Fantastic experience: Came in for a cleaning and whitening consult. Shavika and Kayla were great at communicating what each steps were. One of the machines were down for my scan so I’ll be coming back. Over all, I will be recommending friends and family to come here. Tiffany up front has always been super nice while checking me in and out from each visit.

Fantastic experience: Came in the office after a long day at work and was greeted with so much kindness from Jeralyn she made the experience great superb customer service thanks kids Dental plus!

Positive experience: It is SO hard to find a good dental office and staff when choosing a provider with Medi-Cal. Luckily enough, this place has been the best yet! The staff are very nice and helpful. The doctor here is friendly and communicative so I always feel like I’m leaving with the best care. The only downside is my appointment being rescheduled or having to book out so far in advance. However, I’d take these inconveniences over any other difficulties in other offices.

Fantastic experience: First time visiting and I have to say the whole atmosphere at the office is great!! Got a warm greeting from Sam & Shawn upon entering, and they were happy to help us. From X-rays to financials each person I encountered was very kind and knowledgeable. Especially Tiffany! They are also great with children - observation only, as mine are grown.

Negative experience: This is the absolute worst dental practice I have ever experienced. I don’t know how they are even in business. Avoid at all cost plenty of other better places in elk Grove. This place sucks and their staff and customer service are the worst.

Negative experience: Unprofessional and Zero Regard for Patients I would give this office zero stars if I could. This is easily the worst customer service experience I have ever had. After waiting over eight months for my scheduled appointment, the office called and rescheduled me twice. To make matters worse, they then claimed there was a "scheduling conflict" and told me the next available opening isn't until August—another eight-month wait. It is completely unprofessional to keep a patient waiting for nearly a year, only to bump them to the back of the line because of their own internal scheduling errors. They clearly do not value their patients’ time or well-being. I have no idea how they are still in business with this level of incompetence. Avoid Smile Dental at all costs.

Fantastic experience: I can’t say enough positive things about smile time dental in Elk Grove. I had terrible pain and called in as a first time client thankfully they were able to get me in right away. The front desk staff is very friendly and helpful!!! I had Gina as my hygienist and she was wonderful!!!! Gina explained the treatment plan very thoroughly and she was so kind!! I will definitely be a returning patient at I this location. Thank you all very much for your help, I truly appreciate it.

Negative experience: If I were you, I would steer clear of this place. I was lied to repeatedly and by at least a hand full of people. Different types of lies, but for the same end goal, make patients pay for services they don't need or pay more than they should. Time will tell if the periodontist lied too. I need to find a new one because there is no way in hell I would have them do any work on me! It started when I was trying to get my referral processed. They kept telling me I would need a deep cleaning to see the periodontist. I thought that was ridiculous! I don't need a deep cleaning. I was referred for a specific reason and needed an evaluation. If I needed a deep cleaning my dentist could do it. I even asked my dentist office, they said they never heard of such a thing. Once I told Smile Time, their story changed. The day of the appointment I arrived 15 minutes early and paid my copay/coinsurance or so I thought. I asked for a receipt, but they then rushed me to answer about 200 medical questions. Not exaggerating! I did paperwork online why did they have so much more in office? Then some other form about imaging, which didn't make sense because there was a dollar amount they never mentioned. Also seemed generic, why do imaging just to look at my gums near two teeth? I think this was all intentional to overwhelm patients and to get them to rush and agree to things that didn't make sense. I get brought back and the technician was going to have me get a panoramic X-ray done. I stopped her and said, "I don't think my insurance will cover this. I think I had one recently." She went to the front desk. Comes back and says it's covered. It was not! I was lied to again. Turned out I had already paid for it. That copay was primarily the imaging that they already knew my insurance would not cover. I liked the periodontist, but his level of honesty is still questionable until I get another opinion. I sat in the waiting room as they determine my plan and dental coverage. They tell me my insurance doesn't cover the procedures and want me to pay over $3,500. I tell them I will have to think about it. When I speak to my insurance I discovered it would all be covered at 80% and no one had contacted them for coverage. That is also when I learned that I paid for the panaramic because they had denied it. I think Smile Time lied about my coverage to make more money by denying patients like me, the use of their dental insurance. I called to complain about all the dishonesty and that I want to be reimbursed for the panaramic that I was lied to about. I was told that the office manager would call me. That was days ago. Not ethical and definitely not an honest practice! Update: At two weeks. I went to the office to complain directly. I got no where. This morning someone called and told me it was a miscommunication regarding the panoramic X-ray because it was only "covered" because I had already paid for it as part of my copay. He also apologized that it wasn't communicated what I was paying for. Yet the entire time he's called it my "copay." It's not a copay that I paid. Most of what I paid was a denied service. He also tried to say my insurance wouldn't cover the recommended procedure. I believe my insurance over them. Given my insurance also said they saw no notes that anyone had contacted them for information. Regarding the deep cleaning, he apologized and said he would speak to them. With all the apologies, I told him, "that still doesn't give me the money I paid for an unnecessary panoramic. Images could have come from my dentist." He managed to get the charge reversed. I told him that still doesn't resolve everything because now I also have trauma to my gums and a dentist appointment to pay for. The periodontist had been poking aggressively around showing me things in the mirror. Despite me groaning in pain he kept doing it. I have been sore ever since. I ignored this until recently. I discovered painful bumps under my teeth. I am taking antibiotics.

