Negative experience: Make sure you pay attention to these folks they wanted to do a root canal on my daughter‘s tooth. We got a second opinion two of them. They just needed to be feel And when we did that, we went back to them and explain to them. The denied my my daughter, any further service they got mad because we caught them in a lie we’re opening up an insurance squad claim because for years we’ve went here they would put silver feelings in my kids teeth when we would ask them to put the porcelain ones by law, they have to if you ask, watch these folks people

Fantastic experience: Consistency in getting my authorization ( it took medical quite a while ) the receptions or office manager was very polite all the times I would call to see if the authorization went through. I loved the dentist himself I thought he too was polite , considerate and easy goin with the mouth .

Negative experience: I would give this place half a star if I could. Never one to give reviews but thought I should share my experience with this place. We've been going here the past couple years an for the most part we've never had an issues and we've mentioned that we never want the fluoride treatment or amalgam fillings for our kids if they ever need it. You would think they would have it in their charts or something and I'm constantly reminding them during the appointments. Today, my daughter went in for her appointment to get her two cavities filled and my wife later found out that they used amalgam! You would think after all this time that this wouldn't be an issue. NOW after their damn mistake it's going to cost a lot of money out of pocket to go somewhere to get it removed (SMART) certified which a lot of dental offices don't have. Very furious with their costly mistake.

Negative experience: I took my kids to the dentist because it was the only one in Oakdale that does work on kids. We had no problem inside the office. Everything went smooth as possible. As I go to make an appointment for my next kid, They tell me that my family has been dismissed with their office. With no good reason. Now my family is forced to drive out of town to go get dental work done. I had expressed to this office that no one was willing to work on my child’s teeth and they are yet another dentist that had let me down.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Chahal and her staff are amazing. They are always honest and kind. My daughter used to be so scared of going to the dentist and now since we have been seeing Dr. Chahal my daughter has no fear. The staff is so kind and we appreciate all that they do for us

We have been coming here for 6 years now, and they have even made my girls feel at ease when it comes to getting teeth work done! I absolutely recommend this dental office and all the ladies working there are absolutely amazing and make you feel like family! We sure will miss you guys so much!

Fantastic experience: Don't let the name fool you — Oakdale Kids and Orthodontics sees adult patients too! As a 37-year-old lifelong Oakdale resident, I'm so glad I gave them a try. The dentist was calm, sweet, and had a great smile that instantly put me at ease. The whole staff was friendly and attentive, answered all my questions, and took the time to explain everything clearly. Highly recommend — for kids AND adults!

Fantastic experience: We had a great experience, my son needed a baby tooth pulled and the dentist and her assistant were so great with him. Their technique to hide the poke of the needle going in to numb him worked great he barely reacted, he was completely unphased with the extraction and was able to continue about his day immediately after. The staff are always kind even when they are slammed with patients.

Fantastic experience: Staff at desk are very friendly and helpful. Doctor and nurses are extremely caring and explain all procedures for clear understanding. My kids dont fear the dentist because of this establishment and I couldn't ask for a better dentistry team to take care of all three of my children's dentistry needs. The doctor is patient and is excellent at what she does. One of my children is special needs and his experience is always pleasurable and they always make sure he is at ease and well taken care of. Thank you Dr Chahal and team for everything you do. Highly recommend

Furthermore, Dr. Gurneet Chahal is an excellent dentist with children and very professional; she is so kind to my three children when they go for their appointments. In short, it's a great place. Fantastic experience: Starting at 5 years old my son was already anxious going to the dentist and it really didn’t help that these different places would yell at him for being scared and for crying because he was scared. he had very bad experiences with other places. One place even threatened him that they would kick me out of the room if he didn’t stop crying, he was only 6 when they did that. Finally I came upon Oakdale Children’s Dental and saw their reviews, I thought I would give them a try. They were very patient with him and talked to him about everything and talked to him through each step of the process. Oakdale Children’s Dental helped my son over come his fear and still talk him through everything they are doing and keep checking on him to see if he’s doing ok and if he needs a break. They are amazing, everyone is so friendly, sweet, caring, patient and just so amazing. I highly recommend this office especially to those with children who are anxious going to the dentist.

But everything changed in 2016, when 7-year-old me sat in Dr. Chahal’s chair for the first time. She was so sweet, welcoming, and gentle that all of my fears started to fade away. She treated me with such kindness and patience that I actually began to feel comfortable at the dentist. Now, instead of dreading appointments, I look forward to them! Dr. Chahal has completely changed the way I feel about dental visits, and I’m so grateful for her care.

