Negative experience: I’ve been debating whether to share my experience, and after thinking it over, I decided I should. First of all, the staff here are very patient — from the front desk to the dental assistants, everyone is polite and professional. However, the most important issue is that they don’t seem to be very familiar with their own insurance procedures. I have Delta Dental insurance, and before my first visit, I confirmed that they are a Premier Dentist, which means my insurance should cover them. I even provided all my insurance details in advance. I asked the front desk whether the initial exam and X-rays would be fully covered, and she told me that as long as I hadn’t used the same code before, I wouldn’t have to pay out of pocket. But what they didn’t tell me is that for Premier Dentists, the insurance only covers the “allowed amount,” so I ended up being billed $57 for Code D0150 and D0277. I find it hard to believe that after reviewing my insurance information, they didn’t know there would be a portion I’d have to pay. Or maybe they just weren’t familiar with the rules? Next, about the appointment itself — I went in because I had chewing pain on the right side. After the first visit, they didn’t give me any answer, saying the dentist needed to review the X-rays and that I should come back for a consultation to discuss the treatment plan. That sounded reasonable, and I still felt positive at that point. But during the second consultation, the dentist mainly talked about my tartar buildup, saying I needed a cleaning and that they’d make a detailed treatment plan to see what kind of cleaning I’d need. I was confused — what about my tooth pain? What’s causing it? The dentist never really addressed that. I finally asked if it could be related to my wisdom teeth and whether I needed an extraction. He said, “It probably is,” but that I’d need to see an oral surgeon to confirm. So I was left wondering — what exactly can you diagnose here? I understand extractions may not be done at this clinic, but I expected at least some explanation about the cause of my pain. In the end, I guess in life we always have to pay for our experiences, one way or another.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Vagadia is a true class act. I experienced a very painful dental issue on a Friday evening going into July 4th weekend. I called into Summit Dental immediately and explained my pain level and issue. He was very compassionate and asked how soon could I get there. It was within a couple hours of them closing going into a holiday weekend remind you. He got me right in and took care of me and did an on the spot procedure. Not to mention everytime you see him, you’re always greeted with a handshake and a smile. This guy genuinely cares about his patients. He remembers your occupation, your family, your vacations, and so much more. He is also great with my son who is 4 years old. Highly satisfied!
