Positive experience: Update: They no longer answer phone calls. It’s super frustrating when the question or concern I have is requested to be put in text. I end up spending half an hour or more communicating back & forth via text when it could be handled in a 2 minutes phone call. Always so happy with our appointments with Dr.Sam at Coastal Kids. He’s very attentive and reassuring that we’re in good hands! The office staff and Dental assistants are always so kind & welcoming too! Highly recommend!

Fantastic experience: Usually kids dental cleaning appointments were stressful to them and to me. Today it’s the first time visiting here and surprisingly non of my kids whined or cried. My older kid cried during every x-ray, but today she did not. Belma was very gentle and friendly, and she made sure my kids feeling ok and understand what was going on. Overall very relaxed visit for me. My kids said Belma is friendly and care about how they feel.

Fantastic experience: We’ve been coming here for 3 years now and it’s the best dental experience I’ve had with my kids. They’re super patient and understanding in a field that can be very scary and nerve racking as a child. I have an autistic 10 year old and a 7 year old who loves to talk. We have been able to get things done along with making it a calm and fun environment.

Fantastic experience: We love Dr Sam and his team. My son is very shy usually but love going to the office and can’t stop talking about it after we come home. I recommend visiting this office if you want to get exceptional care from the moment you enter the room to the time you leave the office.

Fantastic experience: My son always has the best experiences here! He’s 3 years old and full of energy, but the doctor, assistants, and front desk team always know how to calm him down and make sure he gets a proper cleaning. They also give great advice for at-home care — like how to floss and brush closer to his gums when some of his teeth started to twist a bit. Highly recommend this office!

Fantastic experience: The staff were very friendly and explaining each step that they were doing to my 3 yr old. They answered all of my daughter’s questions about the instruments and demonstrated what it did before proceeding to cleaning her teeth. Highly recommend this clinic.

Negative experience: Great dentists and great staff. Super friendly to my Childrens and very helpful with all of the information they give. They inform me the best they can and always answer my questions to the best of their ability . However, I’ve since now had to drop my rating to a 2. My opinion on their care remains the same! However, informing a parent at the drop of a dime at the last minute in front of other staff and customers that were was a mishap with insurance and I owe money and when can I pay. It felt a bit of an ambush and caught me off guard. I didn’t even receive any calls or texts or emails about this weird insurance mishap . It was also explained very poorly and I requested a copy of the bill to better understand and I was not provided a bill. If I had been called privately and explained to better instead of ambushing me as soon as my children got done with their procedures I would have been more understanding. To do that to someone who thought we had a great relationship and really enjoyed this clinic was a bit disrespectful and rude. Also, I asked if could still get services for the children while I sort this out and she said no. So to set me up and put me on a bind and force me to find dental care at other locations was a bit rude and snarky and not how you handle patients and their customers. We’ve never given any problems and I specifically chose this location and loved it. Kind of feels like it was done on purpose to run us out and away because we don’t look like them. Very sad. I still don’t really know how to handle the situation because I can’t get any clear answers or explanations or proof of charges . Making it difficult for me to now call around again to look for another pediatric dentist is time consuming and a bit difficult for a big family.

Fantastic experience: My kid just had his first cavity removed and he said he didn't feel a thing! The staff is so friendly, they explain everything before they do it, and he was super relaxed and wants to go back. Highly recommend!

Fantastic experience: My daughter has been coming here for years and we have always had the best experience. The dentists and front desk staff are always so kind and always make sure my daughter feels safe and calm. She said loves going to the dentist! Thats a huge win for me as a parent!

Fantastic experience: Amazing experience! From the frost desk all the way to the doctor! The nurses were so nice and patient with my child who is terrified of the dentist. The dentist themselves was also super patient and everyone was very good at explaining everything.

Fantastic experience: We’ve had great experiences at the Eastlake location. The environment is calm, the waiting room is nice and tidy. They’re good at making anxious patients feel somewhat comfortable (books in the waiting area, TVs on the ceiling w/ patients movie of choice, drs clearly explain everything in easy-to-understand ways.) I appreciate how attentive the staff is. But its also the little things (like getting to pick a sticker + a toy at the end) that make it extra special! Highly recommend.

