Negative experience: Moved to st pete. Booked this place and went several times. If you look at a lot of the previous reviews, there is a lot of complaints about them not being remotely close to appointment time you booked. I can confirm this, often wait 20-30 minutes after my appointment time, if not more. They are administratively a mess. Not sure how the office manager even has a job. I’ve finally had enough after my last 30 minute sit in the lobby and just left. I’ve called multiple times to even get my X-rays and been told the office manager will call you back. Nope nothing. I finally have reached out to my insurance to file a complaint so they can hopefully not renew the contract with this place. It’s horrible. The dentist are fine, no issue. It’s just everything outside the dentist that’s a complete disaster with this place. It’s like a show in the lobby to see how they treat patients.
Negative experience: I'm not the type to leave bad reviews, but I have had a strange experience at this office. My first two appointments at the end of 2024 were just fine - the staff was kind and professional, and I was happy to be a returning patient. I scheduled a regular check-up/cleaning for this August, which was a very early morning appointment. When I arrived, I was told that they couldn't see me because the Dentist called out sick. I wasn't upset about this, as life happens. I did wish I had been contacted before driving the 45 minutes there, but because it was an early morning appointment I assumed they may not have had time. I rescheduled for September, and unfortunately I had to cancel because I was sick this time. Finally we come to today, Tuesday October 21st, for a 9:30am appointment. When I arrived, the lights were off, building locked, no staff present. I called the office and left a message, and texted the confirmation line to try and understand if I was at the wrong office, but had no luck getting in touch with anyone. This is incredibly frustrating, and rather than continue to make the commute and not receive care, I will be switching practices.
Negative experience: Schedule an appointment online 2 weeks in advance to receive a voicemail 2 days before my appointment saying they had to reschedule. Then my husband went in for his appointment (on a different day) and nobody was at the office. Super unprofessional.
Negative experience: I have been here about three times and the front staff is always cold, which usually wasn't a problem because I did not need anything from them. The most recent visit I did not like how they talked to me and treated me. I had my appointment rescheduled since I didn't confirm and since they have to "verify my new insurance." My insurance isn't new so what they had on file was correct. They gave me a hard time about not answering the calls, which my job doesn't allow me to do. I get I didn't confirm. I throught from the last text about "you have an appointment" meant I'd still be seen. Guess not. They said they called three times but my phone says I missed one call from them the week prior. With the way they were talking to me and giving me a hard time, I felt so small by the time they were done with me. I really like Ky the hygienist, which is why I wanted to continue here. I like how she speaks to people about their dental hygiene in a nonjudgmental way and helps ease your dental anxiety. I do agree with the reviews that my cleanings cost a little more but I felt like it was worth it for her. She also made it to where I didn't think about the front staff the previous times because she's so sweet!! I'm not sure if I'm going back at this point though. But if you're going, make sure you confirm and answer those calls/texts. Edit: I stopped going here after this review. I don't want to be treated that way again and to not know when policies change. this company will message you for years after despite you asking to be listed as do no contact. This is unethical for a dental office and does not comply with HIPAA. I don't know how to make them leave me alone. I've asked several times. Smile design-im asking again for you to stop contacting me!!!!

