Positive experience: Very thorough cleaning. The staff was very receptive to my unique situation and fears caused by non-reputatable dentists and staff at other dentists offices. I'm scheduled for fillings in March. I need two crowns but am choosing to do 1 first to see if they replace it with the same quality as the original crown placement ( years ago). I'm am looking for longevity in my dental work . Update, I lost my insurance and the hygienist wanted $200 for a cleaning they don't want to retain clients that are struggling at this time.

Fantastic experience: Receptionist Jamaria was patient kind and friendly. Dental tech Stephanie was warm and friendly and caring and dentist Dr Yang was super kind warm and explained what need to happen with patience and concern. Absolutely an outstanding team!!

Fantastic experience: Came in today as a new patient with severe tooth pain. I was able to schedule an appointment the same day, and was brought in quickly when I arrived. Tatiana and Dr Alsomairi were polite and efficient in my assessment, and gave me plenty of recommendations on where to go next. Will definitely be coming back here!

Positive experience: The Head D.A. Stephanie. Got me to come back. I hate the dentist. Shes as skilled as talented as many lifelong dentists. That ive had less fortunate experiences. I need alot more crowns. Caring and considerate. Great staff. Great technology. Thorough and professional. Great all around

Negative experience: Would absolutely not recommend. Two of my children required braces. Dr. Kizy was practing at Sterling Dental. I receive orthodontist treatment from him. Or at least it appears that way on paper. Dr. Kizy never performed any orthodontist work on my children. His assistant Maria did all the work. Periodically he’d check his head in to see how the kids teeth were coming along but that’s all! My daughter had a bicycle injury and because of this closing her gap was rather difficult. This always came up as Maria would say gum surgery would be needed they would take care of it etc. She gets her braces removed and despite wearing her retainers regularly her gap resurfaced. I continually reached out about the issue. Next thing I know he no longer practices there and there’s no orthodontist. 10k later. I’ve called his office multiple times and corporate as well to try to meet a resolve. He’s never returned a phone call, yet offered any money back for corrective actions. The corporate office had me go get an assessment at another dental office. Once they told them my daughter would have to go back into braces they started making up excuses after excuse. If this isn’t enough to run for the hills I don’t know what will. But he doesn’t perform the services, doesn’t stand behind the people he is enlisting to perform your services and isn’t equitable.

Negative experience: This was 5 star but mot anymore. New Dr and office staff were horrible. Dont come here!!!!! My previous review: Dr Linda, Stacey, Sandra and the office staff are amazing. No pain, caring and worth every penny. I am a new pte since June 2020 and had major work done with some more to go. Absolutely the best dentist experience I have ever had. And no they haven't paid me to post..but I have paid them thousands for treatment with more to go. Wonderful people that do excellent work.

Fantastic experience: I'm going to give a 5 star just off the first visit. I have disabilities that don't show until I talk they are very kind and interested in fixing my smile . I had wrong direction, almost late. Paid for cancer screening and fluoride treatment but was able to get the fluoride because I was told i NEED DEEP CLEANING AND A NEW APPOINTMENT TO LET MY INSURANCE GO THROUGH BEFORE I GET THE WORK DONE . SO ON MY BIRTHDAY WAS THE ONLY DAY SCHEDULED. I WALKED AWAY WITH NO CLEANING YET . but she said she will clean them then.

Negative experience: Absolutely unacceptable experience at Sterling Dental. We had a scheduled appointment and showed up on time only to find out they had moved our appointment up an hour without telling us. No call, no text, no email. Nothing. Then, instead of owning their mistake or trying to make it right, they sat us in the room and left us waiting for over an hour to be seen. This is not just poor communication, it's complete disrespect for our time. If they can't manage a simple schedule or notify patients of changes, how can anyone trust them with actual dental care? I won't be recommending this place to anyone. Patients deserve better.

Negative experience: I switched my teens here since my daughters first cleaning here their teeth has been bothering them they state the hygienist is rough hurts their gums and rushes . I scheduled a second visit , they both came out crying . One stated her gums were bleeding ,she poked her face with an instrument that left a mark and her teeth hurt . My daughters have never had a bad experience at a dental appt . After the cleaning they then waited 35 min for dentist to come in the room. We will be finding a new practice after this experience.

