I’ve had some horrible experiences in the past with other dentists but my experience here has always been positive. The staff is awesome and efficient. They are very personable. They don’t try to get me to have work done that I don’t need which is refreshing. As long as I’m in the valley I won’t go to another dentist.

Fantastic experience: As much as a dental visit makes me want to pull my hair out, this office is the absolute best at easing my trepidation. Everyone from the front desk staff to the hygienists are so friendly and personable. Dr. Boscamp takes the time to chat and find out if you have any concerns and lets you know about things to watch for. By the time I leave, I’m always glad I came.

Negative experience: Very disappointed I have never paid for X-rays or imaging at any dentist office. Now they told me that if I didn't pay extra money for unnecessary and duplicative X-rays then they would not treat me for my general cleaning. Really? I've had all of those X-rays/imaging in the past and NEVER had to pay anything out of pocket. Same insurance, same coverage, just now they want MORE MONEY. Dr. Boscamp is a great dentist. But recently the front office has provided us too many headaches. I've paid them a ton of money to give everyone in my family a pretty smile. I had the intention today of starting that process for myself. Guess I'll find another dentist office.

Fantastic experience: Great dental practice. Always so informative and conservative with treatment options. Once I got a night guard that stopped fitting after a week, and they went to bat for me with the company that made it and got free replacements.

Negative experience: Originally I gave this company 5 stars. They were great. Keeping it simple - I spoke with the owner of the business and it's plain to see it's a money play over customers. When you've been going somewhere for 5 years, spent tens of thousands with them and their referrals, and have a large family... you would think there would be a little respect. I didn't respond to a text fast enough so they replaced my appointment. It's truly a garbage practice. I've always showed up for my appointments and paid my bills. Because I didn't respond to a text I have to waste my time traveling there to find this out. I have wait MONTHS between appointment availability. So when I find out my appointment was given away so they can protect every dime of business... I'm already angry walking in that door. Let me tell you. They do not care. They will tell you how wrong you are and they feel their messages are enough. They don't owe you anything. You're replaceable and they just prove it by getting someone else in the door. They used to be fast with quality customer care... now they have enough business that they literally don't care about you personally... only if you show up and pay. Demonstrated by lack of responses through many attempts, and responses that took 2 months just to get the owner to give a crap enough - only AFTER I called his office several times and reviewed his company and contacted him through facebook messenger. Sad. They turned terrible.

Fantastic experience: My previous dentist retired and sold his practice. I wasn’t happy with the new owners so i stopped going back there. I have anxiety about trying new dentists and doctors and my husband tried a few and found Desert Family Dental and highly recommended them to me. I walked in and was greeted with kindness right away from the front desk lady Chris. Every employee is kind here. They explain everything they are doing before they do it. They don’t mind you asking questions. They didn’t ask me how often i floss lol which was a relief. They even said that for my not being to a dentist in a few years my teeth were in great shape considering. You can see the photos of your teeth they take as they take them. I had to get some minor periodontal work and i didn’t even hurt or was sore after, Amanda did a great job. Chris broke down my explanation of charges and gave me printouts of everything so they are transparent on the costs. I believe Paloma was another whom i saw that helped me as well. I forget the main dentists name but he was very good as well. I highly recommend their office.

Fantastic experience: My daughter was in need of care for a tooth ache. Desert Family Dentistry made it so easy to make an appointment online with immediate availability. The staff and doctor are so friendly and helpful. Also, the treatment my daughter needed was done same day without having to come back for treatment at a later date.

Negative experience: I initially went in with a plan to get my upper teeth pulled and get dentures. I was sold on an "immediate denture". I'm not a dentist, im a mechanic. I would never sell someone something that they don't need or would be a waste of resources. That being said, I had all my teeth pulled and had a denture placed in before I woke up. It lasted two days before I had to remove it from swelling and pain. I'm told that's longer then most last. Fast forward to NINE months later, yeah I had to go BACK to the oral surgeon for an alveoloplasty. Not fun. Now that I'm all healed the denture that was made for me is SOOOOO loose it cannot be made to fit. No big deal, EXCEPT, I can only get 1 denture every 10 years from my insurance. This is a rookie mistake by them to let my insurance cover this unusable denture when I could have just not even been sold it in the first place. So 650 bucks for a 2 day denture essentially. If you're reading this and thinking about dentures, just have your teeth pulled, heal for a few months then go get a denture fit. The "IMMEDIATE DENTURE" is a scam and a waste of money.

Positive experience: I'm not sure why getting someone's first name right is so difficult. Pretty much every single time I've gone (6-7x) now they've gotten it wrong, and it's not an uncommon name. And now, in the review request email they've added the word "ortho" between my first and last names. Obviously whomever did that wasn't smart enough to realize that any external communication with me would display that. Idiots.

Fantastic experience: They were ver accommodating and got me in same day with an infected tooth. They noticed the problem got me on antibiotics right away and were honest enough to say the job would be safer to be done by an oral surgeon. On top of that they found me one that accepted my insurance and made all the arrangements for me. Definitely a great feeling to know they care and put in the leg work for me in a time of need.