Negative experience: My family, friends and I had attended the Central Avenue location in St. Petersburg for many years. We always loved the staff here. However, Myself and all our friends and family have stopped attending this office. Sierra is very kind in the front. The other girl up there is very aggressive and in her eyes the customer is never right. I never lean towards race. But she was so welcoming to men and anyone that was African American. But she had a hate for me brewing within her. I even had to ask her to calm down one day. She became very argumentative when she had asked for updated insurance and I RESPONDED "Are you certain you do not have. I send my renewal at the beginning of each year." Man was I in the wrong. Then my next cleaning after that there was a new hygenist. And she scrapped my teeth so hard that she tore my filling out. Not only was my feeling pulled out but my teeth hurt for 2 days. Then when I went back in a few days later for them to refill. They had the nerve to bill both me and my insurance for their mistake. And female Dentist stated "Oh well we don't know it could had already been loose" I responded "I've explained this 10 times but i'll explain again. Your hygenist was scrapping to hard and even said "OOPS" as she tore my felling out. it was not loose!" I got no apology what-so-ever was billed that day, my insurance was also billed then I received an additional bill for another $50.+. None of us will be returning. We all have different situations. This use to be an awesome place, great Dentist, friendly knowledgeable staff. Now even the Dentist does not know how to admit when they did a patient wrong. Rude and snotty behavior will not help this office. And the rude girl at the front will make people run. So many years so close to home was wonderful. Nolonger, will find a nice welcoming place to go. That knows how to apologize when they do a patient wrong.

Negative experience: concerning billing and scheduling practices. Please look out for this with some dental offices. When you initially book a cleaning, even if you go every 6 months and you’re on top of your oral hygiene, they will schedule you without disclosing that it’s just an evaluation, (probing) and x-ray, and then say you have to come back for your cleaning. They will proceed to try to bill you for a Full Dental Debridement, D4355, which is only appropriate for oral plaque that has build up for so long that it solidifies across the teeth and gums, joining them into one large mass, and requires an extensive procedure to remove, something that has never existed in my mouth, or likely anyone’s with regular dental visits. knowing that most insurances cover this once in a lifetime, if at all, they are hoping you’ll resort to a large out of pocket payment - they also know you can only bill this code on a second visit, which is why they have you come in initially for evaluation, and then reschedule you to come back. It is pretty bold fraud, when I asked why on earth they billed for this code, they tried to convince me I needed to be billed for “root planing/scaling” by quadrant, D4341, another very expensive and extensive procedure, which can be billed 4 times for one visit. Wild. After a lot of back and fourth with the staff that was unpleasant, and the hygienist was bothered that I would not just agree to mis-billing my insurance, she did a regular teeth cleaning and still charged me for a “gingival cleaning”. At this point I had already paid for the initial eval and X-rays, didn’t want to pay for those again with a new office, and obliged with the lower cost appointment. Just don’t expect to be billed for any regular prophys (cleanings) that would normally be covered by insurance, they will go through billing gymnastics to make some money off you. I’ve since moved on to a different dentist that does my regular cleanings and bills normally. The regular cleaning wasn’t unpleasant here though, she flossed and scraped and polished like normal.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Jaamour and her staff went above and beyond for me. I had to have extensive dental treatment and I couldn't be happier with the results. Everyone was friendly, very competent, listened and did not judge. The front desk staff was great and wait time was very minimal. I was able to get appointments quickly. I had to have seven appointments and my insurance was expiring in six weeks and they managed to get it all done with time to spare. Dr. Jaamour is definitely the best dentist I've every been to. And her assistant is great too. I highly recommend Smile Dentistry in St. Petersburg.

Negative experience: Consistently since we started down my path, temporary dentures never looked at again for resigning as promised. Appointments double booked, mis-quoted pricing and fairly abrupt in dealing with over bookings. Today left setting for 20 minutes then told another 1/2 hour and basically told my fault. Would recommend not starting with them.

Negative experience: I have never been treated with as much disdain as I was treated by the ofc mgr.. she happens to be black and treats whites unbelievably rudely but have seen her treat fellow black patrons with nothing but kindness. I had to go back twice to get receipt of cash paid. I will never recommend this ofc to anyone. It is very unfortunate because the dentist and hygienist were very nice. This ofc mgr should be fired in my opinion. She represents this practice in a very negative way.

Negative experience: The front office staff are rude and ignorant, office manager is a joke, she is rude, ignorant and confrontational when you ask a question or need assistance with something. They absolutely do not answer their phone, and do not return your phone calls if you leave a message. This dental office is one of the most abhorrent experiences I have had in my life with medical professionals.

