Fantastic experience: If you’re looking to get an extraction done, this is absolutely the practice to choose. I came in on Wednesday as a new patient for a cleaning, and during the visit we discovered that my wisdom teeth were impacting my other teeth. Dr. Khosh was able to get me scheduled for an extraction that same Friday, which was incredibly impressive. The extraction itself was painless, quick, and done with great care. Dr. Khosh is an excellent doctor and the entire staff is just as outstanding from the front desk to the hygienist and dental assistants. Everyone was so attentive, professional, and made me feel comfortable throughout the entire process. The office is also very beautiful and new! I couldn’t recommend a better place to receive dental care, especially for extractions.

Fantastic experience: I had an emergency situation where I broke my implant the night before, and I called this dental office first thing in the morning. They managed to fit me in within 20 minutes of my call, which was amazing. They did a fantastic job fixing my implant quickly and professionally. Highly recommend them!

Negative experience: Overpriced, the dentist is pushy and impolite while being hard to understand, the staff in general try to pressure you HARD to get procedures done (I assume they earn commission or some such insane thing). They also caused my bite to be lopsided and painful with rough and jagged surfaces on the teeth. They seem to not be very careful overall at their jobs and desperate to sell services. ALSO they keep sending me emails and cards after I requested removal from all of their lists! Don't go here!!!

Fantastic experience: Yesterday, I spent the day with Dr. Kosh and his staff. It was a long awaited day for me with lots of fears and apprehension. The ten teeth that I had left were in very bad shape to the point of limiting my social activities and especially my smile. Something had to be done. I got past my fears and anxieties with the help of Dr. Kosh and his personable staff. I am very glad I did.

Negative experience: Tried to charge me $700 for a new member consultation lol. Then they offered me $200 off which somehow comes out to $480 by their math. This is just for a cleaning/x-ray btw. Go somewhere else! Cleanings and x-rays twice a year are fully covered by almost every company sponsored insurance. Wonder where that $480 goes to!

Positive experience: Went in for a professional opinion about why my new dentures were causing the lower gum to swell up. Very pleased that I was able to secure an appointment the next day. X-rays were taken and had a long wait for the dentist. While Dr. Kosh was very thorough in his assessment, his opinion was that my dentures were poorly made by Richmond Dental. After much discussion it was decided that he couldn't be sure the lower prosthetic would sit comfortably on my implants. He wanted to do a CAT scan to see how the implants were secured. Another 400 dollars. I decided that another option was needed, as I was directed to get a new set at Montgomery Street Dental at a cost of over ten thousand dollars. While I understand that it is a business, I seem to be upsold at every encounter with a dentist. I'm sure he is a fantastic dentist, I just wish I could afford to use him.

Fantastic experience: My first time at a dentist’s office since November before pandemic lockdown, and I am very happy to find a practice that is very modern and all about prevention. UPDATE: I returned for a few fillings. Two were on my lower front teeth. They look so pretty now that I’m surprised every time I look in the mirror. I’m especially impressed that Dr. does not just bark instructions to his assistants. Instead, he explains and shares information about the process like a teacher or mentor. That’s paying it forward and so awesome.

Negative experience: My mouth still feels a little violated after my appointment I went in to get a filling for a cavity. Once it was done, the dentist told me that he filled it and also removed something else and filled it. I was never given the warning or just heads up with “here’s what I’m going to do with your teeth and not at all what we discussed and agreed to at the start of the appointment “ I walked away with a really uncomfortable feeling from the appointment and have processed it as violation They did something to my teeth without my consent.

Feels strange when getting your teeth done but other than that, i love the service and if your low income, i highly suggest haveing ppo since they only accsept ppo insurance so make sure your being paid at least 30-40 an hr before commiting to getting your dental done and you should be fine.

Negative experience: THESE MUST BE FAKE REVIEWS. This place was awful. I have never been in a more unethical/pushy office than this one was. I went to a new dentist and met someone who use to work there. She said she quit after a few months without a new job in place because she thought the dentist was completely unethical.