Negative experience: Very disappointed with how this office handled my situation. I missed an appointment today because my daughter was sick and I was at the doctor with her. Instead of any understanding or attempt to reschedule, I received an email dismissing me from the practice altogether. Life happens—especially when you’re a parent—and I expected more compassion and professionalism. Unfortunately, this experience showed a lack of flexibility and empathy toward patients.

Negative experience: I wasted a week in these guys in trying to get somewhere between the insurance company listing them as an accepted provider.amd setting them as my dental home. However upon calling the dentist office they said we o my accept the medi-cal version of dentaquest..which is not true per the I surance company. The insurance company confirmed they are an in network provider for the plan I am on. Later I call back dentists office lady now says that they do accept the kids for the hmo california network of dentist HMO. So I booked appointment. After booking the appointment, the billing team however relays a message a day later to let the lady know there is co-pays of 200 for a general first patient cleaning and i.need a referral from.another dentist???. How do I get a referral from another dentist..when this dentist is suppose to be my home dentist per the insurance companies website, Especially for pediatrics...seems they do not want to to accept the CDN dentaquest hmo, since e there only get paid flat fee from them. They are discriminating and only taking the types of insurance plans that make money for them. The insurance I have includes a cleaning, but wanted to charge 200 for copay. Later come to find out they did not check with my insurance at all. I am at a loss at how some dentist offices can and are allowed to do this? I get excuses that do not make sense either. They do not treat all people the same.

Negative experience: Been taking my kids to smile time for 16 years!! The last 5 years been horrible!! I don't know why we keep on coming back. Lobby feels like a hs gym. No seats, they have 2 clinic squeeze into 1 so no telling who you need to talk to. Parking lot is non-existent. Pretty much park at IHOP. Some dental assistants don't listen whe. You tell them your kids has a strong gage reflex. When you ask for the person that you know works well for your child they brush you off. Takes them 45 min-1hr to check your insurance. By the time they actually get things right it's past your appointment time so now you gotta make another appointment to come back in a few days promising you that they will get the issue check out before you arrive. They don't!! So now you have to waste 3 different days at this place. If you're looking for a dentist for your kids just skip this place. Only good thing about this place is that In n Out is in the same parking lot. Just no

