Fantastic experience: Had 2 teeth pulled from Dr. Strausser recently. Easily the best experience I’ve ever had with a dentist. I will never see another dentist for the rest of my life.

Negative experience: This is not a bad place. I think the people there are very nice and helpful, and skillful, Dentists and Hygienists. This place is only getting a 1 star because of management and how they deal with communicating to their patients. This is a place where you pay for your service before you head back, or even sometimes right after you are finished. I did every time. I even had to wait for some services because the office did not send the correct paperwork to my insurance and even then I didn't have anything bad to say. Until I try to call to make a new appointment and I am rejected because my account got sent to collections? I was baffled and very confused. It was for $40 and they could not even tell me what it was for?! It makes me absolutely sick that these privately owned places treat you like your another number to them, when this is our lives and our health and well being. Thank you for another reassurance leaving this country will be in my best interest.

Fantastic experience: I wish I had found them years ago!! Dr Jared was amazing, he didn't bombard me w/everything that's wrong with all of my teeth, he actually listened and made a plan to fix immediate issue. Everyone at the office was very kind and helpful too. I seriously recommend that anyone on Medicaid go to this dentist, and even if I didn't have Medicaid I would still choose this office.

Negative experience: Marino Dental constantly cancels appointments on their clients. We have had numerous reschedules due to this. For instance, I had two appointments cancelled while I was in the middle of getting a crown. Not only that, the first crown was made incorrectly, The temporary one had a hole in it which caused me extreme pain and to top it off the wait to give me my permanent crown was so long due to these cancelled appts, my temporary one broke in half. After all that they ended up having to pull the tooth. now I find out they told my husband after accidentally missing ONE appointment that he can no longer be a patient. Mind you he just had a root canal and they were supposed to be fitting him for a crown. Now we have to scramble to find a dentist that can get him in to get a crown. I could understand if there was a history of missed appts but abandoning your patient over ONE is wild. Do better Marino Dental

Fantastic experience: For as busy as this location is their customer interaction and customer service always impresses me. Always making everyone feeling welcome. I have no problems with my quality of service neither. Brandon and Dr. Barket were awesome.

Negative experience: I was a long-time patient at Marino Dental and previously had no issues with routine cleanings and fillings. I trusted them with implant placement and crowns for my two front teeth (lateral incisors), which were congenitally missing. The implant placement process was handled adequately, and Dr. Barket ensured I was comfortable during that phase. I also want to acknowledge dental assistant Tonya, who was consistently helpful and responsive to my questions throughout treatment. However, the crown phase of treatment was ultimately unsatisfactory. Over the course of nearly a year, I returned more than countless times (10+) to unresolved issues with the color, shape, and fit of both crowns. Despite repeated attempts at adjustment, the results remained unacceptable. Crown #7 was ultimately cemented; however, I subsequently developed gum swelling and bleeding, and the crown eventually came out (after only a few months). At that point, I had already sought care elsewhere for Crown #10, which was completed safely and successfully at another dental office without any complications. Following the failure of Crown #7, I required additional treatment from my new provider to correct and replace the restoration. While Marino Dental refunded the cost associated with Crown #10, I later requested a refund in August 2025 for Crown #7 due to its failure and the resulting complications. Despite follow-up attempts, I have not received resolution or response to that request, and only one of my calls was answered (April 22nd, 2026). During that interaction, I felt the communication was extremely dismissive and did not lead to any effort to resolve the issue. Overall, I consider the outcome of the crown treatment at Marino Dental to be very unsatisfactory, resulting in pain, significant additional corrective treatment elsewhere and financial loss. Based on my experience, I would not recommend Marino Dental for cosmetic or long-term crown work.

