Negative experience: I called way before joining this dental office if my Delta Dental was covered they informed it was after several visit the front office said my insurance was not covered and to pay several hundred dollars in cost. The Doctor was extremely Great but his Staff always seemed to sell me additional services not covered even with apparently out of network coverage. Crazy how a staff can ruin such a good Doctor office.

Fantastic experience: I love Sierra Family Dentistry for so many reasons! Their front office staff is so helpful and knowledgeable, the hygienist team is wonderful and so gentle and the dentists are always friendly and make you feel like one of the family! It’s never crowded there, you never wait past your appointment time, you always know what you’ll be billed or what you owe that day! They text you if they have earlier openings and work hard to accommodate your busy schedule! Super happy I found them!!

Fantastic experience: I have been going to Sierra Family for years. Everyone is always super nice. I can't imagine going anywhere else. Update; 02/25/2026 Another great visit to Sierra Family. I’m following up because the hygienist I had today was amazing. Her hand was so amazingly steady with the water pressure plaque remover thing, there was zero uncomfortableness. Fantastic experience: I was staying in Chandler, Arizona when the crown on one of my molars popped off. I called three other dentists before one of them recommended Sierra. It was late in the afternoon, but they were able to get me in the next morning and take care of it pretty quickly. Everyone was very professional and helpful.

Both Dr. Rauschel and Dr. Zaidi are incredible and the staffs are working with them for long time (that’s a very good sign of stable and trustworthy practice). Fantastic experience: It was my first visit to Sierra Family Dentistry. I was warmly greeted as they took my information. Each person introduced themselves to me telling me what they were going to do. The dental hygienist was excellent. The visitor with the doctor was professional, presenting options with a well thought out plan of treatment. My visit at Sierra was a five star experience.

Fantastic experience: Dr Rauschel, Dr Zaidi, and their staff are A-MAZING!! They're 100% transparent, honest, they'll even let you know what they're doing, step by step prior to and/or while they're doing their work. (However you prefer) They want you to be comfortable and will go out of their way to do that. Their "beside manner" is like none I've ever experienced. He's very professional, treats everyone with respect, courtesy, and can accommodate your personal needs. As an added bonus, at least for me, Dr Rauschel is seriously funny. If anyone can genuinely review a dentist, that would me because I've been to countless others, in six states. Prior to Dr Rauschel, I've hated and was petrified to go to the dentist. I always cancelled and rescheduled my appointments. My entire adult life, I have had to take strong anxiety meds just to go to the dentist for anything, even just for a checkup. I would always leave with a horrible tension headache. Since I was referred to Dr Rauschel, I have never once needed anxiety meds and had zero headaches. In fact, I had forgotten about the anxiety, until I started writing this. After my first experience with Dr Rauschel, I told my entire family. Now, everyone goes to Sierra Family Dentistry. I see Dr Rauschel. My husband and eldest son see his wife, Dr. Zaidi. Most of us live in San Tan Valley. But, the 45+ minute drive is so worth the experience of a dentist who truly knows what he's doing and cares about you, as a person. As you know, since you're reading reviews, it's beyond extremely difficult to find a truly great dentist. No joke, your search is over. I promise! I cannot believe I've seen even one, 1 star review. I honestly think that whatever issues they had had nothing to do with Sierra Family Dentistry. There's no way, after how many times I've been there, they could get a one star review unless it was an error on the patient's side.

Fantastic experience: Again, the absolute most thorough dental exam and cleaning I have ever had. Everyone is professional, friendly, and professional. I have 3 cavities, and they are treating them with cutting edge technology in order to try to avoid drilling if possible! You are in good hands with Sierra Family Dentistry! They even recommended the Vantage One Discount Plan in order to save me money!

Fantastic experience: While we have been visiting Sierra Family Dentistry for many years for our family's regular cleanings, this visit was for me, for a crown. As nervous as I was, things could not have gone better. The hygienists were kind and patient, and they made the visit as comfortable as possible. Before I was even given the shot, I was given a numbing gel. I NEVER felt the needle when it was time for the shot. Dr. Rauschel was kind and reassuring during the procedure, and I was able to leave the appointment feeling like it was a success.

