Positive experience: It was my first time at this location. The staff are very nice, but the wait was absolutely ridiculous. My appointment was at 9:30 a.m. (mind you, I arrived early just in case I had to fill out paperwork), and I didn't get seen until 11 a.m. They didn't give me paperwork to fill out until an hour later when they could have given it to me as I walked in. As a new patient, they didn't make a good impression. I ended up leaving at 12 p.m. just for an X-ray and to talk to the hygienist. They really have to work on honoring people's appointment times. No one likes their time being wasted. I will say the doctor and hygienist are knowledgeable, but I'm not sure if I will return due to such a long wait time.

Fantastic experience: I just transferred to this dentist and I'm happy with the service I have been receiving. Glad I made the change!

Negative experience: My experience on 5-11-26 was horrible. My appointment was at 10:00AM, got there at 9:30, they called me for x-rays at 11:30, after that they took me in a room to wait for the doctor, 12:30 came and the doctor never came. I just walked out. They did something similar on 12-24-25. I went for a cleaning, they took x-rays then took me in a room to wait for the doctor. The doctor came and said all looks good that someone will be with me shortly. Someone came and told me to go to the front and make an appointment for the cleaning, I asked what about the cleaning. She said that the person whom do that decided to stay home to cook tamales. They are horrible the only thing they do well is reaping people off with work not done properly. I am saying this because they ripped my wife off with 12000, she keep complaining and at last they told her she needed to pay $3000 more to correct the problem. The problem she originally has gone there to be corrected. They suck!

Negative experience: Worst dental experience ever. They made me come back like 3 different times because they kept not getting to me in time before lunch. Procedures are expensive and mostly everyone was slow and mean. Do not recommend this dentist if you have a choice.

Negative experience: Your receptionist needs to work on her customer service. She’s extremely rude yelled at me over the phone. I had to call four times For someone to answer me. My son had to wait over two hours for them to even do anything.

Negative experience: Honestly i’m not really the type to write reviews but I had an appointment at 9:00 am and wasn’t seen until 10… I also work healthcare so I know how this goes, I get it, they can run behind but they can atleast let you know as a courtesy how long they’re running behind so you know how much longer you’ll have to wait. The hygienist was great though super helpful and attentive. Also after you’re done with the treatment you still have to wait so they can schedule you for your next appointment which took another 20 mins and i didn’t even get to schedule it because of how long it took. Just overall not the best experience time wise.

Positive experience: The only reason I come to this office is because my dentist is good and the hygienists are great. The front office staff aren’t warm at all. There’s older woman with the glasses is sweet and the appointment maker but the other staff are very snotty. I’ve called to cancel my appointment wax kept on hold for over 20 mins, called back and was hung up on… then called back and got a sensible person..There also needs to be some diversity in this establishment. All staff are Hispanics no blacks at all anymore.

Negative experience: Came in for my 8am appointment at 8:13 and waited over an hour just to not be seen, front desk spoke with a ortho member and decided to proceed with the patient for the 9am appointment. I overheard something about my procedure taking well over an hour, they insisted on rescheduling out of inconvenience but they don’t behave like they value others time. That seemed like an obvious cherry pick for the quickest buck. I had to drive out on more than one occasion lose more time and gas and I still have yet to be treated. Seems like logistics are janky at this location not sure if this is true but specialists are based in the county so I couldn’t get better care even if I drove out further. Just thought I’d share my experience since others have had similar unpleasant experiences in recent events.

Negative experience: This place loves to overcharge your insurance, how can you have a dentist perform x-rays and an oral exam; the dentist tells you everything looks good but then have a hygiene doctor come in and try to charge your insurance for $4200 because she recommended a deep cleaning of all 4 quadrants and a laser cleaning. There were no measurements of gums, no signs of gum recession, plaque build up, or deep pockets but yet they want to recommend a cleaning in which they numb your entire mouth and scrape the inside of your gums and then perform a laser cleaning right after. All so that they can collect a fat check from your insurance.

Fantastic experience: Staff were very kind and everything went smooth. I had a tooth pulled, They had to Sedate me. Before I knew it I didn’t even know they put me out. It was already time to go.

They are very respect and nice .The dentist and all his team are very friendly .I recommend this dentist 100% . It’s clean and they are fast not like other dentist where you wait for hours it’s a in and out so cool .

Negative experience: If I could give this place 0 stars I would. I have no issues with the clinical team. My daughters have been seeing the pediatric dentist for a while now and he’s great along with his team. My issues are with the front dept, manager and the billing dept. I currently have a bill with them for a few hundred dollars because they saw my daughter twice with no prior authorization/referral. Also, they failed to inform me that once my daughter reaches the age of 6, her insurance no longer covers pediatric dentistry, she needs to see general dentist. And they saw her twice after she turned 6. I filed a grievance with my insurance to hopefully get their mistakes resolved. I called their manager Ingrid and she was no help and seemed like she had no compassion or took responsibility for her staff’s mistakes. I’ve called their corporate office multiple times as well during business hours and no one ever answers. I’ve left multiple voicemails.