Negative experience: Horrible horrible! Experience .. and extremely inexperienced dentists. Went in for a replacement cap … ended up losing a whole tooth!! They told me they wouldn’t help me unless I got a root canal.. I had ZERO pain my cap fell off and it was the soonest I could get into a dentist to get it replaced .. the “dentist Jared” that did the root canal had NO idea how to do one and even asked another dentist for help while he was doing my procedure, guy did not help him and the young dark haired girl that was helping him dropped the equipment on the floor and they tried to distract me from her dropping stuff and then tried to out it in my mouth! The root canal went horribly!! I was in SO much pain .. I went in because I couldn’t bare the pain and they told me I had to remove the tooth… the ASSURED me that they would cover for a replacement tooth not to worry that after the holiday “Christmas & new years” they would get me right in and get it replaced.. I waited and waited because they said they would call me to get me in .. they never called , so I called .. the receptionist / Dental assistant?? The one that convinced me and assured me That a tooth would be replaced dang near cussed me out and hung up on me told me she never said that I would get my tooth replace.. Mind you I was not rude. I did not raise my voice. I talk to this lady very kindly, and she went from. 0-100 screaming at me through the phone .. I am still without a tooth and still have pain in my jaw .. now I have the embarrassment of a tooth missing the struggle to eat I am only 33 .. they wronged me and have zero intention on replacing the tooth but demand I pay close to $3000 for a implant that god knows if they would even do it right based off my whole experience with this office. Office just wants to drain and charge old people out of money for this and that smh .. rude rude nasty people ZERO starts !!

Fantastic experience: I have horrible anxiety and it took a broken tooth to force myself to go to the dentist. Seeing as I don’t have any dentists on speed dial , I googled for one, anyone who would help asap. I called several who either couldn’t see me quickly or they didn’t take new patients. I was told to try this office, and I was shocked when they saw me the same day! And they were so nice when I was there. They really calmed me down and weren’t judgmental. AND THEY FIXED MY TOOTH THE SAME DAY!! It was painless and so quick! And my tooth looks great! I’ve got more appointments in the future which I’m not scared about! THIS IS THE dentist to use!!! I am so happy with the whole office!

Negative experience: Dentist did not inject novocaine properly. She did manage to numb my lips, and I could taste novocaine floating around in my mouth. Then she tried to extract the tooth. When I screamed in pain she threatened me because I was disturbing the other patients.

Negative experience: went there to get two front teeth worked on. they put me through unnecessary work that caused me more pain then needed. that should have been seen through the x-rays they took. Not counting it took 2 years from start to finish. I would not advise anyone to go there. Not happy with the whole process.

Negative experience: This was supposed to be an amazing experience, make sure the moneys you pay and insurance are correct, I was completely appalled by the staff , couldn’t have been more rude . I was having life changing cosmetic surgery and was so happy, the staff - receptionist ruined this for me and stained the dentists representation for me and my family. I would not recommend this place for anyone.

Positive experience: Love the few dentists I have been seen by so far and dental hygienist and would love to give them 5 star review!! It's bad when you cringe before walking in, to check in and out is horrible. One person there always gives us the wrong estimate and thankfully Danielle is awesome and knows her stuff. I almost paid an additional $900 that was demanded of me as it was supposedly my copay, after I had already paid an amount before services. It wasn't! After having to argue with the lady it was Danielle to the rescue!!!

Fantastic experience: I am really pleased with the dental care that I have received at Marino Dental. I have had 2 extractions, 2 bone grafts and one implant with another one scheduled. The dentist was very kind and very meticulous in my care and very quick to put my mind at ease as he worked through the procedures. The entire staff is very pleasant to work with. I highly recommend the Marino Dental practice. A+++

Negative experience: I was severally sick and missed my appointment this morning and CANDY the lady's name was super rude tells me im not allowed to be seen again when this was my very first appointment ever and my first time ever missing so to me that is very very unfair and I will be calling the higher ups to deal with ms candy bcuz you just dont talk to people like that.

