Fantastic experience: Sarah! Front desk is beyond helpful, professional.! She makes going to thw dentist worth while!

Positive experience: Was a good experience but it seems like every time I go there there are different people working there.

Fantastic experience: This was my first visit since they changed management. The staff was wonderful, friendly and knew what they are doing. I would recommend them to everyone.

Negative experience: I think that $615 for a single X-ray and replacement of a front bottom tooth filling is exorbitant! Way too much for a 20 minute procedure. I ended up with a much larger than normal gap between my two bottom front teeth. Just because I don't have insurance, they think they can charge what they want! Also the receptionist was very rude when she was asked for a military or senior discount!

Negative experience: We are a family of 5 and were told that this dentist was in network with our new insurance. However, the office had some confusion over it at first but then they called the insurance company and told us everything was fine so we started to go to them. 2 years going there, they never told us that it turned out that they were not in network and we never received a bill, other than for extra services (which was a whole other issue as they always seemed to be trying to sell us additional services when all we needed were cleanings). The dentist was the same for the first several visits and did not change until our last couple appointments, which means the previous dentist was not in network either, despite the office telling us otherwise. I called the insurance company after getting a huge bill and they said that they had informed the dental office that they were NOT in-network but we were told more than once by the office that they were in-network. Now we are stuck with a huge bill. There were also services that I was told would be covered and I told them to be sure or we would skip them and they assured they would be and it turned out that they were not covered as fully as they said. We would have skipped the services with no issue had we known. Do not go here if you expect them to be transparent and forthcoming about coverage and charges because they will not be.

Fantastic experience: Dr Lien is awesome. I hate going to dentists and always have gotten anxiety from them and their bedside manner. She is great, first time in 53 years that I don’t dread going in.

Fantastic experience: I came in and had my first appointment with Dr. Lien. She is very professional and has an amazing bedside manner. She explained things clearly and answered any questions I had. She was able to take care of some treatment and got me scheduled to come back for the rest of my care. From the moment I walked in.. to the moment I left, I had a great experience. Negative experience: "DONT GO THERE!!* Update March 2026: I went back about a year ago because Michelle no longer worked there. I needed two teeth pulled. Went to my next visit and they had a dental partial made for four teeth, not 2, and were going to pull two perfectly good teeth. I had already paid half of the partial. I left the visit, went to a different dentist, who said I need two teeth pulled not 4. They had also charged me for cleaning my partial, they hadn't charged in the past, nor did they tell me there was a$100 charge. They are shady and try to do things to make more money without telling you. They're all about money now. Don't go there! Post below was 4 yrs ago. Updating 8/22/23 to say I no longer go to this dental office as of 2021 because of office staff Michelle. Unprofessional and rude. I came in for a cleaning and asked Mary Beth about a bill that I had already paid, questioning why I was billed when my insurance covers 4 cleanings per year? A woman named Michelle, whom I had never met, started talking loudly across the office, where everybody could hear her, saying that the staff had been submitting my dental visits incorrectly to insurance for several years and that it was FRAUD and SHE was not going to do it. She went on and on and on and I had NO CLUE what she was even talking about (I wasn't even sure she was talking to me, because we weren't talking face to face, she wasn't in the front of the office.) I was so appalled at Michelle's unprofessional and rude behavior that I literally just walked out. I didn't stay for my teeth cleaning appointment, and I've never been back. OLD REVIEW FROM 4 YRS AGO: I've been going to Comprehensive Dental since the office became Comprehensive Dental. Prior to that, it was Dr. Bogusky, whom I saw since I was in 1st grade (now 56 yrs old!) Dr. Bogusky retired and the office became Comprehensive Dental. I've known the staff for years. They're family to me.

Negative experience: We are a family of 5 and were faithful patients for over 6 years. The dentists come and go like a revolving door. You wouldn't know until you get there. That didn't bother me so much until the last dentist wasn't in network. My insurance never changed, but who they hired to backfill for "another" dentist that left their company was NOT in Network. Did they tell me that before 3 of us got our teeth cleaned, "NO". Teeth cleanings are free with my insurance, when it isn't it is about $100 x3). My FSA paid the entire bill and when I noticed it, I had called Family Dental. They told me that the dentist WAS in the Cigna network and this will get fixed, give it a few months for the paperwork to clear. I totally believed them, but it never was fixed, they flat out lied to me as it never was going to get fixed, and the final discussion I had just a few weeks ago ended by them telling me that it was MY responsibility to know if the dentist I am seeing is in network or not. How am I supposed to know the day I come in if the NEW dentist they have is in the network or not? To add to the above, we caught them doing fraudulent billing. For two years they were charging my credit card AND they were receiving my FSA payment for the same charges. That took me at least 9 months to get that back. They should treat their customers better. Just because they can't keep a dentist for a longer period of time, doesn't mean that your customers have to keep up with new faces and have to do background checks to see if your new employee is in network or not. I have never written a bad review in my life, but I don't want someone to go through the same experience.