Fantastic experience: My kids are obsessed with this place because the staff treat them like friends, not just clients. One of my kids has autism, and the dental assistants are extremely patient with her and make sure she's comfortable throughout the entire visit. They also did amazing with my 7 month old on her first visit. Overall very pleased with Coastal Kids Dentistry

Fantastic experience: My daughter had to get some fillings done recently. The staff and dentist explained everything that was gonna happen step-by-step to me, as well as my daughter in terms that she can understand. The office was very kid friendly with games and books geared all towards kids. My daughter is excited to go to the dentist. Donnie negative that I can say is I wish they took adults lol

Fantastic experience: Great staff and experience. We initially took our kiddo to a popular “kid-friendly” dentist (we all know which one) in the area, and it was pretty horrible. We were recommended by a friend here, and I can attest they are welcoming, friendly and professional.

Fantastic experience: This is such a great pediatric dentist. They are so great with children, especially making this a calm and enjoyable experience. The staff, nurses and dentist are amazing. They provide excellent care, dental advise, answered every question and addressed every concern I brought up about my son's dental development. Highly recommend!

Positive experience: Although the team is very nice and friendly. There was no communication in regards to what work or procedures my granddaughter needed, they just took her to the back and did not inform me of anything. I had to ask the front desk what was going on with my granddaughter, that’s only 13. The front desk did not know either. The receptionist had to go ask the dentist because they had not received the paperwork neither. Kind of odd that the parent is not asked to come with or the dentist did not inform me of what was needed to be worked on before anything.

Communication is excellent, from reminders to the easy pre-check-in process through their website. Appointments run on time, and my kids are always called in promptly. The team treats patients with outstanding care, making each visit a positive experience. My kids actually enjoy going to the dentist, which says a lot! Fantastic experience: I really want to thank Coastal kids for having an awesome staff. We first met with Dr. Sam. He very polite, professional and made my 4yr old daughter comfortable with the exam. My babygirl had to have a lot of work done that needed IV sedation which made me very nervous. The day of the appt Chelsea explained everything and even went to go check my babygirl every 15- 20min just so I would be at ease. Dr. Mark was great, he went over everything that was going to happen and also made sure that I was okay. Dr. Phan was also awesome. He explained everything thoroughly and even walked us out to the car and made sure we were okay. I want to thank all of you again for taking care of my babygirl and making this nervous dad feel at ease. -Armel G.

Fantastic experience: Our family is so grateful to find a wonderful dental office this Eastlake Coastal Kids Dentistry. Not only are the staff incredibly kind and professional, the space is also modern, streamlined, clean and incredibly welcoming for everyone. Our toddler has been loving his appointments (especially the part where he can pick a few prizes at the end) and for that we are thankful! I highly recommend any parent / family to take their kiddos here as soon as you can because they truly care and always offer a positive experience.

Fantastic experience: I took both my little ones ages 5 and 2 on 1/16. It was our first time at the office and I was impressed by the whole experience! I loved the vibe of the office and staff. My kids were nervous but eventually they warmed up, thanks to their staff. I appreciate their time in answering my questions.

Fantastic experience: This pediatric dental office is the best! The staff is helpful and attentive, the modern waiting area is stylish yet comfortable, and the bright vanity mirrors are just lovely. TVs on the ceiling playing your kids favorite movies are a nice touch, and the doctors explain treatment plans clearly and interact wonderfully with patients. The best part? After the visit, patients get to pick a small toy (sometimes 2!) and a sticker as well. Thoughtful, professional, AND kid-friendly—highly recommend!

Fantastic experience: We absolutely love Eastlake Coastal Kids Dentistry & Orthodontics! It’s a 1 stop shop with the best Pediatric Dentists and Orthodontist. The assistants and frontdesk staff are always so polite, professional, and knowledgeable. What I love most is the Dentists are honest and does not attempt to make up unnecessary treatment for extra money. I worked in Dentistry for several years therefore I understand when Dentists are saying something that’s not needed. I stopped taking my daughter to a well known Dental office in the area because of that very reason. I highly recommend this Dental clinic!!!

