Fantastic experience: Kind, thorough, and provided preventative tips to avoid future dental work.

Positive experience: We went to Tempe Smiles for years, and had good experiences. But, the last few years they've had rotating door with dentists. Never felt good with the current dentist. He indicated I had 3 cavities and needed a crown on one of them. I let him do the 2 smaller ones and wasn't happy with the end result. We've since changed dentists and the new one said the 3rd tooth did not have a cavity and didn't need a crown.

Fantastic experience: My first experience has been awesome. I've needed to get back up to date on dental and today was my first appointment for exam's and x-rays. I got checked in by Katrina and waited until I was called back. She was so friendly and welcoming! The xrays and exam went off no issues, and the doctor came in to see me and explain what the next steps were. Very thorough with explaining what everything was, explaining the xrays and exam pictures, as well as what happens next. Katrina checked me out, and then explained when next available openings were to get my teeth deep cleaned and some other work done. Will definitely be going back!

Fantastic experience: While I have only visited the office one time so far I have to say that the experience was one of the best I have ever had at a dentist office. From the front desk staff, to the dental assistant, to the doctor they were all phenomenal. I highly recommend!

Negative experience: The front office staff at this dental office were courteous and professional, which I genuinely appreciated. However, my interaction with the dentist raised concerns regarding boundaries and conduct. His demeanor was unusually familiar for a first appointment, including personal anecdotes, repeated references to his wife, and multiple instances of physical contact such as rubbing my arm. He also addressed me as “girlfriend,” which I found inappropriate and diminishing in a healthcare setting. I value neutrality and professionalism in medical spaces, and his approach made me question whether I was receiving truly impartial treatment. While I recognize that certain interactions can be well-intentioned, the overall dynamic felt more personal than professional. I hope this feedback encourages greater attention to professionalism so all patients can feel fully respected and secure during their visits.

Fantastic experience: I have been going to Tempe Smiles for a few years, the dentist have come and gone but the service has always been cheerful, clean and accurate. Now with Dr. Young I am most happy because he is very proactive and gentle. I recommend anyone to see him.

Fantastic experience: Multiple co workers have recommended coming here. I haven’t been to the dentist in years and unfortunately came down with an infected and impacted wisdom tooth. They got me in quickly to look over my teeth, set up my wisdom tooth removal surgery just as fast and made me feel so welcome. The staff and office manager are so kind and knowledgeable. Dr Young is very kind and has no issue explaining anything you aren’t sure about as well. I tend to put off important doctor appointments due to bad experiences but I am so happy I chose this place. I recommend you come here if you are ever unsure. This staff and their work is phenomenal!

Negative experience: My dentist dr collins western dental mesa said the cleaning they did was no good and I have to redo it. Spent $1200 for nothing. They knocked a filling loose cleaning too. I just wanted a filling and they forced me to do other things first and pay a lot for apparently nothing. I REPEAT, deep cleaning is a SCAM, confirmed by my dentist that not very much was cleaned at all and I wasted a lot of money. Go talk to him about it I gave you his name.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Young and his staff took excellent care of me on short notice. After thoroughly examining me, Dr. Young and his team jumped into action and came up with a course of action that put me at ease and helped relieve the pain I was experiencing from a cracked tooth. Awesome and thorough care from an experienced team.

Fantastic experience: I suffer from really bad anxiety! The sweet lady that took me back and worked with me was soooooooo incredibly amazing! I really wish I got her name but my anxiety clouded my mind. The whole staff was amazing from the time I got there and the time I left. I need some work but I'm glad Tempe Smiles will bring my smile back!!

Fantastic experience: Visit didn't seem rushed, hygienist was informative and her observations were in line with what the doctor found in his examination.The doctor then referred me to my PC physician for a condition possibly causing my teeth grinding. Loved that I was not sold anything or recommended procedures. Actually, the recommendations from my previous Dentists were negated.