Negative experience: Horrible service. The dentist seemed knowledgeable, but the front-office is a disaster. I came to Smile Design to get a filling. The first appointment went well. The women at the front-desk took my insurance and I was seen. I was provided with a Treatment Plan for my filling that did not show that my insurance was attached to my account. I asked for that to be corrected and was told it would be that afternoon and I would receive an updated Treatment Plan. It never came. I called four times over the course of a two-week period leading up to the appointment for my filling. No one cared to call me back. Smile Design finally called me thirty minutes before my appointment to ask about my insurance because they told me that my insurance had been terminated - it has not. I went to the office in-person to try to resolve the problem, but the women at the front-desk were so rude, in polite, and incompetent that I’d rather walk around with an abcess in my jaw than do business with them again. Stay away!

Negative experience: The office staff are rude, telephone calls go unanswered and not returned . They are argumentative and unhelpful. I called 4 times left my new telephone number but never got call back. What a shame because Dr's are good. I will never go back and be ridiculoud.

Negative experience: Malpractice (bridge fell apart) and allowed painful infection to occur by failing to prescribe or inform about using antibiotics after surgery. Sent a 2,000 bill and refused to make the situation right. The dentist should be charged, the dentist deserves to lose her right to work on patients.

Negative experience: I scheduled a cleaning here and was not informed until the day of that I was due for imaging. This is fine, however when I told the tech I had other appointments today and would just like to have a cleaning done without the X-rays. They would not allow me to just get the cleaning done.

Negative experience: My first visit there they took xrays and came up with a treatment plan for around $2000. I take the best care of my teeth because I had braces 60 years ago and they changed my life. I value my teeth abd just wanted the cleaning my insurance covers. My former dentist had not found these problems.

Negative experience: My son had an appointment. Day of the appointment, they left me a message saying they didn’t accept my insurance. I tried calling but got the voicemail. I called my insurance and my rep confirmed we are in network and they should accept our insurance. She called them to confirm and left a message. I then spent 3 days trying to reach them. Left a couple messages. Never got through and no one ever called me back.

Negative experience: On July 3, 2023, I booked a dental cleaning appointment but only received an X-ray. The staff informed me that my insurance was "not connected," so I left the dentist's office, assuming my insurance provider was at fault. Fast forward to my visit to Smile Design Dentistry St. Pete on July 17, 2023. My appointment was scheduled for a routine cleaning, but the assistant informed me that I was only booked for a filling and would need to reschedule for the cleaning. After some insistence, the assistant eventually performed both procedures. However, when I received my bill, I was shocked to see charges totaling over $500 for a "deep cleaning," which was supposed to cost only $50 out of pocket as per the verbal estimate provided before my procedure. There were additional unexplained charges, including $116 for numbing and four separate charges of $44 each for "gingival irrigation with medicinal." None of these charges were disclosed to me prior to the work being done. When I raised my concerns with the front desk, they refused to provide the procedure codes and only directed me to contact my insurance representative. Even after doing so, they continued to withhold the codes, making it impossible for me to understand or dispute the charges effectively. I was forced to appeal these charges with my insurance company, and despite my efforts, the issue remained unresolved. Update (01/15/2025): My billing concerns were never addressed, and the matter has now been sent to collections. I refuse to pay these unjustified charges, as I believe this is a clear case of fraudulent and deceptive billing practices. Avoid this dentist at all costs. Their tactics are unethical, and their refusal to resolve legitimate concerns is appalling.

Negative experience: Impossible to reach over the phone. I’ve left 3 voicemails and never received a call back. If you call as a new patient and dial “1” you’ll reach a staff member but as soon as you’re an existing patient and dial “2” forget getting ahold of anyone. Even if you try dialing 1 and do reach someone they will transfer you to the office and again, nobody answers.