Fantastic experience: I had my first appointment on 12/19 for tooth pain which turned into a tooth extraction I saw Dr. Jared and he was so nice he explained everything in depth and you could tell he took his time with things and cares about his patients the dental assistant and the x ray assistant were super nice and friendly as well

Fantastic experience: I have known Dr Marino over 32 years. I am so happy for him and his family for having several thriving dental practices. I go to his Darrow road office. Lets me say "his staff there are bar none the best ever" I could never say enough good things about Danielle, one of his office managers there. She treated me with the utmost kindness, and explained in great detail the treatment plan. She is certainly a God sent to us patient's who are scared of dental procedures. Thank you Danielle for being so kind to me. I'd also like to mention that Gavin is in a class by himself. So very soft spoken yet does his very best to help the patients that call. This leaves, Dr Jared, my new dentist there. This wonderful doctor put up with so much of my nervousness, anxiety and frankly unwillingness to go through my extractions, out of fear. And yet he was so reassuring, so patient, Always smiling. I always felt like I was wasting his valuable time. Yet he always reassured me that everything would be okay. And he always gave me extra time to explain things over and over again to me (I'm one of those patients that need it repeated several times) thank you Dr Jared for being an outstanding dentist. I hope we get to know each other during my attempt with getting my teeth healthy as well as getting a set of partials. God bless this office and all of its amazing staff. They are truly wonderful people that will take care of you.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Strausser was so genuinely amazing during my visit, I couldn’t say enough wonderful things about him! I went in for a baby tooth I still had that broke the day prior. He immediately offered to remove it. I expressed how terrified I am of dental work and he listened to me, made sure I was comfortable and numbed me up VERY well! He took his time making sure he got every tooth shard as it was a little difficult to remove. He was very personable, funny, his friendly and silly personality is honestly what helped me calm down. I didn’t feel like “just another patient” I truly felt heard and cared for. For the first time in my entire life, I can genuinely say I can’t wait to come back… but hopefully for routine things instead!

Negative experience: horrible customer service. went in for tooth pain, got X-rays and was told “they dont know” what the issue is over and over. then suggested I get a root canal for $1700 (After insurance) even though they still didn’t have a clue what the issue with my tooth was? definitely makes sense to drop $1700 on something that could potentially create a bigger issue. Doctor's seemed incredibly air headed for someone thats supposed to be a medical professional and was just rude. overall just seems like a money hungry business that runs on incompetence. -in response to the “owner” This is in FACT the right place. maybe take some accountability for your half headed staff then questioning your patients.

Positive experience: It would have been a 5 until I spoke to the so-called Office Manager. They sent in for an estimate on MY insurance for my boyfriend’s dental work. She was negative even though I explained that the Dentist never discussed ANYTHING that was on the estimate. It was all treatment my boyfriend needed. I would love to go to Marino Dental. Steve is awesome. I can NOT and will NOT deal with this person!!! Sorry

Negative experience: The staff do not communicate internally. Yesterday, received a phone call indicating they have not receive prior authorization for a procedure schedule 6 months prior and had to cancel the 2 appointments, cleaning and procedure. Received a call today asking if I was coming in for my cleaning, and informed them they cancelled it the day prior. Was told, that was the procedure not the cleaning. Needless to say, it was too late to go in for the cleaning. I was further informed my cost would increase for the procedure due to "extra buildup" that they did not account for. This not the first miscommunication in the office and the staff; front desk, hygienists and dentists are there only so long and I will not suffer additional cost at the inabilities of the staff to perform their duties. Good luck to those who wish to give them an opportunity. They have spent all they had with me, and taking my business elsewhere.

Fantastic experience: Wow I am amazed at my service. I was in and out in an hour. Staff was super friendly and doctor was nice. Couldn’t believe that going to dentist could be that easy!

Negative experience: Worst customer experience I have ever had. They sent me automated messages and encouraged me to respond on a separate number. I messaged back on both numbers and received no response asking to move the appointment because I couldn’t make it. I called in the following week to reschedule. They said I’m blacklisted for missing my appointment. When I explained the situation, the front desk told me I was lying. The number, they told me to text, is a landline and they didn’t sent that text. Didn’t ask for proof on my end, they called me a liar.

