I really get hyper to visit the dentist and I went on line to read the reviews from Comprehensive Dental Care they scored high. I called and told them about all my fear of dentist’s they said no problem we work all around your fear a step at a time. I made an appointment went in nervous as heck. The were great! I appreciated her knowledge and explanation of what needs to be done… never (after 4 other dentist visits after 4 years) ever understood what needs to be done through e-rays and photos to show me what I needed to see instead of just telling me. Thank you so much for this experience which will ultimately save teeth. See you in a week to start my procedure!

Fantastic experience: My wife and 4 year old daughter and I were just happy to be able to get in last minute at a dentist that accepted our insurance, but when we got there and staff greeted us with non judgemental smiles and genuine care which carried through until the very end we knew we had found our new family dentist crew. They have an temp dentist right now, he's good, but I look forward to meeting the new guy too (let's be honest, those "further down the totem" are who make or break any medical place anyway)

Fantastic experience: I had been dealing with the worst wisdom tooth pain imaginable. A previous dentist told me I’d need oral surgery, and even with insurance, the out-of-pocket cost was insane. I called and spoke with Melissa at the front desk — she was so kind and patient, walked me through the insurance process, and got me in that same afternoon after I told her how bad the pain was. When I arrived, Susie gave me a tour of the office and made me feel super comfortable right away. Everything was already set up in case I decided to go through with the extraction. The doctor was seriously the “Novocain and wisdom tooth extraction whisperer.” I didn’t feel a thing and was comfortable from start to finish. They even followed up afterward to check on me, which meant a lot. Overall, the whole team was amazing — professional, caring, and made what could’ve been a nightmare experience feel easy. Highly recommend!

Fantastic experience: Was very good and thorough

Negative experience: Comprehensive Dental Care encouraged my ex-wife to get upgraded treatments for my children, despite both parties knowing that the insurance did not cover it, and that I was the one financially liable. When I asked them to ensure that I was contacted before any procedures were done to ensure that the insurance was checked first, they told me that I could not do that. They claim that my ex-wife and and they can bill my insurance whatever they want. My lawyer is now getting involved!

Doc is so gooat what she does. She drilled 3 cavities, all in my wisdom teeth, and I felt nothing. Nothing! No bs, no exaggeration. I felt nothing. I've had cleanings that were more painful!

Negative experience: I don't know why I started coming here in 2023 in the first place. My insurance runs out at the end of the month so I wanted to make one last appointment to make sure I got all of my bangs for my bucks. My regular dentist in Remington didn't have availability this week so I made an appointment with my OTHER local dentist at 8 o'clock this morning. When I called to make said appointment last week, I explicitly stated that I had my most recent x-rays and treatment plan dating 02/04/2025 and all I needed was one cavity taken care of. They had me send all my information over and assured me that when I came in this morning, they'd be able to treat me and I'd be on my way. Phew! No. I get in the chair today and the hygienist starts telling me how xrays older than 6 months are no good and the dentist will have to do a full oral exam with a full set of xrays and then we will determine whether or not SHE "agrees" with my treatment plan. I calmly explain to her that they have all current information and if that's what this appointment was supposed to be, then they should have said that on the phone instead of telling me I'd be good to go but unfortunately, I have a home to clean at 9 a.m. and I don't have time for such a lengthy appointment. I apologized and got out of the chair and I thought everything was fine until she literally started trash talking me to the receptionist as I was walking out the door which caused me to take a few steps back and say, "don't talk shit when I can still hear you that's rude" Don't get upset at me because you guys didn't tell me the truth. Now mind you, this is the dentist that told me two years ago that I needed like FIVE root canals/crowns and FOUR extractions on teeth that my current dentist deemed fixable with fillings and TWO root canals/crowns. If you just want money, say that. Now I'm losing out on $140 that my insurance would have covered and I'm pissed lol I will happily keep driving an hour to Remington.

Fantastic experience: Got to spend a decent amount of time with the great staff at comprehensive dental care over the past few months and I don’t think I would’ve been able to do it if it was with any other group of people! Outside of doing great work they do an excellent job at making you feel comfortable and communicate everything going on whether it’s a cleaning, a filling, or billing questions. Seriously got me right one tooth at a time or whatever Morgan Wallen said, and I couldn’t thank them enough for the outstanding work and most efficient process.

