Fantastic experience: If I could give 10+ stars I would. My former dentist retired and I really hesitated to come here at first. All of the team, Dr. Scaggs, Dr. Penchan, Nicole and staff are extremely professional and friendly. Nicole is the hygentist and thoroughly explained what I needed to address on my cleanings. I definitely recommend this practice because Dr. Scaggs and team really show a genuine concern on taking care of you.

Fantastic experience: I am a new patient and went in for my first visit this week. Everyone was very welcoming and friendly. They were very thorough in getting my history, X-rays and initial exam. The hygienist gave good tips I had not heard before on how to Improve cleaning between crowns and improve gum health. Dr. Skaggs was very personable and gave good advice regarding fluoride treatment. All in all it was a very pleasant experience. The staff made me feel at home. They got to know me as a person as well as a patient. I would recommend this practice to anyone looking for a new dentist.

Fantastic experience: Angela was as gentle as she could be, and did a good cleaning! Dr. Penchan found expensive (!) work that needs to be done, but carefully and clearly explained why, what choices I have, how long it will take, and how we will proceed to get the best outcome.Everything was done the way it should be done! Sept.5 - Dr. Penchan & Ronnie did the first appt. on my new crown. All done carefully, and efficiently. Feb. 9, 2026 - Had a crown come off during breakfast. I was in a dental chair shortly after 1-am, and on my home, with a repaired crown, before 11. Dr. Penchan and Mary were fast efficient and friendly in making the fix. Thanks!

Fantastic experience: Today I had a standard cleaning. I had previously been going to a dentist in Plano. That practice had been sold and had become a typical badly run and solely for-profit enterprise. I had seen multiple dentists there in the last couple of years and multiple “hygienists” (I use quotation marks because I’m not sure they were all properly trained). My last visit with them had been in March and I knew I wasn’t going back. I’m glad I tried this practice today. Conveniently located 5 minutes from my house, the service I received today was far superior to any cleaning I had had recently. The office is clean and comfortable. The hygienist listened to my concerns and educated me as the cleaning went on. All in, the X-rays, exam, and cleaning took about 1.5 hours, which I kind of expected since my last cleanings were poor. It looked like I had had whitening done—I was so impressed. It was also a relief to know my teeth and gums were in great shape regardless of the ridiculous mistreatment at the previous office. I also wasn’t upsold on treatments I didn’t need. I will definitely recommend that my friends and family try this office!

We switched from a good dentist in Richardson but got too far and they went to limited days. Dr Skaggs is particular and detailed which you want in a dentist. Their practice is accommodating and has updated equipment. She replaced a broke crown, filling, and have had two cleanings. also fitted a nightguard. So far so good!

Fantastic experience: I have been a years long, Dr. Proctor patient and was recently moved over to Josey Lane Dentistry. This was my second cleaning and was probably one of the best visits I’ve had in years. The dental hygienist used the manual cleaning tools as opposed to the water tool and I appreciate that level of care, detail and precision as opposed to the water rinse. The office staff was friendly and talked to me through my billing questions as well as potential retainer or Invisalign options. Picking a dentist is a sensitive thing to do, so I’m thankful for the relationship from Dr. Proctor‘s office to Josey Lane Dentistry and will continue with my services.

Fantastic experience: Whether you hate the dentist or love them you have to come here!! The staff is incredibly friendly and accommodating. They do not want you to be in any pain or discomfort and will take very, very good care of you. I bring my daughter here and it's the only place she's ever felt comfortable. The totally put her at ease. The most difficult case is my husband. He's not a fan of the dentist and sweats profusely, riddled with anxiety. Fantastic experience: I had a broken tooth which was irreparable. They got me in within less than 24 hours and called themselves to get me an appointment to see an oral surgeon the next morning. I could’ve gone that day for a consult but chose to wait until the next morning to get it all done at once. Everyone at Josey Lane Dentistry is extremely nice and professional. I was happy with them and the oral surgeon they referred me to. I would say the whole experience was pain free but with the whole broken in half tooth thing and pain I’ll stick with as pleasant as possible and thankful for their help. Would definitely go back and do recommend.

As an Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon in the Carrollton area who has worked professionally with this practice for 15 years, I can attest to their superlative patient care and the compassion and skill with which it is rendered. Doctors Scaggs and Penchan diagnose their patients thoroughly, recommend what needs to be taken care of and they point out what might require treatment in the future, but they do not recommend unnecessary treatments or procedures. The patients that I have treated that have been referred to me by their office are overwhelmingly pleased with the treatment that they receive there. I can personally attest to the quality of the care that is rendered there and the considerate manner in which it is delivered, not only from the reports of their patients, but also from my own experience because for the past 15 years, they have been my dentists!