Negative experience: I’ve been going to this location ever since I was a child and I’ve never had a bad experience until recently. The dentist and their team are amazing, and professional. The only reason why I will never go back to this location is the front desk. Every time I walk in for a procedure they tell me what my insurance covers and what I will owe, I pay my part and weeks later I get another bill saying I owe money. I currently have one bill that is on going and has yet to be resolved, it’s been a year or more. This led me to filing a complaint to corporate because I’m not the only one this has happened to. I’ve gone in person, called multiple times, to the office & insurance. My mother has gone in person on my behalf because I’m in nursing school and the girls gave her attitude saying I needed to go myself, but I don’t have time to go everyday until they do their job. The manager Ingrid isn’t a help either, if she was “managing” she would ensure files/proof would be sent right away or that these mistakes don’t occur again along with communicating the process and why we receive bills weeks later. I don’t understand why they are working in the healthcare field if they lack communication, patience, professionalism and compassion. I highly don’t recommend this place unless you want your high blood pressure to be raised.

Fantastic experience: This location is my favorite Bright Now. Great service at the front desk all the way to everyone in the back. Hector is the most pleasant Dentist I have ever come across, he's honest & understanding in the dental state of your being. I'm thankful for that as going to the dentist has been a challenge for me. Thank you to this location.

Negative experience: Been on hold for 20 min and still as we speak . Last picked up the phone laughing then quickly placed me on hold . 8/6/2025 10 am -time Horrible customer service . Let’s see if they release the hold and start doing there job

Negative experience: You have to wait 2 hours for your review and they give you very long-term appointments that after you already have your appointment and you show up, the receptionists no longer remember what your appointment is!!!

Negative experience: Orthodontist Department. 50% of the time its decent. Past few months have been no good. One month they canceled her appointment due to technology not working in the office. Today we have waited one hour so far. Apparently, its the same ortho team throughout L.A. County so I can't even drive out somewhere farther to look for better service. Never any appointments if there is a change in the office or our schedule. They should consider adding more team members. Despite that, the employees are nice.

Negative experience: Even though I had an appt., I had to wait almost an hour for my little one to be seen. The dentist literally just took a look at the teeth and said to keep brushing. The girls at the front weren’t too welcoming.

Fantastic experience: My experience was superb. Everyone that I encountered made sure I was comfortable (without pain) and understood every step of my procedures. They accommodated my schedule/appointment request. They’re a wonderful group of professionals!!

Positive experience: My daughter chose this place because it's close to home. The lobby looks un kept, we arrived for her appointment early kept her waiting for about an hour past the appointment time. They went over prices only to tell her there were 2 patients ahead if her. Long story short her appointment was at 10 didn't get seen til about 1:30.

Fantastic experience: Had to schedule a last minute appointment with the pediatric specialist visit for my 10 y/o. Staff was very helpful with scheduling, in dealing with him being scared of the procedure (a tooth extraction), and in explaining billing. Wait time was short for this early morning appointment.

Negative experience: I can’t say that going here was a positive experience. This is a very dishonest practice. In February I was told I needed a deep cleaning. I was charged $220 and my insurance was charged $1800. The cleaning that I was provided was a standard 23 minute cleaning. There was no numbing, and cleaning was not completed in sections. There was absolutely no difference between this supposed “deep cleaning” and a standard cleaning. I know this because fast forward to August I scheduled a follow up to get a standard cleaning and realized it was exactly the same 23 minute cleaning I got 6 months ago. I mentioned this to the doctor and he himself was surprised and asked me directly if there was numbing and if it was completed in two separate sessions. Of course it was not. Shame on them. Even this past visit in August, they still tried to collect a $30 co-payment telling me that I was getting a different type of cleaning that included treatment for gum infection not just a standard cleaning. I’ve never had a gum infection in my life! There is a $0 copayment for a standard cleaning due to my insurance and even though they collected so much money from me and my insurance in February, that is still not enough for them. Beware of this practice and their tactics to offer you services you in fact don’t need to collect money from you. They collect the money and then don’t even complete the procedures but pretend to do so. Shameful.

Fantastic experience: Very clean and nice facility. Check in for appt is fast and easy. Dentists and hygienists are friendly and informative of treatment plans or regarding current dental health. Overall good experience, would recommend.

Fantastic experience: I was originally sent to this dental place as a referral to see a specialist. I loved how everyone was so nice and so patient to my care. They also have all the specialist there at there location so you don’t have to travel to other places to see a specialist. That same day I switched my general dentist to them.