Fantastic experience: I had my first appointment at Comprehensive Dental today with Dr. Bodnar and Silsan. They and the office staff were all so kind and respectful. I was greeted with a gift bag and given a tour of the office. Dr. Bodnar and Silsan answered all my questions and showed me all my x rays and the pictures of my teeth so I could fully understand. I was worried about going to the dentist after not going for several years. But they were not judgmental or condescending at all! I will definitely be referring others to this office!

Negative experience: Unprofessional and Rude Experience I had a terrible experience at comprehensive dental care at 301 south court st Crown Point Indiana 46307. They charged me $115 for a first-time visit, and despite talking to them three times to review my insurance benefits, they never fixed the bill until I involved my insurance company directly. On top of that I did not receive the cleaning service that was the reason I made the appointment. My insurance pay 100 percent of my routine dental exams and I told them that they need to clarify this with my insurance because something was wrong in the claim how they submitted. The office manager, Loretta, was extremely rude and even snatched the bill from my hand when I tried to show it to her for review. This place seems more focused on getting your money than providing proper care. I highly recommend avoiding this office for any dental needs. By sharing the facts clearly and respectfully, your review will have a stronger impact. Be sure to post it on platforms like Google, Yelp, or any other place they might receive reviews!

The experience from the front desk to the chair and out of the door, was first-class. If you are looking for a dentist who won’t waste your time, and will get to the bottom of any issues that you have, professionally, consistently, and meticulously, look no further than Comprehensive Dental Care, Crown Point Indiana! Our first visit to this facility was phenomenal! The staff were the absolute best! They were very accommodating to us. The staff also worked together like a well oiled machine to get everything taken care of and they did so in a timely manner. This made us (especially my mother) feel extremely comfortable and happy that we chose this facility. The entire staff were very thorough and my mom said this will be her Dentist going forward because she loved it there!! My son and I totally agree. We found them to be very professional, very cordial and very helpful from the very first phone call to set up the appointment all the way through to the end of our visit. Kudos to the entire staff.

A year ago I walked in with no insurance hadn’t seen a dentist in 10 years not only did they help me figure out how to do it financially with financial plans. They help me make a dental plan. Help me space that plan out so I can save my teeth. My mouth feels amazing. Thank you so much and will continue to go.

Negative experience: Unfortunately, under the new ownership of Comprehensive Dental Care, my family has had nothing but problems with their management. We loved the previous owner, Dr Lambert, and my entire family saw him for many years. During and after the transition to the current owners, we've had nothing but headaches from the office. We all switched to a different dental office right away, and even almost all of their hygienists left as well. As far as we knew, our accounts were closed there and didn't think twice about leaving that practice. Fast forward to the Summer and Fall of 2023... We started receiving calls from the new Comprehensive Dental Care saying we owed them money for a 5 minute procedure (frenulectomy) that was performed a couple years prior, under Dr Lambert. At the time of said procedure, an agreement had been reached, and we did not have a balance. Additionally, we did pay our "patient responsibility" on the date of service. Anything outside of our estimated patient charge was to be forgiven/wrote off. However, the new management deemed our account as past due long after we were no longer patients. By this time, our insurance wanted nothing to do with services provided as those procedure codes were no longer considered covered. To us, this was a surprise bill. We've always kept our medical and dental bills paid and current. But, we felt hoodwinked and taken advantage of. The story does not end there. Next thing ya know, a collections agency was reaching out demanding payment plus penalty charges. We of course submitted a physical dispute letter and requested an array of documentation and proof of several things. In Dec 2023, this collection agency mailed us only a small fraction of the documentation we requested to proceed, and nothing more than what Comprehensive Dental Care sent us. Not even a letter was included in this paperwork! We assumed they must be collecting more information... Oh but wait, there's more. This week, Feb 2024, a LAW office reaches out to request payment on this matter--- DOUBLE the price of the original bill! We're flabbergasted! Enough is enough! I offered to settle this with them and just pay what the insurance's contracted rate is for this procedure; just to end this charade. But, no. The law office refused to settle and insisted multiple times that we must want to go to court! We are absolutely disheartened by all of this. We feel we were surprise billed. We feel the way this matter has been handled by the new management has teetered on unethical billing practices. We are not the only clients having surprise financial challenges with the current management. Do your research.