Fantastic experience: I have been going to this office for over 10 years and they are amazing. do not like going to Dentist (I am sure I am not the only person that feels this way) and have had really bad experiences in the past, so take alot for me to even show up. Everyone in the office friendly, they are smiling and happy. Dr Rauschel will take the time to talk to you, will make sure not in pain and is very patient with nervous patients like me. I also just had the opportunity to meet his partner, Dr Zaidi, and she is equally amazing. We have moved since first started going there, but it Is worth the drive.

Fantastic experience: Wonderful, caring dentists and staff. Take time, are cheerful. It’s a pleasure to be there. They even have AI technology in their software to look at a dark shadow on my xray which then determined the tooth was still ok. Have been a patient for 8-10 years, ever since recommended by my implant surgeon. At 80, I have been to many dentist offices and this is consistently the best!

Negative experience: Avoid this place like the plague. Firs they will check how much insurance credit you have and, accordingly, will maximize their services. I had to pay in advance from my own pocket and once the insurance payed them they rightfully deducted the patient's responsibility but they moved the number and services in order not to give you any refund. Awful business practice. Try anywhere but here.

Negative experience: Please read the other poor reviews as they are all in alignment. I really liked this office because everyone was so friendly. I gave them my new insurance and called to verify in network, even day I went in made sure everything covered before getting x rays. Came back and said yes I am. So we went ahead with appointment. This is how I have always made sure my insurance has covered a cleaning. I always say of have them check again. I then got a 200+ dollar bill they demand I pay. I spoke to Emily the office manager and she pulled my insurance said I was in network but then insurance just didn’t pay and was out of network (make any of it make sense) and said oh well basically I have to pay it. I then told her this has never in my life happened with any insurance I’ve carried. She said we can lower it to the new patient special which still does not make me happy they could be so lax with insurance coverage in a time like this. They also felt like they were pushing sales on me when I did not want braces yet. I should have taken that first sign as I am now reading reviews and am seeing a trend in the poor reviews. If they had figured out my insurance and didn’t just keep calling me saying I owe 200+ I would have kindly left a better review. I can’t imagine doing this to an elder patient. Luckily I am young and can handle this myself. Please be advised.

I really appreciate that their kindness and support runs from folks at the front desk to hygienists to doctors. Janet my hygienist has made a huge difference with my health and my teeth! Fantastic experience: My experience was great. The dental assistant (Freddy) was very courteous and professional and all of the staff in the office did a very good job of taking care of me.

Negative experience: Well, sadly the day had come where I have to change my review. I brought my mother to z Sierra Dental when she moved here from out of state. They were still in the process of expanding their office and had more staff. There was work she needed to have done, but they kept telling us they hadn’t heard back from the insurance. After several follow up calls of this, I finally called the insurance and found out they had submitted the wrong information for her work and so it had been denied. So she was not able to get the work done before the end of the year. So here we are again. Only this time when I called, I was told that there was no response yet and that was probably because the request for pre-authorization was sent BY MAIL to the insurance company. So now, because she is leaving for several months, she’s not going to be able to have the work done again. I can’t even imagine WHY anything would be sent by regular mail and amazed that it’s even an option. And I don’t understand why u would want to prolong authorization as it’s going to keep people from being able to get their work done in a timely manner. Seems that since the expansion, things aren’t running as well as they used to. And that’s a bummer because I really do like the dentist and original staff. But quality patient care doesn’t seem to be a concern any longer.

Fantastic experience: I was a new patient here and the onboarding process was very smooth. X-rays and all photos were done quickly and they have high tech modern equipment to show you a 3D image of your teeth and problem areas to help you determine the best course of action to fix everything. I felt very comfortable and at ease with the staff as they were friendly and attentive to any discomfort for cleaning and some fillings I needed. I can see myself coming here for a long time for future cleanings and possibly more! Will definitely refer friends that need any services or are looking for a new dentist.

Fantastic experience: Only had one appointment so far but so impressed with the Dr taking the time to listen to our concerns not jumping into a bunch of xray and poking around my mother mouth as she is a very complicated case with serious Injury. Left there feeling good that we were in good hands.

