Fantastic experience: First visit, so far everything is going good morning. I'll update this when everything is completed.
Fantastic experience: I am the type of person that avoids the dentist at all costs! I will put off go into the dentist for years if it all possible. However, the staff and the doctor and everybody at Aspen dental on Arlington Ridge in Akron is amazing!! They are all super friendly they make sure that you’re comfortable, and they make sure that you understand what’s going on. 10 out of 10 would recommend Aspen.
Fantastic experience: I just had a root canal done and I honestly had a wonderful experience as one could have getting a root canal. The dentist was friendly and easy to talk to before my procedure, and I didn’t feel like I was drowning in my own saliva, any pain I felt was quickly dealt with and honestly I will continue to go there for any other things I need done.
Negative experience: Avoid this place at all costs Front desk ladies seem to hate their lives, the head boss was always too busy. Calling was a whole different headache, multiple times. The old doctor who caved in one of my cavities. The patch job they did was cheap plastic I used a while before coming to them, so I could eat, costs like less than 10 bucks but got charged a couple of thousands. The hygienist was spectacular though, really helpful and gave me sound advice I built on. Most of the work they've done came undone within two months. So now I'm stuck with this increasing bill. I only wanted one thing fixed when initially calling in, but instead of just the one thing, they did help out with making my mouth a little better. This is just a cosmetic dental place, though. I had thought the insurance I had would've covered it, but instead they did the work then footed me a bill. Without explaining beforehand that I wasn't within my period yet and that it would cost so heavy. My mouth is partly my fault, and partly genetics and the life I had dealt, so I can't blame them for that. But for a patch work job, I can. For not explaining how I wasn't exactly covered until after the bill was written, I can. I have read books since going to aspen, about dentists like the old dentist are cruel, malicious and dated. He used a tool to press in and increasingly ruin one of my molars, which can be attributed to an old tactic that dentists would do when checking for cavities. In this day in age, even after my X-ray, it would've been apparent that the tooth was already compromised. It was intentional. & since then has been causing me a vast amount of issues. They claimed I have paradental disease, and it caused me great amounts of anxiety, and worry, this was just a fear tactic though to get me to come back. My teeth are knackered for other reasons, but that isn't it. They lied blatantly and from other reviews it seems like they still are. The tactics employed here are borderline criminal and malicious. These are predators mocking humans in a commercial dental setting. Find other places to go. Also, the one repair I wanted & they did they shaved another one of my teeth to fit the mold they made, rather than make their mold smaller or more form fitting. It's caused me problems. The doctor who did it have had her assistant do it, and the assistant was nervous, like it was her first time. She was a good person and I hope she's well, but the job didn't take full form and still gives me problems. When I floss it catches, as if it wasn't placed fully in, I've had torn thread and have had to use tweezers to pick it out from that tiny crevice. That's not supposed to happen. *edit** It has cost me far too much mental worry, not even including the bill. Again, though, the teeth cleaning was needed. The other work was rushed, and improperly done. Dentist like the old one have left a permanent scar on me, or rather deepened already gaping wounds I have had when it comes to trusting health care professionals. The main doctor that did the mold spent less than 20 mins on me, and had her assistant do the majority of it. As if it was a learning experience. There was no negotiation. She came in, said this is what it is and did minimal. I don't want to come back, I don't want your help, nor any of your 'assistance addressing any concern', as I don't trust any 'professional' working for Aspen Dental. Update *** they never called insurance and just sent the payment to debt collectors lol this place needs to be shut down I was ensured that I was covered then wasn't covered but they did all this hack job work anyways. 5k in debt for what? To suffer?
Fantastic experience: I would recommend this office to any one of my friends, families or acquaintances. I walked in with a tooth emergency. They got me 2 days later to handle the situation The staff is very caring and understanding and very gentle. Looking forward to continuing my services with this place
Fantastic experience: I haven’t been to the dentist is several years and I knew my teeth were in bad shape. They didn’t make me feel embarrassed they just told me what I needed to get done. Got me scheduled helped with financing and my teeth are already in much better shape.
Fantastic experience: I’ve been to a few Aspen Dentals. The Green location is my favorite. For the front desk staff, managers and care providers, everyone is always so friendly and informative. Dr Starky is always willing to address my concerns and provide feedback. Dental is expensive but the manager there (forget her name right now) has helped me get discounts to lessen the load. She’s even worked behind the scenes to get my health insurance to cover when they were denying.
Negative experience: This was the worst experience I have ever had at a dentist. They did not care that I was in pain, only about how much they could charge me. They insisted that I have a hygienist procedure before they would even help with the pain. The appointment for the painful tooth was a week and a half out. The hygienist procedure was thousands of dollars. When i asked for copies of my exrays and the hygienist report the office person was extremely rude. I found a great dentist elsewhere that I can't say enough good about, cared about my pain, and will end up costing about 15% of what Aspen would charge after holding my pain hostage to a very expensive procedure.

