Experiencia negativa: I left a 5 star review a year ago and I stand by it for that time. Unfortunately, things have changed since then. Both stellar dentists - Dr Sergerie and Dr Solomon - have retired. The business was purchased by a corporation and it feels like it. There’s a new dentist. I don’t know anything about her and won’t be sticking around to see if she’s any good. There is something to be said for the YEARS of experience both of the original dentists brought to the practice and that patients benefitted from. I’ll admit I’m a dental coward at the worst level . I have a genuine phobia that is difficult to overcome. Dr Sergerie understood and prescribed something to help me prior to dental visits. Over time, I was no longer terrified to see her. Moreover, her talent was extraordinary. Everyone eventually retires. My issue is not with that. My issue is with the corporate decision to tell no patients enough in advance to schedule appts before either Dr left. It would have given patients time to consider whether to stay and if not, time to find someone else. I can only guess that, in true corporate mentality, there were instructions to not mention either departure for selfish monetary business reasons. With the absence of such amazing, talented, experienced, rockstar dentists, and the failure to consider the needs of clients over their own gain, this practice is likely to become just like every other corporately owned practice. Just know that the amazing stellar reviews came BEFORE these dentists left. What happens from here remains to be seen. But not by me.

Experiencia negativa: I would not recommend this office to anyone looking for honest dental care. My husband purchased a dental plan that included two regular cleanings per year. When he arrived for his scheduled cleaning, he was told they would not perform the cleaning he had already paid for unless he first agreed to an expensive deep cleaning. Wanting a second opinion, he visited another dental office. The dentist there examined him and said a deep cleaning was not necessary. During that visit, he also asked about a crown that this office claimed needed to be replaced. The second dentist confirmed there was no problem with the crown and no reason to replace it. My husband then called back and explained that he did not want a deep cleaning. He simply wanted the regular cleaning that was included in the plan he had already paid for. The office refused. They insisted that he had to pay extra for a deep cleaning and would not provide the service covered by his membership. Being denied a service that was already paid for unless additional money is spent feels completely unacceptable. Patients should have the right to make informed decisions about their treatment, especially when another licensed dentist has confirmed that the recommended procedures are unnecessary. When Dr. Solomon owned this practice, it was always a pleasure to work with the office. Since the ownership changed, our experience has been completely different. It feels like the focus has shifted from patient care to selling higher-priced treatments. We paid for a plan, were denied the benefits of that plan, and were pressured into unnecessary services. I would not recommend this office to anyone looking for honest dental care.

She explains everything, she doesn’t upsell, and she only recommends what you truly need. After experiences with bigger dental chains, her minimalist, commonsense approach feels like a breath of fresh air. Her hygienists are wonderful—gentle, thorough, and genuinely pleasant—and the entire staff is consistently kind and reasonable. The whole place runs with a calm confidence that puts you at ease. And then there’s my favorite part: every window looks out onto bird feeders. While you’re waiting, you’re treated to a parade of Texas birds swooping in like they’re auditioning for a nature documentary. It’s small, it’s simple, and it’s unexpectedly delightful. All in all, a fantastic practice. If you’re looking for a dentist who is skilled, trustworthy, and truly cares, Sagewood Dental is it.

Experiencia positiva: Edit: it’s been 6-7 months and I have yet to receive my insurance check…. I’ve been going to this office for a while and have always had great experiences with the actual dental care. Everyone is kind, and the services themselves have been excellent. That said, I was really disappointed with how a recent billing change was handled. I wasn’t told ahead of time that I would need to pay out of pocket and get reimbursed by insurance later, which caught me completely off guard, especially when I was charged $289 after the appointment with no warning. I found out later they sent an email about this policy change, but it went to my spam folder, and no one mentioned it when I booked or checked in. I had to use money I had set aside for groceries to cover the unexpected charge, and when I called to express my concern, the response felt dismissive. I expected clearer communication from a place I’ve trusted for so long. I’m still giving credit where it’s due, the dental care itself is great, but I hope they improve how they notify patients about major policy changes, especially when it impacts people’s finances.