They make appointments 2 weeks out and lie and say they take the insurance and call you the day before your appointment and say they don't take it and your kid is just stuck in pain and find another dentist not professional at all would NOT recommend

Positive experience: Everybody there has always been nice. Over the years I've been going there it has a high turnover of all employees. I've had great hygienists and some just ok. Same goes for the dentists. Funny how each one seems to find different things the others didn't or weren't concerned about. If you're ok with not seeing the same Dr and hygienist for more than a year or two it's a decent place.

Negative experience: I went to this office in September, made an initial appointment and they only took X-rays... I asked why I wasn't getting a cleaning done today, I was told it's because they want to do X-rays first so they can "assess" what time of cleaning needs to be done. I told them I can't take off so many mornings from work to have so many different appointments and that a cleaning is standard when you go to the dentist and it's been 6 months.. I was talked down to for "assuming" they would be able to do a cleaning that day instead of specifically asking for it. Scheduling is so unorganized, I wanted to get my cleaning and fillings done same morning, that was a hassle to schedule because they "don't normally do it same day". You get 15 appointment reminder texts, and I called to leave a message to confirm my appointment 48 hours before because I saw other reviews saying their appointments got cancelled. Never received a call back or true confirmation. Then, I arrive for my appointment and they say a hygienist called out and asked me to come back 2 hours later!! The front desk lady also said I should have received a phone call to let me know. I did not. I then said, no I can't come back later, I have work. I told them to go ahead and cancel my cleaning AND fillings at this point, and the front office worker goes, Oh, you had a filling too? You sure you don't want to do that?... No, I will find a different dental office that will have much better service and professionalism! I gave 2 stars because the dentist herself was very nice and knowledgeable and the hygienist was sweet. This office is very disorganized and frustrating to deal with.
Negative experience: Shouldn't even give 1 star rating. Beware of this practice! They are negligent, provide improper care and almost killed me. They are refusing the necessary care I need to fixed their botched surgery, and now I have to go to another provider to repair my teeth or have to get dentures at my expense because they chewed up all of my insurance benefits. I'm 53. I would advise avoiding them at all costs, unless you'd like to lose weight quickly, because I can't eat proper food, just broth and mush. I'm in severe pain and they like to scam you out of your money and leave you with no other option other than to pay out of pocket for their mistakes. Rude front desk. Rude dentist.

He was in severe pain, and from the moment we called, their team was compassionate, understanding, and quick to help. They prioritized his emergency and got him in immediately. The level of empathy and care from the entire staff was truly remarkable. The providers took the time to explain everything and made sure my husband was comfortable throughout the process. Positive experience: I normally erase ads that show up in my inbox, but Smile Design made me an offer I could not refuse: A complete examination and set of X-Rays for $49. My health insurance does not cover dental so any work I have done is completely out-of-pocket. Ky the dental hygienist was quick, efficient, and patient (I am a horrible patient for ANY medical or dental procedure). The X-Rays were all digital and showed up immediately on her computer screen. After the X-Rays were completed the dentist came in and examined me while Ky took notes. Ky then made a printout with all the recommended and necessary work I need done and explained them to me along with the prices for each procedure. I have never had a dental appointment where everything was explained so thoroughly. ALL my questions were answered in easy to understand terminology. I am not sure if the prices for the various procedures are competitive or not, but now I have a list of procedures I need done and can shop around. If their prices ARE competitive I will gladly have them perform the work.

Fantastic experience: Very well trained and professional staff. The building looks a bit dodgy but once we met the dentist, radiologist and hygienist our doubts were cast aside. The dentist evaluated our situation, after doing X-rays, and our cleanings were performed a week later. Thus far, we are quite pleased.