Fantastic experience: Sad to admit that it's been a while since I went to the dentist. Decided to give Aspen Dental on Arlington a try-glad I did. They have late hours once a week so I didn't need to miss work. Everyone was great and didn't make me feel bad. They worked up a plan to get me back on track and in my budget. Can't recommend them highly enough.
Fantastic experience: Went in for a consult for a root canal and lucky for me they had a cancelation later that day so I had the procedure same day. Went smoothly with minimal pain.
Fantastic experience: If I could rate this place 1,000 stars, I would. I suffered from an abscess on one of my molars, it became an emergency situation. I came here and they were SO nice, very quick. The dentist that extracted my tooth was very reassuring and very sweet. He got my tooth out in under 2 minutes and I felt immediate relief. Didn’t feel any pain! They numb you VERY well in those situations. I will most definitely be back for any dental appointments in my future. THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!

Negative experience: I agree with the woman Luna who posted 4 months ago. I had the same exact experience. I only needed my teeth. I hadn't seen the dentist on less than a year because I had lost a job. This was the first dental appointment that could get. The woman who did my x-rays took at least, and I'm not exaggerating, at least 30 x-rays. She even cut my gums a couple times and I told her thst it was hurting several times. I even because nauseous from having the pieces in my mouth and my mouth open for so long and in pain. The dentist examined my mouth afterwards and said everything was fine. After a half hour to 45 minutes of waiting, the hygienist came in to examine my mouth and tell me what bones issues I supposedly had. She was yelling out numbers aggressively and I kept thinking what the hell is this. I asked when I'd get my teeth clean and she only said after I set up 2 or 3 deep cleanings to address my issues. I didn't have any issues going in and I didn't have any leaving. I did talk to someone in scheduling before i left about getting my teeth cleaned, only cleaned. I was told that if I didn't do the procedure that they wanted me to have I couldn't get my teeth cleaned. My insurance doesn't cover their scam and I would have had to pay $2,243.00 out of pocket. Needless to say, I passed.

Fantastic experience: The reason for 5 stars is the perseverance the team showed in getting my dentures JUST RIGHT!! The first set wasn’t good at all. So they remade them. Then that set was still too loose. So after more impressions & a reline I picked them up today & they’re fantastic!! Thanks to everyone at Aspen dental for your hard work & patience. I’m a happy customer.

All my processes were very quick and I felt very comfortable throughout all of them. Negative experience: The worst experience I’ve ever had at a dental practice due to the hygienist who is getting too big for her shoes. The dentist (dr starkly) was great and reassuring, told me I had no work needed and nothing to worry about. I was newly postpartum when I had gone and was very anxious. The hygienist came in and claimed I have moderate stage 2 periodontitis. I have previously studied dentistry for three years and can spot gingivitis let alone periodontitis a mile off! She refused to give me a basic clean and insisted I have antibiotics and a clean treatment specific to periodontitis. As I’m breastfeeding which I already told her, she should know I can’t have this. This alone was going to cost over $2k. She also told me I have bone loss and I asked her to show me where on the x rays. She also measured my gum pockets and poked the instrument very hard for me to have pain and cause bleeding. She’s so incompetent that she lost all the data and had to do it all over again! She gave me 4s and 5s! This means my teeth should be wobbly and I should have blood whenever I eat food and stinky breath. I have none. I am someone who takes VERY GOOD care of my teeth. The office manager who gave me the quote at the end also gave me a weird vibe after I told her I will think about whether I want to proceed or not and was weird when I wanted copies of my x rays. I went back to my dentist in the UK who confirmed I do not have periodontitis or gingivitis FYI I do not recommend this place at all due to the awful experience with the hygienist. It’s a money making place.
Fantastic experience: I was referred to Aspen Dental's endodontist, Dr Jose, by my regular dentist because my tooth cracked and he wasn't sure how to proceed. I found the workers at Aspen Dental to be very friendly and knowledgeable. I trust that they will know what's right for my ongoing dental health. This visit was just a consultation. Next time I will have a root canal to prepare for a crown. Perhaps I'll review again later.

Negative experience: Went in to get a crown and a bridge cemented in (2hours). Not 5 minutes after I left, the bridge fell out of my mouth. This is after they had a woman try to get a $12k+ bill/dental plan together "to get done soon." NO. NEVER. You couldn't bond a bridge?!?!?

