Fantastic experience: I recently had to have several fillings done and I was very happy with the care I received at Dentalworks. Dr Ragunanthan and Rue where very kind and attentive and where able to due two of my fillings the day of my initial appointment. I came back to have the other fillings a few days later and they were rather busy, but still just as kind and attentive as the first visit. They had help for another hygienist named Renee on this visit and she was lovely. I think having a bit more permanent staff in the office would help then continue that standard of care they provided to me.

They make the experience of going to the dentist an all around great experience. If you are looking for a new dental office, this is one you should consider.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Ragu, rue, the lady that did my cleaning, the receptionist. I was just there today, September 4, 2025 at 3 PM. I’m sure I spelled everyone’s name wrong when I say excellent service, that’s an understatement. True meaning of making you feel 100% comfortable. If everyone in some aspect of customer service, could take a training class from this staff, the world would be a Better place.. Guys continue to do what you do, you guys are amazing and everyone deserves a raise!

Fantastic experience: Dr. Kanthasamy Ragunanthan and his staff at Dental Works are amazing, as I required an emergency crown repair on tooth 31. Dr. Ragunanthan calmed my fears while explaining that this would also require a root canal. He built up a temporary crown and assisted in scheduling the endodontic treatment. This all occurred within a 24 hour time frame, now that's service. I have found my new dentist and I'm looking forward to being his patient. Keith J. Ford 9-3-2025

My hygienist, Renee, was amazing, and Dr. Ragu was so good and efficient, and has the best energy of any dentist I’ve ever seen!

Fantastic experience: From the time you walk through the doors, even for calling, the staff is incredibly friendly, homely, and informative. Barbara, who is the receptionist, is the most genuine and kind human I’ve ever met, working at a dental office. Dr. Ragú is very kind, gentle, and soft, yet quick and very proficient. I went in regarding some concerns on some teeth, and came out knowing i have 5 cavities, and got every single appointment set that first visit. They go through their care plan with you, what gets done at what visit, and even goes over what you’ll pay out of pocket any time you ask. I’ve never been a fan of dentists and haven’t been in years, but I’d go to Dr. Ragu over anyone else! Filling cavities was painless, (for the most part) and quick!

Fantastic experience: Omg Barbara, is wonderful very friendly, and knowledgeable, dental hygienist Renee is phenomenal!!! Definitely recommend for anyone getting teeth whitening and cleaning she’s 10 stars and Dr. Ragu he’s so nice and professional treats you like family and listens to you with all your concerns. They are the best for all my dental needs. No need to go anywhere else.

Negative experience: Husband had a CONFIRMED appointment today. Confirmation text shown. They "didn't know" why they didn't have his appointment set up. Asked for 150 bucks but then said well we can't help you anyways we're booked. Thanks for wasting our time and having absolutely no customer service skills.

Fantastic experience: Hello, I was fearful of dentist after seeing several others. Today I met some very impressive people at DentalWorks & Orthodontist. I was blown away how kind they were. Anyone needs a great dentist, come in and see for yourself! Next to Marc's in South Plaza. Heartfelt and thankful, God bless you all!!

Negative experience: I have a broken wisdom tooth. I made an appointment. The people seemed very nice. And educational. Then they sat me down for my treatment plan. Handed me a bill for 3500. Didn't even include pulling my wisdom tooth. That was another 650. I called Aspen dental. Got a free exam and x rays and they pulled the tooth for 208.00. The cleaning and fillings will cost just around 1g. So where did Dental Works come up with over a 4 k estimate . To pull a tooth. Clean my teeth and fill 4 cavities. Again. The staff was very nice. 5 star. Price. 0 stars.

Negative experience: Went here a few weeks ago with an Abscessed molar. Spent the 149$ for their dental care package. Wouldn't remove the molar, referred me to a surgeon in their network. Here's the kicker, YOU CAN"T GET AHOLD OF ANYONE. Some genius decided it was a great idea to outsource ALL calls to INDIA. So on top of being in massive amount of pain, let's add repeating yourself 1000x because you really can't understand one another. If that wasn't enough. The referral office won't call me back. Who runs this place??? GO SOMEWHERE ELSE, ANYWHERE..

Negative experience: Brought my Mom into the Dental Works Akron office bc she had teeth aches. The staff were nice. Spent $150 for exam, not too bad. After examination, Dr Ragu recommended extractions. Referred us to either the Fairlawn or Belden office for the extractions. On 4/1 after a run around, I called the Fairlawn office back to schedule an appointment. Said they couldn’t get us in until 4/30. This is when they were told her pain is 8 (1-10 most painful). Told us to call the Belden location bc it looked like they have 4/9 available. Called Belden and they said they couldn’t take her until 5/9, or 5/10 with sedation. These people were heartless. Wasted time and money. I ended up calling my dentist, although a little farther away, Arlington Dental got her in today and did extractions same day in-house. I’m out $150 but live and learn.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Ragu is wonderful. He is very conscientious about his patients needs and wants, and strives to give them the best of his ability. He looks into all possibilities and gives them what is best for them. He goes above and beyond what he needs to for his patients. If you are in a hurry, don’t pick Dr. Ragu, because he will definitely take the time to do his very best job for each individual. His personable attitude is very enlightening and contagious. My husband and I are very lucky indeed to have found Dr. Ragu and will be with him through all our needs for dental work.