Fantastic experience: Lost a crown last week and contacted Tempe Smiles 9/29. Went to office 9/30 for replacement. Receiving dental work I would have to say is the least desirable thing in life I have had to endure. My experience at Tempe Smiles is totally positive. The two people who completed the work did so in a most efficient manner indicating to me that they know what they are doing. I am an old man and have been in many dentist chairs over the years with many unpleasant experiences but I have to say these two highly skilled people completed the work quickly and with very minor discomfort to me. And for that I am thankful. Dentistry is so different and has advanced over the years. Maybe this is what made my experience possible. Not the case, the two who worked on my broken crown know how to do the required work while keeping the patient as comfortable as possible. Thanks

Negative experience: I had a tooth removed and some pieces were left in. When they started coming out I was in a lot of pain and could not swallow anything. I was quoted $700 for a crown on another tooth and they charged me $300 more allegedly for the xrays. Thought I paid everything off and now, months later, i get another bill for $96. Feels like I’m being taking advantage of. Wonder if they are gonna throw anymore fees at me after the fact. Not going back.

Fantastic experience: This was a first time visit and, I had a wonderful experience with both the dental hygienist and the dentist. The dentist hygienist was extremely detailed and professional. She did an excellent job doing the cleaning. I am currently waiting for a treatment plan from the dentist.

Kim is the most amazing human being and makes sure you are taken care of. Katrina may be new to the office but she rocks it ! Angie is the most thorough hygienist ! Dr.Young is the man ! The staff and dentist Joshua Cadwell are awesome. 04/01/2025 I went to have a crown put on a tooth and imagines of my teeth for more invisalign trays to be made. Kelli and Dr Cadwell did an excellent job. They listen to you and do it right. I couldn't be happier with Tempe Smiles. 05/20/25 5 I went to Tempe Smiles to have nubs put back on for more aligners. Kelli and Dr Cadwell did an awesome job. I couldn't be happier with Invisalign and how much they straightened my teeth. They gave me new trays to finish straightening my teeth. Kelli put the first set in to make sure the fit was good. I have a few more months to go. I would like to thank Dr Cadwell and Kelli for the great job they have done. 08/15/25 I would like to thank Dr. Cadwell and staff. I am doing Invisalign and couldn't be happier. Dr Cadwell took off my nubs, and did some reshaping. Pictures were taken for my last set of aligners. I will have them in a few weeks. Invisalign is one of the best things I have done to straighten my teeth. The difference between before and after is amazing. Thank you Tempe Smiles, Dr. Cadwell, and Invisalign for straightening my teeth.

Fantastic experience: I have been going to Tempe Smiles for about three months now and I have had quite a bit of dental work done. The front desk people were very welcoming, kind, and professional. They gave me a full write up of what the insurance pays and what my portion will be. I love my dentist Dr. Young And all of his assistants. They are all so very kind and helpful. At this point, I will look no further for a dentist. Very satisfied.

Positive experience: I would first like to say that I absolutely love this practice! I have had quite a few procedures, and all have gone fantastically well. The reason for not giving 5 stars is because I recently had an experience with the person that I believe is the front office manager.I had left messages to discuss a bill because I didn't understand it, and I received text messages in response with invoices, but still no explanation. I responded by saying that I would like to discuss this but I but I did not receive a call back.So I went in, and the woman that I dealt with was dismissive and rude. At one point I even said to her I know I'm making you angry but I just need to understand this, and I don't think that that is out of line. She eventually gave me an explanation and I left with a full understanding of the bill. In reading reviews I saw a review posted 6 months ago by a Marian Hassan who also had a similar experience. In fact, her description of her experience absolutely mirrored mine. The last thing I would like to say is nobody answers the phone if you want to make an appointment. You have to leave a message and hopefully someone will call back. My experience thus far has been no call back. It's frustrating, because I have been so pleased with Tempe Smiles with the exception of the two situations I described.

Fantastic experience: Very impressed! Went to another dentist who’s automatic response was a procedure that would’ve been incredibly invasive. I really got the impression that the reason why the other doctor suggested the invasive procedure is that it would be easier for her to do. Fantastic experience: Tempe Smiles Family Dental Care is friendly, professional and the best place for dental care for your entire family. The hygienist gave me a thorough cleaning without any pain and Dr. Young did my dental exam afterward. If you have dental insurance, use it here but if you have NO dental insurance, you can choose to use their Family Plan which is what we do. For a nominal annual fee, your dental cleanings, x-rays and exam will only cost $69 and any other procedures you may need will be deeply discounted. I highly recommend Tempe Smiles!

Fantastic experience: Dr Cadwell spent a great deal of time going over my X-rays and listening to my concerns regarding my extensive dental needs.