Negative experience: I am extremely satisfied with my second visit to this office, and the doctor is amazing. However, I had a negative experience with the receptionist. The reason I say this is that my wife didn’t understand what the previous receptionist had told her, so I went to confirm the details of her pre-authorization. Unfortunately, the receptionist acted unprofessionally and refused to check the details of her next appointment.

Negative experience: I am not happy with the new practice! I’ve been coming here for years and dr. Kizy is no longer practicing here. I’m a very open minded person but the new staff rubbed me the wrong way. Even when I walked in, the environment just felt different..My normal dental hygienist, Christina, left maybe a year ago and they were kind enough to make me aware of that. The new dental hygienist that I have is very personable, educated, and she made me feel comfortable(the only reason this review has two stars). Mind you, I had brought my two year old and was nervous she would be a handful to deal with and she made things easier for my daughter and I. This is the second time I’ve been with her, great rapport. Now this is the first time I’ve been here with the new doctor and new front desk. After my cleaning I waited about ten minutes for the doctor to come in to check me out. He comes in, says hi to me, doesn’t really acknowledge my daughter, then asked “is there anything I can do for you?” I didn’t know how to answer, because it was such a weird open ended question. Like, you’re here to check my teeth right? Then he turns around, looks at the ex rays I had last visit and asks the nurse if I was a new client right in front of me. Then just looks at my teeth with the mirror, asks me to bite down to see my bite and says “okay looks good see you next visit”. He just seemed very rushed with me. I asked the nurse if he was gonna check for cavities or anything and she just shrugged her shoulders and said he was new, but she looked like she was slightly embarrassed. So I’m like alright, walk to the front desk while the lady pays me out and after I pay out and am handing her back the card reader she is indulged in her phone and blatantly ignored me. So I stood there for about 20 seconds until she grabbed the card reader back, and told me I was all set. It was a weird experience, and I hope they read this and take it seriously because I felt like the doctor didn’t care about me, the front desk didn’t care, they’re just there to get paid and don’t actually care about helping you. And I have 8 people who were going to this dentist because of me and so many times I’ve recommended this place. So I’ll be going else where and taking all my people with me. ****also not to mention that months ago when I had scheduled an appointment for a cleaning my husband scheduled an appointment, too because one of his teeth were bothering him, just for him to get up there on the day of and them saying that they never scheduled any appointment even though it was the next day after mine. Unorganized

Positive experience: I gave it a four star for now My first time there they make me feel very comfortable The staff and the doctor took their time to explain everything to me and how procedures would work. I am scared to death of a dentist due to prior experiences. Today I was reassured and I was kind of impressed so yes I'll give it a four star for now and when I return for any procedures I'll revisit the rating system and I'm pretty sure it'll be a five star at that time.

Negative experience: I made a huge mistake by going to Sterling dental for an urgent tooth pain. They could not do a tooth extraction nor a root canal. Instead, they referred me to another dentist that could not get me in for weeks. I am not stuck looking for another dental office that is capable of doing it, while I am still in a lot of pain and discomfort. Very disappointed with Sterling dental!

Fantastic experience: Jeremy Maholmes here. The office is very peaceful and the front desk is always helpful when it comes to the conclusions of preparing for your teeth. Miss Bianca is talented of her professional skills along side giving help and hand to Dr Maynard, making sure you are not swallowing harmful pieces of the maintenance not to swallow while the doctor is working on the series of events that has with your teeth. I have had a horrible job from another facility, meanwhile doctor Maynard took charge making my cavity was filled and redefined and smooth as if you do not have one because of its smooth and accurate replacement by removing the old one that fell apart. I'm grateful to know such a dental office.

Fantastic experience: Excellent Dentists as well as 5 Star customer service. Appointment on time which is outstanding due to crazy schedules, my grandson at 14 has no cavities. Have never had to wait always taken back within minutes..

