Fantastic experience: Great office and staff; lots of laughs. Professional, relaxing atmosphere. Although, I am still going to give office for now 5 stars (mostly due to Dr. Matt) and original review; wondering if anyone else has experienced (specifically with billing person) untimely claims. When I follow up (and you have to follow up) I am told it was "missed". What? So 2 weeks later, claim was sent to Delta. When I inquire how it was missed; I am told, "I don't know." It has now been 6 weeks after appointment with no indication claim is received. This is not an isolated incident; it has happened twice maybe three times. Word of mouth is everything; I have a co-worker who has been going to Sunset Dental for over 12 years; speaks highly of them. I am considering switching but it stinks because I really like Dr. Matt. I was also a patient of his Dad, Dr. Kuzma for years. Perhaps, it would be easier to either teach the medical biller to process claims timely or find someone who can do the job. If this keeps happening; Dr.Matt may start to lose patients. I will give the office one more chance with the request to confirm the claim was processed the same day as appointment; if not, will look into Sunset Dentist. Thank you, Donna

Positive experience: Since the switch of the Delta Dental insurance process, I was asked to make a payment prior to dental service; while I have personally witnessed others being asked for payment after the dental service. I've been coming here since 2008. I did not appreciate how I was made to feel. The dental tech and dentist was awesome!

Fantastic experience: Dr. Kuzma and his staff were amazing yesterday when I took my Mom for her appointment. She is almost 90, and was very nervous about going to an appointment with a new dentist. She was immediately put at ease by the friendly and professional staff. Dr. Kuzma was so kind, and took time to explain everything regarding her care. She said he was definitely in the right profession, and was perfect for it. He made her feel comfortable and special. Brandon was also very professional and kind with her. He made sure to take the time necessary to do her scans and get good results. We truly appreciate everyone there for making her experience positive, and look forward to our next visit. Fantastic experience: Dr. Kuzma is a great pro. Kind and takes the time to explain everything. I believe he offers all options and then helps you decide which is best for you and your budget. I had a crown break and based on consultation with Dr. Kuzma, decided to have an implant. The old tooth's root needed to come out and, while that took a bit of effort, I was left with a smooth gum line, a few sutures and about 6 to 8 hours of soreness that OTC meds easily handled. The staff is great and very attentive. The office itself is nicely appointed. Unlike most dentists or medical offices I truly appreciate being able to look out a window as opposed to a wall or picture.

Fantastic experience: Nobody “wants to go to the dentist to get a tooth pulled”, but when ya gotta go, go see Dr Matt Kuzma in Fairfield Ca. I had a tooth that went south and the only choice was to pull it. Dr Matt Kuzma, was careful, patient and made sure I was comfortable with what was gonna happen to my bad molar. The tooth was a bit out a mess, but Dr Kuzma got it out with minimal pain on my part. His tech was very helpful and insured I had my follow care plan in hand when I went home. Woke up this morning with no pain. Go see Dr Matt Kuzma if you live in Solano County

Positive experience: I really miss the old staff and Dr. Kuzma senior. While waiting in the lobby it’s unnerving to hear the staff discussing billing issues with patients. There were only golf magazines available. Brandy the hygienist is friendly and efficient. I come every 3-4 months to have my teeth cleaned at my own expense. I don’t like the attempts to have me pay for unnecessary exams and films. The new office seems so interested in billable services that they have forgotten patient relationships.

Negative experience: During my consultation I was told Dr. Kuzma does gum grafting. I found them on my insurance’s webpage. The website states he performs “Gingival Graft” however during my second consultation I was told by Dr. Kuzma he no longer does Gum grafting. He referred me to someone else and told me the front desk would call for me. 5 days later I followed up, the front desk had not called so they reached out. I received a call shortly after and found that the company is not under my insurance. Perhaps take off “Gingival Graft” from your webpage or tell people in the initial consultation that you do not do gum grafting. A lot of work to end up back at the start.

Fantastic experience: I have been going to Kuzma dentistry for 20 or more years always having a great experience. I never feared going there. Then I moved and had several cases of bad experiences with a few different dentists. I moved back here and immediately went back to Kuzma, now with some anxiety over what I have been through. I get there for teeth cleaning and I had Heather. It was once again a very pleasant experience. They are all so kind and thoughtful and truly have your best interest at heart. Always making sure you are ok and comfortable. Dr. Kuzma himself is very kind, compassionate and understanding. Thank you Kuzma DDS for restoring my faith in the dentistry world again.