Negative experience: I have been a loyal patient at Tempe Smiles Family Dental for over 10 years, but my recent experience has left me deeply frustrated and disappointed. During a routine cleaning, my bottom retainer was broken, and while the office initially repaired it three times without issue, they refused to fix it on my most recent visit. I expressed that this was a dental emergency, as I was unable to eat, but my concerns were dismissed. If I offered to pay for the repair they would have agree to fix it. To make matters worse, they used the excuse that the dentist who did my last repair wasn’t in, even though the first two repairs were done by an assistant. The situation escalated when I interacted with a "new hire" who claimed to be the manager. Her behavior was both unprofessional and disrespectful. When I asked her to clarify something on the paperwork she provided, she ripped it from my hands and slammed it on the counter, leaving me shocked. When I expressed my frustration over how I was treated, her response was a half-hearted, dismissive "I'm sorry" with no genuine empathy, followed by laughter as I left the office. Yes, you read that correctly—she actually laughed. And I have the entire interaction recorded because I could sense something was off. The way she was speaking to me, so dismissively and rudely, compared to how she was treating the other clients, made it clear something wasn’t right. As a patient who has trusted this office for over a decade, I never imagined I would be treated this way. The level of disrespect and unprofessionalism I encountered is completely unacceptable. I’m not just looking for an apology; I want to make sure this doesn’t happen to anyone else. I would appreciate guidance on how to formally file a complaint or report this incident to someone who can take appropriate action. This kind of behavior should not be tolerated in any professional setting.

The people are kind, professional and funny. The office is clean and my wait time was minimal. So happy they’re now my office !

Fantastic experience: I had a terrible toothache and they took me in as soon as possible. They performed a root canal and crown utilizing state-of-the-art equipment and top of the line care. Negative experience: Really dissatisfied. I went to Tempe Smiles for the first time in 18 months to have a crown re-cemented. I made two follow-up appointments for me and my wife to get cleanings. The appointments were written by the receptionist on reminder cards. My wife showed up at 2pm, the time written on the card, and was told her appointment wasn't until 4pm. Even when she showed them the card she was told she would have to wait. When I called to confirm my appointment they told me I didn't have one. It wasn't in their system. The receptionists are clearly lost, the dentist and most of the staff I used to see are gone. This place went downhill...

Positive experience: There was a lot of waiting. Front desk was disorganized. They let me leave without my prescriptions, called me to come back for them, then both my first and last names were spelled wrong on the scripts. More waiting to get those corrected and re signed. Everyone was friendly though.

Fantastic experience: If you're looking for a dental home, you just found it! For so many, going to the dentist is nerve wrecking experience. However I must admit that the staff here has helped me to overcome that fear. My root canal and other procedures have been virtually painless! The staff love what they do and have a heart for people. They'll help you get back your smile and keep it shinning for years to come

Fantastic experience: The hygienist that helped me today was extremely kind, patient, thorough and informative. She was also efficient and made great suggestions for continued care without being bossy or appearing to "know it all". I've had concerns for some time receding Gomez and she provided me with good information in tips that that I will surely put to good use.

Positive experience: The people are very nice there but the price for me was extremely high. Didn’t want to finance that much, you would finance a new car for the work to be done. Kind of pressing you to take their materials afterwards. I explained too many times that I did not need or want the materials because the price is too high and it would end up in the trash as soon as I got out the door., If you have the money to get a full set of implants 4 on 1 permanent placements, these people seem nice enough. Since I do not, I will have to go out of the country for this option, down south. Thanks for the offer, but no can do.

Fantastic experience: Everything about this office is fantastic! All of the staff are friendly and professional, the office is comfortable and welcoming. From fresh cut flowers, tasteful decor, great music, to having blankets available if you get cold during a procedure... They go above and beyond to make it a pleasant experience. Clean, up to date technology and tools, easy to schedule appointments with optional text reminders, extremely patient staff and dentists and I have never questioned the recommended treatments for my children or myself. They didn't pressure me to do the work I needed right away and were understanding of my need to wait till insurance coverage kicked in. I would highly recommend them for the entire family. My kids also love coming here even though the office doesn't have the frills of a children's dental office. Thank you Tempe Smiles!

Fantastic experience: I've always had great care at Tempe Smiles Family Dental. Dina and Sarah in Reception are very friendly and helpful. Vivian and Vanessa are fantastic hygienists, and Dr Sanchez is an excellent dentist who cares about and listens and respects the concerns of his patients.