Fantastic experience: Bright Now Dental is the best dental office I have ever visited. The staff is super friendly and they answer all your questions right there and then. There have a couple of changes with their practicing dentist but the three that i have treated by 3 within a 10 year time frame have been awesome!! I highly recommend Bright Now Dental in South Gate they are awesome!!

Negative experience: Horrible customer service. I can see why this place is rated so badly. If I could give less stars I would. DO NOT GO HERE. They do not care at all, they are so incredibly rude. Been trying to get treatment for weeks. Every time I call in for an update regarding approval from my insurance one of the girls tells me something different. Just tried calling literally right now for an update some girl answered, placed me on hold so she can "check" and hung up on me after 20 minutes. I'm trying to call back and now no one picks up. Disgusting service. Just called from two different numbers and guess what they answered like I said this place is a joke, don’t go here.

Negative experience: Made me miss work to bring my son to get two crowns placed in. He wasnt allowed to eat or drink anything because of the procedure. Then told he doesnt need anything and i expressed why have me starve my child, why delay his medication intake, the specialist said “i could put a crown in if you want” like what?!! That is extremely unprofessional. And even the x ray technician confirmed to not take his medication because the procedure was going to be done today. I wish they are able to pay for the waste of time that was spent.

Negative experience: Ive been coming to this location since I was a teen and every time they always making mistakes in the finance area I was lied to and given the wrong information. Until I notice a charge on my bank account higher than usual and they had submitted the paperwork and I was told verbally something else. Doctor Hector is the best its just his finance staff always doing mistakes on their end!

Fantastic experience: I haven’t been to the dentist for so long due to being afraid of bad service. It always hard finding a good dental place. I’m so glad I stumbled upon this place. The staff there are very polite and helpful. They did such a great job on my teeth.

Negative experience: I got there on time at 2:00 p.m. I waited for 45 minutes and nobody called me in so I had to go home and reschedule.

Negative experience: It's almost impossible to get a call back from the manager Ingrid as I have been trying to get a concern resolved since last week 2 weeks ago Friday and three times I have been told she would call me back since she was busy with patients but still no return call. Once I spoke to her and she said she would call me back herself. Still waiting...very disappointed with management.

Negative experience: Excessive waits - it takes over 5 weeks to see a hygienist for a simple cleaning. Also, they don’t accept cash, so if you don’t use banks or have credit cards with high limits, a huge inconvenience for you.

Negative experience: Honestly horrible ! Service . I regret so much getting my braces with this company . They made everything look so easy , having the appointments at our best convenience. Prior to getting my braces I explained that my working schedule was going to make it very difficult for the appointments how ever they made it seem they could make everyone’s schedule work around . I definitely can’t wait to removed them off . You can’t schedule more than 30 days ahead then they only have orthodontist on Fridays . Costumer service is horrible , they need to get a better phone or some one else that answers the phone I had to scream over the phone for an appointment.

Negative experience: If I could give them a 0 I would. Let’s begin my journey I went in cause I had a broken tooth and two infected teeth and instead of treating it they said I needed to wait and take antibiotics. They prescribed also ibuprofen but that wasn’t helping I called the 24/7 emergency line several times and I wouldn’t get a response. Eventually they took pity on me and prescribed Tylenol 3 mind you I had 3 bad teeth. They finally give me my appointment and because of the pain I’m in my blood pressure is a few numbers up, I explain to them that it’s because I’m in pain and rather than let me wait for the pain to pass they give me a letter to take to my primary care doctor to be cleared. I hate this because I am in pain and they did nothing to help. They care more about the money than anything sure at first when you show up and they tell you what you need they’re nice and once you tell them you can afford it they don’t take you as serious. Not to mention I asked for the tooth to be extracted and they kept asking me multiple times to re consider. I know what I wanted and could afford but they didn’t respect it. Do not go here to get service this is a dentist chain company that cares more about the money than the people.

Negative experience: Find some place that will take your time into consideration. If you have an appointment at a certain time expect to be there longer than an hour an a half. Expect to come back on another day for a cleaning because the hygienist only works Monday through Thursday and apparently they can’t schedule certain cleanings after 4:30 so if you can’t make it before 5 on a work day don’t bother coming here. Cleanings are also not guaranteed on the day of a check up so make sure you make a separate appointment for that too.

Negative experience: The girls in the front office don't do their job they don't verify the insurances and they don't even take the time to call and to tell you there's an issue with our insurances is ridiculous and to reschedule an appointment they had me waiting on the phone for 18 minutes unbelievable!