Period. . He came highly recommended by my mom and grandma, who are known by a first name basis there. I have had sever dental anxiety in the past. I need a lot of work done, and that is a major part of what causes the anxiety. Dr. Matt and Crystal are so compassionate and as busy as they are, took time to make sure I was ok with everything. The work that has been started, has yet to be completed so I will come back for an update. An impression was made in a big way which is why I feel compelled to write this review ahead of the work to be completed. If you’re looking for quality, Dr Matt Kuzma and his team are the ones to go to! 100%

Fantastic experience: After I had my two boys my teeth took a toll and life got expensive and I didn’t go to the dentist like I should have. Dentist are expensive and I was busy raising my kids and paying for braces etc for my two boys. I was really nervous about seeing a dentist and I found out about doc Kuzma and went to him and he answered all my questions. I felt relaxed for the first time when going to a dentist. My total is $17,000 but they will work with me on payment and that is HUGE for me!!!! I will take a picture when they are done and another review.

Fantastic experience: It’s taken me some time to get back into my oral health routine with seeing a dentist, during my pediatric years I actually had Rolling Hills Dental (Dr. Garcia); I went through countless Google searches for a good office, I looked in Walnut Creek, Vacaville, Napa, etc. As with any doctor/office you want to feel as if you can “grow with them”— despite all the upfront 5 start reviews for most places, the underlying reviews all pointed back to the same issues: upselling, lack of patient relations, and doctors not providing comprehensive care. I grazed over this office a few times then finally said you know what, I’ll trust it. VERY happy I did! I had sudden tooth pain that happened overnight, I called this office next day and they found me a spot quickly! The receptionist are so warm and friendly, I believe their names are Darlene & Irene who’s taken most of my calls, but she’s is an absolute sweetheart. The other thing I was concerned about was affordability, as I am waiting for my insurance benefits to kick in— they worked with me 100% and did not make me feel excluded. The office is quiet, clean, and reminds me of walking into more of a real estate/interior decorating office (like RH). Dr. Anna is a GEM in her field, she told me exactly what I needed, which was quite a few fillings, and even found out that there were findings in the x-ray that did not match what she was seeing physically so she didn’t do any unnecessary work. During the filling procedure her dental assistant was bubbly, comforting, and patient- I had natural nerves because, well— dental work! Dr. Anna answered every single one of my questions, explained each process, and finished in a timely manner even while having patients after me. I also had some late night pain/discomfort that I wasn’t sure about, and she answered my emergency call within 15 minutes. It’s wonderful to meet doctors who care about people first, it shows in their demeanor and in their work. I went ahead and recommended her to my husband and I’m hoping we have for certain found our ongoing dentist!

Fantastic experience: THE BEST!!!!!! He has the most soothing voice. He makes me feel like everything is going to be okay. If I'm stressing or frustrated, just listening to him calms me down. I love this guy. I know he cares about me and my smile. If you need any kind of dental work go to Dr. Kuma. He will take care of you! Now the rest of the staff, what can I say. They're GREAT very respectful, kind, and supportive. When you walk in your home with family.

We never felt uninformed, or that we were inconvenienced or just another payday! We truly felt Dr. Kuzma cared, and wanted to help! We've spent so long looking for a dentist familiar with calcification and treating it. Dr. Kuzma was never judgmental, or rude as other dentists have been. The prices, appointment time, and overall care was 10/10! We will never see another dentist, and we will be referring this office from now on! Dr. Kuzma 10/10 (knowledge, experience, bedside, and procedure) Staff (ease of office) 10/10 .

Negative experience: I was quite impressed at my consultation on 12/5/24, Unfortunately the processing of benefits & what occurred after that was beyond acceptable. I gave my insurance info (two full coverages) to this office 3 times, only to be asked for it again later! Crystal said she would process my benefits the following day,12/6/24 and would call me with an update on 12/06/2024 about payment plans, (knowing I would lose $3000.00 of benefits on Dec 31) I was then contacted AGAIN asking for my insurance information! I never received any calls from Crystal at all! I continually called & no one knew what was being done with my info & they would have Crystal contact me. That NEVER happened! I checked with my insurance daily, nothing was submitted! The office kept saying Crystal was handling if & she would contact me! She never did! Finally on Dec 18th, my insurance claim was submitted, what’s worse it wax horribly incomplete! In order to use my benefits it would have had to be complete, so I have now lost $3,000.00 of benefits putting my confidence & trust into this office. I will be pursuing legal reimbursement, and unfortunately I cannot give this office a good recommendation!

Negative experience: I had dental implants, all on 4 by Dr Kuzma. He had problems trying to make temporary's that would fit. I moved on elsewhere and was told that the implants were placed wrong, by two different professionals that do implants regularly! Don't let him do that to you!
