Negative experience: I switched to this office on my dental insurance plan because I was told they could provide me with a specialty service which would be covered under that plan. I called to make an appointment and made sure this information was correct. I go in for my appointment, and they tell me I need to come in on a different day and pay them $3000 because the service they’ll provide is an “enhanced“ version of the service covered by my plan. I am in some dental trouble so I pay half up front and schedule the next appointment. In the meantime, I find out through some research that I can get this same service covered through my ENT’s and it is fully covered by medical insurance. So I called Genesis and ask for a refund. They tell me I need to come in and fill out a form which I do. They tell me it will be 3 to 5 days to see my refund. Seven business days go by and I have no refund. So I text them and, at that point, they send me proof that they have sent in the refund, but it is dated the same day I reminded them… Not the day I filled out the form. It’s sad that of all the businesses in the United States, Genesis can take my money in 12 seconds but take two weeks to refund it. There’s something wildly unethical going on here. There are plenty of dental surgeons around. Avoid this one.
Hi Hunter,
Its important to clarify a lot of false assumptions and pretense. You contacted our clinic on very short notice due to an urgent concern you had with your oral health having discovered something specific that you anxiously wanted evaluated. Despite having a completely full schedule for the whole week, we brought you in on very short notice.
After thorough evaluation, the doctor described the possibilities of your oral health concerns and reiterated that it was not as dangerous as you initially thought and offered you a procedure to treat it. You had already mentioned that several clinics had refused to see you due to the unique and difficult nature of the procedure and were relieved that you would be able to get it completed at our clinic for definitive care and results.
Despite your claim, the fee was not $3000, it was a very specific type of procedure that was not covered by your dental insurance, and we could not use your medical insurance. The procedure cost was $2400, of which $800 was waived generously by Dr. Bagdasarian after he spoke with the other doctor that would be involved in the treatment in order to help you out further after you cited financial difficulty. Hence, the final fee was $1600. You were presented the fee of $1600 and you accepted the treatment plan and we expedited your treatment for that very same Saturday, again, despite being completely booked in order to help you out because you were anxious to have it done as soon as possible.
Then a couple days later, you called and canceled your appointment and asked for a refund because you stated you would be able to get the treatment done by ENT using your medical coverage. We had you sign the standard documentation for the refund, which includes verifying the amount as well as your identity, and the refund was submitted to the third-party merchant services to be processed. We informed you that the merchant services typically can take between 2 to 4 weeks to process and that we have no control over that.
Your initial consultation was completed at no charge to you, and the proposed treatment was discounted as much as possible to help you get it completed. When you changed your mind, what you paid was fully refunded to you.
It’s astounding that you still have a complaint about the overall circumstances when we accommodate you at every step of the way while you milked our expertise for your own peace of mind.
Your ENT being able to utilize your medical insurance, is no sign of benevolence, if they could not utilize your medical insurance and you attempted to use your dental insurance, they ask you for a $600 consultation fee, and for that specific procedure it would cost you in excess of $3000.
As the old saying goes, “no good deed goes unpunished”. There’s nothing wrong in the United States. There is however something incredibly wrong and disturbing when accommodation, sympathy, and expertise provided at no charge to a patient is twisted into disparaging unfounded remarks.
We are glad you were able to get your treatment rendered, but instead of your inaccurate accusations, a “thank you” would have been nice for all the expertise, time, and peace of mind we provided for you at no charge.
Fantastic experience: Dr. Baghdasarian, Maria, and the dental hygienists were all great to me. I hadn’t been to a dentist for a few years, but they were nonjudgmental and understanding. My cleaning was very thorough and I was left happy with the results. Dr. Baghdasarian explained my x-rays and treatment plan. I had agreed to start Clear Correct aligners that day, but later found out that I could not commit to the financial responsibility due to family needs/expenses. Dr. Baghdasarian And Maria directly negotiated with the clear correct laboratory in order to cancel my order and attempt to lower the cancellation fees. I am grateful for their efforts and I have them to thank for the reduction in my cancellation fees. Great customer service.

Fantastic experience: I was referred over to this clinic by my endodontist after having a severe infection that could not be treated with root canal therapy. I was in excruciating pain and Dr. Bagdasarian was able to extract the tooth so gently I didn’t even feel anything. I’m so grateful to have found this clinic and I had to drive all the way over from mid city to reach here but it was worth the drive and I’m finally pain-free. Negative experience: went here because it had so many positive reviews, but this is the only dentist where ive had the craziest toothache, even came back so they could correct it or tell me what was the problem but my teeth never stopped aching.. its been a year and ive had to deal with it because theyre always booked and im scared nothing is even going to get solved again

However, we saw you back in February when you came in for a follow up to have the sensitive area checked, and we made adjustments and didn’t hear from you again after that. We assumed that your sensitivity had resolved, if it hasn’t, we’re happy to see you, but we haven’t heard from you since last Feb 2026, which was approximately four months ago, when you last came. Fantastic experience: I have struggled with my dental health for quite some time as I have had poor experiences with different dentists and hygienists, however Doctor Baghdasarian‘s office has helped me heal from these experiences. I ended up needing a root canal and multiple fillings, which of course is not fun but due to his and his staff’s kind bedside manner I was able to feel comfortable during the procedures. This is a fantastic dental office and I would highly recommend coming here for primary dental care.