Negative experience: The staff are young and inexperienced, probably interns, students, or new grads used as cheap labor for the company. I felt they seem to care most about money and pushing pricey treatments. The x-ray showed one of my teeth had a large cavity and the dentist insisted I needed a crown right away without discussing alternatives. He looks very young, always seems busy, and hard to get hold of as if explaining to me was a waste of his time. That made me think he probably just wanted more experience and money from crowns. I ended up going to a smaller practice for a second opinion, and that dentist fixed my tooth with a filling!!! Also both times I went back for fillings, they used anesthesia, which felt unnecessary and just another way to bill more. And one time, the assistant almost injected the wrong side of my mouth - I had to stop him and remind him it should be the other side. That really worried me! Great energy overall, but their lack of experience shows.

Negative experience: I had a disappointing experience at this dental clinic. The temporary filling was not done properly and caused me significant pain. When I returned, I was told there was no option except to wait for the permanent crown, and they did not fix the issue or provide any pain medication. The pain has lasted four continuous days, and my concerns were not taken seriously. I expected much better care.

Negative experience: The worst customer service, and extremely rude, mean, and incompetent employees including the manager. They don’t treat patients equally, and respectfully which means they deserve the same treatment. They are lazy, and irresponsible when it comes to patients paperwork. It will take them forever to process your referrals , and you will be notified of the process. Their customer service is off shore, and that customer service not only sucks, but extremely frustrating because you will be on hold for hours. They provide false information, and will waste your time. They are located in E Stockton Elk Grove , CA. The clinic is big, well decorated, but there is no enough seats for patients plus their guardians to set , and wait for their turn to be seen. Also not enough computers for sing in, and filling out the important paperwork which should be filled out before your appointment. They show that they are kids friendly by having some sort of games , and toy for kids, but unfortunately they yell , and scream at kids while the parents or guardians away to fill out the paperwork or leave to use the restrooms which is mean, and unacceptable.The hygiene is not as bad compare to other dental office in this area which is good including the bathrooms. You need to call, and schedule appointment walk ins are welcome, but you need to wait for a crazy amount of time which is annoying. Anyways there is a long waiting time even if you scheduled an appointment which is crazy. Yes ! They are wheelchair accessible, but the seats are not that much comfy for physically disabled patients, so use your own accommodation. The parking lot is small , and you can’t find parking spaces easily better to go early in case of not finding parking spot easily, and miss your appointment. My experience was worst because of their incompetency I was not seen, send home back without seeing any dentists. Yes , everything was good on my end , but they were lazy to notify me before coming to my appointment , so that is why I’m not recommending this Dental Clinic to anyone, and will never come again. Please save yourself time , energy, and gas, and find another dentist who cares about patients not wasting their time.

There appointments are on time, services are great and there staff, especially Tiffany and Jannenne they both are great staff members who is helpful and supportive with my family.

Fantastic experience: This place is marvelous when I came in here.I witnessed the reception tiffany having a altercation with a patient. The way she handled this lady was Extra professional She didn't get loud She didn't lose her temper and the lady got the help.She needed even though the lady was rude.And very mean to the reception is Tiffany she kept her cool the whole time and didn't embarrass the lady or call a scene. After I was seen by the dentist, when I was leaving tanner was the young man that checked me out at the counter.And he was very professional.And put my mind at ease about what was going to happen. He gave me step by step of what I was going to go through which gave my mind in my heart.A lot of ease. These two people are great assets to this company.

Negative experience: their paperwork asks you to sign that you agree to something before you're ready. sign that you've been informed about some costs when you haven't. they tell you to sign that you approve of and are happy with the work they've done while you're still numb and can't tell. the people are nice enough, but their practices frustrated me to no end.