Negative experience: Smile Dentistty of Saint Petersburg are Dirty Liars they told me Humana never paid them and Human did pay 325 dollars for my cleaning. They collect a total of almost 500 dollars for a free of charge dental cleaning. Patients beware the stories keep changing and are inconsistent by the billing office of Smile Design dentistry’ of St Peterburg. Humana dental Insurance sent me info to see this dentist office for a no charge dental cleaning that is on every plan. The dental office told me that the doctor is no longer with the network and I must pay 143 dollars for a deep cleaning. I then speak to Humana dental they say to have the dental office claim the dentist that is the provider so I then call and the same dental office smile design dentistry of St Petersburg who now are changing their story around that they did send in the claim to Humana and never got paid or received funds for service of 291 dollars. Advice before you go to this office don’t pay a dime till you speak with your dental insurance agency. You won’t be reimbursed by your dental plan. As Humana dental advise me never to pay till I speak with an insurance agent to avoid dirty crooks Jc

Negative experience: Pretend this is a minus 1star. They quote you over the phone price of service. Then they have you in the chair,the original quote is not valid. Employee that takes phone calls quoted $49.00 for new clients also $ $100.00 for a tooth extraction. Employee never explained anything about using their insurance. Told employee from the beginning it will be in cash no insurance. Paid $195.00 cash. But now they are saying they want $300.00 more. If we knew that from the beginning we would have went someplace else. I also have receipts from my teeth getting pulled for $100.00 a tooth at other places.

Negative experience: This place is awful. I went for X-Rays and teeth cleaning. I was told I needed $5,000 worth of dental work, that I had bone loss, severe gingivitis and needed a deep cleaning which would cost $1,000. I have been going to my dentist regularly in Chicago for years so I was shocked! The whole thing seemed so off so I went for a second opinion to Dental Arts on MLK where I was told my teeth did not need a deep clean, I do not have bone loss or ANY gingivitis. Also any work I needed was cosmetic and would cost $302. Beware of these scammers!

Fantastic experience: Smile Design was so helpful with my emergency dental issue! I was in from out of town visiting a cousin and in my packing for the second part of the trip we were leaving for that afternoon (my sister's bachelorette in Orlando) my temp onlay came out! I was panicked and needed it glued back in because it was painful for it to even touch air. I called smile design and they got me in within a half hour. Everyone at the office was so kind. I was upset from the stress and the pain and they helped me get the temp back on and secure for the rest of my trip, quickly and efficiently. They even called to check in a few days later which was very sweet! Highly recommend!

Negative experience: The dentist messed up an old filling I had while giving me a new one, then scheduled me two appointments to see him and get it fixed. First one I showed up to waited an hour before they told me they couldn’t see me, second one waited over thirty minutes before they just told me I need to go to someone else. Now I can’t get in contact with them at all after calling and leaving voicemails to get the name of who they referred me to.

Fantastic experience: I had a teeth cleaning this morning at Smile Design Dentistry, done by Ky. I have always dreaded the cleanings as my teeth /gums are sensitive and they have always been painful and I always drove home with sore gums. Well today Ky thoroughly cleaned my teeth and I didn’t flinch once! She was both gentle and super competent, explaining everything as she went along. Told me to raise my hand if anything hurt. Nothing hurt, not once thru-out the whole cleaning. I was so amazed. I’ve been dreading cleanings for years…but no more. Ky is now my new best friend. Thank you Ky for your patience, your humor and your tips on dental care. You are the bomb. Oops do kids still say that :-). I found the whole staff to be very nice and friendly. I have my return appointment for my cleaning and now I don’t have to dread it as I use to.

Negative experience: Extracted a tooth after my accident. Began the process of getting an implant ready and then ghosted me for months. They ignored phone calls, voicemails, and emails until my insurance contacted corporate directly. Only then did I find out that there was a change in staff and they no longer performed implants, so I had to start the whole process over elsewhere. Worst dental experience i’ve ever had and would never recommend to anybody. I would rate them 0 stars if it were possible.