The work was well done and is healing well. The thing that struck me when they were working though was the amount of respect each team member has for each other. Experiencia negativa: I’m writing this review to express my concerns regarding the recent confusion with our billing and invoices. Both my daughter and I are patients at this office and share the same insurance. I later recommended their services to my husband, who has a different insurance plan and company. Their billing invoices are always confusing but since my husband joined, the billing process has become increasingly more confusing. I have received inconsistent explanations from different staff members regarding our accounts. Recently, I was told that a family plan was created for us—something I did not consent to. This has led to our invoices being bundled together, which has made it difficult to understand the bills. At one point, I was informed that my husband had a credit balance on his account. However, I was later surprised to receive a bill under my name, which turned out to be for my husband when I called to ask for itemized receipts. When I called again to clarify, I was told that the previous information about the credit was a mistake. These billing mistakes have caused me to lose confidence in this practice. I have decided to leave this office. Update after their response: I was Dr. Solomon's patients for the past two years.

Experiencia negativa: I’ve been going here for a while. The dentists/ dental hygienists here are amazing and always have taken excellent care of me. However, I will not be going here anymore after today. Make sure you ask about insurance, was charged $330 for a teeth cleaning because they failed to tell me they don’t accept my insurance after falling off of my parents.They let me go through my appointment before telling me. I feel incredibly deceived and disappointed at their communication on this.

I’m not the easiest patient, yet my experience with Dr. Carin Solomon and her assistant, Bessie, was outstanding. I was especially struck by the seamless teamwork between them; Bessie was always prepared with the right instrument, and Dr. Solomon would respond with a gracious “thank you.” It was unexpected and charming to see the genuine appreciation Dr. Solomon had for her assistant. My hygienist, Dorcas, is also a gem at Sagewood Dental.

From the start Dr Sergerie 's manner was reassuring. She ran a few tests - found where I need a little novocaine - no pain. Tucked in the woods, it’s almost like going to visit a friend, but when you go in and meet Carol, it’s like home. Dr. Sergerie was so good in figuring out what I needed. Aiden was my tech and made me feel at ease. Andrea is also someone who will treat you like a friend. Couple all of this caring with superb treatment, excellent front office interaction and efficiency and you’ve got a dentist you’ll love. My insurance wasn’t a good fit, so what did they do? Found me a dentist office that was! How about that for customer service? Naw….thats what you do for friends. Yep, I’m home. I’d give 10 stars if I could.

She put me totally at ease and kept making sure that I was ok throughout the entire procedure. She did an excellent job considering a crown on a very back tooth had fallen off and had been off for more than a year and it needed to be built up and also had some decay. My temporary crown fits perfectly and it is so great to have a crown on there again. Also her dental assistants were kind and professional. Cannot recommend Dr Solomon enough!

(No, I don’t work there and have never worked there and no I am not related to anyone that works/owns Solomon dental. I just can’t say enough good things about this dentist office. I am always comfortable and the hygienists are super diligent in their explanations of what is happening and if I might experience some discomfort - which I never do. Dr. Solomon is kind and willing to spend as much time as needed with her patience. Dentists usually get a bad wrap but this office is perfection.

Most of them involved a large amount of money that would be required. I think she could have helped me more with recommendations that were closer to my budget. But all in all it is a great place to go.

Experiencia fantástica: While a trip to the dentist is never really something to look forward to, Solomon Dental makes the entire experience as painless as possible. The front staff is unbelievably friendly and customer oriented and the dentist and hygienist are all top notch. I’ve moved an almost hour away and still make the trip to Solomon. It’s worth it. Without getting into detail, both dentist do great work, both in treatment and in the business end of the deal. If you have to go to the dentist (which you do), Solomon is the place to go.
