Negative experience: Scammers. Both my partner and myself keep being scheduled for services that weren't discussed. They're going do things like identify the wrong tooth and say they have to pull it because they're bad at doing fillings, include add-ons to your cleaning when clearly specified that we're going with the insurance covered cleaning, then they'll switch to a $200+ cleaning after the sealants are removed and say that cleaning isn't covered by insurance. Here's the thing though, I already have another appointment elsewhere with a competent team and it's clear that this is just how Absolute Dental does business. I had the cleaning appointment already scheduled so I decided to keep it as one last appointment thinking there's so way they could mess that up, but I was very wrong. Anyone else with situations like this, take notice, because this could be a pattern of extortion and not simply incompetence. So far it's 2 of us here with the same experience, and the guy in front of me in line was also shocked to learn cleaning was $200+, so that's 3 people that I know of. Consider legal representation.

Negative experience: I had an appointment scheduled for my son at 8am… the assistant didn’t check in with us until 8:30 told us that we would have to wait 15 more minutes… he needed to go to a specialist…. they sent us to a specialist that didn’t even take my insurance. I called they said they don’t take any insurance at all. Please note I asked them are you sure they take my insurance? The assistant replied with yes! Overall horrible experience. Avoid this place at all costs.

Fantastic experience: I got a little emotional on my last visit I don't like needles they hurt if I would have prepared myself I wouldn't have been upset but with that being said. Dr Hock was very good he was as gentle as he could be, he went as fast as possible and did a great job. The whole staff was so nice and patient with me.

I interacted with Dr. McGill, Dr. Hock, Sophie and the front and back office staff and I could not have been more pleased. Everyone involved was professional, courteous and extremely helpful. I personally don't care for the dentist at all but this office at least made it easier. Recommend them highly.

Fantastic experience: The FEMALE Dentist was AMAZING! She REALLY listened to my concerns with my dentures and fixed what she could in one visit. Their whole team is great! The Prater location had me go back 4 times, and refused to correctly adjust them, spending 30 seconds filing them then stating repeatedly "you just have to get used to it" he was a horrible dentist with terrible bedside manor! So glad I have her as my dentist now!!

Fantastic experience: My son woke up with a swollen cheek, which turned out to be an abscess. He is not even A patient of absolute dental. I stopped in to see if he could be seen. They gave me an appointment. In an hour and a 1/2 . Which has always been unheard of in Reno I have never been able to accomplish that before they took him in diagnosed him gave him the antibiotics he needed, and the staff was genuinely kind And showed. Great concern for my son. I am very grateful. Thank you so much.

Positive experience: The receptionist gave me a different quote for my teeth cleaning the day of my appointment than the day I scheduled. I am being charged more than I used to at my old dentist without insurance than with insurance here. I also was told I would be given a free orthodontic consult but was never given one.

Fantastic experience: These people are miracle workers! I don't have a Medicare advantage plan so I wasn't able to to get the insurance to pay for it and I explained to them but I'm on a fixed income but they were gracious and explained all my options and sign me up so I can make payments on a Friday before a weekend there are no 24-hour dentist in Reno these people are the best.

Fantastic experience: This has to be one of the friendliest offices I have ever been in. The staff are always smiling and seem happy to be there! Very comfortable atmosphere. The dentist, Dr. Miguel, is very patient and answers all my questions.

Fantastic experience: Got my wisdom teeth extracted here and the staff couldn’t be lovelier! Dr Hock was the kindest Dr I’ve met in a moment. He explained everything he was going to do/what he was currently doing very well. And not to mention the assistants that took care of me were very kind as well, despite being a hectic day with staffing issues they showed they could all work together as a team and take care of their patients in an organized manner. I am completely satisfied with this office and staff!

Negative experience: Getting a hold of someone is quite a pain and difficult. And it appears no one is on the same page with each other. Getting insurance approval is like getting a tooth extraction. Call backs from the other offices, no problem. Here? Is exhausting.

Fantastic experience: Very accommodating. I was able to make an appointment on a Monday after I accidentally broke my tooth over the weekend. They were very thorough in examining my issue and explained in detail what were my options.