Positive experience: My kids love coming here!! Amazing staff amazing dentist!! The only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars is because it’s almost impossible to get appointment's. I had to reschedule an appointment for my kids and they didn’t offer a future appointment or anything,I was basically told oh well so I had to literally be checking the online scheduling and even then I am waiting until April for my kids to get seen!! Other than that everything is great.

Fantastic experience: We had such a great experience at Coastal Kids Dentistry & Orthodontics! My 8-year-old and 5-year-old loved it so much they didn’t want to leave. The TVs on the ceiling are pure genius—it made the whole visit so fun for them. My 16-month-old wasn’t having it, but the team was amazing and made the exam super quick, which I really appreciated. Everyone was so friendly and patient, and now my older kids keep asking when their next check-up is! Highly recommend this office for anyone looking for a kid-friendly and stress-free dental visit.

Fantastic experience: Ok experience. The billing department could use improvement . I had lots of issues with the clinic submitted all the correct documents to the insurance. I had to be on top of them. Would be more convenient if they scheduled orthopedic appointment more days out of the week. Currently they only schedule on Fridays therefore it is difficult to schedule especially if you have to reschedule. The office itself is really clean and kid friendly. The staff is friendly but my child and myself have experienced inappropriate gossip between staff while working on my child. My daughter had her braces done here so we visited the office many times over the last 3 years. I would bring her back for regular dentist work since she likes the Tv on the ceiling while getting worked on and the office setting is more inviting then other dentists office.

The team was welcoming, but I especially want to commend our dental assistant for going above and beyond to make my child’s visit a positive one. Fantastic experience: We had an amazing first visit! Everyone was so patient and kind. My eldest gets nervous and likes to know what's going on and they took the time to explain . They talked to him instead of at him like our previous dentist. Took their time and talked woth us instead of just rushing from patient to patient. It was very clean and inviting. They didn't push for unnecessary procedure and made sure as the parent I was comfortable with everything they were doing. I'm so glad we found this place my kids are already asking when they can go back!

Fantastic experience: This dental clinic was recommended to me by my sister and i would say is one of the best I've seen. I brought my kids here when we were on a holiday in San Diego. I have not seen a clinic this well organized with a friendly vibe. Even thought my kids were new patients, they handled my kids appointment with ease and even got them in the schedule earlier than expected. Most of the dental clinics this days would take months to get an appointment or even would not accept new patients. The dental assistants took care of my kids very well and the dentist was professional and very friendly towards my kids and myself and aswered all my questions with ease. I would highly recommend this clinic to fellow military service members that has kids around the area.

Fantastic experience: Every staff member here was nothing short of fantastic. My 6 year old had major dental work done under anesthesia. The front desk staff was helpful and welcoming and didn’t shame us when we were a little late for getting lost. Dr. Kim took the time to explain to both my husband and I (on separate occasions) all the work needed and why on a level we could understand. Dr Phan was incredibly kind and patient with my nervous and weeping 6 year old and made it an extremely positive experience for her to be put under. She was so brave thanks to his encouragement .

Fantastic experience: perfect place for children on the spectrum! I never find myself over explaining for my son or about my son, the entire office understands! Its a great feeling when you can go into a dental office and feel at ease and even though they keep you smiling literally they also educate you as a parent and make you aware of what exactly is going on with your children's teeth i also never feel like I'm there too long, they are so timely! I Love it! And the entire staff from front to back are very exceptional at customer service and being kind! Kudos to this office always!

Fantastic experience: My Coastal Kids Dentistry experiences have always been amazing!! The staff is fully competent and super friendly. My daughter’s services includes general dental work and orthodontics. Dental work isn’t always fun but this office makes it as enjoyable as possible.

They don’t force them into getting any work done or any check up if they are fussing around. Dr Sam is incredible with them and the entire staff is friendly and patient.

The experience here is as enjoyable as it gets! friendly faces as soon as you walk in the door. The dental assistants are great and the dentist is awesome! after 1 visit we have definitely found our kids dentists and will recommend to everyone.