Negative experience: I went on May be I had a chipped tooth the thing is I just had some work done in the same tooth I was scare of losing my tooth thinking my tooth was not healthy I called and made an appointment I arrived everything was good I explained it to the doctor he told me my tooth was fine and I just needed a little filling I let him do his job it was one of my front teeth when I got to my car I noticed that he made both of my teeth shorter and round and one of them was shorter than the other one I try to call and make a complaint because the chipped tooth didn’t look bad I was just afraid that the tooth was not healthy and now my smile look horrible I try to make an appointment and they keep canceling I’m not asking for a smile design I’m just just want them to at lest have the same Leigh here are some before and after pictures Update: this was back at the beginning of May, is already September 22nd and they keep Canceling my appointment such a disappointment

Positive experience: I am really happy of their work. Doctors nurses everyone is doing excellent job. But this lady Tiffany i don’t know why and for what reason she hold me for 1 hour to schedule another appointment for me while i got the crown prep done i couldn’t even stand for that long then some other nice lady saw me waiting for very long so she took me inside her office and helped me out. Please improve your desk employees the rest of the facility is brilliant

Negative experience: this dentist is THE WORST! i went there for 6 years are never had a good experience. they constantly canceled appointments without my knowledge, excepting me to pay the cancellation fees even though they double book. they do unnecessary procedures causing you to pay thousands. i was told i had 19 cavities, then at my new dentist told me i barely had any. they will fill the small cavities first letting the bigger ones turn into root canals. they don’t have nitrous oxide (laughing gas) unless you push. they are so mean and shame you when you have anything wrong, they are NOT nice people. after we left, they called us 2 YEARS later telling us we didn’t pay for one of the many procedures, which we always did! they made as many appointments as they could only doing 2 cavities at a time. you have to pay more for anesthesia and the appointment in general. they overcharge up the wazoo!!

Fantastic experience: I want to give a huge shoutout to Tiffany at Smile Time dental! From the moment I walked in, they greeted me with a warm smile and made the entire check-in process seamless. They were incredibly helpful, answering all my questions with patience and professionalism.

Negative experience: Poorly done fillings! The staff pushed me to have my back teeth extracted ( apparently they were useless) my teeth had absolutely no problem. I initially went for teeth cleaning and I was asked to do a full Mouth scan, I was billed for 12 fillings ( that were poorly done ) my insurance rejected most of the bill and after I went back shortly after to have them fix the gaps in the between my teeth due to the discomfort, I was told it should take about 2 to four weeks but the it was still uncomfortable. When I went back after four weeks, I was asked to pay another fee to see the dentist to fix this mess I felt rushed , and ripped off ( 800 usd for a crown , plus a bill of about 5000 usd

Positive experience: The good thing is they take kids and adult. Have kids games for waiting too. They get the job done and do explain the cleaning procedure afterwards. They are willing to squeeze your appointments in sooner date's. The bad thing is you still have to wait 40min pass your appointment time and not enough chairs in the lobby.

Negative experience: I was referred to Smile Dental from Access dental. Lengthy intake. Their voice-mail says they accept Access liberty dental. Then later phone calls state they do not. Some type of cash petitions out of pocket . Fraud case misleading.

Negative experience: The only thing they’re good at is extracting cash for duplicate services and covering the corporate behind with legal documents. All employees look rushed and harried, incorrect billing, unable to meet treatment plans, surprise fees.

Negative experience: If I could give a 0 star to this place, I would. I had to comeback multiple times for a crown adjustment, and didn’t get it fixed. I had pay another dentist for the same crown. They taken incorrect measurements of the crown that was higher than the rest of teeth and even after multiple adjustments, it was still higher.

Negative experience: Avoid. They render unnecessary services for cleanings that most insurance does not cover. They don’t tell you that it’s optional. They schedule appts that are not necessary which causes your insurance to not approve. They don’t tell you anything until day of the appt. Then it’s you that have to pay. They need to be better when it comes to delegating bills with insurance.