Fantastic experience: As of today, I give Sterling dental five stars although my first appointment is not until the 27th of this month. I look highly anticipated for it to come so far Australian dental has been amazing over the phone setting up my new patient information and my appointment super polite, courteous, kind, caring listened no problems whatsoever easy fast And I waited too long to do this. I didn’t know it was gonna be this easy and quick to set up a new patient form and an appointment but it sure was and as of now five stars I look forward to seeing them in person on the 27th of this month and my first visit which I’m very nervous for and we will go from there! :)

Negative experience: Great people seemed really nice i had a crown replaced thought they did a good job but the next appointment i had at my primary dentist they said the crown was done poorly. The crown overhangs on the bottom causing a trap basically and would have to be redone or further decay would happen. It costed about 2500 and not even a year later i had to get it redone. Really nice people but not very experienced dentists or lab not sure who to blame.

Fantastic experience: I love Comming here the staff is really sweet and the team is really gentle on my sensitive teeth. I love having my teeth cleaned by Christina. She is really gentle and caring like every one there. I would recommend her and the place 10 stars. Always my dentist.

Fantastic experience: I had not went to the dentist for several years. First I had an emergency situation in which I would give my treatment and Dentist 5 stars, then I needed a Deep Cleaning which involves 2 separate visits with Shahad the Hygenist. I was really late for my first appointment and Shahad still fit me in and had no attitude at all this was awesome to me and on my second appointment I was treated even better. Shahad and my Denist both receive 5 stars for my treatment... Everyone on the staff at Sterling Dental was very pleasant and outgoing to me, and seem to care about my situation. I also give Sterling Dental in general 5 stars. I have recommended Sterling Dental to several friends and family members. I also would point out that I have only written 2 reviews in my life and they both were well deserved....

Negative experience: The staff was very friendly over the phone and in person. It’s unfortunate my insurance wasn’t accepted because it was a PPO plan, and I actually didn’t mind at all. But I just now realized I filled out the New Patient form they requested to be completed after I scheduled my appointment online, and realized I just gave them all of my personal information. ALL OF IT……..now i’m freaking out and feeling a little sketched out about this place. There needs to be a disclaimer on the website that has the New Patient form or where you can schedule an appointment that states PPO insurance is not accepted. Therefore, people aren’t giving out their personal personal information.

Fantastic experience: The best dentists I've been to in years they make sure you feel comfortable, safe and explain everything to you. Very friendly and understanding of schedules and work around them. They also take medicaid which is another plus lovely place

Negative experience: This practice has changed from the original owners. Dr Kizzy and family are no longer the owners.. therefore you are treated like trash.. money hungry practice .. not the cleanest place .. if u value a clean environment .. go some where else

From the moment I walked in, she made me feel comfortable and at ease. Shahad was incredibly professional and thorough, taking the time to explain each step of the cleaning process and addressing all of my concerns with patience and clarity. What stood out the most was her gentle and meticulous approach. She also provided excellent tips on maintaining good oral hygiene at home, which I really appreciated. Overall , Shahad provided exceptional care and genuinely showed concern for my dental health. If you’re looking for a skilled and compassionate dental hygienist, I highly recommend scheduling an appointment with her.

Fantastic experience: I highly recommend Sterling Dental to anyone and everyone that asks. As a person with an aversion to dental work, I was extremely pleased when I found this office. It is by far the best dental experience I have had. My previous experiences have been in large chain dental offices where I never knew who would take care of me. I now have a dentist that I know and trust. Sterling Dental's outstanding staff is very professional and compassionate. Office hours include evenings and Saturdays which works for my schedule. They are very up to date in today's digital world in both dental and customer services. Fantastic experience: Office is very accommodating, was able to take me as a next day appointment. They do very thorough exams, use latest Technology for treatment and XRays. They explain the issues, provide options, and answer all your questions. Pricing was fair as well. Front desk and the finance lady was nice. (Sorry I forgot names) Dr. Yang was awesome. Crown adjustment and cavity/filling was done pain free and timely. Highly Recommend!!!

Negative experience: Hygienist was very rough. I’ve never had a rougher cleaning and I had a lot of pain during this visit. It was also very rushed and the dental assistant was complaining about the front desk worker which was very unprofessional in my opinion.

