I have hereditarily bad teeth, and horrible TMJ, to the point where 1 year ago I couldn’t open my mouth wide enough to brush my teeth. Because of their kindness, thoroughness, and understanding, now I have no cavities and can chew again!! I’m so so so grateful to be lucky enough to work with them.

Very easy to schedule and they even accommodated me with the 2 times I had to reschedule my cleaning appointment. Fantastic experience: I was genuinely quite anxious ahead of my first root canal, both physically and emotionally apprehensive about the experience. Dr. Oza truly knocked it out of the park. He was exceptionally gentle, particularly with the anaesthetic, and took the time to explain each step in the procedure as it unfolded. Had a few unexpected laughs during the procedure, which made what could have been a daunting experience feel far more manageable. His assistant was really efficient and attentive as well. I am glad that this was the team that got me through this.

Negative experience: Doctor and assistant were great, but the front office person tried to charge me for X Rays after I repeatedly asked if the whole procedure (including X Rays) would be covered by insurance, and they confirmed.

Fantastic experience: Pretty extraordinary. Definitely focused on what’s right for the patient. Efficient, high quality. And get this: I needed an urgent root canal (pain!!) and Dr Oza did it at 5pm on Christmas Eve!! Ever so grateful. And prices are reasonable and appointments available. What a dental practice should be. Highest recommendation.

Negative experience: Avoid this clinic at all costs! The dentists were extremely pushy about treatment and repeatedly pressured me to proceed with procedures I was not comfortable with. When I refused treatment, instead of respecting my decision or discussing alternatives, I was abruptly discharged. What made it worse was being charged exorbitant consultation fees despite not receiving any meaningful care or treatment. The experience felt transactional and coercive rather than patient-centered. If you value transparent communication, informed consent, and respectful treatment decisions, I strongly recommend looking elsewhere.

Negative experience: Extremely rushed, painful, and traumatic cleaning. Avoid this clinic at all costs. I would not recommend this dental clinic to my worst enemy. If you are a new patient looking for routine cleaning or X-rays, run for your life. I came in today as a new patient for a routine exam and cleaning. The entire cleaning took under 15 minutes total, yet somehow resulted in significant pain, active bleeding, and visible gum inflammation, especially along my lower front teeth. I do have gum recession（due to genetics), but I have always kept my oral health under control. I have never experienced this level of trauma during a dental cleaning in my life. This pain was not due to poor oral hygiene—it was clearly caused by aggressive, careless handling of my gum line. During the rushed 15-minute cleaning: There were no meaningful check-ins about pain or discomfort The provider did not slow down despite obvious distress There was zero adjustment of technique Seven hours after the visit, my gum line is still visibly red and inflamed, clearly from external trauma, not normal post-cleaning sensitivity. What makes this worse is that the cleaning was both painful and incomplete. It felt rushed, careless, and unprofessional. Even knowing that I have gum disease, the provider showed no caution, no patience, and no concern for doing the procedure safely. Dental care should never feel this brutal, especially for a routine cleaning. I deeply regret coming here and will not be returning. Save yourself the pain and go literally anywhere else. P.S. One more thing that left a very bad impression: I was asked to leave a Google review immediately after the visit. Seeing this, it makes the overwhelmingly positive reviews here feel highly misleading and not reflective of the actual quality of care.

Fantastic experience: I called multiple dental offices for a quote on an exam and cleaning.. at Folsom Dental it was only $200 for both, which is so good! I booked a same day appointment for 3:00pm and got my teeth examined and cleaned. The front desk staff was really patient and so were the other staff. Dr. Patel & his assistant did an amazing job. They were very kind and gentle. Thank you so much. Definitely coming back.

Negative experience: Poor communication on billing and services. I’ve gone to them many times and on several instances have been quite frustrated with service and quality of service. The final straw was when I had a permanent retainer taken out, and they left the top one in, even though it was loose and it then cut into my mouth later, which caused me to have to come in for an emergency. Fine for general things, but I’m going to a different provider now

Negative experience: I’m really disappointed with this place. I booked my appointment well in advance and sent all my updated insurance info, including photos of my card 5 days before the visit. On the day of the appointment, they suddenly told me they still had my old insurance on file and needed to “verify” the new one, which meant I’d have to pay out of pocket and maybe get reimbursed at some unknown time. This isn’t the first time either. The exact same thing happened to me back in 2024. Two separate visits, same issue. At that point it stops being a mix-up and starts being a pattern. I ended up walking out because I’m not risking a surprise bill for something I made absolutely clear ahead of time. Really frustrating experience and definitely not the level of professionalism I expect from a dental office.

Fantastic experience: I’ve had a lot of negative dental experiences, but everyone here (from the front desk to the technicians to the hygienists and assistants) were incredibly kind, soft spoken, and patient. Dr. Patel was incredible and explained everything that was happening as it was happening.