Fantastic experience: I went in with a broken tooth. The staff was very friendly and eager to help. I was going out of town for about a month and they squeezed me in the same day to extract the tooth. I am a very anxious patient and they really made me feel comfortable. Very little pain during and after my visit. I recommend them any time you have a dental emergency.

Negative experience: Id give them 0 of i could, they messed up our billing info and a year after our care are trying to come after us for payment. Avoid this predatory company. They dont try and work with insurance and come after you for anything they can.

Negative experience: SCAM ARTISTS!! BEWARE I went to Aspen to get a simple teeth cleaning--or so I thought. I scheduled an appointment online. When I arrived the front desk staff was incredibly friendly. But once you step behind those doors it changes. The person who took my x-rays basically violated my mouth with all these things being shoved in to take what was quite literally the most x-rays of my mouth I have ever had and I had braces when I was younger. She was nice enough, but no explanation, no offer to change to something smaller to fit into my mouth, just shoved it in and took the x-ray. Next I saw the dentist. He was fine, discussed a possible filling that needed re done and I was shocked when he even suggested NOT doing it as it can cause issues with the integrity of the tooth. This started to build my trust. He examines my mouth, told me everything looked good. Looked at my x-rays suggested I might need a filling on a molar because of a possible cavity and he left. On to the hygienist. This women was aggressive and rude. She just started poking at my gums yelling off numbers to a computer with almost no explanation. All she said was she was going to yell off some numbers and we'd talk about it. Wasn't until I got home and did research that I realized they were measuring my gums. So, she rattles off some high numbers and some low. She then asks me if I have an electric toothbrush, and a water flosser. I tell her yes and she asks if my water flosser was cordless. I say yes, and she sighed. Next she tells me, well your gums are in bad shape and you have Stage 1 peridontial disease and in order to do a teeth cleaning we will need to do what is a deep scaling procedure. Explains it to me super fast and says I cannot get a regular cleaning I have to have this done. I tell her all of this is news to me, my regular dentist has never mentioned this. ( forgot to add just couldn't get into my dentist for 8 months so I thought I would just go get a quick cleaning. HA) Anyways they recommended this procedure and treatment plan where I would need to get my teeth cleaned after this every 3 months and she sends me on my way. She was defensive when I questioned her and it was awkward. Sends me to get scheduled and get a quote. I have good dental insurance so they quoted me $780 for all these appointments and to re do the fillings that I didn't think I needed done. The doctor never came back to give me any sort of diagnoses and they were pushing me to schedule. Told them I'd call. Tried to call the next day to schedule because I was convinced I had periodontal disease. They didn't even have that information in the computer and said they'd call me back. Spoiler alert--- they still haven't. Interestingly they had already submitted the insurance claim to my insurance by the time I got home from the appointment, but yet you couldn't find my treatment plan or anything? HMMMMM So, I decide to get a second opinion. Went to a Periodontist-- turns out my gums are fine NOTHING is higher than a 3 and the normal range is 1 to 3mm. She was so thankfully I came for a second opinion and oh they cleaned my teeth right on the spot. They also struggled to get my x-rays from Aspen. Hey guess what Aspen, those are my records I own them not you. Anyways, went down some rabbit holes there are reddit threads and Facebook pages dedicated to Aspen's SCAM. I realize they aren't all owned by the same person, but just beware. I cannot imagine how many people are taken advantage of who just want to make sure they are healthy. You all should be ashamed. Healthcare is to help people, not to profit off of uninformed people. It's really sad.
Fantastic experience: I went in depressed. Have been for a while because of the total misfit of my dentures. The Doctor listened and came through. I had tears forming from joy finally. I felt so good, I broke out singing along with the Christmas music playing at the main bus depot. People on the bus even commented on how they could see a change in my being. I can't wait to finalize the point of implanting. Sure it will be a while but soon I'll have what it'll take to get me there. Come on December 16th!
Negative experience: Horrible experience! Didn’t have “time” to pull a very painful tooth! What a joke! Then came back with a quote of THOUSANDS of dollars for two crowns! Keep driving by this place….
Fantastic experience: The office staff are very friendly and helpful. A special thank you to Cindy, Jamie, and Elaina in the front office. I got a treatment plan and they explained everything in detail. These are truly "Golden Girls"! I also got financing. They said I could even make payments. Dr. Starkey is amazing! He took his time with me and made sure I was happy and comfortable with all my dental work and procedures. He went the extra mile. You just can't find doctors who care enough to make sure their patients are truly satisfied like he does. Thank you also to Perry and China for not making me feel uncomfortable, even while having bad dental situations. The whole experience was very pleasant. So glad I found a great place for all my dental work. The team is so caring. I can't say enough about this place. You won't be disappointed and uncomfortable. It's the best decision you will ever make coming to Aspen Dental!