Fantastic experience: Julia Fryzel Is my dentist She had to pull several teeth to prepare me for A denture .One my teeth was broke off at gum line And others had crowns which broke off when she was pulling them. She was very Compassionate about her job, Very conscientious and explained everything to me as we moved Forward. Very professional made sure I was comfortable. Her and her assistant Worked Flawlessly together as A team.. This was A Complicated case to say the least but she pulled it off like A Pro. She has a great personality and you "Know" right away she is there for your best interest. I would highly recommend Julia Fryzel And the Staff all very professional and polite. Fantastic experience: When they say comprehensive, boy do they mean it! I’ve been to several dentists throughout my life. This is the first one that took several individual x-rays of my teeth at first time check-up instead of just one or two overall. Every step of the way they explain what they were doing and why. The cleaning process was excellent, so much more than 5 minutes of scraping and polishing. I will wholeheartedly be recommending Comprehensive Family Dental to anyone looking for a caring and knowledgeable staff.

Fantastic experience: They do a very good job. I tell them that I only want certain services and they comply. They do have to perform the X-rays at a certain interval, I seen one review below where a person was complaining about that. They do recommend better tooth brushes and supplies to help your mouth conditions. I have purchased what they recommend and have been satisfied. You don’t have to purchase it at the office, you can buy the supplies anywhere.

Negative experience: Dentist, hygenist and assistants are all great. The billing/appointment team has on multiple occasions mislead and overcharged me for items I was never fully informed about. I will not be returning as I have zero confidence that I will be billed correctly.

Negative experience: I would advise against using this dentist's office, unless you really like a sales pitch. I had my first appointment with them in the fall of 2023 after my previous dentist retired. I mainly needed/wanted a cleaning and basic checkup. I got a sales pitch for just about everything they had in the office except the dental chair. First, they insisted on 18 x-rays, and when I objected, they sent one staff member after the other to convince me they were vital. I relented, which I shouldn't have done. Then they went on to recommend another type of scan, plus a fluoride paste treatment, plus an electric toothbrush (which they conveniently sell!). Then it was that they needed to pull my upper wisdom teeth (which have given me no trouble at age 51). When I said I didn't want that until they became a problem, the dentist conveniently found that there "was a cavity" in one of them, "so I might as well have them pulled." And lastly, they also recommended Invisalign for correcting other things that have never caused me any problems or caused any of my previous dentists any concern either. I believe this office was trying to squeeze as much revenue as possible out of me and felt like I had a giant dollar sign tattooed on my forehead when I walked in. I recommend they be avoided.

Negative experience: This dentist canceled 2 of my appointments in 4 months. I had to take off in advance to schedule these. First the hygienist was sick, then they had to can because they were going through renovations that ended up taking over 2 months apparently. They Have changed dentists 3 times in the last year. I was supposed to go to this dentist then to a periodontal and switch off every 3 months..this caused great concern when got canceled 2 times in 4 month and then put off for 2 more months. Then out of the blue at 630pm Mary Beth calls to say she has an appointment 3 days from now if I needed to be seen. I would not waste my time going here. I went to another dentist innit charles and am very happy.

Negative experience: I just want to go to the dentist, have my teeth cleaned, X rayed and checked for cavities. I felt a lot of expensive and unnecessary procedures were laid out in front of me including some kind of mouth inspection and something else to pay for. I’m 75 and don’t have dental insurance and was given estimates for work that needed to be done in the future for thousands of dollars. The dentist told me I needed to use an electric toothbrush and water pick and it would make his job a whole lot easier. I have never used these expensive items and yet I still have most of my teeth. What ever happened to the small town dentist that doesn’t have a big corporation breathing down his neck to get more and more money. I will not return to Comprehensive Dental.

Negative experience: Hang on to your wallet! I had an exam, exrays, cleaning and 2 fillings. The insurance company EOB shows I may be billed. $211.40 I was billed $556.40 In response to going into the office and speaking to the receptionist, I received 2 bill text the next day. To top things off...1 filling fell out and 1 tooth broke off within 1 month.

Fantastic experience: I feel so blessed that when searching for a new Dentist several years ago I stumbled upon Dr Stegeman. He has changed my life solving so many issues for me. He told me I could fix my bite or look forward to dentures in my future. I needed Invisalign. I thought I was too old but it wasn’t about a pretty smile. That was a side affect! I no longer have headaches, neck pain and some other symptoms but have the smile that wearing braces for 5 years in my teens did not solve.. I look forward to my visits.