Negative experience: I had a 5 star review before, and this is why they lost three stars. I had two fillings appointment and one was great, the other not so much. I was feeling pain like if there was still some space bacteria could enter my tooth. I explained to them and they said “it could just be sensitive tooth”. Well it wasn’t. Turns out they didn’t properly filled it and it turned into a bigger mess as it turned into a deep cavity so I had to make another appointment, again. Fast forward I get it done and is okay, it feels properly done now. This is where the problem comes. They expected me to pay an extra $150 because “this procedure was not covered by your insurance because you already used all your cover”!!! Like I don’t understand why I was still getting charged $150 AFTER the refund for the first tooth fill($240 total!!). I feel like they could’ve talk with the insurance about their mistake and to void the first fill, but they hustled and charged me the extra $150 and since I was already in the office I had nothing else but accept it. I appreciate how welcoming the place feels, but is very frustrating that when it comes to money talk then is you vs them. I am still going to be a patient here, but if something bad happens again I will update this review as a reminder.

Fantastic experience: This was my first visit to this dental office and I was happy with my visit. Every staff member I met was friendly and welcoming. They saw me right away and were incredibly efficient — even with it being my first appointment (including X-rays, exam, cleaning, and polish), I was in and out in about an hour. The whole experience was smooth and comfortable.

They are very professional and made me feel at ease. I’m usually very anxious when it comes to going to the dentist but they made it really easy and made sure I felt comfortable throughout the procedure. I would recommend Folsom Street Dental, 100%. They are open 7 days and can also took my last minute emergency appointment.

Fantastic experience: I saw Dr. Singh for my first appointment at Folsom Dental for an exam and cleaning. Dr. Singh was very thorough and kind. The office also has plenty of appointment availability including weekend appointments, which made scheduling very easy for my busy work schedule.

Negative experience: I stopped going to this dentist because they tried to force unnecessary procedures on me. On my first visit they told me I needed to come back to have multiple cavities filled. I stated that I preferred to monitor rather than fill them. (Since they were small and nowhere near the root.) On the next visit they again told me the same thing and that I needed a root canal. I again said I preferred to monitor, and they made me sign a document stating that I was refusing to follow their recommendations. Fast forward one year later to today, when I visited a new dentist. No root canal needed. My new dentist also advised that no action was needed for my cavities and we should just monitor them. Shame on Folsom Street Dental. If they haven’t received any disciplinary action for their improper and unethical practices, they should.

I heard a tip once that you should find your dentist through an endodontist since they see the dental work in the area and know who does a good job - which is how I found Dr. Setia and Folsom Street Dental! Been coming here for years, they’re reliable, staff is kind, have flexible hours, and accept lots of insurances. Highly recommend! I also recently had an accident that resulted in some broken teeth and they were able to squeeze me in for an appt that day, as well as walk through my options and explain what was happening.

Negative experience: I pondered for a few days before deciding to write this review. I came in to change out my front two teeth fillings and fix a chip in my tooth. My last trigger resulted in this review… well, my chip tooth fillings FELL OUT AFTER 3 DAYS! Wait time: waited for 45 mins to be seen Bedside manners: dentist was super cold, immediately went in for the numbing that hurt so much. The most painful I’ve ever felt, the numbing went all the way up my mid nose. When she was done, she didn’t even said a formal “we’re done”. I was confused. I had mentioned my TMJ issues in my consultation and not once during the 45 mins procedure did she ask if I was ok or needed a rest Quality of care: their control of water is OUT OF CONTROL. At one point, I thought I was having a full on facial. They don’t bother to help me wipe my face or my neck! The water sprayed ALL THE WAY to my forehead for a good minute. Clearly, this happens all the time so they weren’t fazed by the water fountain action. Oh and I did mention the tooth chip filling came off! I know they are busy and I know we are just a number or cheque, that’s ok too cos many patients may not care about such conditions. But I’m writing this review for those who may care about the quality of service and care. I know there are many of us with dental anxiety, so sadly this will not be your place and this is my honest review.

Fantastic experience: As a tourist on holidays with an emergency tooth problem I can recommend Folsom Street Dental with all my heart. My treatment was professional, everything was clearly explained to me, I received all the required documentation so I didn’t have any problems with insurance back at home. Thanks to wonderful team at Folsom Street Dental my stay wasn’t ruined. Thank you, you’re the best!

Negative experience: This was the worst dentist office I have ever visited. The office is dirty and equipment is very outdated. I also watched the Xray tech touch equipment with a gloved hand and not wipe it down. I was the only patient there and it took 1.5 hours for my appointment. The cleaning itself was extremely sub-par, and it was clear the dentist did not know how to professionally provide a clinical summary to a patient and even questioned her own review of my X-rays. There was obvious tension between the dentist and hygienist that made it very awkward as a patient. Overall this dentist office was awful and I will not return. I don’t understand the multiple 5star reviews for this facility.
