Aland Family Dentistry

Negative experience: I was 6 minutes late and they said I had to reschedule due to a new 5 minute late policy (which was never communicated). Have been coming about 5 years and normally wait 10-15 minutes to be seen. They are flooded with people moving to Reno and don’t care about losing some patients. I don’t disagree from a profitability standpoint, but from a human perspective 5 min policy without a warning is inconsiderate. Also, Dr Aland is rare to visit during cleaning, just shows for procedures.

Fantastic experience: Such great customer service - they went above and beyond to get me a night guard and refer me to a new dentist since I moved 40 minutes away. Also, they have a cool 3D scan now that let me see all of my teeth which was really neat and impactful. They really made for a great appointment!

Negative experience: Extremely rude and unprofessional customer service made an appointment and was unable to find the place. called to let them know and when I got there about five minutes after my appointment, they said I was too late and they would see what they can do. After hadalrwady left, they call and acted as if I never even came in the office.

Fantastic experience: Great visit, as usual, at Aland Family Dentistry. Lyndsay was so helpful and informative as was Dr. Stewart. Working with them, I know my dental health is well managed.

Fantastic experience: I had the most pleasant experience with Dr. Aland and his entire team from the front desk ladies to the ladies in the back! Did a whole series of x-rays, then a really cool scan , even the dental hygienist came in to look at my teeth to evaluate future cleanings. Then the Dr came in and such a great breath of fresh air compared my my old dentist! Very professional and amazing staff. I called to make an appt they got me in the next next say for evaluated for a procedure and already going back tomorrow to get that done! Loved the experience and very happy that i established with them! :) Great Team and I really look for that!

Fantastic experience: Dec. 29 2025 - End of the year and came in for my semi annual cleaning. Walk in greated with a friendly smile and a "hello are you here for an appointment?" Office is clean warm and welcoming. Shortly I'm called back to start my exam, they introduce themselves and ask how things are going. As they go through your file, you feel relaxed as they are calming and letting you know exactly what is your there for, your options available, and as they start your cleaning will conversate with you to keep you relaxed (be honest, when someones in your mouth it can give some anxiety.) They are very Professional in the work they do, they give great care to do the best for the patient in the chair so when you leave you can leave with a healthy mouth and teeth. Each of the staff and Doctors I can't say enough about, they do incredible work and care about their patients. I highly recommend Aland Family Dentistry!

Fantastic experience: The dental Hygienist Lindsay Was courteous and very professional, and did a great job of dental cleaning

Negative experience: Billing here is awful. The office staff is constantly unsure of what is or is not owed. There is constant back and forth blame to the “billing department” which is not in the same office. When you reach out to the “billing office” they do not return calls which prompts text messages to you that you have a bill due. Staff agrees it is a big problem since the practice joined a larger group of dentists but nothing ever changes and there is never accountability by anyone.

Fantastic experience: Did I seriously just have a pleasant root canal? I didn't know that was even possible. Anyways, every aspect of this practice is professional and smooth. This is the best dentist I have ever been to by far. If you are looking for a dentist, go for this place. You won't be dissapointed.

Negative experience: Came in for a chipped tooth and refill an old filling that fell out. After thousands of dollars. My teeth have never been worse. After doing a filing, my bite was way off came back four times to try to fix it. Dr Aland couldn't have cared less. Rushed me out every time, and told me I'd get used to it. Never had any real tooth pain in my life before this. Major numbness. Headaches. Constant throbbing pain for months now. My bite was perfect before he touched my mouth! Immediately after, I knew something was really wrong. I tried to tell him, and he told me that my teeth had changed over time. Yep, they did change over time... the hour I was in the chair! Horrible experience. My mouth is permanently changed. Dr. Aland filed down nine teeth, before I finally left the last time. All the ladies in the office were very kind and tried reaching out to apologize for what had happened to me. Dr aland walked away from me while I was speaking after telling me, my teeth were fine. Even though I couldn't close my mouth. I'm telling you. This dentist really messed up my mouth. And blamed me.

Fantastic experience: I was referred by a friend to see Dr. Stewart. I was going to another Dentist, more corporate style place. They get you in, get you out kind as fast as possible. I went there and got my filling replaced three times. All types of issues with each time when it was replace. I told Dr. Steward and his staff my issues. They understand and took their time. It's the best natural filling I have ever got. Enjoyed my time, which I have normally have more anxiety while at the Dentist visits, but I felt very relaxed and taken care of. Thank you.