Negative experience: Overcharged for cleaning: Had to pay additional out of pocket and then found out insurance covered it all. Then still received in invoice in the mail from them — even though the bill had been twice paid (once by me and once by insurance). Have called and emailed multiple times to settle the matter and have not received an email response or call back. They continue to bombard me with marketing emails even after unsubscribing and their online appointment scheduling system does not work. When you call and finally do get a hold of someone working, they are rude, cannot help you, and have no one to direct you to in order to solve issues. The worst experience I have ever had with a dentist. I will not be back and do not recommend them for anyone. Look elsewhere.

Call in to pay it and lady asks for my date of birth then says hold on.... waited for 5 min on hold then she hung up. Called back 5 more times to pay it and left a message and no answer. Negative experience: Don’t ignore the negative reviews!!! I am very disappointed in this office I went for a routine visit basic teeth cleaning with new patient X-rays which is covered as part of my insurance plan and was given a bill of 502$. It has been processing since oct 2022. I have taken steps calling my insurance multiple times and called the office to follow up on the charges but still receive a monthly bill that has never been resolved. My son has gotten the same treatments done at his pediatric dentist and I have never been charged a penny. Came to google to look at reviews and see if this is an issue for other people and find out the office is wrongfully coding / billing insurance leaving people with bills they don’t deserve. So unprofessional and disappointing taking advantage of their patients.
Positive experience: The staff were all pleasant, but I was there for three hours with an infected jaw. Tooth to be extracted and was told they were calling in a prescription for an antibiotic. Cvs never was contacted and now I have to last the weekend with my infrction
Negative experience: Called for an Emergency root exposure and the receptionist said her site was down to verify for insurance and immediately started quoting their prices. I let her know I understood that all new patients are required to have a new patient orientation/X-rays but if their site is down all I was asking for was a general ball park number to be seen since my root is exposed and in extreme pain. She then had someone get on the phone after I was holding and once she got on she did not even ask any questions but gave me straight attitude towards wanting to get an estimate on my emergency. there was no consideration or compassion towards someone just inquiring for some help, even after I got her to semi calm down to explain that her colleague let me know her site was down in regards towards insurance she completely shut me down and said they don’t accept my insurance.
Fantastic experience: WONDERFUL!! Every appointment I have had has been amazing. Dr. Ramon E. Ocana is the best. He is so caring, professional and knowledgeable. He and staff member Sherma made me feel so comfortable when I was so afraid and nervous. They talked me through step by step and i really appreciate the honesty. Negative experience: I have been going to this same office for over 5 years. I've had no problem until now. My crown fell off and I simply needed an appointment. Anytime I tried calling this past week (today is Friday) I am either hung up on or no one ever answers. I've never had this problem in the past. What is going on in your office where you cant answer phone calls from existing patents??? This used to be my favorite dentist, but about two years ago something happened with their office staff and billing, insurance, and scheduling has been an absolute NIGHTMARE. I have had two bills in the last two years that I have had to dispute with their front office that have taken MONTHS to settle - one I'm still working on now - because the office either didn't file the insurance, didn't do it correctly, or -after asking and checking and rescheduling multiple times to ensure I had hygienist in network - I am now being told it was out of network.

Fantastic experience: Just an amazing experience from start to finish. It feels odd to go into the dentist to get work done and come out in a very good mood! Everyone was great from the front office, to the hygienist l, assistant and doctor. Felt supported during a very stressful time and i would recommend this dentist to anyone. The only gripe i have is that after my initial appointment i was quoted a certain prive but my bill was a bit higher. I understand that treatment plans change so im not that upset about it. Negative experience: Absolutely incompetent. Had an appointment scheduled for months and they’d call weekly saying it was time to schedule an appointment. When I got there they had no idea I was a returning patient or what I was there for. They said they didn’t have time for a cleaning so they would just do an X-ray. A specialist had sent them a recent X-ray so not only were they not going to do a cleaning they were going to commit insurance fraud by taking X-rays that were not necessary. The office is a dump and all the employees seem like dental school drop outs. Be careful of being charged for things you don’t need done!