Negative experience: I have been cheated out of 50 $ because they have a non refundable policy for no shows. This was never communicated to me and this was connd out of my account by this dental practice. Don't go there it's a ripoff

Fantastic experience: Appointment started on time, the substitute hygienist was very nice. I liked that she did the manual clreanign of the buildup instead of the water jet. Teeth felt great afterwards. Dentist came in and really did do much but that's fine; there was really nothing to do. I was out of there in less than an hour which I appreciate!

Fantastic experience: I've never had an office work so hard on my behalf to make sure my insurance covered my fillings after a mix-up with my coverage. Jessica took it upon herself to completely handle the insurance company. I've never had someone work so hard to make sure I didn't have to go back and forth with my insurance. Positive experience: I haven’t been able to get in touch with Dr. Caldwell, I’ve left messages with the receptionist at two locations and yet he is unavailable. I paid a lot of money to get my teeth fixed and I would think he call me back but he hasn’t. This has been going on since before Thanksgiving. I did get a 3D X-ray done and I was in and out. Friendly and professional staff at this location.

Negative experience: My initial experiences with this office were fine. My insurance company referred me to this office to replace a broken crown. The crown replacement itself went great. Over two years later this office is trying to bill me for a covered service for this crown. The insurance company has been waiting for a picture of the in situ broken crown for about 2 years to pay this claim. Their billing department told me they refuse to fax a copy of the photo because it would not go through clearly. I made multiple requests for my records so I could print a full color copy to mail in myself. I received my records without the photo and then the office stopped responding to my requests for the photo. Over a month ago I spoke with someone new in billing who said I never should have received bills for this due to this being their billing error. I was told I would receive a bill showing a zero balance. A few days later I received another bill with added late fees. I am completely fed up with this and will be filing a claim with the better business bureau. In addition to these billing issues I was told over a year ago that I had a cavity. The cavity was filled and the tooth has hurt to bite on ever since. I have been back to this office to have the filling adjusted but it did not help. I will be finding a new dentist to deal with the current pain issue since this office cannot be trusted to bill for services correctly.

Fantastic experience: Great experience with the entire office from the beginning contact with Dina. Then the care received from Lilly and Dr. Sanchez was exceptional. I went in for a consultation on a broken tooth. After X-rays Dr. Sanchez didn't waste time and got me taken care of at the same appointment to remove the tooth . Dr. Sanchez cared enough to follow-up up to check in on my recovery. Very professional and would recommend. ⭐

Positive experience: Lovely experience. All the staff members are amazingly kind and soothing for those of us who get nervous about dental appointments. The doctor really took the time to talk to me about everything and answered all my questions. My only complaint would be the cleaning felt a little rough. I have healthy teeth and gums, but by the end of the cleaning I could taste blood.

Fantastic experience: Tempe Smiles has a very friendly and professional staff. I was there for a cleaning after a lapse of 2 years and my hygienist Casey was very gentle with my sore receding gums, which I appreciated. My dentist, Dr. Sanchez was very kind and knowledgeable. I was also very impressed that he fit my 2 fillings into his busy day. Most dental practices will make you reschedule another appointment, not allow you to get everything done on the same day as a cleaning. My thanks to everyone at Tempe Smiles.

Negative experience: Very rude front office staff over the phone. They give you an attitude, don't retain any info thus asking me to repeat myself, say they can't do what I ask but then backs up says let me transfer you to someone who can. Why say you can't then? Or figure out the issue upfront so I can be sent to the appropriate person right away rather than this long, unnecessary encounter. FYI this is a follow-up call after they didn't do what they said they would.

Fantastic experience: Very open and roomy office with an up-to-date modern layout and feel. The desk staff, Doctors, and Assistants are all so pleasant and professional! I feel like a member of the 'Tempe Smiles Family Dental'! Thank you! Highly recommend this establishment.

Fantastic experience: I started out at the San tan valley office. I had a really sore tooth that was causing so much pain! They got me in right away. However the stv dentist said I needed a root canal and antibiotics. So I was sent to Tempe office to be able to get the procedure done same day. The Tempe dentist dr Sanchez looked at my tooth, x-rays from stv office that were taken earlier that day and took more of his own. After more tests and questions dr Sanchez determined I DIDNT NEED A ROOT CANAL! My tooth was just cracked! I ended up with a filling and no root canal! Thank God Dr Sanchez decided to double check again to be sure of what was actually need instead of just going for it!he saved me from undue pain and expense!!!!
