Fantastic experience: A true amazing office! I love this office because of the caring staff, great equipment and accurate information!

Fantastic experience: You can tell the difference between people who are doing a job and people who love their job. The ladies at this office must deal with challenging customers very often and yet they somehow are so resilient and continue to smile! The ladies in the front were named Jen. Both of them. They were patient and sweet and explained insurance stuff to me that is beyond my comprehension. They were slow and helpful and kind and my kids absolutely love coming here! So grateful for this place!

Fantastic experience: All the staff was great from reception lady to acutal dentist very professional in and out . My son love going there

Positive experience: We always go without any problems, but I don't know what happened yesterday; they made us wait almost two hours. When they called us, they took a long time to attend to my daughter, and when the doctor came in, he examined my daughter so fast around 3 minutes or less and said she didn't have any cavities, but he didn't do any cleaning. When I waited for the receptionist, I asked her about the cleaning, and she said that it was indeed scheduled, which meant we had to wait even longer for the cleaning. We left at 5 pm, and her appointment had been scheduled for 2:30 pm. I think that's a very long wait for a child who is only 3 years old.

Fantastic experience: Great Team BUT FIRST LET ME ADDRESS (DR OMID) HE WAS THE BEST ON TAKING CARE OF MY DAUGHTER SHE WAS SCARED BUT HE NEW HOW TO MAKE HER FEEL SAFE SHE WAS HAPPY SHE STARTED WITH HER TREATMENT OF HER BRACES ☺️ SHE DEFINITELY LEFT HOME HAPPY AND STATED THIS IS THE BEST DECISION MOMMY TOOK the rest of the team good job you guys had lots of patience with my daughter she could be a lil difficult but you guys did a great job

Fantastic experience: I want to say that children’s dental really strives supporting their clients needs they go above and beyond to accomodate their needs. Their staff does an amazing work with supporting all the babies they are very gentle, caring. I want to say thank you to Dr. Lisa, Evelyn and Vanessa for being so kind and informative when it comes down to childrens needs. I am very happy with the treatment that I am receiving they have helped me solve many issues that we were battling with.

Fantastic experience: My son received treatment at this office. He has severe autism, and the humane and caring treatment from the professional Jullia (assistant) made me feel more at relax, making the environment more comfortable. I highly recommend this office.

Negative experience: Absolutely not helpful phone assistance They can’t schedule even a treatment you need. The only thing they are interested in it’s cleaning.

Negative experience: I'm extremely disappointed with the service I've received from [Office Name]. As a loyal customer, I've referred several new patients, including two cash-paying clients, and have always spoken highly of the practice. However, when I fell behind on payments due to unforeseen circumstances, including the loss of my father and other family issues, I was working with the dentist to complete treatment. Despite our agreement, the office suddenly demanded payment of over $700 for my children to continue their braces treatment or have their braces removed. This has caused significant stress and inconvenience for my family. I'm still trying to navigate this situation and hope they will reconsider. Unfortunately, I would caution others to carefully review their payment terms and understand the office's policies before committing to treatment."

Fantastic experience: UPDATE: My son got his work done here by a male dentist (forgot his name) and this office utilizes Elite Sedation based in Laguna and it went perfectly smooth! My son was crying and screaming right when he entered because he hates the dentist. This office was very caring and understanding with how loud he was and didn’t judge at all. They gave my son some small toys to help calm him down and he willingly went to the room to do the dental work. The dentist was very communicative and straight forward with what he was going to do and the process along the way. Most of all I appreciate this office going above and beyond for my son. They ended up upgrading his crowns to white ones which made me want to cry happy tears. I was stressed how his four front teeth would end up looking like with the silver ones. I’m beyond grateful and couldn’t recommend this office enough. I’m so happy we switched providers. As a mom with an autistic child, my son normally doesn’t act this good at any doctor office and we are usually a burden with how loud my son can be. But today was the best he ever has behaved at any doctor office!!! Before we left, the front desk offered my son a plushie and a balloon for being so brave and good with his procedure which was very nice and unexpected. He’s still playing with that plushie! Regional center through Dr. John Van’s office in Garden Grove (they only do autistic adults) recommended for my 4 year old son to come here since they accept Medi-cal. I made an appt not for a cleaning but to get a second opinion about dental work my son needed for his cavities regarding crowns. Children’s happy teeth quoted me a $200 booking fee to schedule the appt with him being sedated as the only option + a 3D mouth scan and said they can’t book without me paying the $200 since medi-cal doesn’t cover it. This sounded sus so I chose this place and so happy I did! I got Dr. Lisa who did X-rays and gave me a thorough evaluation showing me the photos and walking me through it to understand what’s happening. The last place we were at never did that. She also said Medi-cal covers everything including the dental exam. The prior place wanted to use their 3D scan as a “fancy” option vs a necessity. She gave me 3 different options which all covered through Medi-cal so the first solution wasn’t sedation/crowns which I truly appreciated! I love how transparent they are with what’s truly needed and treatment plans and aren’t trying to do extra work when it’s not necessary. This place is perfect especially if you have a PPO and pay copays/out of pocket since they are super transparent and give you the budget friendly/ least invasive options as first priority. Overall, this place showed me they are trustworthy when they recommend treatment plans. I appreciated them making time to see my son even him having autism and handling him the best they can. I understand most dental places rush through clients but I’m very grateful Dr. Lisa took the time to explain everything in terms I can understand and answered all of my questions with honesty. I’m excited to switch over to this place to do my son’s dental work and our future cleanings!

