Fantastic experience: I truly had the best medical/dentist office experience I’ve ever had at St John Smiles. Professional, kind, easy to talk to staff from first phone contact, desk staff, dental procedure staff and billing. Every single person was professional with personalities that invite conversation, questions and a feeling that they relate to you and the experiences you are going through. A special mention to Mason, he is the epitome of professionalism, relatability and kindness.

Negative experience: I am extremely disappointed and frustrated with my experience at St. John Smiles. I scheduled an appointment for my daughter and made the effort to bring her to the office, only to be met with a series of excuses, conflicting information, and a complete lack of communication. When we arrived, I was told that the hygienist was not there because we had not confirmed the appointment on Saturday when they sent a text. The problem with that explanation is that we did confirm the appointment on Sunday at 8:00 a.m. So why was the appointment still scheduled and why were we not contacted if there was an issue? Then, after I questioned the situation, the manager went to speak with the hygienist who I had just been told “wasn’t there.” Suddenly, the hygienist was available and they said my daughter could be seen. At that point, I thought the issue had finally been resolved, only to then be told that they do not accept my daughter’s insurance. This should have been identified before the appointment, not after we arrived at the office. I asked who reviewed the paperwork and insurance information and why nobody contacted us to inform us that her insurance was not accepted. I was told that the call center had reviewed it, and the manager simply said he would “address it.” That response does not make up for the time wasted, the inconvenience, or the frustration caused to my daughter and me. A patient should not have to physically show up for an appointment to find out that the office does not accept their insurance. Basic communication and proper verification should happen before an appointment is scheduled. What should have been a simple dental appointment turned into an incredibly frustrating experience because of poor communication between the call center and the office and a lack of proper attention to the details of our appointment. This was completely unprofessional and unacceptable. I sincerely hope management takes responsibility and makes sure this does not happen to another family. People take time out of their schedules, arrange transportation, and bring their children to appointments expecting the office to do its part. The least patients deserve is accurate information and proper communication.

Fantastic experience: 100 percent recommend St. John Smiles. Dr. Gaikwad is absolutely incredible and skilled in what she does. Painless and smooth process from start to finish. Thomas did an excellent job assisting and making sure I’m well taken care of. Both Dr. Gaikwad and Thomas make an excellent team!

Negative experience: Honestly, the times I would come here are for a simple cleaning, and for some reason, I always come in 15 mins before my appointment, I’d be the only person in the waiting room and I would get called almost being there waiting for almost an hour if not more. This time I worked the courage to finally say something about it. What I’m trying to say is when they are scheduling people, to make sure there’s time in between appointments to get yourselves together and not have you patient have built up rage for waiting in a waiting room with radio music sitting alone

Negative experience: Olivia is so sweet! Calmed my nerves and was super gentle! However, the dentist- she was rude about the condition of my teeth, had a bad attitude and kept calling me by the wrong name after I corrected her three times. Won’t be back.

I'm very satisfied with her care and those services of this dental office. Dr. Jui is always awesome and amazing! I appreciate her professionalism, dental care and the suggestions that she recommends. My son has been very satisfied with the care from Dr. Jui as well. Mason the manager is the best! Great personality! This is such a great establishment. I love St John Smiles!

Negative experience: Asked to leave a review before even getting out of the chair! Notice negative reviews - office doesn’t engage but replies to only positive? Weird! I went in for a cleaning. Before I even got out of the chair and BEFORE the dentist even came in… I was asked to leave a review. The receptionist came back after my cleaning and handed me a water with a QR code to leave a review and an iPad so they can watch me leave the review…. I kindly outlined I will not be leaving a review at this time and I will do so after my full experience at the office. I then handed the iPad back. They then pushed the iPad back at me with an insincere smile and said, “your cleaning was good, you can leave a review so you don’t forget!” I kindly gave the iPad back and declined. The office had a weird vibe. I’ll never go back there - don’t ask people for positive reviews before they leave your office. It’s tacky.