Fantastic experience: My 6-year-old son is Autistic and actually doesn't mind going to the dentist. He'd rather go to the dentist than the doctor! They did AMAZING with him and were extremely kind, patient, and accommodating. They play movies on the roof and have headphones the kids can hear the movie with. At the end they get to pick a little prize. My son actually came home and told everyone about how he had fun at the dentist! I never thought I’d see the day where a kid is actually happy to go to the dentist. I couldn’t recommend them more!!

Fantastic experience: The office staff are very patient and knowledgeable. The dental assistants are very caring toy 5 year old and 2 year old. As a former dental assistant and used to work for a famous pediatric dental clinic in Eastlake, I know the procedures and rules. This pediatric dental takes good care of their patients. They care more of quality they provide to their patients and not quantity. Rather than going to a famous dentist and you don't get the satisfaction you deserve. We came in with an appointment for 6 month routine check up and the waiting period was less than 5 minutes. Other dental clinics don't call you after 30 plus minutes even though you have an appointment. The clinic is tidy and clean. They have T.V. laminated on the ceiling so that way your children can look up while doing the procedure. Also, they give your children some stickers and toys after. Very happy with this location. I definitely recommend them.

Fantastic experience: I’m pleased to write a review for Eastlake Coastal Kids Dentistry & Orthodontics. I have a son who I have been bringing since 2-3 years ago. The experience that I and my son have been receiving at this facility has not only been super positive and excellent but it has brought my son peace and comfort in every single appointment no kid likes the dentist and the presentation when you walk in is super kid friendly and fun the kids can walk into a colorful dentist and wait while they have Disney movies playing. Then, so far at every appointment I have been called immediately, I’m assuming depending on how busy they are. They walk you through more colorful ways and they lay them and the dentist and assistants are just so friendly and good with kids! The moment they start the procedure the kids are provided with glasses once they lay above the ceiling they find themselves with a movie and lastly they are so consistent they make sure they contact you to check in and check out for your appointments.

Drs and staff make the whole process from start to end an amazing experience for my daughters even with treatment ,as any other parent we were worried about how our girls would behave but the whole staff is SO GOOD WITH KIDS! It’s so refreshing to come here and it’s always a breeze ,I never have to worry about a thing! I appreciate the Drs and staff so much ,thank you from the bottom of my heart

Fantastic experience: We have been coming here for a few years now for our son’s dental care. They are just amazing! Very kind understanding and great with kids. They greet your child first by name, which makes them feel like they are more than just another patient. The dental assistants are amazing at what they do and are definitely the heart of the practice! If you are looking for a dental office that is worth every penny of your hard earned money with great customer service this is definitely the place. Parking is easy. Genuinely happy parent here!

My child used to be incredibly anxious about dental visits, but the staff at Coastal Kids completely changed the game. They have such a warm and welcoming environment, and they really go the extra mile to make kids feel comfortable. From the bright and cheerful decor to the friendly and patient staff, everything is designed to put kids at ease. They even have sedation options available if needed. My child now actually looks forward to their dental appointments! On top of the amazing atmosphere, the dental care itself is top-notch. The dentists are clearly experienced and knowledgeable, and they take the time to explain everything to both the child and the parent. They offer a wide range of services, from routine checkups and cleanings to orthodontics and Invisalign. We are so grateful to Coastal Kids Dentistry for making dental care a positive experience for our child. Fantastic experience: Our last visit with Angela and Dr. Sam was awesome. This was my daughter’s second visit and they really helped her feel comfortable. Both went with the flow and improvised. This meant letting her sit where she preferred and introducing the cleaning tools so she knew exactly what they’d be used for. After this, she relaxed and was more trusting. Looking forward to more visits since she left this one happy and excited to see the dentist!

My kids did very good they were very trusting of everyone. From the front office to the back office, everyone was very warm and welcoming. Doctor Sam was great! He explained everything very thoroughly to myself and to my kids ,letting them in on what was going on, no hidden agenda anywhere. We will definitely be back! Update. We are back, 6 months later!
