today at 3pm. I commute from work out in the bay area and I left at 1pm. I had put on my gps at work and said 1 hr 32 mins. I was on time until a accident had happened and that push me back 30 mins according to google maps. When this happen I got on my phone and called the office to let Nikki know that Im going to be late and she said it will be alright. Once I got into the parking lot around 3:17pm I got a call from her telling me that we have to reschedule. I went inside and I wanted to talk to the manager so Nikki went to get a manager. Instead of a manager to speak to me Nikki came and told me that we will need to reschedule.This a problem about businesses that not care about their valued customers time. I call earlier to make sure it will be ok for me being late so I dont waste my time. Still even the extra step to make its ok they still dropped the ball. I dont recommend this place because they lack of communication with the managers and staff. I know what happened Nikki assumed that it will be ok because when I called she didn't ask the manager if its ok for a patient to be late. She could of saved the establishment a bad review if she had done her job by asking the right appropriate staff if this was going a issue but instead she assumed.

Negative experience: We have gone here for a long time for my kids, it’s been great until we had an emergency. 7 year old with a toothache and they want us to wait 4 months. Trying to find a different dentist is hard because we aren’t established anywhere but dr. Winters, so we’re out of Luck to get fast relief. They didn’t even seem to care or feel bad or try to work I’m getting her in. I’d find a dentist with emergency care instead.

Fantastic experience: I had 2 fillings done today, and Dr. Winters and his assistant did a great job! I didn’t feel any pain whatsoever, he did a great job numbing me the right amount and he was very precise and efficient. I switched my son from a dinky kids dental to Dr.Scoot Winters and I completely am happy with this decision. His assistants do a really gentle and good job with the cleaning as well, and they are very personable.

Negative experience: After 25 years I will gladly take my business elsewhere. For the first time, I tried calling the night before to notify them that I would not be able to make my appointment due to my daughter's childcare closing during the time of my appointment and they tried charging me a fee because I didn't leave a voice-mail since they were closed when I tried contacting them. They wouldn't have gotten the voice-mail until 7 am..I called at 7 am so there's no difference. They even said they'd call me back after speaking to the manager and hours later I called back to allow them to fill my appointment spot and still tried that bs. I miss how they used to run the office years ago.

Fantastic experience: Professional staff and hygienists. I received extra procedure not covered by my insurance, but was not charged. Doctor Winter was professional, low key friendly, (as in genuine), and straight forward in repair options for me. No hard sell. I had been told by previous dentist, (a different business), that my son was in dire need of braces. I questioned this for good reasons and asked for specifics in writing. None provided. After a thorough exam at Winter's, no braces or fillings needed. Integrity is great.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Winters is hands down the best dentist I have experienced. My autistic son had a VERY traumatic dental experience before we were referred to Dr Winters and he Dr Winters was so patient and kind to my son that he is no longer afraid at all to visit the dentist. It’s no longer a anxiety ridden experience to have to take him to the dentist. I was so happy with how well he handled my son that I ended up going to him myself. Now he helps me and both my kids and I will always refer him to friends, especially with kids. I think we have been loyally going to him for 3 years now and I wouldn’t go anywhere else. Additionally, his staff is amazing, every single person I have come into contact with is so kind and helpful. Customer service is a lost art and I will always give my business to a group that gives good customers service as well as care.