Negative experience: As a dental professional with over 10 years in the business I do have high standards when seeing a new office for any procedure. I recently relocated and had to find a new office for my annual cleaning which I never miss. I called to book a new patient exam along with my annual check up/ cleaning. When I arrived to the office, the bathroom had no had soap. One big red flag the staff had crocs on without sock (with the holes) which is a PPE violation. Also I saw a lot of cross contamination with gloves on dropping things and picking it back up. I never felt like I wanted to run out of a dental office but this day I did. I love going to the dentist so I felt bad having to write this. When I saw the Dr she recommend 3 fillings and stated I was not scheduled for a cleaning today. I asked for intraoral photos of the cavity’s and occlusal surfaces to better understand the areas she talked to me about however they could not get the camera to work. Once they dismissed me they tried to bill me for an exam that my insurance would have cover with my annual cleaning which I did not receive. Also showing me what they would bill for the filling I needed. I will be disputing this with my insurance and seeking care elsewhere. Very disappointed in the scheduling center as the front office stated this was on them.

Negative experience: Horrible experience I called early in the morning due to pain I was having due to a broken tooth. And also was very swollen. The assistant was amazing but the doctor was horrible didn’t care to ask anything about my pain. Also just cared about fixing the broken tooth. I know for a fact I have an infection due to me not being able to close my mouth completely and to them if I was not spending money they did not care for me or my pain. I will be going to my original dentist and I bet I will be taken care of much better then here. The only reason why I came here was because I was at work with this horrible pain and took my lunch to get help!! BUT NO HELP WAS GIVEN ! The only nice person was the assistant which was understanding! But Doctor Khare only cares for money and not patients!!

Negative experience: I've been coming here for a few years. At first, it was a great experience. But lately, it's been incredibly difficult to get anyone at this office on the phone to schedule an appointment. I recently had a filling replaced here and when the filling was too high and I was in pain the next day, I had to plead with them to please let me come into the office to have the filling corrected. Now I'm seeing a new dentist and despite multiple calls to their office, they have yet to send over my xrays from this year. Really poor communication overall.

Positive experience: After visiting this dentist office twice and getting too Impressions made I had a visit on October 4th 2022 thinking it I was going to be test fitted for my new dentures lo and behold they wanted to do another impression because for the second time now they are the lab screwed something up I don't believe they know what they're doing or how to do it. Negative experience: Disgraceful. My crown was poorly prepped by the doctor, then poorly affixed by a bumbling helper. It was reaffixed (by the doctor this time at my insistance) three months later. His handiwork fell off 2 months later. I went to a different dentist and paid nearly $1000 to have it entirly reprepped and redone, but at least my tooth was saved.

Positive experience: Not entirely sure about how I feel about this place. The staff is extremely nice. Very helpful and so was the doctor. Went for my initial exam and cleaning and everything went fine. My only hangup is the overall cleanliness of the space. It was just a little dingy and didn’t feel clean and things like patient protective glasses and the chair light didn’t seem like they’re wiped down in its entirety. I took off one star because of that and might find a different place as well which is a shame since I don’t expect them to deep clean the place just for me I made an appointment for my daughter at the 4th street location and had the same experience, only that one was even less sanitary.

Negative experience: I am only writing this review because I got an email asking me to come back for a visit. Never would I ever go there again. When I went for one of my two cleanings allowed by my plan they took full mouth xrays then told me they want to replace all my fillings, bridge and crowns that I had and presented me with a $12,000.00 bill and would not even do the cleaning unless I paid $200 for it even though my plan covers two deep cleanings a year. This place is a total, dishonest rip off. The office is so small everyone waiting there herd the whole ridiculous conversation. I ran out of there and complained to my insurance company. You have been warned!!!