Fantastic experience: I had been searching for a dentist that accepted my mom’s insurance and found Genesis Dental Esthetics through highly rated reviews. When I called and explained that my mom was in pain, they offered the soonest appointment, which was the next day. From the moment we arrived, the front desk receptionists were kind and welcoming, and Maria was especially helpful throughout the entire visit. Dr. Ted Baghasarian was incredibly caring and took the time to clearly explain everything my mom needed, which we truly appreciated. Fantastic experience: From the moment I walked in, the front desk staff was incredibly friendly, welcoming, and truly customer-focused. You can immediately tell they care about making patients feel comfortable. The dentist was just as wonderful - so kind, patient, and informative. Been coming here for about a year and have had general, cosmetic and surgical work done and it’s all been great. Would definitely recommend, and already have.

Fantastic experience: I don’t usually leave reviews, but I had to leave one for Genesis Dental Esthetics and Dr Baghdasarian, and also express my deepest thanks! About three years ago I had three implants done all of them soon failed after only about six months, I was really frustrated and scared to go see anybody about the issue. However, in the past six months, I developed a very bad infection, and with a lot of pain setting in I came to see Dr. Bagdasarian. He was able to surgically retrieve the implants that were severely infected and clean out the abscess that had formed. He put me on some strong antibiotics and the following week I felt so much better. Seeing how gently and expertly he removed the implants I felt confident to try and replace them under his care. He added bone to the area because I had lost a lot of bone from the infection and successfully placed three new implants that have held up amazingly well so far. I’m so thankful for his patience, expertise, and his reassurance, because I had had such a bad experience before. Thank you Dr. B and the rest of the staff for taking such good care of me!

Negative experience: I was quoted nearly $2,000 for one wisdom tooth extraction, with $1,700–$1,800 of it coming from a collagen sponge. I walked right out.
Hi Yi, we are the second dental clinic you are visiting with your severely painful decayed wisdom tooth. Your review is not entirely honest and is misleading. You were shopping around for a quick fix cheap extraction, but it was clearly explained to you by the doctor that due to the close proximity of your root, there was a risk of forming a fistula (hole)from your left sinus into your oral cavity.
You weren’t offered any type of “sponge”, the treatment consisted of extracting the tooth and grafting the site using a very high quality guided membrane and actual human donor bone with sutures so that it would heal properly and adequately.
We offered you fair and transparent pricing, and even reduced the price to help you with a discount. You chose to not get the extraction completed, and not get the treatment rendered and left. Just because you don’t agree with pricing does not mean we provided bad service or that your review is in any way justified. We have a very high standard of care and strive to maintain it always, if a patient has no appreciation for that,there is nothing we can do about it, good luck.
Negative experience: Previous review: “Finally found someone who can make my ancient teeth look normal.” They did great work with my veneers. But I have to lower my review because of the thing that will prevent me from returning. I had a cavity on a back molar they drilled and filled with a warning that it was a difficult one. A deep cavity in a tough location. And yes the filling came out twice. Third time it stayed on. However I came in again two days before Christmas worried about a developing tooth ache. They looked at the tooth without x-raying and observed the filling was intact and just left me with a warning to use sensodyne and brush gently. Christmas Day I wake up in horrible pain and eventually decide to get to the ER where I got a prescription for antibiotics. My neck is now visibly swollen under the tooth. Lymph node is huge and I cannot open my mouth wide or chew. Eating soups for now while I wait for my root canal on Jan 7th. -------- Responding to your response below, now. You're making false statements. I'm talking about my visit 12/23/25. You did not refer me that day. When I was unable to get anyone on 12/25, I went to ER. The following day, I had already made an appointment with an endodontist that I found on my own. Later I got a call from another endodontist where someone in your office had made an appointment for me – without consulting or informing me of the appointment. Yes I did decline them at that point, since a) I already had my appointment, and b) I had lost faith in your system by then. Sorry you guys. I know I came in with some difficult teeth to work with. But this was a big ball drop on your part that needs to be called out.
Hello there Non, it’s unfortunate that you had to go to an emergency clinic due to your severe toothache and swelling, we’re sorry to hear that.
However, when you did come in Dr. Baghdasarian examined the tooth in question and stated that filling was intact, but he did indicate that the tooth needs to be looked at more closely by an endodontist for a possible root infection.
We in fact did provide you a referral to go see an endodontist, and Dr. Baghdasarian even encouraged you to call them the same day to see them as soon as possible. Despite recommending that you see the endodontist, you declined the referral and said that you would like to wait.
Again, we’re really sorry to hear that you had to go to an acute emergency clinic when the tooth in question began causing pain, but we took all appropriate action and provided all the referrals necessary when you first came in to be seen. We are really glad you’re feeling better now, hopefully in the future you don’t have to go through this again. Listening carefully to the recommendations of an experienced and knowledgeable doctor when examined is vital for good outcomes.

Fantastic experience: I had a lot of surgical dental treatment done recently at this clinical facility, replacing some missing teeth with dental implants. From the doctor to the staff, including Maria in the front they were all amazing. I felt no pain throughout the whole process. I was very nervous in the beginning, but Dr. Baghdasarian made me feel very at ease and he was very fast and gentle. Fantastic experience: I’ve been a patient at the Genesis Dental Esthetics for nearly 2 years now, this is one of the best clinics in San Gabriel Valley area. They are always friendly, the doctor and staff are very knowledgeable, and they explain everything to you one step at a time. Scheduling is easy and effortlessly and accommodating with Maria and is very through explaining my copay with my insurance. My first visit here I came in for a severe toothache and Dr. Baghdasarian went through and showed me exactly where the infection was and got me out of pain that first evening.