Fantastic experience: I regret to report I haven’t been to the dentist in years, fortunately, I was able to secure a timely affordable appointment. I feel so well taken care of and considered from the moment I walked in. Ali was very kind taking my X-rays, the process can be uncomfortable but I was made to feel right at home and was able to take my time. Sometimes the dentist can feel very rushed and burdensome, especially if you haven’t been to the dentist in a while, not the case here! 5 out of 5 stars.

Fantastic experience: Had a consultation with a different local dentist office, Aland family dentistry got me in sooner due to the amount of pain I was in. It’s was five days sooner and nearly half the cost. Dr Stewart made quick work of the extraction, in and out within an hour, quick and painless.

Fantastic experience: My cleaning started at my scheduled appointment time. Staff is always prompt and courteous. Laura took the time to explain different options relating to my dental care. Dr. Stewart also took the time to explain the steps involved in a procedure I’m going to have performed in a few months. Highly recommend this dental office.

Negative experience: I have to amend this review. I left this practice after being told the law requires a set of x-rays every year after receiving a pano that was available to them. The hygienist informed me that if I did not submit to the x-rays, my cleaning appointment would be canceled. No one should be strong armed into unnecessary x-rays.

Fantastic experience: Had the unfortunate need to get a deep cleaning done, which required numbing and laser work to prevent further bone deterioration. Hygienist Caitlyn was amazing. Very kind, gentle, knowledgeable, & soothing. I never need dental work, so was very nervous about this visit. Caitlyn was awesome, making the best of a less than desirable visit.

Last week I went in for a crown and when I came home, I laid down until the numbness wore off. When I got up, it didn't feel like I had been to the dentist at all!! No pain, nothing!!! Negative experience: It is unfortunate that I will not be going to this dentist any longer. I actually liked them but I will not pay out of pocket when I have two insurances which is what they they want you to do. if you are rich and can pay Aland out of pocket to keep your teeth healthy as I need go every four months then these are your people. They can do dental work all day long but are not good at the follow up with the insurance companies which is a part of the dental offices job, this is why they hire insurance gals in the office but they do not follow up. This is a requirement of mine, have a good staff that will assist your customers with their insurance pre approvals and such as well as good dental work. Aland cancelled me as a patient because I was in their face, doing their job, along with the insurance companies, conference calling and such because I consistantly got he said/she said scenario from both. Well, if the dental office is not going to follow your claim then who will? OH, ME AGAIN. It is sad when a dentist wants to cancel a patient because they cannot get their money right away and want it from you. Not such a family spirit, is it!

Persistent, as she worked on a stubborn spot, not giving up, yet talking me thru what she was doing. Complimentary on the condition of my teeth and what I had done. Negative experience: Very disappointed with their practice. Don’t treat patients as their priority. Wrong treatment done. Upon calling for emergency problem they told us to visit ER. Cannot mention all the problems that we had went through with this office but it was our wrost experience. My husband suffered for 2 months & they couldn’t treat the teeth that was causing the issue & instead made him take all 3 wisdom teeth out. They said the pain is for the wisdom teeth but it was a different teeth that had an infection which we found out after going to a different dentist. Everytime Wanted to talk to the manager receptionists didn’t forwarded the call nor some one called me back. Please, don’t pick this office for your dental health. They don’t treat you well & do wrong treatment

Fantastic experience: Dr. Aland knew how to handle my grandson that is under spectrum disorder. Dr. Aland communicates with him while on laughing gas. So far I am very satisfied on the service of Dr. Aland compared with other dental clinic that I have been to.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Stewart handled my procedure with such care, as someone who always feared going to the dentist growing up. I no longer have that, he made me feel comfortable the whole time during my tooth extraction. He communicated everything very clearly, and the process was smooth through and through. Fantastic experience: went to Dr. Aland's office on a recommendation of a friend, over the decades I've had too many Spanish Inquisition like dental horror shows, Dr Aland and his staff were excellent, put me at ease and clearly explained what had to be done, they also referred me to Dr. Adamson who did the oral surgery. I highly recommend Dr. Aland, without doubt the best dentist in Reno !

Fantastic experience: The experience I had at Aland Family Dentistry was excellent. I am new to the area and had to take a gamble on where to land for a new dentist and I’m so glad I landed here.