Negative experience: It was very difficult and uncomfortable to give this dental office this rating. But after my most recent visit I will have to move somewhere else. I have chosen this location for my oldest child, he is now 7 and perusal have good experiences with the majority of the employees here. Apparently Ms. Lisa Nguyen seems to have issues with the type of patients she receives. The way she pushes and rushes herself onto my child; with little to no warning that she will be invading their space is inappropriate. If my child hesitated or would not comply at first demand her comments would be completely out of pocket and inappropriate if she would be speaking to an adult patient the way she did let alone to a child. I’m quite surprised her entitlement to handle the patients the way she does remains after all this is not my first encounter with her. And I clearly spoke up the first time and asked to please not allow this specific DDS to assist my child. Yet I had another unfortunate encounter after a little over a year. And clearly I’m not the only one having this type of experiences with her.

Fantastic experience: It was my daughters first time at the dentist and they made it so easy and fun for her! I highly recommend this dentist for anyone with children. I will not be taking her anywhere else but here.

Fantastic experience: absolutely loved this dentist for my two toddlers, the staff was absolutely amazing handling both of my toddlers even while crying and screaming, they did such an amazing job at giving them the time they needed, we were able to get cleanings done and xrays done all in one visit. staff was super friendly with the kids and are able to work with you financially as well, amazing service and such friendly, understanding people. would 100% recommend for your little ones, especially if they dont enjoy doctors and dentists like mine!

Fantastic experience: The type of care that was given to my child is beyond words, the compassion and patience of making sure my child was comfortable and at ease prior to starting made a huge impact on the overall experience. Dr. Abraham and Juiliane not only helped my child with a tooth extraction but their work together was flawless and comforting. They provided a calm and exceptional quality of service with such a delicate moment, that my child and I were in and out in a short period. Dr. Abraham explained the process to me and to my child and made such a daunting moment much smoother and educating at the same time. I would highly recommend this group and dental office to anyone with children. From scheduling an emergency appointment to routine check ups and cleaning, this office and the whole staff provides an environment for children to not be afraid of going to the dentist. The interaction with the staff at the front, to the staff that are hands on with the dental work, I cannot express the gratitude I have for all the work they do when caring for my child and their dental needs.

Negative experience: Staff is very friendly and good with customer service. Unfortunately, had a terrible experience with dentist Lisa. She was very rushed to do her job and harsh with my son. Also, refused to retake X-rays; she stated she wasn’t able to see them clear. Definitely seeking another kid-friendly dentist.

Fantastic experience: Evelyn D.A was amazing. Our son is autistic and has needs to move slow with transitions, new people and procedures. Evelyn was patient, kind and communicative. We felt we could move at his speed without pressure and trauma. We appreciate the kind staff and knowledgable doctors.

Positive experience: Children’s fun zone has great technology and makes appointments and form signing convenient and easy

Negative experience: If this is your kids first time going to the dentist I suggest going elsewhere. It was super hectic in there one big room for everyone super loud with the noise of the tools and everyone talking in there. My toddler kept covering her ears and was just ready to get out of there. I went to a different place for a second opinion on what they suggested and my toddler loves it there! They actually took the time to explain everything didn't feel rush and the dental work they suggested at dental fun zone was not all necessary. Make sure you get a second opinion I'm glad I did and happy that I found a place my daughter loves going to.