Positive experience: No one enjoys going to the dentist, but my experiences here have been good considering. Lorena did my teeth cleaning and she was fantastic - very nice, knowledge and did a great cleaning. I requested her to do my next one. Definitely recommend her. I haven’t had any work done by the dentist, but the couple times I’ve seen him he has seemed competent. I do need a bridge done soon, but the price they quoted me seemed really high. I will probably wait until I have a better dental insurance and see if that helps with the expense.
Fantastic experience: I had a six tooth bridge done. Dr. Bandeira and his staff did a great job. It looks and feels great. It only took a few visits and was practically pain free. Also, it was very reasonably priced. Im glad to feel confident again!
Fantastic experience: I was very nervous about going to the dentist as I had some pretty horrible experiences in the past and was traumatized. Smile Design Dentistry was the perfect solution for me. Negative experience: The initial exam and x-rays went well, however I have never gone to a dentist where the x-rays and exam are done on a different day then the regular cleaning. The negative review is due to the multiple cancellations by the office for my cleaning. My x-rays and initial exam we're done in June, the office called and cancelled once for the cleaning (I can understand) and rescheduled for today July 23rd. I get a call this morning less than 1 hr before my appointment, saying the office has to cancel due to the hygienist calling out sick again and are rescheduling me for another month out. If the hygienist called out sickthen why wasn't I called at 8 a.m. when the office opened up? Coronavirus or not this is unacceptable. If you have to cancel an appointment the office should get you in within 2 be weeks. If there's that much of a backlog of patients due to the office being closed in the spring, then they should extend their office hours or add-on an additional work day (Mon-Sat) until caught up. Either that or the office should be responsible and not take on new patients. All I know is that I've been waiting a long time to have my teeth cleaned and it takes 20 mins. The office should have squeezed me in after the first cancelation and definitely after the second cancelation. Not rebook me yet another month out. That is completely unprofessional. Simple fix, extend office hours 8am to 6pm and open on Saturdays 9am to 1pm...

They don’t respect your appointments they call you to canceled at the last minute when you are on your way and they only say “I’m sorry” actually this appointment was changed 5 times!!!! I said enough! We have better places to go. Don’t tell me you don’t have my records! You have this! Don’t try to clean your poor and terrible , unprofessional this office is.

Fantastic experience: Staff is always friendly all around. I ignored my teeth for far too many years out of fear and Smile Design St Pete has made it very easy and comfortable to start taking care of them again

This is very true in my experience with my dentist appointment today Every one right from Ms.Tonya to Ms.Krystal and my Dr were very professional, polite , Patient, respectful towards my concerns about my treatment My Doctor was excellent, throughly explained the process and assured me not to worry and that it was going to be alright ! Though this was my first visit, I felt great with their team efforts and gestures ❤️
Fantastic experience: Very helpful and polite staff. My hygienist is exceptional! I felt they were taking precautions with Covid-19, limited the amount of people in the waiting room.
Fantastic experience: Love that all staff were wearing masks and had sanitizers everywhere and frequently sanitized door handles. In addition, pricing is transparent and they have a reasonable short wait between appointments, and service was prompt and thorough.
Fantastic experience: I had an awesome time getting 5 fill ins today. The doctor and assistant was very friendly and funny. He also listened to me about how I felt about my smile and we decided together what was the best plan for me. I have been fighting a terrible battle with my teeth since I was a kid and I am so happy this office has done a days work than other offices that would have taken months to do. It was pain free and very fun. I thank you guys so much for making me laugh and taking care of me at once. You don’t know how much hope you guys gave me.Great Job‼️
Fantastic experience: Hands down the best dentist I ever had. Dr. Bandeira was quick and thorough and personable. His assistant Calvin was just as competent. The doctor noticed right away I had a problem in my mouth and told me which vitamins would help. I’m so glad I found him.

On march 18, 2020 just to see what I needed to get done and before the appointment was over I had six teeth extractions and I am Sacred Straight of the dentist office; But let me tell you when they say don't be scared we are going to take care of you that is just what they do.