The hygienist always cancels on appointment day of i rescheduled my appointment once and they kept calling me day of appointment saying the hygienist wasn’t coming in cause she’s “sick” my claim supposedly expires today when they told me october 18th the receptionist have some ugly attitudes and aren’t helpful at all and i missed days of work to just get a call morning of appointment saying “oh the hygienists isn’t coming in today sorry” ridiculous and unprofessional, they don’t care about their patients or their time. i don’t know who hired the receptionists with bad attitudes but the bright now company should evaluate this site cause it’s completely absurd

Positive experience: 3 stars because I waited a long time just to be told a hygienist wasn’t in when I could have been called to be rescheduled ahead of time- I missed work for this and planned my entire day around being local for my visit and it was a very stressful moment on my end. I guess this is one not great experience (you can expect to have a wait most places) but staff and workers are friendly.

Fantastic experience: They are very professional. No waiting. They seem me on time. The dental hygienist is the best. She is very professional, I didn't have any pain at all.

Negative experience: Always a really long wait time. I always wait about an hour to get my x-rays completed. Then another for the dentist to complete the exam. Waited 3 hours this past Saturday for them to tell me they couldn’t do my cleaning and I would need to reschedule. They should always let you know up front that it’ll be an extra long wait time instead of wasting my time.

Fantastic experience: My daughter is super phobic of dentists. We went in for procedure and she freaked out. The pediatric specialist and his team were patient and encouraged her to get it done. The ortho team is also the best, Ruby is my girl! They are awesome!! They also have great flexible payment plans. 10/10

Negative experience: Very clean & nice work area but, Waited an hour just to be told what my insurance covers. Wanted to get charged for things my insurance should cover. Not even at my old dentrist would I get charged for cavity fillings. The lady who had me waiting for an hour doesn’t know how explain the insurance coverage and prices.

Negative experience: I called this place and asked them about there ability to property refer me because I was told by another dentist that I would need an oral surgeon. I did not want to be just handed a piece of paper and told "try here", that's is exactly what they did. Wasted my time with a 45 min drive and all my dental benefits (Medi-cal) causing me to pay the full price of another evaluation. The doctor they referred me to (right next door) told me nothing useful and tired to refer me. Literally this man did not touch me and hardly looked in my mouth. He gave me the old "I treat everyone like family" . Pathetic, both businesses. Then they wanted me to do a review right in the office for some teeth whiting stirps. I'm not 15, I'm 49.

Fantastic experience: I had a terrible pain across the side of my mouth. They were able to see me that same day, and they had the procedure done two days later. Happy to say I have been pain free since! The staff was super friendly the entire time, front office, nurses, doctors, all of them! They even have a benefits coordinator who explains your charges in detail before the procedure gets done, just to make sure you are okay with the cost or to help you with financing if needed. 5/5 experience!

Negative experience: I would never recommend this dentist. I arrived 15 minutes early for my 8am appointment. I was still sitting at 9:15. The staff is rude and really gave no explanation for the delay. They not respectful of peoples time. And wasted my time, and kindly walked out. They will not receive a penny of my money. The office is rude and lacks customer service skills.

Negative experience: If I could give this place ZERO stars I would. I have been traumatized by the horrible patient care here. They have done work incorrectly, ruined my crown and wanted me to pay for them to fix the work they ruined. The permanent crown they made was ripped off by one of their technicians and another flattened the crown but they will not take responsibility for it. The supervisor Ingrid needs to get fired, she by far has humiliated and been rude to every person that speaks to her, situations I have sadly witnessed and been a victim of. I will never go there again and will file reports with the dental board. Do not go there!

Fantastic experience: Nancy is AMAZING! I needed a deep cleaning and boy when I tell you my teeth are worse than cricket and she’s took her time and was very very patient with I’m som very pleased with her work! I’ve been coming here for the past 7 years and they do great every time. I’ll recommend this dentist to anybody who has sensitive gums like me!

Negative experience: This is our second intent for my mother to be seen for the first time. We were here last week for first time we wait for over an hour and I had to reschedule. They apologize and promise she was gonna be seen next time on time. Today Wednesday 2 June. Her appointment was schedule at 9.30. We arrived at 9 20, we are on the lobby still waiting and it is 10 17. WORST PLACE EVER

They make you wait two hours after your appointment those of other races that walks in after you gets called before you and you still have to wait. And then when you ask whats going on they say five minutes or they act like you shouldnt be asking that question. Front desk will always tell you five minutes and then still three people that walks in after you still gets called back to back while you still wait five minutes. Those that does "walk ins" will still come before you even if they walk in after. If you put that you have high blood pressure they will see that on the paper they will make you wait and wait and give you a hard time and then make you reschedule. Please find another dentist

Negative experience: Prepare to wait over an hour even with an appointment. I don’t know why they book an appointment when they are always behind. Also, not sure if it’s the assistant but when they call you inside she tells you what to do like if you were a dog. “Sit there, move there” no sense or urgency or being friendly. I understand we are in a pandemic and there is a delay with the appointments but there is way too many people in there at one point. Don’t over book. Won’t be hongo back, go elsewhere.