Negative experience: Updating my previous review … after Dr. Nirmal left I feel things have gone down hill at this location. Most times the haven’t been able to keep a hygentist and have had to go to other office for cleanings. The work I had done here … including replacing a filling and crown didn’t last. The filling came out within days and they replaced and came out again … the crown lasted only a year. Was going to take almost 2 weeks to get back in within them to fix. Once I had their first morning appointment and dr rolled in to building 20 minutes after start time. Trying elsewhere as highly disappointed.

Negative experience: warning: Stay away from this place. The procedures they do are only for profit. They will avoid cleaning and filling cavities. My daughter had 2 cavities that they missed. They only did a root canal, the cap won't stay on, she went back to have it fixed, but it still fell off. She went to a new dentist and had her teeth cleaned, which dental works would not do and she had her 2 cavities filled, which should have been detected by Dr. Jordan. And the tooth they did work on, now has to be pulled. They screwed up on obtaining my eligibility from my insurance company on a procedure, which has left me with a $900.00 bill. And when you have a complaint, you cannot talk to Corporate, nobody in the company will give you the number or contact information. Worst experience I have had with a dentist in my entire life.

Negative experience: If I could leave negative stars I would , my mom got her teeth removed and they rescheduled twice because the dentist tested positive for COVID once , then again cause of a birthday party. When she finally got in the didn't write the proper info in the prescription and want to transfer you back and forth when you call to get the dosage and info you legally need to have your script filled. Unprofessional as can be , how do you not put the dosage info and codes they need to fill something. DO NOT GO HERE

Negative experience: I have yet to be seen at this office but boy can I tell you some things. First off my insurance called and scheduled my childs appt and came back on my line to give me the date and time. After thinking, I called the office myself to see if I could get my other child in also..but Ronelle stated there was no appointment for my child that particular date or time or no one scheduled that date. And mind you she was a very rude, unprofessional person who doesn't belong working with people. So I then called Cigna back to see where exactly my child had an appt scheduled. I had them and Ronelle on 3 way. My insurance then proceeded to read the other Associates notes, with name, date time etc...Ronelle then got smart the insurance lady. She argued and then stated they do see new patients but being the interaction we had earlier she was refusing my child to be seen. Mind you all of this on a recorded line, then when I asked her the Corporate number she told me to Google it and hung up on me. I wish I could write all day because that's just the icing on the cake. Never the less my attorney has been contacted.

Fantastic experience: A very nice place to go, the Dentist is so very patient and kind; he’s willing to do what I want to do not a whole plan at first. I would definitely recommend for anyone who needs any work done.

Negative experience: Well had to have a root canal because the company didn’t put my crown on right, the temp fell off twice, then the permit stayed but the one behind it fell off (which was a permanent) all in a matter of 2-3 months. Basically $3,000 down the drain. Also while they kept having to repeatedly fix THEIR mistakes they kept trying to sell me on products like teeth whitening, braces, ect. I honestly wish I had found a more qualified dentist practice sooner!!!

Negative experience: After two prior messages and no return phone call. I called and spoke to their office manager regarding a mutual patient that had recently moved to our area. I explained that he had a crown prepped in their office pre COVID and that he had moved away before they reopened. She said they had a new system that didn't allow her to see records prior to 3/2020 and that there is no crown in her office (he paid for this service in full). In our state we are required by law to keep records for 7 years that means x-rays documentation and lab work. I did question them keeping records and then she spoke to as if I were a child... very rude. Granted I'm calling from another dental office. I would think she would have spoken a little more professionally. Now that I see other reviews speaking of a similar experience when presenting treatment plans. I feel bad for a patient calling with a reasonable question and being spoken to that way is... tragic.

Negative experience: I knew I needed extensive work done before I walked in. And I was aware how my new insurance worked. After the dentist examined my teeth, the manager (I assume that’s who she was) brought in a “treatment plan" and I about flipped! She insisted that my insurance only covered 50% on these procedures and proceeded to argue with me even though I confirmed my plan and how it worked twice before I walked in. They told me that, first, they wouldn’t touch my mouth until they did a deep cleaning. I was also told that in addition to the extractions, there were 4 teeth that needed filled and that I needed a night guard because apparently I grind my teeth at night. When I got home I called my insurance company and we had a 3-way call with them. The manager told me she couldn’t change it, that it had to go through corporate and they would have to change it line by line. A week later I hadn’t heard anything so I called to check and the snotty manager advised she had a note on her computer, she didn’t forget me. I let several weeks go by, having heard nothing, I mean, really? How long does it take? I called and requested my xrays and made appointment with another dentist. First, the new dentist said I didn’t need a deep cleaning, then said I didn’t have 4 cavities to be filled, and I didn’t need a night guard! You figure that out! So, bottom line is, NO, I do not recommend this place unless you want to pay for work that you may not need!

Negative experience: If I could rate a zero I would. Went for a routine cleaning because my normal dentist couldn’t get me in until November. Didn’t even know I had cavities but I had two. No pain prior. Fixed both and one “went bad” within two weeks. Went back in so they can fix the problem & he redid my filling. Before he “fixed it” i was in 6/10 pain. Well now that the numbing meds wore off I am In 10/10 pain & in tears as I type this. I will need a root canal done & I’m absolutely not getting it done here. I do not recommend. Don’t waste your time, money or sanity.

Negative experience: Orthodontist is great, staff is very helpful. I got there earlier than my scheduled time and they were still able to take care of me. I am giving them a one star because I can never reach them. I saw 3 phones when I went in to the office but no one ever seems to pick up when I call. I leave several messages and still no call back. All I want to do is schedule an appointment to pickup my retainers that I already paid for. It’s as if you need to physically drive there in order to get things done timely. It’s been a week of leaving voicemails and I am still waiting for a call back. Totally annoying!