Negative experience: Extremely shady practice. I would give 0 star if I could. First, their billing department gave me a quote of about 10 grand for each of my parents to have their teeth extracted and possible bone graft. I asked how much is being covered by insurance and the response was "This already takes into account the amount covered by the insurance. The amount here is your out-of-pocket responsibilities." I asked for an itemized list of the treatment plan with the billing code then called my insurance and went over the entire treatment plan with the insurance representative. The out-of-pocket amount I should be responsible for is around $2500. I called and talk to another billing representative from Smile Time Dental who now says the amount quoted on the treatment plan is for cash pay patients and if I have insurance it will be less as per insurance benefits. I went ahead and book the oral surgical consultation as recommended by the treatment plan and waited over 2 months only to have them call me 1 week before the appointment to tell me that the oral surgeons they booked me with are part of their sister company but are not contracted with my insurance. I asked if this was a new development and when did the change in contract take place. The response was, they were never part of the network to begin with and it has always been that way. If I want to keep the appointment, I would have to pay cash. If the company knew that the surgeons they referred me to was not part of the network, should they not disclose such financially important information? I can only assume they did not disclose it at the beginning because they were hoping that I would just cave and pay out of pocket since I don't want to restart the process and wait any longer. Needless to say, I cancelled my appointments. Beware! Know your insurance benefits and your financial obligations when working with them.

Fantastic experience: I want to leave my review about the best dentistry in America. I have been going to them for several months, and I can say that this is the best experience of visiting a dentist in my life, and I am almost 28. I want to express my gratitude from the bottom of my heart to all the employees without exception who make people happy every day. Starting from the reception, everyone, assistants, doctors, the entire staff. God bless you for your endlessly grateful and honest work!!!!!

Negative experience: Management added an unnecessary mouth wash to cleanings for $70. So now with Delta Care USA you have to pay an extra $70. Don’t bother coming here since management is greedy. Try sticking with a PPO plan if you can and go with a good dentist. Also I wanted to mention a couple more things since I was went here for years growing up. One of the dentists there looked at my mom and asked what she thought about 9/11. My mom has a hijab so we were just speechless. The dental hygienist apologized on behalf of him. They were trying to sell us on jaw surgery too when I was a kid too. My jaw looks fine. It’s a very minor underbite but it rubbed me the wrong way.

Fantastic experience: The X-ray tech Warren was amazing! I have a lot of anxiety with dental X-rays and he made me feel comfortable. He was very kind, fast and respectful of my anxiety. Thank you!

Negative experience: I wish I could give the office a 5 star review but unfortunately in good faith I can not. When I was presented with my option for a deep clean I understood what that meant and I knew that my insurance is not the best and I would probably be charged. The doctor did a fantastic clean and I love the outcome. But I was charged $196 for a preventative medicine that is comparative to a $30 prescription mouth wash and xylitol which is found in some gums. The facility was great but from what I know about pharmaceuticals I know that dentist have been prescribing this mouth wash for many many years and I wish I would have been presented with that option, but instead I was told that my ONLY option was a deep clean (which was covered by my insurance ) with the “preventative medicine”. When I called to ask if I can have it removed for future appointments they said yes. So now I’m out $196 which is completely my fault for not doing my research in time but was told that I could not do anything else. They ushered me to a room with a representative that told me I could not do just the deep clean putting pressure on me to agree. It was extremely uncomfortable. Which is extremely unfortunate because the atmosphere is great and the staff is amazing. I know that they are not the ones directly scamming me and others but they play into a system that is. So if you go and you are presented with the option of Cerivtec just know that you can in fact deny that and still get the deep cleaning. It was very misleading and fortunately I have the knowledge to know for the future but I did fall victim to them this time. Update : I will not be returning as they are stating that the Cervitec is in fact required. Even though for MANY MANY MANY years people had a deep cleaning and did not have this medicine but neither here nor there. Just no if you require a deep clean and your insurance doesn’t cover the “preventive medicine” they do not give you any other option and will make you uncomfortable. I’m on the phone with my insurance provider changing my provider and I recommend to everyone that you do that same and keep your money safe