Negative experience: My family and I have been going to the dentist for years. There's been a number of frustrating moments throughout the years. They can be rude on the phone. But this last experience is the last straw. I went in for my 6-month cleaning. They asked me if there was anything else that was bothering me. And I said yeah by the way I've been getting food stuck in between these fillings I got a number of years ago. The dentist came in looked at it and said with confidence that she could remove one of the feelings and close the gap between the teeth. So we reschedule for 2 weeks later and in the meantime I thought about it like why if she can do it now why didn't they do it three years ago. I just thought it had something to do with my gums. So when I went in there the other day I asked them if they're going to do it right now why didn't they do it right then and is there going to be any kind of accountability or discount. They weren't willing to budge. Which is fine. But there was Zero accountability now this time the dentist tells me that she could possibly fix it and she can't guarantee it. So 2 weeks ago when you scheduled me you said you could fix it with utmost confidence but now that I point out that it should have been done right the first time now you're not sure that you can fix it. The backpedaling is unbelievable. Do not go to this dentist. My wife went in there and they gave her some serious Dental work. They charged $4,000. $2,000 for a pretty intensive cleaning that took about an hour and a half. And then another $2,000 to fix a couple crowns. She went and got a second opinion elsewhere and they said her crowns were fine and she had no pain. We contacted Marino they sent us a check for the refund for the $2,000 which was awesome. But why would they tell us she needed to do work that wasn't necessary. Infigured I was good to use them for cleanings and but I'm done with Marino.

Negative experience: ZERO STARS Because of my experience at Marino dental I really can't remember how long ago that all of this went down, or in what order. I had an infection, or an, impacted molar, something like that. Marino dental, pulled the infected tooth, or extracted. They broke a piece off in my gums it got really bad infection. I kept going back because I was in pain. They blew me so I went to a different dentist, who confirmed it was bad, but they couldn't do anything, because they didn't do the original surgery. I didn't have time to even attempt to contact Marino Dental because at that point, I was in the hospital with endocarditis, for those who don't know, it's a severe heart infection. I had a large mass on my heart each time a piece of the mass would break off it would cause me to have a stroke. I had at least 4. Plus many months in hospital, many months at home on oxygen and IV antibiotics for several weeks. IV antibiotics for several, double pneumonia, several picc lines that led to other blood clots. All because you wanted to assume I wanted pain pills or something. I went through all of that and continue to suffer through all of the results of your poor judgement. X Sara B

Negative experience: It was a terrible experience, the culture in this office is not client-oriented. The staff attending me lacked customer service skills, and showed uncapable of responding for a sloppy-executed procedure. I came in for a filling, and left with a tooth that now needs a root canal. The attitude of the staff, including Dr. Barket was dismissive and rude from the moment the filling started giving me trouble. They quickly tried to dodge the problem referring me to an endodontist, to not take any responsibility for a filling poorly done in first place. It's concerning to see professionals acting so unprofessionally, just attempting to pass the problem onto some one else. Upon insisted a couple of times for fair reason why I was supposed to cover the expenses for an unrequested root canal, the doctor's assistant yelled at me, alongside another employee (called Danielle) who since the first moment engaging any communication with me showed a passive-aggressive attitude and little to none interest in de-escalating the situation. Bottom line, I was cornered and bullied by three health professionals from this office who were seeking to elude liability over a procedure practiced with questionable diligence. Following, Doctor Barket asked me to leave the office premises claiming I was allegedly being rude to the staff. Read other patients' reviews and you'll notice this is not the first time the staff comes up dismissive to patients. Finally, after insisting they agreed to reimburse me for the faulty filling, but who's responding for a formerly healthy tooth that now needs a root canal + a potential crown?