Fantastic experience: I have been taken very good care of over the last 10 or so years by Sterling Dental. Thorough and gentle, using some modern equipment. Very capable staff.

Negative experience: Run as fast as possible from this place. My family started going to Sterling Dental when my 16-yr-old was only three. Two of my boys started their braces here, and I have paid off the deductible/ co-pay a long time ago. I was recently told by the manager, Christina that I needed to get them a new orthodontist as Sterling Dental no longer accepts pts with ortho, and to bring the receipts back for reimbursement. Three weeks ago, I went back with the receipts, and Christina said she already got an approval for the reimbursement and told me to expect the check in the mail within three weeks. Today, I called back to check the status of the check, but to my surprise , Christina lied that she never told me to expect the check. She, in fact, was encouraging me to get the new insurance that only started in January of this year to pay for what has already been paid for in full before the new insurance kicked in. I will never commit insurance fraud , and I will make sure Sterling Dental doesn’t get away with this kind of behavior. This place does not ensure that all patients are treated with high standard of care. In fact, the exact opposite of what they preach is the new norm. For two consecutive months, I was calling repeatedly as my boys had not been seen, and I was very concerned. So, I decided to walk in to see if anyone could provide an explanation as to why nobody was answering my call, Christina told me I was not suppose to just walk in without an appointment. No, I needed an answer, and unfortunately, they were just hiding the truth, especially from patients/family members who have paid fully, as they didn't want to have to pay back. Being deceptive to patients or the families is unethical and unacceptable, and I will not be silenced until Sterling dental reimburses the exactly amount that I spent to complete my children Ortho treatment. Sterling Dental only has until May 31, 2024 to pay back. I will get all payments records ready. Sterling Dental better be prepared to not only pay back the remaining cost of the treatment but all the legal fees if they fail to pay back by may 31.

Fantastic experience: love the staff but most importantly I love Maria she’s great she made my teeth perfect. If I had a choice i would’ve worn my braces forever if she could still be my orthodontist

Fantastic experience: I've been coming to sterling dental since I was 6 year old maybe. I started going to the one on E Warren and worked my way to the office located in Sterling Heights. When I came in today for my appointment I was informed some of the staff is no longer with them and had to get my appointment rescheduled until the end of the month. The only reason I'm not upset about this is because Lizzy the front desk receptionist , was so welcoming and helpful. She said she's only been there for 6 days but she was a breath of fresh air to talk to & a great help !

Fantastic experience: I was very upset that the Kizy family was no longer a part of the practice (that was exclusively their's for the last 20 years) and we were never given notice. My daughter needs to finish with her orthodontics and now they don't offer it so she has to finish elsewhere. We only go there because we loved the dentists! That being said..... the new office staff and dentist were very friendly and thorough. I was pleasantly surprised. Am I happy as to how I found out, "no" definitely not, but everything worked out and I learned that Dr. Yang is very kind and very good at her job.

Positive experience: Linda Kizy is my dentist and I like her very well. I take pretty good care of my teeth and have done so for many years as I'm 75 years old. Not much going on with my teeth so I don't need to see Linda much. The main reason go to Sterling Dental is because of the hygenist, Christina. I've had a lot of experience with getting my teeth cleaned over the years and she provides the best experience I have ever had with what is normally a bit of an unpleasant, but necessary ordeal. Her style is aggressive and her personality is sterling (no pun intended). My cleaning gets done in record time with excellent results. Someone once told me that since you can't see your own smile it's a gift you give to others and Christina certainly does that while at the same time she takes care of improving my own smile. It takes me about a half hour drive to get to Sterling Dental and if it wasn't for Christina I would look for something more convenient. She gets a five star, but I give Sterling on a whole only a 4 star in this review because the people at the front desk are a little slim on grin and disorganized. First I was going to be billed $69, then opp's, it seems they overcharged me the last two visits and they actually owe me $7. Here sign this form, now get up and sign yet another form and, oh you didn't date it. They had me sitting down and getting up 3 or 4 times. Nary a smile to be had through the whole check in process. Even though I've been going there for years and they sure don't make an effort to make me feel like an appreciated patient, whereas Christina does.