Fantastic experience: My son saw Dr. Chahal yesterday for a filling and cap for my 8 yo. First off, the girls were able to fit me in the schedule as it’s super hard to get my boys in with school and my work schedule. Second, I did everything to prepare my son for this appointment but he was still super nervous. The doctor and her assistant did an amazing job calming my son down and was able to actually complete the procedure within a couple minutes. They were super compassionate to how he was feeling and made him comfortable. I will continue to take both my boys here. Great job ladies!

Fantastic experience: The staff have been very professional, friendly, helpful in the past 9+ years and that's one of the reasons we continue to go here. They have certain staff members that are bilingual which makes it easier for Spanish speaking families. On top of all that, their waiting room is kid friendly with an activity center from coloring to playing with toys. They allow the kids to choose what they would like to watch on the tele while they wait for their dentist or to be call back. We have enjoyed going here and will continue to do so. They are very gentle with kids and understanding which is a plus. This is my opinion on what I personally think of this office and would definitely recommend to a friend or family members.

Fantastic experience: My daughter Cali has been going Oakdale kids dentist & orthodontist since 5 years old and now she 15 teen the staff are very nice and respectful and her dentist Dr. She is a very sweet woman...so I Highly recommend to Anyone send your toddler or children or teenagers their I'm very satisfied with place because the staff members and her dentist Dr. Watched my daughter grow and I very appreciated for All they have done with my daughter teeth Hygiene ❤️

Fantastic experience: They saved my life. I had a really bad infection and they made sure I got the help I needed. After I was turned away from Oakdale Hospital. The dentist wrote a letter letting Modesto Hospital know what was going on and that I needed to be there. I needed up have surgery and staying in the hospital for a week. Thank you so much for saving my life . And treating me with respect.

Positive experience: First experience was not the best,it said they open 9am,doors didn't open until 9:30am,not a big deal if there was a note or anything, waiting with little kids by the door is not the best. Front desk lady was very kind and friendly, she was so nice to kids,by far she was the only one.the girl that took us back was not friendly and got a vibe from her like she doesn't want to be there,personally I wouldn't care,but when you bring in little kids to place they are scared to go,that just makes it even worse. The doctor did quick exam,just felt like i was rushed.its kids dentist place and honestly it was not the vibe I was looking for.the girl that was taking xray wouldn't even take her time to help my 5 year old to fell comfortable to take x-rays, just made it worse.not sure if I'll take them back. I did like the open space for kids to have exam,wouldn't feel comfortable if I was the patient.

Fantastic experience: They are always time efficient and so friendly. My 4 year old feels very comfortable in their chair. He likes the coloring options in the waiting room, puting him at ease. They always make him feel special when he gets a "no cavity report" ... He always aims to be in the no cavity club at home when he brushes his teeth.

Negative experience: I have been brining my kids here for a few years, no problems. I then had to take my 9 yo to have a tooth removed. My daughter has never had any dental work done; just checkups. This dentist yelled, and I mean YELLED at my daughter because of how much anxiety she had and was not able to sit still. We will not be coming back. The dentist is very insensitive to young children who have never had dental procedures. She has no patients. What a shame. The rest of the staff is AMAZINg but the DR has to go.

Fantastic experience: This place is AWSOME! I travel my family from Sonora to Oakdale kids to get there services and treatment. My daughter has been terrified of shots since she was little and now is 15 and still is. She recently just got her first cavity and has to deal with the first shot in the mouth. Ms. Dentist whom I wish I could remember her name, was excellent along with her nurse; made a excellent team. They both worked together and tricked my daughter and (myself for most of the time) that they were not even giving the shot. They did the filling and that was it. The procedure was done! I was amazed, truely! Till this day my daughter does not know she had gotten a shot in the mouth. I recommend Oakdale Kids Dentistry for Anxious Patients. They truely did something I did not think could be done. Even with out gas or any other substance. Great job Oakdale Kids!