Negative experience: Horrible unsanitary facility not sure if they use sterilized equipment had dental work done evaluation cleaning and a filling fell out and I've nothing but problems with my teeth since visiting this so called dental office my teeth and gums have been irritated and sensitive since.I will be reporting them to the Attorney General office and I've also reported them to the Dental Association

Negative experience: Went in for my first visit and they took all these photos of my teeth. Then the doctor came in to examine my teeth and then goes on to say my tooth was so decayed that I needed either an implant that would cost 7k or a bridge that would cost me 5K or pull it. They were like in a rush for me to put money down and I'm like nah I'll think about it. Went back to my original dentist and look they can save my tooth. Get a second opinion before having this take all your money.

From the moment I arrived, I was warmly greeted by the front office staff, who had everything well organized—confirming that my online patient history documents were received and in order, and that my insurance coverage had already been verified and accepted. I was then introduced to Sara, my hygienist, who conducted a very thorough new-patient examination. This included new X-rays, photographs, and a comprehensive review of my dental and health history. The visit continued with a dental cleaning done using the traditional paste and polisher method, which I personally prefer over newer sonic-style cleanings. Following the exam and cleaning, Sara reviewed my case with Dr. Megan, who was clearly well prepared and already familiar with my history. Dr. Mega and I established an easy rapport and discussed a thoughtful plan of care moving forward. Overall, I was genuinely delighted with my initial visit. The entire team was professional, welcoming, and well coordinated. I would confidently recommend St. John Smiles to anyone seeking a new dental care provider.

Negative experience: Well, don't trust these people. Don't be there " Lab Rat " and can't be trusted. Charged $1700 dollars for 2 bone grafts that never which my insurance PAID. When I got that statement from my insurance company I was In shock when they sent that check. I immediately called my insurance and told them it NEVER happened just my 2 teeth were pulled. The insurance lady said they were going to look into it. I went to the dentist and kinda got into an argument with the secretary claiming it was not done but she was not there getting my teeth pulled. The doctor did not come out to speak with me about it. So, another issue was $800 dollars for just one side gum treatment cleaning that took only 20 minutes. When I had gum treatment at another dentist it took at least a few hours because they did everything they needed to be done. The hygienist here at Saint John Dentist just used a high powered water air brush and laser cleaning. Didn't do anything compared to the other one. Anyway, really watch and get to know know a place before you put your trust in them. Just because they advertise a lot of work they could do doesn't mean they can. Don't be there Lab Rat. I am not saying anything bad but speaking the truth.

Negative experience: Assured me optional preventative procedure was covered by insurance, three months later we get a bill for $300. We brought this to their attention and they refuse to accept responsibility. They pressed us to get the optional procedure, told us it was 100% covered by our insurance, then when the bill comes refuses any responsibility. Finding a different dentist.

Fantastic experience: St. John Smiles is one of the best dental care places I've been to for implants and tooth care. Staff members Jodi LaFaive the doctors and Jui Gaikwad are kind and compassionate. The office staff is always approachable and knowledgeable. It's a pain free joy to go here.

Negative experience: I unfortunately had multiple bad experiences here. First, the receptionist insisted that I needed confirmation from my doctor when I informed her that I did not want X-rays done while being pregnant. Next, my husband was told during his routine cleaning visit that they checked his teeth and would see if they had time to clean them. I’ve never heard that during a visit that was scheduled specifically for a cleaning. Last, just days before my daughter’s appointment, I randomly received an email confirmation for another appointment for her. They rescheduled my appointment without my knowledge. When I called to see what was going on, I was told they were fully booked for the day she was initially scheduled, and that appointment was scheduled 6 months in advance. I’m now going elsewhere. I don’t have time for chaos every single visit.

Fantastic experience: Very friendly. Clean and efficient office. Very happy with my experience so far. I have had work by 2 dentists, Dr. Raj and Dr. Zui and they are both excellent. No pain. Ann, the hygienist is excellent and so friendly. I really felt at ease with her. I recommend this office to everyone. Today i had Alana and she is an excellent hygienist. Would recommend.

Negative experience: I went in because my tooth was bothering me thought i could get it done before i had my knee replacement. Dr came and said we have other areas that need work. Thats not why im here i want the tooth done that was bothering me. Needless to say it didnt get done. You do need to watch the billing though. I was billed for services that are negotiated with ins. I don't owe that. Trying to get someone to call you back is very hard. They owe me money since I paid it . I already found a new dentist.