Negative experience: Went to get a broken tooth removed, got quotes to repair teeth that cost many thousands of dollars. They didnt quote the periodontal disease which would make those repaired teeth fall out anyway. Still have the broken tooth. Trying to milk every penny for temporary fixes for long term issues. Nothing got solved on this visit, just more quotes I cant possibly do anything about. Aspen is for rich people not people working a regular job, paying normal wages. I have owned 15 cars that all together cost less than there partial quote. Overall my review is on the practice of trying to milk every penny, not the people working there. Everyone was super nice.
Fantastic experience: First time here. Called into several practices before choosing this one. Hadn't been to the dentist in awhile so there was plenty for the techs and specialist to go over. They did explain the necessary exams and findings in a way I could understand. I went there for a crown adjustment initially and that went better than expected and quick. Overall, it was a vibrant and welcoming atmosphere from the check-in to getting an expensive but necessary proposal for restoringneglected crests and troughs of my teeth. Will be returning for future needs.

Negative experience: Would not do cosmetic work unless I pay 7000 for gum cleaning and that is with good insurance! A circle electric toothbrush is no good! I need one from Aspen dental that is a regular shape! Funny how my teeth were great 3 years ago! Left telling them I guess my teeth will just fall out then! Buyer BEWARE!!!!!!!

Negative experience: Didn’t like the way that your financial lady was talking to me about my two dental plans like my plans really don’t pay for. My wife and I WOULD HAVE TO SPEND 20 thousand to get are my 6 teeth pulled and a partial plate made and my wood need her upper and lower dentures replaced 20 thousand was out of pocket

Negative experience: Bad couldn't get a tooth pulled on my visit but told me what I should do and make more appointments to get work done on my mouth first time I was there I. 2024 they pulled my tooth no problem but now no so debating on if I can or should go back to them. They ran my insurance and told them over the phone that I had a broke tooth

Negative experience: Stay far away from any Aspen dentals! I went to this location on Arlington road and also took my son. The miscommunication alone is enough reason to stay away, however.. both I and my 15 year old son were told we have gum disease. I went first and paid thousands of dollars for treatment which was also not real fun to sit through. Then son went and they not only said he has gum disease but also needed numerous root canals and additional work. I found a new dentist for him first because they dont do root canals there. The new dentist said he definitely doesn’t have gum disease nor did he need most of the work aspen was trying to do including multiple root canals! Because of that I also found a new dentist, different from sons. This new dentist also told me I do not have gum disease. I have found out from many ppl I know after this happened that this happens to EVERYONE! It’s not just this location, it’s all of them! They over treat everyone for things that don’t even exist and are obviously just money grabbing and not actually correctly caring for patients. Tell your friends and family to stay away! Update: just because they replied in the way they did, I want to clarify. I was scheduled and charged for gum disease treatment prior to them actually even doing the procedure that tells them accurately that yes I do have the disease (I don’t)based on my gum pocket measurements. I made them realize this when I asked questions prior to the first treatment. Had I not made them realize this, I was told insurance wouldn’t even have covered the treatment. They blew it off when they realized like it was simple mistake. To me that just shows they diagnose everyone and treat them for the money. Add to that this treatment they had me pay thousands of dollars for AND asked me for more money at my last appointment which I declined paying till they researched my account further because I shouldn’t have owed anything else. At some point I think someone in the office realized they way overcharged me because my loan company got a payment from them of over 700 dollars!!
Fantastic experience: We love our dentistry team at the Arlington Road, Akron Aspen Dental! My wife and I couldn't ask for a better place. They give great service and our business with them always has gone smoothly and fairly. We're very grateful that they treat us like neighbors, not numbers. 5 stars everytime.
Negative experience: They are extremely unprofessional! This so called office manager yelled at my best friend, she got it recorded. My best friend already has chronic illnesses and she has lost 7 lbs since this soft relign. She went in to get it checked, the dentist told her to go to an allergist, which is going to cost her money she Dee don't have or take it off. She eventually substance put on at the visit but the woman who did it left it so chopped UP, it looks like she has waves of material stuck on her immediate denture. She can't handle alot of stress and the way she was treated caused her to pass out while I was trying to talk to her to keep her home, while driving. I literally had to call 911 when she said and SHOWED me her mouth was STILL swollen and she was still shaking up from that office manager. That dentist didn't even look at her her mouth to see if she had an intention!! She never even got the original problem fixed, stuff is getting stuck under her palette and its so swollen, she can't swallow anything! I swear on my life, IM coming from Chicago and someone with legal authority better do something about this malpractice. Yes, this is malpractice when the job the dentist does makes you worse.
Fantastic experience: Couldn't find anyone open to help after normal work hours, 6AM -6PM or anyone open on Saturdays. This establishment was open to help those of us who cannot get off work for 3 hours a day 2 days a week and no Saturdays. Some of us cannot take off work as we would lose our jobs or take sick time. They had no power because of storms in the morning and called as soon as they had power back. Thank you for helping. I had a broken tooth with major pain. Dr. helped with a temporary until I could get it fixed. Also did not pull a tooth that is savable. 10 out of 10. Also, for anyone that has Guardian for dental insurance, which is a complete joke, they have great rates for those of us who work for a living.
Fantastic experience: I’ve struggled for years with going to the dentist, where other dentists and hygienists have wheedled and patronized me — as if I have bad teeth for the fun of it! The result was avoiding the dentist, even when I was experiencing pain. I’m so glad I made an appointment here. The neutrality with which staff at Aspen Dental approached my dental issues, offering useful insight on how my teeth affect my overall health with no judgment or lecturing, was a game changer. My root canal was as close to painless as it could be, and their endodontist Dr. Jose was extremely kind. I don’t know how their prices compare with other offices, but I appreciate that they offer direct support with financing, so that is one less barrier between patients and care.