Fantastic experience: Sierra Family Dentistry is an incredible office of great folks that literally bring a smile to my face anytime I’m under their care. My dental hygienist, Amanda Prado, is so nice and makes me feel right at home. She is so good at making me feel calm in the chair while I’m getting a cleaning, which says a lot seeing as I suffer from extreme anxiety. Definitely Amanda is the best hygienist I’ve been too. Dr. Vince Rauschel checked my teeth with care and ease after my cleaning. After everything was said and done they sent me home with a comprehensive breakdown of what my different cavities need to be filled and for how much. For someone dreading going to the dentist, Sierra Family Dentistry made me feel like part of the family and I can’t imagine going anywhere else for my dental needs:)

Positive experience: I opted out of disclosing my personal data on one of their patient forms. They literally then redid it in front of my face, opted in, and submitted it without clearing with me or asking my consent. When I probed about it, they completely ignored me for a week (still haven't heard back). It doesn't matter what you sign or agree to, they are very willing to override it. I don't know how anyone is able to trust these people when they don't care about their customers. EDIT: they've since reached out to me and finally addressed my concerns. Realistically, I know there's not much they can do to 100% prove to me that my files were never confirmed, but I understand that. I do appreciate them taking the time to take my feelings seriously and to understand my frustrations.

Positive experience: Experience was good. Oral hygienist excellent, step by step information on condition of teeth n what needs to be done. Doctor and assistant treated with care. No traumatic experience! Presto! All done! All n all very professional team. Thank you.

Negative experience: I have no complaints with Dentist and my Hygienest, but I am totally disappointed with the person in charge of billing. I am paying more than what I was told all because they failed to check if my insurance will cover it, despite of me asking politely to make sure its covered first before I do the procedure and despite of me telling them I had the procedure from previous dental clinic. The failure of the billing person in charge to do their job penalized me unfairly.

Fantastic experience: Friendly and honest, didn’t try to pressure me in any way to spend money. In fact had an issue with insurance not finding me in their database, they let me go without paying, on the first appointment. Haven’t had anything done yet, so I can’t say anything about expertise, but on the front end of things they are the best I’ve ever dealt with(5 dentistry’s before Sierra).

Fantastic experience: Amanda (dental hygienist) and Freddy (dental assistant) are the best! They are professional, friendly and have great people skills. Dr. Rauschel is very thorough, kind, gentle, and explains procedures well. The general atmosphere is comforting. You can feel the love with the staff, and Dr. Rauschel’s giant laughs are heard throughout the office. I do have one complaint; the front office often does not get the insurance explained to me accurately. I seem to battle about my bills. I think it is because they have a hard time understanding the cryptic insurance policies. I continue to go here because I love the dental staff, and treatment is always top notch, but I do get tired of fighting about the bills.

Negative experience: Was not impressed besides how kind and friendly they’re staff were when I went so at least that part was great. I went in because I was told that my teeth have enamelware and was told eventually I was gonna need crowns. So I selected this dentist letting them know I just want to be able to smile again and fix my teeth so I was open to their advice. All the dentist did was fill the back of my teeth but they didn’t even fill the front or even suggest crowns. One of my teeth I couldn’t even floss between because he over filled it and never used floss to make sure I can floss later. When I left the dentist my teeth literally looked the same with the enamelware that I had in the front still apparent. And one of the fills wasn’t fully filled correctly (told this by new dentist) I don’t understand why this was their treatment plan instead of planning to crown my teeth, he was more concerned with getting me Invisalign (probably has contact with or something) which I never asked for originally. I could care less if my teeth are straight, I just wanted my teeth fixed and not in pain anymore before the holidays and I was still having pain at the front tooth where the enamelware was when I got home. So if you go here, I don’t recommend this dentist though, just make sure you are happy before you leave. Also they keep charging and uncharging me over and over and I have the receipts from my bank account to prove it without even contacting me first or letting me know but I just had chase handle it instead cause that seemed really shady too. We also asked for an Itemized receipt to be sent to my email on the charges and they still never sent it either which also seems very shady. Very weird experience though honestly and super expensive for a cleaning and a couple fills. I went to another dentistry and they are excellent, highly recommend Tempe Family Dental on McClintock, they’re great and will fix you up asap.

Fantastic experience: My first visit there was absolutely amazing! The staff was so helpful, fun, engaging and walked me through every step of the way. The referral process was great, I was told about pricing for every service beforehand, offered financing and was kept aware of each step well in advance. Dr. Rauschel is so funny, the biggest brightest smile and such a gentleman and you can tell he truly cares about his patients oral health. I don't think I could have picked a better dental office.