Fantastic experience: Knowing how particular my family members are about medial and dental services I have to say that we stopped searching for a dental office because we have found the best services one can hope for at Sterling Dental. The Office has the absolute nicest and the most professional staff. You are always greeted and treated as if you are family. All staff, esp. the Dentists,l which are comprised of 3 siblings, are professional yet humble and make their patients feel at east. I especially Have always dreaded needles, and often avoided going to the dentists for this reason. That is a huge plus for my family and I now, as sterling Dental stuff are wonderful in their pain-free treatment . Fantastic experience: I took my sister there last week ,she had broken her tooth and they took her in that day. She had dementia and kept repeating herself, but they were kind and very sweet with her. She had no pain with any of it. From numbing it to pulling it. Then we had to go back in because she got dry socket. Again they did amazing with her . Very compassionate..wonderful work. Thank you all .

Fantastic experience: I love this dentist. I hate going to the dentist. My anxiety is through the roof when I have to go, but this place makes it easy for me. I've put about 7000 into my mouth over the last 2 yrs. Had a tooth pulled, several filings and a crown placed. They were fantastic every visit. Always checking to make sure I was not in any pain. Never felt the needle go in not even a pinch. They say by patiently waiting for me to open my mouth sometimes waiting several minutes. I do pay a little more than I would somewhere else but those places would not treat me like Dr Kizy and Stacy so here.

Fantastic experience: I was looking for a new dentist to finish my implants after my previous dentist passed away suddenly. I found Sterling Dental by chance. They are fantastic. Very competent and friendly. Dr Linda and Stacy were the ones who I interacted with the most. What a wonderful couple of ladies.

Fantastic experience: They were such a great help. I came in experiencing lots of pain from a decayed tooth and it was a horrible feeling, so they then helped me numb the pain because they seen how much pain I was in, within 15 minutes I was feeling better. They went over a treatment plan with me and even gave other suggestions if I was unable to pay the full amount. It was a very friendly staff and sweet as well. Would definitely go back.

Fantastic experience: As a new patient, I was impressed the way front desk handled everything and able to answer any questions that I had Dr. Linda explained everything to where I could understand my health concerns and actually told me what was going on with my teeth, her tech was also very wonderful I really felt like family ,They were very compassionate upon check out. Everybody at the front desk was also very caring and compassionate. I definitely will return and recommend to my family.

I was provided with all the information that I needed without even asking. The wait time to be seen was very fast, went straight to the back, no over booking. Love it!!

Fantastic experience: Scenario- I split a tooth in half eating a snack at noon on a Monday. I call my regular dentist and she is out of town. Tuesday AM I search the internet for help. I find one dentist that is willing to help but after 15 minutes of questions they inform me that it is all cash on the barrel head and I can go to my dental plan later to get my money back. Glitzy salesman. No thank You. But then, I came across Sterling Dental. None of that Razmatazz slick sales hype just a quick few questions and boom I was scheduled for two hours later. Emergency appointment due to the pain. They have two offices that talk to each other so they can get you in quickly. Anyhow, baddabom baddabing.... I am in the chair with the doctor himself. I was numbed up and an Emergency Root Canal was under way. He did a great job! No pain. Listen to me. He is like the pain whisperer this guy. I'm no sissy but being hurt isn't something I seek out either. Great attention to pain management. The Hygienist was helping with me also and what a great person. They all were. While I was waiting for the numbing to take affect, they gave me free scratchoff lotto tickets to work on and boy did the time go by quick.......just kidding. No scratchoffs but time did go by quick. Thank You all for the urgently needed help and outstanding professionalism. On a scale of 1 to 10.......they get 11.

Fantastic experience: Every time I visit Sterling Dental on 14 mile in Sterling Heights, the staff is always pleasant. I never have to worry about feeling safe from COVID as the facilities are very clean. They are very honest about my dental health. I take very good care of my teeth so they never talk me into getting anything I don't need. I recommend this dentist if you want professionals taking care of you.