Positive experience: Only got upper work done, but they are very helpful when I have a question. Had my first soft relign yesterday. Not only did I sleep for 14 hours but I have a blister on my gum where it hurts to now where the immediate denture, sore throat as well. I called the office, the reception ssudy"you're probably just getting sick." Because she has never heard of someone having a reaction. I told her,I have mast cell activation, I am very sensitive. Omg !

Fantastic experience: Very thorough and attentive service. Dr. Starkey and his staff were very professional and performed the services I needed at a fraction of the cost I was quoted elsewhere. I won’t hesitate to return to them for my dental care.
Fantastic experience: I recently moved to Arkon from NJ Aspen dental the staff was nice and friendly. One issue I had the wait was a bit long .but my Doctor was nice and at cheek out that young lady was wonderful .I am pleased with the service . They even help out with a issue my husband was having thank you from helen philbert
Fantastic experience: I’ve been to other Aspen Dental locations before but Arlington rd is by far the best. I can’t say enough good things about this dental office! From the moment you walk in, you’re greeted with a warm welcome and a clean, calming atmosphere that instantly puts you at ease. The front desk staff is friendly, efficient, and always helpful with scheduling and insurance questions. The dental team is absolutely top-notch—professional, knowledgeable, and incredibly gentle. They take the time to explain every step of your care and make sure you’re comfortable throughout the entire process. I never feel rushed or overlooked, which is rare and so appreciated. I highly recommend.

Fantastic experience: I really enjoy coming to this location. They are very helpful and answer all questions with no judgement. Perry is my hygienist and she is truly wonderful. She always gives clear instructions and really cares about the health of your teeth and gums. She is very thorough. I highly recommend her and this location!

Fantastic experience: Dr. Maurer performed a tooth extraction on me. He and his assistant were very personable and professional. They both made sure I was comfortable during the procedure.
Fantastic experience: They are absolutely amazing at Aspen. This was my first visit there and they were all so friendly, thorough and helpful. I highly recommend Aspen. If my insurance was acepted there I would keep them for my continued dental care, but I needed in for an emergency visit. I got x-rays and assessments all for free! That alone is a huge savings.
Negative experience: Never sent me a bill then all of a sudden I get a message saying that I have a bill in collections almost a year after an appointment. Countless phone calls to both this branch and corporate office billing and no one can do anything because it’s already in collections. This company is nothing but fraudulent charges and scammers. Don’t go here unless you wanna go to court.
Fantastic experience: I went to the one in Akron on Arlington Road. This place is great. I would highly recommend. I called there with severe tooth pain and they were able to see me the same day and take care of the problem. The office and rooms were all very clean and everyone that worked there was friendly and didn’t treat you like you were just another customer. The dentist took extra time and steps to show me where my pain was actually coming from. He was very professional but had a good sense of humor. He explained everything he was gonna do before he did it. He pulled my tooth out with absolutely no pain felt by me at high. His dental assistant was great too. Great job Aspen. I will definitely recommend you to my family and friends.

Fantastic experience: I had bonding done on a front tooth. The process was quick and painless and I am very pleased with the result. The dentist and hygienist checked with me frequently during the procedure to see how I was doing.