Fantastic experience: Evelyn was so nice and informative when we got here. She told what was gonna happen gave my son stickers and a toy. My son felt safe with her there and so did I. Your rock girly!!! My son smiled the whole time! Ppl like you make the destiny a great place for kids

Negative experience: For some reason, they noted that we visited this dentist, even though I called and asked to cancel the doctor's appointment. Now we will have to contact our insurance company and tell them that there was no appointment.

Fantastic experience: This place is amazing. They are very good with explaining what’s going on and the tools being used. They also helped my autistic daughter relax and get through her visit in a calm matter.

Negative experience: Over the past year we’ve seen an increase in the amount of wait time even though we arrive at the scheduled time. We are always told that they are short staffed or have new staff. We have also seen about 3 different orthodontists in the last year which is concerning because they don’t seem to know our daughter’s file. Our visit last month in July was a little over a year when my daughter got her braces. When we asked the orthodontist about her status and timeline he said he didn’t know, glanced at her file and said she’d be hitting the one year mark in her next visit and they could do x-rays to give more details. Yesterday my daughter went with her father and he reported that the orthodontist could not respond why she needed to wear the rubber bands on 2 brackets versus 3 as he had recommended the previous month and when asked about her status was given the same response as the previous month. He glanced at her file and said that she’d be hitting the year on her next appointment and they could do x-rays then. The orthodontist we first made the contract with last July (2024) is no longer there but the new ones taking his place seem to be so rushed to see so many patients at a time that they can’t even take a couple of minutes to review the file before they get started with them. Customer service and experience is essentially lacking for the sake of scheduling so many patients at a time. Braces are not a cheap service to be getting cheap answers for.

Fantastic experience: We had a wonderful experience with Dr. Dowlaty and the dental assistants, Vanessa and Marlyn. They treated Byron with so much care—he was very nervous, but they did an amazing job calming him down and making him feel comfortable. We highly recommend Dr. Dowlaty and the dental assistants for anyone looking for gentle and professional dental care!

Negative experience: Had appointment early morning dental assistants are never prepared for opening. They never have computers on with x rays of your child for Dr to evaluate. Today both of my daughters needed cleaning and check up and they didn’t have slow speed sterilized they wanted to just cavi wipe and use it on my child I did mention to them to use a sterilized slow speed on my kids and they still said it would take 30 min if i wanted it sterilized.

Fantastic experience: The staff are wonderful. They explain the process and the pricing ahead of time. The kids are treated very well.

Negative experience: Not recommended for any dental treatment. This isn’t the first time we’ve had this issue. We always arrive 15 minutes before our scheduled appointment, but every time we end up waiting 30–45 minutes before being seen. What’s going on with this location? If you can’t keep to your schedule, maybe you should book fewer patients so appointments can actually start on time.

Positive experience: I enjoyed the atmosphere but the only thing I was against was the one lady just kept calling people and calling people and not doing them one by one when you should be doing one person not call everybody back at the same time to me she was a little pushy

Fantastic experience: My daughter Robin just got crowns put on the dentist that worked on her was very quick and efficient. We appreciate this dental office and staff. Everyone is so nice every time we go.

Fantastic experience: We had a wonderful experience at Dental FunZone! My son usually gets nervous about going to the dentist, but the staff here made him feel so comfortable and welcomed from the moment we walked in. The waiting area was fun and kid-friendly, and the dental team was so patient and gentle during his cleaning. They explained everything clearly and made sure he was smiling the whole time. I'm so happy we found a place that makes dental visits a positive experience for kids. Highly recommend!

Fantastic experience: The entire staff from the front desk to the doctor is very friendly and very understanding with the kids. This is a great place to take your kids for their teeth care. Very quick, good quality and very kind.