Fantastic experience: Love this office. I was terrified of dentists and didn't go for 10 years. I was so scared. This office made me feel calm and safe. They gave me nitrus and Valium and everything went smoothly. I'd had what I had always thought were painful of procedures, but with Dr.Ks careful work, they actually weren't so bad after all. They have an in office dental plan for those without insurance which I bought and it's paid for itself. Such a great deal. It lasts a year. If you're unsure about where to go get your teeth done, try this office. The doctor is well educated and careful. The office is clean, and the support staff is great. Thank you DrK and staff for helping me be more comfortable and confident about attending the dental office.

Positive experience: The dental work itself is fine. I had a similar experience to the other low reviews. The practice does not present options; instead, it exerts tremendous pressure toward high-cost procedures as the “only option.” After my third visit to the office, it started to seem a bit off that I had to act immediately on an expensive procedure. Out of curiosity, I sought multiple opinions and found a unanimous consensus that I did not need such drastic procedures. Fantastic experience: Great place. I came in to use my insurance before it runs out after not having been to the dentist in like 10 years. My teeth were really bad but they were able to save a lot of my rotted teeth and save me from really expensive dental work. Plus they weren’t shy with the Novacaine so I barley felt a thing.

Fantastic experience: I had an amazing experience with Dr. Khosh and his team. I needed three extractions in one session—two wisdom teeth and one main tooth, plus a bone graft. Naturally, I was nervous, but Dr. Khosh and his staff were incredibly kind and reassuring throughout the entire process. What really surprised me was that I felt absolutely no pain during the procedure. I kept waiting for the discomfort to kick in, but it never did! Even afterward, I expected severe pain or swelling, but to my surprise, I barely had any discomfort and was eating solid food just 12 hours later. Positive experience: I had high hopes for this practice since it’s located on Montgomery and everything seemed upscale on the surface, therefore I was expecting some level of quality. Dr Alireza showed with a Rolex Submariner and his work was pretty crude and hectic, he was trying to upsell me on services that I don’t need and I repeatedly refused that but he was insisting, because you can’t buy Rolexes without creating work for yourself. There was an issue with the tools because they don’t have specially sized tools, so I had to explain to him that by saving a few hundreds dollars on these tools he is creating a bad experience for the clientele. Also the wall in the room had multiple holes from what I’m assuming moving the whiteboard. The outline stains from the whiteboard were pretty dirty which means that it’s been like this for a couple months. Fixing these hole would require asking another specialist and I’m not sure it wasn’t done. Everything in gold and then such a miss in details. Cost cutting that results in poor quality of work. I eventually flew cross country to the JBL dental in NYC where they had all the proper tools and also fixed the filling that was installed in the office I’m reviewing at the moment. All of this tells me a hectic and fast approach to the dental work. I can’t recommend or support the methods exhibited in this practice. They did some work, so 3 stars seems pretty fair (average). Spend your money on a more predictable results somewhere else. I also was given a giant QR code to leave this review, which tells you about the quality of other reviews here.

Fantastic experience: Getting my first crown . . . Everything has gone smoothly . . . . Wow, I don’t even remember my original review for the crown. It’s been several years, and the crown has been great (I forgot that I had it). Now I am getting invisalign to straighten my teeth. Dr. Khoshvaghti is very careful and patient with getting the treatment correct.