Fantastic experience: Just had a new patient exam and cleaning and everything was great. Audra did so many xrays so quickly I was very impressed... Sweet and knowledgeable, too, and has small hands for my small mouth! I'll be keeping them as my primary dentist and would recommend! Front desk people very sweet, too!

Fantastic experience: I'm a busy mom of four and Dr. Boscamp helped fix my coffee stains, tooth problems, and he never made me feel bad. He definitely is a conservative treatment plans that save his patients money. I'm happy his receptionists are friendly and also that my teeth are clear of coffee stains!

Negative experience: Good luck trying to get in because the front desk staff is rude and will constantly cancel your appointments. My mom has been bragging about this place to us and how she liked the dentist but after seeing her struggle multiple times with canceled appointments I'll never go here. Your front desk staff has no idea what they're doing. If it happens once...I get it that stuff happens but messing up again?!

Fantastic experience: My opinion about this office has changed over the last few years. Everyone there does everything they can to accommodate the patient. They have shown patience, flexibility, and kindness - and I am high maintenance. The dentist, Dr. Boscamp, continues to stay one step ahead of the curve and proactively tends to his patients needs. I’ve seen the fatherly side of him which makes it easier for me to show up every time. Lastly, this office has worked with me as far as payments go because I have literally $1,000,000 worth of work needing done. Almost that much. I always recommend Dr Boscamp to my friends and coworkers.

I booked my appointment online for a consultation, and walked out with a fixed chip on my front tooth in the same day! Negative experience: The doctor was very rude and didn’t want to understand me, he is unprofessional and he broke my son’s tooth, it can be , may be it happened this situation but his behavior was very bad , why didn’t you know that it can be on it this situation , and didn’t do anything , I am very sad , because I just want to him remove discolorization from my son’s tooth. How can I know it could be happen it, I don’t forgive him. my english may not be very good so she even insulted me. After treatment , he asks to me , may be it can get thinner , it got thinner and broken .Thank you dessert dentist , you solved our problem , but the other lady tried to understand us and she was very kindful,

Fantastic experience: I enjoy going to Desert Family Dentistry. I have been going there since 2008. Insurance changed so was unable to be seen for about 5 years. It is so nice to be a patient again. Dr. Boscanp and his staff really know how to make you feel comfortable. I always enjoy my visits. I would recommend his to everyone.

Positive experience: My initial appointment was impressive. They took time to do a careful exam. They explained that work to do so I am comfortable with the plan. I'm super disappointed. I love this dentist, but they stopped accepting my insurance and I had an unexpected bill for a cleaning. I didn't know what the bill was for and paid it not knowing why I had a bill at all. Luckily they checked on my benefits before I got another surprise bill for my next teeth cleaning. I love this dentist, darn it. Bummer.

Fantastic experience: Best Dental Practice in the valley. Normally nervous with dental places. Not here they truly care about you and your oral care. Don’t hesitate to try them out. Negative experience: I have been coming to your facility for 20+ years. Before you purchased the practice I had crowns installed by the prior dentist. I have had my teeth cleaned on a regular 3 month basis throughout this period. My last cleaning (today) was the worst I have experienced. For the first time in all these years I was 15 minutes late (due to a late construction delivery). I was informed by your hygienist that I was lucky the next appointment canceled otherwise I would be required to reschedule. Her tone of voice was as if she was speaking to a child. She is fortunate I did not turn around and leave. I do not tolerate rude behavior. Prior to the covid pandemic I moved to North Phoenix 3 mile north of the Carefree Highway. It takes one hour to drive to your clinic. Several have asked me why I still do it? Misplaced loyalty perhaps. Oh, I was charged $144.00 for 30 minutes of cleaning. I normally have fluoride applied. She did not offer or provide this service. Her cleaning was perfunctory and less thorough than any previous hygienist. I was going to let this pass...but...you asked.

Negative experience: After seeing my daughter multiple times, Dr. Clinton refused to see her for a dental emergency stating they needed more forms since my MIL brought her. I sent the forms many times, she had brought her 2-3 times and had been seen with no issues before. She missed school and now we have to wait until Saturday to have her seen at another dentist. They wouldn’t even let my husband, her father, make the appointment for her stating he wasn’t on whatever form they needed! He’s her father!! They have the absolute worst staff, I would never recommend them to anyone! The worst part is he was a family friend!!

Positive experience: The girls at the front desk and back (dental hygienists, assistants) are sooo amicable & Profesional. I always felt so comfortable with them and Dr. Clinton was always professional and I also liked him. The only reason why I'm giving a 3 stars is because I had to wait 4 months for our first appointments and we started getting treatments with them right away and appointments were sooner. This week I had to reschedule my kids 6 month cleaning appointment due to covid symptoms and they wanted to reschedule for Oct. 6 months later.. I also got a crown 2 weeks ago and still have sensitivity. Will have to look for a different dentist just for the inconvenience long wait to get appointments. So if you are looking for a reliable Dentis for your family who is available within 2 weeks. This is not a dentist office for your family.