Negative experience: The assistant that did my son’s cleaning did not change her gloves as she was touching everything and setting up other chairs with the same gloves, She grabbed the paper chart and then with the same gloves and then cleaned my sons teeth. She had two pigtails, and once the doctor came in he looked at my sons teeth for 10 seconds and said ok no cavities we’re done thanks and moved on to the next person. The other doctor he usually sees takes her time but I guess she only works weekdays and she’ll scale the back of his teeth cause he tends to have some build up on the bottom but this doctor didn’t seem to have time to. I understand it’s Saturday it’s a busy day but to not even sit with my son for a minute it literally was just like less than 30 seconds that he checked him and left. Will be finding a new dentist.

Negative experience: Honestly I’ve been to children dental places where it literally felt like I was at Disneyland, not for anything materialistic but the way everyone in the staff were just super nice from the second we would walk in all the way until we were leaving and scheduling our next appointment. This place isn’t that. I’ve brought my child here 3 times already but it’s not how I expected it to go and it just doesn’t feel very welcoming. I might look for a new dental place soon. Aside from that the cleanliness is good.

Fantastic experience: My granddaughter has autism and it took a very long time to find a dentist that specialized in special needs. Dental fun zone was recommended to us by a parent at my granddaughter's school. I have to say they were awesome. Dr. Lisa, Amy, and Jenny were fantastic. The other staff in the office were very kind. If you have a need for specialized dental care this is the dentist you seek. Once again Dental Fun Zone has exceeded my expectations with the care that they have shown my granddaughter.

Fantastic experience: Dentist did a good job! Did not have to wait long to be called back. Took in . It was great team work between X-rays and cleaning teeth . We were done within hour and less then half.. Staff very nice and great customer service.

Fantastic experience: They are able to accommodate my son and daughter usually same day.Both are on the Autism spectrum and hard to handle they do it with ease.They accept medi cal as well it's worth the drive.

Positive experience: Staff is friendly place is clean appointments are easy to make and reschedule. I have not had a problem with this place. They always give my son a little prize at the end. Love it. The only problem or inconvenience with this place is that they only allow one parent in at a time. As a mother, with shared custody of her child with The father, I just don’t like the only one of us can be in there at a time. Other than that place is great.

Fantastic experience: My 2 year old daughter had a smooth experience and a very compassionate team overall and was able to get her treatment done in her 2nd visit, which made it easier for me and especially her. Everything was explained to me thoroughly and made sure I understood the course of treatment. I will continue to take my daughter tp this dental group.

Negative experience: This place is not kid friendly, their equipments, tools and chairs are made for adults. My kid gag and choke and they keep yelling at her to stay still and pulled her head back and forth. Dr Lisa Nguyen seemed very frustrated and annoyed. I don't think she likes her job. They don't explain what they are doing to prepare the child and keeps pushing and pulling the child. I will not come back here. Gonna look for a new dentist.

Negative experience: The receptionist is really bad and I never come back this location. I had appointment at 4:00 PM and I came to the office at 3:40 PM. But I and my kids waited for more than 30 minutes. I asked the front desk and they said there were many patient and I had to wait. I was all right with that. However, the problem happened when someone came at 4:15 PM and they came to the room for the exam after 5 minutes. I did not know they had appointment or not. But this is the bad service. I was very angry, cancelled all appointments with them and go home at once. If I need to wait for a long time, why do I need to make appointment ? This is the third time I faced this problem at this location. I hope the manager in this branch should take a look the behavior of the front desk. I do not feel that I am welcomed when I come. If this problems continue to happen, the clients will leave and find the other dental office. At least with me, I will find the other good dental office for my daughter. One thing in this branch is that the doctors and technician supports are really good and professional except the front desk.

Fantastic experience: I came in first thing 8AM as soon as they opened, NO appointment but running on hope that they’d be able to squeeze my son in who had a dental emergency, luckily there was room in the schedule for them to accommodate me in ( I did have to wait for everyone else who did have apts, but again I was running on hope as I literally walked in without even calling) when it was our turn the entire staff was patient and understanding with my son (who is autistic) Our assistant Cristina was really patient and helpful with my questions and concerns, she definitely made my son feel comfortable during X-rays she was great honestly throughout our entire time spent there all the techs stepped in at one point or another to help out but each left me feeling at ease and comfortable. Now Dr. Lisa was the absolute hands down best part of this experience but she was also very patient and extremely supportive in her bedside manner alone, but from a mothers perspective I felt like she had the best interest in my sons care and comfort throughout the entire process, I can’t stress that enough just the entire experience felt like everyone was truly taking care of us, I do mean US because wow my nerves were high on worry mode for my son but like I said I left here thanking them over and over because they really did go above and beyond.