Dr. Chahal is so good at what she does, and she is fantastic with her patients and families. She is also a Mother with a special needs child, and understands first hand the desperate situation so many of us face regarding the lack of access to quality dental care. The entire team works together to provide a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment for every child. You can literally feel the way they genuinely care about each and every little smile. They are conveniently located, plenty of parking, wheelchair and stroller friendly, spacious rooms and hallways, multiple family sized restrooms, fun activities in the waiting room, movies for every patient during treatment , they can provide sunglasses, headphones, quiet spaces, and on and on and on, anything you can think of pretty much, they have it dialed in. Requesting an appointment is easy and convenient. Need to come in right away? No need to worry, they even take care of emergencies. We have had multiple incidents over the years that required same day appointments and have always been able to come right in. Keeping track of your appointments is easy via phone calls, email or text reminders. They even send you a link so you can fill out all of your paperwork ahead of time at your own convenience. Most insurance plans are accepted. Any necessary treatments or out of pocket costs are explained in detail during exams and there are never any surprises. If you are looking for a place for your kiddo, or know of a friend or family member searching for a place that can treat their special needs child with the compassion and respect they equally deserve, please give them a call. Fantastic experience: Getting an appointment here was very easy and they had openings almost immediately! The office is clean and inviting to kids, and they were very gentle and friendly with my toddler for his first visit! He was so happy afterwards he told everyone about his visit to the dentist❤️

Fantastic experience: The Oakdale kids dentist orthodontist is one of a place that is kinda,caring,loving. The reason why I give this place a star is because the people from there are respectful and I love how they treat the kids. They are also great person to talk and communicate with them while being there. Ever since i been going there with my kids they love it. Everyone is so nice. Also love when they make us laugh.

Fantastic experience: I recommend this dentist. I will travel as far as I need too to get my girls the best dentist. My girls actually get excited to go to the dentist When I tell them they have an appointment. The staff is amazing with the kids, and so is the dentist I appreciate how comfortable they make the kids.

Fantastic experience: We traveled about 45 minutes out of town to come here, as our office couldn’t fit in for months. They were able to get us in pretty quick for it being around the holidays. They were great with our 4 year old. Office was clean and staff was friendly.

Negative experience: They tell the kids they are getting “freezing spray” instead of a shot. “Brushing the tooth” instead of drilling. That’s nice and all, but beware, because when they are drilling, and the kid says it hurts….they tell the kids that they are NOT feeling pain. They keep going and do not offer more numbing medication when drilling, even if the kid is crying and it’s obvious they are hurting them.

Fantastic experience: I truly am so thankful for the Dr & her team. They have always been so kind and good to me and my daughter. She had an emergency treatment and they worked to get her seen asap and in big picture that just a small piece of how good they are there, they do so much. They feel like family and that to me is a true treasure that's hard to find ❤️. Blessings to the Dr and her team this holiday season and thank you again for providing a wonderful place and thank you for all of your hard work, it is very much appreciated ❣️

Fantastic experience: Love our local dentist. Having 4 kids and getting them on all at the same time is wonderful. The Dr. Is amazing, my kids feel comfortable going here every time. Office is clean and the front desk is well managed. Recently my son had chipped his tooth over the weekend. They got him Monday to have it taken out since it was a baby tooth. Great they were so quick to help.

Negative experience: They left me feeling helpless as a parent! Very poor customer service. My daughter was visiting her aunt in Oakdale and my daughter got a toothache and I called and they were going to accept her but since I wasn't going to bring her they told me they wouldn't accept her. I told them I lived out of state and I couldn't be there they told me to take her to the ER. I offered to send they a copy of my ID and her birth cert and the information of her aunt, and they still said no. I even offered to FaceTime but still it was no. I asked them why and they lied to me and said it was CA law and when I told them that that's not correct they then told me it was company policy and put me on hold and didn't come back to the phone. They left me feeling helpless for my daughter when I'm 1700 miles away.

Fantastic experience: I absolutely love this Dental office. My kid's are comfortable here and the staff and dentist are so friendly and my kid's enjoy going to the dentist. I wouldn’t take my kids anywhere else. They are so quick. Absolutely love the staff!

Fantastic experience: This place is awesome!! It's a super clean environment. The lady at the desk was super nice and signing up for the first time was a breeze! The assistants were both so understanding of my daughters fear of the dentist and didn't pressure for anything that wasn't necessary. Dr. Gurneet Chahal recommended a fluoride free toothpaste for my two year old daughter, which made the experience even better because you know she's not out here prescribing toxins for children, she genuinely wants what's best for them! They made us feel super comfortable and welcomed! 5 stars all around!!

Positive experience: Dr. Chahal was amazing, but not her staff! The staff kept loosing my paper work at the front desk. 3x in less than a year I had to keep filling out the same forms. Not to mention they would not put all of our information on all our accounts.. I sure do miss her old staff. They were always on top of everything!