Negative experience: The day I went to then they told my my insurance would cover everything except 35.00 so I paid it and I needed adjust my parcel and when I get there they told me I had a balance of 300 so when you go there they say that everything is covered and when you get the service done then they will turn around and say you owe money which you are covered

Negative experience: l was put in a room to see the oral surgeon after the xray sat there for about 20 minutes Was taken out of the room to register for the "other side" oral surgeons work out of the other side of the office and waited. Was given paperwork to further explain my medical situation. Same paperwork the "other side" used. 77 reviews and they have a 2.2 rating. I can see why. Walked out spent 2 hours 3/4 was just waiting. My new dentist is modern, no over xeroxed forms, better service

Fantastic experience: Having a fear of dentistry since childhood I was pretty stressed out about having to undergo an oral surgery procedure. Dr. Hock made me feel very much at ease. Negative experience: Oh man, pray for me. I just started with them. Bad experience since my 2nd appointment. My first initial appointment of course was great. 2nd appointment I waited about 45 mins to be seen after waiting in the room for my cleaning. 3rd appointment 730 in the morning, I arrived and was told there systems were down. She said I should have received a message from "corporate" that my appointment was canceled. Never did!!! I wanted to believe and give them a chance this would be a good choice after hearing good and bad things about them. With all these bad reviews and people complaining, wouldn't you think this company would change and try to make things right!!!!

Negative experience: Back in 2022, I was seen at Absolute Dentals office on So. Virgina & Kiezke. Had an exam as well as X-Rays done. Was given a referral to an Oral surgeon. Covid hit and I moved out of the area. I have since moved back and proceeded to be seen once again. I was informed that a grievance was filed with my insurance as they had charged my acct. for a set of dentures. !!! My teeth were never pulled. Nor were impressions taken. How they of they made dentures for me ??? Now. I've to wait 30-45 days for the greevence to clear before I can be seen without paying cash for the visit. Not sure I'll been by them after the grievance clears. HOW CAN I TRUST THEM???.

Negative experience: Came here awhile ago and dentist wouldn't shutup about his assistants sister?? For 3 of my appointments.. I told him "ow that hurt" because he poked my cheek with the needle instead of my gum and he said "no it didnt.." wym no?. Tell him to stop talking about this poor girls sister and do his job right..

Fantastic experience: Had oral surgery done today with a total of 6 extraction. Whole procedure was about one hour if not less and didn't even get put to sleep, as requested by myself of course. Oral surgeon, dentists and the assistants there are incredibly courteous and will make sure you have all necessary information for a speedy recovery. These folks are top notch. Highly recommend Dr. Hock for oral surgery. He's the man!

I was in excruciating pain and very upset I had to have my tooth extracted. They took time explaining the entire process with me & catered to my hearing impairment. Negative experience: For many months now I have been given the run around on getting something re-billed from last December. I wait on the phone for hours and no one answers. I leave messages that they do not call back on. When they have answered previously they did not do the work that I requested. The work they did on me was low tier and that was a a whole thing that I really did not need. Steer clear of this place.

Negative experience: I am incredibly disappointed with Absolute Dental on South Virginia. The wait to be seen is ridiculous (an hour to be taken back is the norm) and if you chose to make an appointment over the phone rather than doing it online, don’t expect them to return your call! I called four times and the answering service even sent a message to management because I wasn’t getting called back. I had to physically go in to make an appointment. Completely unacceptable!

Negative experience: Make sure you actually have them run your insurance! They told me my PREMIUM Insurance doesn't cover consultations which resulted my dumb self believing i had to pay $200. (I got the money credited to my account which this office didn't feel it was necessary to even tell me if course.) If that wasn't the worst part they even tried to charge me $600 for 2 Teeth Removals! They eventually inserted my Insurance right and gave me the correct price.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Hock that man is a good man with great intention to see you throughout the whole way. Dr.Hock has not left me hangin one time. I really like your work an how you treat me an the pain I was going through. If I’d recommend anyone an I mean anyone, it would most definitely be Dr.Hock.

Negative experience: Tried to call and talk to a human to schedule an emergency appointment and when the machine voice asked if I'd like to try scheduling online and I said no (three times), it just went silent and stopped helping me. Literally designed so customers can't talk to a real person. I only answered yes, no, or "talk to agent" and the system stopped responding when I said no to being sent a link for online scheduling after asking to talk to a person. Super duper inconvenient for those in an emergency. Every other location has a better automated phone service than this one.

Fantastic experience: Very nice, very attentive people.I haven't had my device lined yet.So I don't know the quality of their work but i'm impressed with their staff.