Fantastic experience: As a healthy 24-year-old, I went to the dentist for a routine cavity fill- and found myself in the ER. A shot (the numbing agent) given to me by the doctor had sent me into anaphylactic shock. It's been 20 years and I still sweat at the sight of a dental office. I cry, get loud. PANIC!! Needless to say, any dental work since then, has ONLY been done under anesthesia. Fast forward to today (6-7-24) and 45 years old. Dr. Khoshvaghti comes into my life. He lets me know the extensive work (6 cavities, one in-lay/on-lay, one crown, and two extractions) I needed to get it done, too. I thought- “There is no way.” I'm proud to say- with the help of Dr. Khoshvaghti and his ENTIRE TEAM, I not only had all the work done- I got through it all WITHOUT anesthesia! I am not naive. I know I'm a challenging patient. But- I can now say I no longer need anesthesia. I am proof Dr. Khoshvaghti is the epitome of what a dental professional should be. *his staff = incredible!! Dr Khosh went above and beyond when he removed some ridges from the front teeth that were stained and unattractive looking. This was not requested but Dr Khosh saw an opportunity to give my partner a more beautiful smile. We are very impressed with his services and highly recommend to others looking for a dentist that gives extra special care.

Negative experience: Unfortunately I had gum damage from a cleaning here and the office didn’t provide any assistance when I reached out. They are also quite pushy for reviews which is why there are so many 5 star reviews. They also insisted I come back to show them my retainers after a cleaning which they then billed me as a separate oral exam…

Negative experience: Do not believe the reviews or come to this practice- at this point I am convinced they must be paying for fake reviews and taking down real reviews, as this practice is not above board in their processes and billing, and you will end up paying for services you did not expect or ask for. They will charge you and your insurance for “free” evaluations, and for procedures they do not ask for your consent in doing and charge you for procedures even when you explicitly ask them if these will not be charged. I am in shock that I received a massive bill 4 months after being seen for a “free evaluation” where they went right into doing oral imaging, which I explicitly asked beforehand “is this included in the free evaluation? if not, I do not want to get these” and was told “yes they will not be charged” I highly recommend avoiding this practice! It is not legal or professional the way they manipulate patients and directly trick and lie to them to get them in and then bill for procedures they said they would not bill for.

Fantastic experience: Today (8/26/24) marks a happy ending of my six months journey towards being able to enjoy my food again and to regain my natural smile. My case was complicated because it involves core buildup and correcting my bite that has gotten worse over the years. I came to Montgomery Street Dental in quest for a denture that would not feel and look like one and yet function like natural teeth. Dr. Khoshvaghti did that for me. Sadly, there was of course a lot of work that had to be done as I had a multitude of cavities but everything has been fast and efficient as well as even the endodontist that I was sent to was equally as lovely. Fantastic experience: Great quality work! Gentle, efficient and detailed from cleaning to fillings and ordering night guards. Quite pricy, though in the heart of SF, that’s to be expected. The only thing was , I felt a bit uncomfortable with how pushy with they were with their recommendations. Even though I understood and agreed with it, they are still a significant financial decisions that I usually like some time to consider and balance my budget accordingly. All and all, I appreciate Dr.Khosh and his staff and I’d recommend them. Just be make sure your insurance covers most of the costs and be clear about your financial budgets.

Fantastic experience: It was my first experience at Montgomery Street Dental and I’m so glad I found them online. First of all, I had the new patient special which saved a lot of money and allowed me to figure out what I really needed done (which ended up being a deep cleaning, oral cancer screening and replacing two old composite fillings). From reception (even my first phone call!) they were very welcoming and accommodating. I am absolutely terrified of dentists and they all remained calm even when I freaked out a little. To my credit, I did warn them, but Dr. Alireza Khoshvaghti kept me calm and numb. His assistant Abel was very nice as well. Afterwards Sheryl (?) did my deep cleaning, which was very thorough and she was as gentle as she could be. But special kudos to Veronica who made this all happen financially and did not make me feel awkward at all. Also there was another nice young man at reception who gave me a parting gift bag and was super pleasant (I did not catch his name and I’m not sure of his position-he was in scrubs). I had to return for a slight adjustment to my fillings (because my mouth had been numb the day before), and it was nice that they didn’t seem irritated or annoyed at all and just wanted the job to be done right. Thank you guys! ; )

Fantastic experience: I had my first visit to Montgomery Street Dental yesterday after receiving a mailer from them about dental implants, which I just happened to need. My experience was pleasant and positive from the first phone call. The staff is knowledgeable and kind, from Veronica at the front desk, to Abel, Dr. Kosh's dental assistant. I came in for a consultation about an implant but left with an entire plan for my dental health. Dr. Kosh was very thorough and explained everything he was doing, and he made certain I was comfortable throughout the cleaning and other work performed. They were also transparent about all future costs so that I can budget accordingly. I will be back to continue treatment.

