Fantastic experience: Outstanding!!! I was so nervous about finding a new dentist in Florida. The entire staff is warm and compassionate and go out of their way to make you feel comfortable. The actual dental work is outstanding. They really take the time to explain everything. I feel so grateful I found this place. If you are looking for a new dentist, I recommend without hesitation.

Fantastic experience: I experienced an issue with my teeth and I located this office. I walked in and explained my issue and the receptionist confirmed that the doctor could see me at this time. After a consultation they took my denture and stated that it would be fixed that day. I then went home and received a call within 2 hours stating that the problem was fixed. Very professional staff and doctor and I would recommend this office to anyone needing work to their teeth or dentures.

Fantastic experience: I called for a consultation about my sensitive teeth and got an appointment the next day. I was thinking that the actual work would be done at a later time, but they went ahead and did the work right then. On my way out I needed to schedule a cleaning which always seems to be months away, but they were able to schedule me just a couple weeks later. Great customer service and responsiveness.

Fantastic experience: Like many people, I dread every visit to a dental office, but the entire staff at Century Dental makes each visit as pleasant as possible. The facility is clean, COVID precautions are still in place, the staff is very welcoming and attentive, appointments are on time and procedures are completed efficiently and with a minus of discomfort.

My appointment was for having some pain in the area where a tooth was pulled a few years ago probably somewhere else and they took some X-rays and didn’t see any remnants of a tooth. It was suggested to get an implant and the staff is contacting my insurance company for pricing. Very friendly staff.

The dental hygienist, Joan, was the best hygienist I ever had to clean my teeth. She even did a deep cleaning and I never fault a thing. Truely impressed by Joan. Fantastic experience: The front desk staff was very pleasant and helpful in chasing down my dental insurance. Dr. Allawnha spent time to go over the x-rays and explained the problems that need to be fixed. One bonus point is that I like sailing, and the room I was in had a beautiful stained glass window of a sailing scenery (see attached picture).

Negative experience: I joined up with this dentist to help me with a 3 root canal crowns as well as potentially being my new primary care dentist. It just so happened that they had been going through a hurricane so they were closed for a couple of months, maybe three months. During this time they decided to defer all of the calls to one of the assistants. When you would try to call, it would just be their normal voicemail so there was no indication of whether you had called the right number or not. They eventually opened and I made the mistake of calling that woman’s cell phone number after they had opened up their official line and they were so enraged by the call that she had a separate person answer the phone with a ton of attitude, I’m not sure of her name, but it was the younger Hispanic woman at the front desk, answering for the older/middle-aged white lady. There was so much salt in her tone that it really surprised me. If she had a problem, she should’ve answered the phone herself not had her coworker answer it and I tell you truthfully the coworker was so incredibly rude. It was amazing. I genuinely made a mistake and I had been giving them so much time and patience through the process that I felt very wronged. Finally, when I actually got in there to get my crowns, the younger male assistant that helped me told me that he was going to talk to the doctor about a few things that I had mentioned, and then when the main dr., Dr. Ant…(male) came in, he didn’t mention anything that the guy had said. I was only able to afford two of the three root canal crowns at once and I had to wait on the third and the doctor that drilled into it and put the potty told me that I really needed to try to get to all three soon so I considered putting more on my credit card but doctor A. told me that I could go on basically forever without crowning it as long as I brushed it but at that point all of the putty was gone. One of the things I asked was if he could potentially fill in that potty with something he had. That’s what the assistant was supposed to ask him. When he came in, he made no mention to anything I was trying to surmise from him And wanted to send me away without answering any of the questions that the person was supposed to ask him and out of necessity, I had to mention that I needed something to put into the space where that last root canal would eventually be crowned and wanted to know if there was something they could do to help it or whether I had to go back to the endodontist to get it refilled. The main doctor at this establishment gave me gruff and told me that because “ I’m special” he’s going to stop everything he’s going to do so he could help me. Honestly, this dude’s a conceited mama jamma which rubbed me the wrong way when he’s wasn’t even providing basic stuff and also he’s pretty weird too. He went on and on about how he likes to run around on all fours so if you want a half man half dog, that’s a jerk working on your teeth go for it more power to you. Please, no one from the team or the doctor themselves reach out here because I really want nothing to do with you and we all know that that response is more of just you trying to save faith than anything else. At least anyone reading this to this point I hope you understand they are allowed to have the final say and then I can’t respond at the end of it to anything they say so keep that in mind.

Positive experience: Most of my appointments have been fine. Staff is friendly and wait times are short. My most recent appointment however, was not good. The hygienist seemed to be in a hurry. She polished the fronts of my teeth very quickly, but completely skipped the backside. She rushed through flossing my teeth also, skipping several areas. I left feeling like the appointment was pretty much a waste of my time.

Fantastic experience: Jack Penny has been our dentist in St. Pete Beach since shortly after we moved there 40 years ago. A couple years ago, he brought Dr. Allawnha in to eventually take the practice over and retire some day. We have always been thrilled with Dr. Penny's care, and feel just as confident with the new, younger dentist as well. Dr. Penny chose his replacement really well. Their office was a mess after Hurricane Helene visited, but they got back open very quickly. The big red STOP WORK order sticker on the door explains that they restored their ability to service their patients while the rest of us were still filing permit applications. We both have cleanings scheduled this weekend, but my husband Peter had a tooth break on Thanksgiving. Dr Allawnha saw him the day after he contacted them and got him out of pain right away. The entire staff is amazing. Century Dental is highly recommended.

Fantastic experience: Major dental work is never fun. However, I can say that Dr. Allawnha takes the time and care to ensure he and his team provide warm and friendly care. They are honest and upfront about any associated costs. They always provide a clear expectation for the work needing to be done. Fantastic experience: Thank you to the staff and Dr Abdullah for getting me in for an emergency visit! After a tooth extraction I ended up with an infection. I was leaving on vacation to St Pete’s Beach so my dentist in Iowa put me on amoxicillin. It did not work. I saw Dr Abdullah and gave me the right medicines. By the next day the pain was gone and I could see my jawline again!! Thank you again Century Dental! Everyone was very kind and caring.

Fantastic experience: Dr. A is amazing! I went in for the first session of my implant and was very nervous. I’ve had many problems with long lasting pain after other procedures from other dentists. He was very informative and caring. The procedure was flawless. He even called the next morning to see how I was doing. Surprisingly enough to me there was no pain or soreness. Couldn’t be happier. Dr. A is my dentist for life