Fantastic experience: They told me that they’d waive my cleaning for me since I didn’t know my UHC dental plan didn’t include them. I thought that was so generous and understanding!

Fantastic experience: My husband cracked his tooth on Sunday. He went to his dentist of many years (in Massillon) on Monday & was told the tooth could not be saved & was given a list of oral surgeons to go to. None of them were in network for us. He was offered no other alternatives such as pulling the tooth, doing a root canal & crown, and he was not given an antibiotic even though he was in pain & felt ill. We have good dental insurance & have always been in good standing at this practice. We found Dr Barket on a list of in network providers on our insurance app on Tuesday. Within hours, my husband was there, had X-rays, and was given options for care. He ultimately had it pulled the same day and was placed on an antibiotic. They were very kind. The office staff was also unsure why our dentist wouldn't have placed him on an antibiotic, and/or offered other options for care. If you are considering this practice, we highly recommend it. I'm not sure if we will continue going to our current dentist. We have lost a bit of faith we once had there but it's good to know that there are other offices out there willing to take an unestablished patient at the last minute. Thank you Dr Barket & staff!

Fantastic experience: I had my first visit here today and I am incredibly happy with my choice to come here. I have had dental anxiety my whole life but today was the first time since I've been a child that I have ever felt comfortable at the dentist. My hygienist and dentist really were so kind and gentle plus explained absolutely everything and why and what they were doing and I appreciated that so much. The staff at the front desk and check out were lovely too! Please go here if you're looking for a dentist. The relief I feel about going to the dentist now is incredible. 100/10 experience, truly!

Fantastic experience: Marino Dental is overall a great dental office. I always look forward to my cleanings with Karen. She is super kind and funny and always does a great job with my cleanings! I also like that she is always open for any questions I might have about dental hygiene, procedures, etc! The office is always very clean and always willing to explain things to you if there’s ever anything you need clarification on procedure or billing wise. Dr. Barket is also great and gives very honest and helpful dental recommendations. I’ve been coming for years and plan to keep coming.

Fantastic experience: I’m not there easiest person to please by no means, but Dr Marino as well as all the staff there have bent over backwards to accommodate me. There’s usually very little wait time when you arrive, great music playing and they put up with me! They stand behind their work, which now days isn’t the norm. I appreciate y’all

Negative experience: I just had the worst experience of my life at this place. I arrived seeking treatment for several broken teeth. However my appointment was late in the day so the staff had no desire to help. They told me as much. They literally told me I had to leave with no treatment. I sincerely have never been treated so badly. Edit: I forgot to mention that we were mid tooth extraction when 5pm rolled around and they told me to head out with blood running down my chin. The tooth still in my mouth. I also received 7 shots of numbing agent in a 15 minute period because they were in such a hurry. My mouth is still numb the following morning. These people acted like this was a restaurant and I came in a few minutes before closing, but they scheduled me at that time. Even after they were informed of the severity of the situation. The saga continued when I got to the lobby and the staff was being extremely rude to wife who was waiting for me in the lobby past 5pm and they wanted her gone.

Fantastic experience: I’ve been going to this dentist’s office for a while now and they always treat me very well! The staff is super kind! I appreciate them helping me keep my smile clean !

Negative experience: I have always had good cleanings and the hygenists are great BUT when I needed a referral Marino Dental didn't lift a finger to help me. They also tried to sell me botox instead of a mouth guard for my teeth grinding. So, just for routine care I say go for it. If you have any concern, avoid. I canceled my next appointment with them and they didn't ask why or try to reschedule that's how much they care.

Fantastic experience: Absolutely first rate. Had three back teeth pulled, in and out in 30 minutes flat. Best visit to the dentist ever!

Fantastic experience: My first visit to Marino Dental. My wife retired so our health and dental coverage changed. We chose Marino Dental because that are close to us. My visit covered x-rays and cleaning. I was impressed with how nice their facility is and their efficiency. I am happy with our choosing Marino Dental. Highly recommended.

