Positive experience: I definitely wish I could give it more than 3 but I waited over 45 mins for an appointment that only took 5 minutes. I realize that things do fall behind but some clarity and responsibility for telling me that they were behind would have been nice since I run on a very tight schedule just like everyone else. Negative experience: I have been a patient at Vacaville Dental Group for 27 years, long before it became Vacaville Dental Group. Throughout those years, I've always appreciated the quality of care from the dental team. I genuinely like the dentists, Jennifer is an outstanding hygienist, and Jessica and Mia in the front office have always been wonderful to work with. Unfortunately, since the transition to Vacaville Dental Group, management has changed several times, and the overall patient experience has declined significantly. The biggest issue is appointment scheduling and wait times. For decades, I rarely waited more than a few minutes for an appointment. Now, it seems routine to wait 30 minutes, typically longer. Today was the final straw. My 6 year old daughter had a cleaning scheduled for 9:30 AM, and I had a cleaning scheduled for 10:00 AM. After waiting about 10 minutes, I let Mia know that I had an 11:30 meeting and needed to stay on schedule. She assured me we would be out on time. By 9:55 AM, neither my daughter nor I had been called back. While sitting in the waiting room, I received a text notification stating that my daughter's appointment had been moved to 10:30 AM. At that point, we had already been waiting for over 30 minutes. When I questioned the delay, the new front office manager argued with me and insisted my daughter's appointment had always been scheduled for 10:00 AM, not 9:30 AM. I had text message confirmation showing the original 9:30 appointment time. Rather than acknowledging the scheduling change, she dismissed my concerns and made it seem as though I was mistaken. The interaction felt dishonest, unprofessional, and incredibly frustrating. After 27 years as patients, my husband, my children, my mother, and I have decided to take our business elsewhere. It's disappointing because most of the clinical staff remains excellent, but poor management and a lack of accountability have completely changed the experience. I truly hope Vacaville Dental Group improves its management practices because the dental team deserves better support than what patients are currently experiencing. I'm giving 2 stars to save some face for the current staff who has always been great. My 6 year old even wants to be a dentist one day because she loves Jennifer so much.

Positive experience: The care provided continues to be excellent even after 15 years, However, the front office has been inconsistent of late. I shouldn't be told at time of checkout that my dental insurance is no longer being accepted. A professional courtesy like a text or a phone call ahead of the appointment should be a business priority made in advance.

Positive experience: My bi-annual exam and cleaning was yesterday and I was asked to submit a review. My hygienist Jen is the best hygienist, always thorough and she truly cares about her patients. I did not like the fact that she had to ask me about wanting an iTero scan to be evaluated for Orthodontics. I can understand if you were asked if you are interested in treatment, but it should be approached as an available option. I have been in this industry for over 30 years with most of those years in Orthodontics. In my professional opinion no one should have Orthodontic treatment in a general dental office. There is a reason dentists continue their education to become Orthodontists. My “4” Star Review is not a reflection of my hygienist Jen, the front office staff Jessica & Mia or Dr. Vijay Chopra, DDS, they deserve “5” stars!!!. The changes made by the “corporation “ that bought out this previous private practice took away the community feeling it once had. It’s unfortunate that several previous employees have left for other offices due to corporate regulations and other management practices.

Fantastic experience: First off, the staff is great. However in 2024, my insurance was billed and paid for a lower partial. When it came in from the lab, it was too large for my mouth and didn’t fit. It was sent back again and again, but after three separate times to make it fit, it never did. I was never even given the partial, even though the insurance had paid big bucks for it. The dentist at the time was Dr. Jackman. He retired and I have seen the new Dentist, Dr Chopra who recommends that I still need a lower partial. Mia explained I couldn’t get one because the insurance had already paid for the failed one in 2024. So now I am still empty handed and have nothing to show for what the insurance paid for and still need the partial.