They answer all your questions and really take care of their patients. I highly recommend going here for your kid’s dentist appointments. I will definitely be returning here until my son turns 18.

Fantastic experience: I never would have expected my 4 year old daughter to be able to handle dental work and cleanings. But this place has got it down to a science. The balloons are upfront with an incentive ready to keep the kids in line… my daughter has sensory issues and my 3yo son is.. well 3… and this dentist isn’t even phased by either. When she had her cleaning done, they were so patient with her, took their time to explain each individual instrument… they had the perfect balance of love as well as staying calm and firm with her while my daughter tested her limits and boundaries. I was astounded, some would’ve lost their patience, some would’ve been too nice or too mean, but this one was just the perfect balance. This dentist I’ve been to three times and each time I never feel like they are in a rush, yet the wait times are not bad at all it seems impossible that they take their time with us yet we aren’t stuck in the waiting room forever. I am very appreciative to have found a good place for my kids. Now, if only there was a fun zone for adults…

Negative experience: Disappointed, I waited more than 40 minutes, no one attended to me, they said they were busy, so why do they make an appointment, I will NEVER go there again! By the way, they are harassers on the phone to schedule an appointment so that when you go, there is no assistance, I do not recommend them.

Negative experience: Hurried. Impatient. Loud. Unskillful with children (unclear commands and moving too fast for them to get a chance to cooperate, even after I suggest slowing down). They appear to give up on doing the work you're there for them to do anyway because they aren't able to wait the two seconds it takes for young kids to catch up. Flagrant about treating patients differently based on their insurance coverage (you get xrays and to come back twice as often because, good news, it's covered by insurance!) Beautiful fish tank in lobby. Decent bribes. Seems like they try but lack awareness of child development. Young minds can't filter things out so when there's a chaotic, crowded, novel space they need extra processing time to hear our words.

Negative experience: This place is TERRIBLE!!! especially since they claim to specialize in children. My son suffered a burn on the side of his lip from a staff member with long fake eyelashes. When he tried to inform her of the injury, she ignored him and walked away. When I brought the issue to the attention of the supposed doctor, he dismissed it, suggesting my son caused the injury himself out of ignorance. I highly advise against taking your children here. Look for a dentist who is genuinely careful and caring toward your child.

Negative experience: My son is non verbal and severely autistic. This place was recommended by other parents with autistic kids based on their other locations. This location however still uses a papoose board. This was my sons first visit to the dentist and it traumatized him. They left him strapped to the board for a long time after all the xrays were already done it was completely unnecessary to leave him screaming in that board once they were done. My son was screaming so much and so distraught I thought he was going to stop breathing and it never even phased any of the staff they completely ignored it and let it scare the other kids. They should've gotten that done with asap to help calm my son down but it was traumatic for us both. I haven't been able to take him to any doctors office since without him melting down. They wanted to check up on a few teeth but never offered us any alternatives to using a papoose board so I will not be coming back to this Dentist. Our visit was in May and it effected him so much that I felt I needed to warn other parents

Fantastic experience: Very happy with the staff they kept my daughter calm and reassured her that everything was gonna be OK. Amazing.

Negative experience: I usually love this office and the staff, today I was asked to simply sign the questionaire on habits to improve, she had circled wean off the bottle, less junk food, my child is 4, thats a little ridiculous, Im always asked the questions, dont know why today was different on her part.

Fantastic experience: They are quick and when there is an extra issue such as a surprise cavity they are able to fix it same appointment making this place very convenient for the working parent! Also they are able to back to back my kids appointments and get them into the chair asap!

Negative experience: I wish I can give this place zero star. This place is money milking machine. I brought my kid here for a check up and I gave them my insurance. It’s full cover. They say they charge extra $250 which is OK with me and then they call me back and said my total price about $1250. You know what? is this the way you do business. I am so mad and bring my kid to other dentist. They said no charge, my insurance good enough. Well, my advice is don’t come here. There are so many good children’s dental out there.

Positive experience: It was my son’s second visit and we decided to find another dentist. The first dentist and assistant we’re adamant about us not using fluoride with it 1 year old. And now this dentist told us we should have been using fluoride since he was 6 months old. And didn’t care when we told her that a dentist there gave us wrong info. Seems like there not on the same page with info there giving out. You must not really be reading the reviews because I said we decided to find another Dentist and you’re telling me I warmed your hearts lol.