They've asked me for a review for a long time but I wanted to wait until I actually received teeth treatment from Dr. Khoshvaghti. Fantastic experience: I was referred to Dr Khosh by my dental surgeon to put crowns on newly installed implants. The experience was positive overall: Dr Khosh is very thorough, coordinated well with the surgeon and the dental work was of high quality. One crown was done quickly, another one took more time and unfortunately both temporaries broke in the process but the final crown looks and feels very natural.

After talking to Dr. Kosh about the pros and cons of implants, and going through all of my questions (and there were a lot of them!) I finally decided to go for it. Fantastic experience: I had to run few times for proper adjustment. But overall experience is extremely satisfied. He is very friendly and professional. But I still need to see him. I would recommend and give 10 out of 10 for his professional and friendly service. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful.

Negative experience: So this is a bit of a tale and I will admit up front I have terrible credit so this is partially my fault for not being wealthy nor having been great with debt leading up to this. So I had a front tooth giving me a severe amount of pain and upon typing that into Google these guys popped up. They had the highest rating so I went with them. I would suggest reading other reviews to check for ai sounding reviews cause these guys got a ton of them. Anyway I head into the office and they put me under the x-ray and tell me pretty much what I already know, my teeth are a wreck. Then they quoted me (I'm using round figures but their prices are all odd numbers) around $380 to extract the tooth and around $680 for a bone graft. I wanted to double check those numbers but they wouldn't pull them up for me after the procedure. So we discuss financing as I have about $100 in my bank account. Mind you this was an emergency visit because I was in severe pain. After I tell them I don't have the money on me they say it's fine and that we will sign me up for a line of credit. Needless to say that does not go well. After the third company shut me down the front desk lady asks me how much I have. I respond about $100 but I open my bank statement and I show it to her saying actually I only have $77. S he then charges me $77 and takes my card to finish payment later and kicks me out of the office. It was a weird turn for an emergency visit. On my way home she calls me back and says that they've decided to waive the fee for the visit and the $77 can go towards the extraction which they will be able to do later that day. I get home and talk to a friend about the sitch. He is very concerned about the necessity of a bone graft (this is one of my front teeth) and if I want an implant later I need a bone graft. He actually says he'll pay for it so I tell him the price of the bone graft and he's fine with it. I then get back to the doctor's office and tell them about my benefactor. At that point they tell me the full cost of the extraction is $1800(?) and they run my friends card for $1400 and change just for the bone graft. As I mentioned I asked to see the price list they originally showed me but no chance of that happening so I just give up and have them take out my eye tooth. The procedure required three injections of lidocaine before I went numb and I was waiting for about an hour and a half after the first one so it had begun to wear off. The procedure was about as brutal as I can recall and required a few passes to get all of the tooth but the most unfathomable part was the suture that he put in. It is a coarse boar bristle like string that is so thick that it is literally scratching holes in my lip when I eat and talk. I have to keep a piece of gause in there to keep from getting headaches because it is both scratching and jostling the wound around and is a ridiculously bad job. Dissolvable sutures have been industry standard since the late 80s and I've got this huge string tethered to the middle of my mouth . Between the price gouging and the shitty dental work I implore you to keep looking for someone who cares about the patient, not just the paycheck. Fantastic experience: I came in for my wisdom teeth extraction and it went super smooth and quick! Both of my upper wisdom teeth were out within 2 minutes and Dr. Khosh explained every step during the procedure in detail. I barely have any post-op pain and am super satisfied with my visit!