Fantastic experience: They got me in quickly, and everyone was friendly. They made me feel relaxed and explained everything they were doing. I got all my x-rays and bone measurements, met a dentist, developed a care plan, and even got a polish in an hour. I'm going back for a filling; they were able to schedule that quickly, and they made sure to let me know my cost up front. Amazing team all around.

Negative experience: Transitioned to Marino and had my first appointment. Overall, it wasn't a good fit for me personally. The staff was pretty rude, the hygienist sped through the cleaning - no polishing and fluoride wasn't offered. While we were waiting for the dentist, the hygienist had headphones in and was watching videos on Instagram. The Dr. came in and again was very rude, no bedside manner and rushed through my exam. There are definitely opportunities for professional maturity improvement from the entire staff. Personally not a good fit for me and will not be returning.

Fantastic experience: I recommend this place to everybody. I had people tell me about this dentist office. I thought it was going to be just like a regular dentist office. But it's more the staff is wonderful and the doctor was great. I needed a biopsy done and I made a date the only date they had. The next day I called to see if they had anything sooner. They called me back and made it the next day. That made me know that they care about each patient. I'm a new patient and they care. So I'm very grateful for everybody that works at this dentist office. I just want to say thank you

Negative experience: 0/10 Don't go here unless you want to get ripped off. They overcharged my card once and then argued about charging too much. She actually looked and realized they did mischarge me. Said it would be in my account when machine was charged but they recharged my card again without my permission. Scammers and very rude. I had a root canal done with a crown. I had to get the tooth pulled because of a serious infection. I had gone back multiple times and they said it was fine. Went to a different dentist and they saw the problem right away. I went through heart palpitations, headaches... All the above from this infection. Just be careful who you let take care of your teeth.

Fantastic experience: Absolutely amazing experience. The front desk and dental staff are fantastic. I worked with Dr. Marino today for Dysport injections in my forehead. She went above and beyond to explain the procedure, provide handouts and answer all questions. A++ experience.

Fantastic experience: Had a great experience at Marino Dental! They got me scheduled for an initial cleaning within a day of calling to set it up and everyone was welcoming and professional once I arrived for my appointment.

Negative experience: I waited 1 year to get my dentures, I went every month, and exactly one month after I got them ,a tooth broke off the bottom and, and not even 4 months later ,the front tooth broke off also, then you have to wait a month to get in, This has been the absolute worst experience After in all within less than 12 months, my caps came unglued, my front denture tooth fell out, a second front tooth also fell out, and the tooth that the partial was supposed to connect to broke off! I would not recommend this Dentist to anyone!!!

The cleaning was the most gentle and very thorough, taking time to provide advice to for problem areas and recommend home-care. The Dentist was very professional and set up a repair plan to get dental work completed!

Fantastic experience: I was able to book an appointment, within the week and have a tooth extracted with ease. The staff were very friendly and they really took care of me and made me feel comfortable. I unfortunately maxed out my insurance but they were very affordable out of pocket. Will be back for sure. Fantastic experience: Great people to do the work. Friendly and positive atmosphere. I got 2 teeth pulled an I barely have any pain. I have used 4 ibuprofens an it's been 30 hours since they pulled my teeth. That's the favor of Jesus... Thank you team for doing such a great job....

Fantastic experience: Excellent friendly staff, high quality service, and all the answers I needed. Highly recommend this practice. Even though I would be a brand new patient, they got me in next day when I cracked a molar, and came up with a plan to get it fixed up asap. Couldn’t ask for better care.

Negative experience: Didn't make it past who is your insurance. Once I said who my insurance was I was aggressively told ,we don't except medicaid and hung up on. I guess they are to good for my insurance now. They sure were taking it when the pandemic hit and the struggle was real for them.

Fantastic experience: My first visit here today was fantastic, Brandon was my hygienist and he was great. I also met and talked with Dr. Carlo Marino who was also very personable and great to be with. Highly recommend!