Negative experience: After taking my kids to this dentist and have work done I was disappointed they had a new doctor and she handle my daughter like she was a practice mouth I wasn't happy at all... I came here because of the reviews but after HAVING a bad experience am not sure if am coming back again .. they also need to clean the rooms are dusty not good at ALL.

Negative experience: My children are both disabled , and so am I , when we first went here they were more than helpful and kind , I was lost and can not understand or handle figuring out the referral process, nor did my kids ever have a primary dentist, they helped us navigate and guided us threw what was for us a scary and confusing process, one I can not do on my own. One of my children received surgical dental work here and I was in the process of trying to get the other one done and schedule a cleaning . . Today when reached out to schedule an appointment again they told me I need a dental referral, my child has had surgery already and is a patient yet they won’t help us cause he needs another referral even though he is an existing patient. They did not help me with the process at all as they did in the beginning, they didn’t care to help our disabled family or understand our situation, we don’t have a primary dentist we have gone here from the get go , and now they won’t help us unless I get a referral and I never got one to begin with, they helped me do that before now they are unwilling to assist the disabled …. I feel this place was completely bait and switch, I needed their help so I can help my disabled children and did nothing to help me …. I can’t stop crying now cause I have no idea how to get my kids the help they need with the insurance we have ….

Fantastic experience: This is the best place to bring your kids. Workers are very friendly even dental doctors cool I would recommend this place 100% mahalo ✌

Fantastic experience: Best place ever, my son loves this place and the dentist and staff are so amazing and kind and very gentle with my son that he likes going to the dentist.

Fantastic experience: I really loved how welcoming and friendly all the staff was. I know it’s a kid’s dentistry, but still! And the doctor was so kind and my son opened his mouth for her without any tantrum or bustling. I was shocked! She really knows how to handle children!! I’m excited for my infant’s first dental appointment coming up this week! I’ll update this review after his appointment!

Fantastic experience: I am the Father of Anna Nguyen. My daughter is 5 years old.she is really scared of dentist. Today first to we been here. Staff really nice and professional.Doctor really helpful and friendly. I am really happy to choose this dental for my daughter. High recommend for all kids .

Positive experience: Very friendly staff, playful energy for the young kids, have toys and a fun atmosphere, and the work seemed like good work. Only reason it’s not 5 stars is they rush through you quick and on to the next patient

Fantastic experience: My daughter’s first time coming to this location and it was super fun! The staff greeted us very kindly, they were so interactive and patient with my 2yr old. They really made an effort to make her feel comfortable and have a positive experience. Which is so helpful because it leaves a good impression on kids for when they return. We both enjoyed it being our first time there and it was super fast too. My kiddo got a nice little toy after her visit and a balloon as well. Definitely recommend this place!

Fantastic experience: Honestly love how they treat my son here. He is always excited to come to the dentist appointment. They have movies on for the kiddos.

Fantastic experience: I was very happy with the service at Children Dental Fun Zone. It was a great 1 experience at the dentist office for my son. He was all smile from beginning to end. Thank to all the staff who were very nice and professional. Can wait to go back.

Negative experience: They do have screens (tv and iPad) to distract kids while waiting and during cleaning. But I don’t like the format of the chairs—all the patients being seen in one room and there’s one dentist for them all. No privacy and my child was afraid bc the baby in the next chair was being restrained and throwing a fit. There was overwhelming amount of miscommunication for an insurance update (10 calls, 14 texts, and email), only when I threatened to cancel the appointment did they truly address my problem.

Fantastic experience: First time here it was a very friendly environment. Dr and assistant’s were all nice and explained everything they were about to do. It helped my boys feel comfortable. Thank you to all the staff

Fantastic experience: The staff is friendly and professional. The office is clean, decorated in a child friendly manner, and overall inviting. Our last dentist traumatized my child, but after just two visits my child looks forward to the dentist and is no longer fearful. After needing a few procedures and being triggered from the bad experience of the last dentist Children's Dental FunZone dentist and staff was especially patient and gentle with my son. I can't imagine going to any other children's dentist! Thank you Children's Dental FunZone!
