Experiencia fantástica: Have you ever fallen asleep in the dentist’s chair while having cavities repaired? If not you should try having Dr Thomas Yun as your dentist. On my last visit while reclining in his chair I actually fell asleep. The experience was so uneventful the hour I spent in his office was like no time at all. When he completed the repair we reviewed what had been done using the photos and X-rays he had taken during the repair so that I could review the before and after and he could answer any questions I might have. This is dentistry in the 21st century. Bravo Dr Yun!

Experiencia fantástica: Update 2/9/2024 to also add pictures of my new smile. I really cannot recommend this dentist enough. He has helped me a ton with trusting dentists again. He gave me back my smile, I haven't open mouth smiled on purpose for years, it feels so good. Even my adjustments for my for my flexible denture was a cake walk. I never once developed ulcers and he got me in the next day every time I asked for an adjustment. And even then once he does the adjustment I rarely have to come back. Even my child wants to get cavities filled now because of how easy and stress-free he made it for her. The shots never hurt her either and she has a huge needle phobia which is why its taken so long to get her cavities filled. I am so glad I found Dr. Yun. Thank you so, so much. __________ Update 7/13/2023 I wanted to update my review to just state how amazing this dentist is. Novocain shots don't hurt at all for me, I swear he is a wizard. I always used to dread those shots but so far both times have been absolutely pain free. I am glad that I decided to give him a try after some bad situations with a different dentist as he was only for my kiddo originally. He communicates extremely well what he is doing and is very informative. He has dealt with my dental anxiety extremely well. I would recommend him to everyone. Hopefully in a few months I can smile again. Thank you. __________ If you need an emergency dentist in Elgin, this is the one to call. I called nearly every dentist that lists emergency dentistry in Elgin and every single one either didn't pick up nor returned my call on Labor day except Dr. Yun. He was able to get my kiddo in and taken care of no problem. Will be returning to this place for kiddo's dental needs cause it seems like he actually cared and is an actual emergency dentist when needed. Thank you.

I put off going for several years and finally decided to do something about a cavity I had. Dr. Yun is proving to me that I had no reason to feel anxious (well at least about the Dentist which is one of the more intimidating ones for me). I have never felt so informed about my treatment plan and oral health! Dare I say that I might even enjoy going to the dentist now? I think I just might! It's been awhile since I've met someone in the medical field who genuinely seems not only passionate and prideful in their work, but also kind and understanding. Normally I'm afraid to ask questions, but I felt comfortable to ask as many as I needed and never felt like I was being judged on anything. 11/10 would recommend! He is very informative about work being done and preventative measures needed. I personally had to get a couple crowns. Not only did the staff work around my schedule, they made the procedure so smooth I actually fell asleep during it my kids are actually excited to go to the dentist with Dr. Tom and his staff.

Experiencia fantástica: I have been seeing Dr. Tom for 2 years (since I have been in Elgin). Previously, I have been a nervous wreck and filled with anxiety when seeing the dentist - even for cleanings. At my first visit, Dr. Tom put me at ease - he was listening to me, really listening. After hearing me, we talked through a plan for work I needed to have done. This included: filling cavities, periodontal work and regular deep cleanings. He worked seamlessly with the periodontist where I needed to have my bottom front teeth pulled and posts put in. He then made the bridge and my teeth look and feel great. I also had my teeth whitened before the bridge got put in - he did a fabulous job. Dr. Tom knows me and where my teeth are sensitive he puts down numbing gel before the cleanings so I'm not anxious at all. He always shows me on screen where the cavities or problems are and we make decisions together about how to move forward. Also, the staff know me by name and are friendly and kind. Dr. Tom is a gentle, kind, extremely intelligent and knowledgeable and really listens. He is the best dentist I have ever gone to in my life - go see him - truly you will not regret it.

Experiencia fantástica: Dr.Ahmed is an amazing, caring dentist. Especially for an emergency dentist. I've used him twice for emergencies. Both times I had to wait less than an hour for him to see me. He was caring and compassionate about my dental issues. Although my tooth news was bad news he comforted me and gave me a few options and was straight forward as to which option he thought was best and which option would probably give me a 50/50 chance of success. I cried when he said I needed an implant that would cost I er $8000.00 ( I don't have dental insurance). He said no matter what...let's get a flipper sized and ready for you because once you lose your tooth there is no where you can go that will have a tooth just ready for you. Which is very true. At least I'll have something ready and waiting for when my tooth decides to say bye.. Thank you so much for all of your great care! Dr. Ahmed

Experiencia fantástica: Mr. and Mrs. Ahmed have by far one of the best dental practices I have seen in the area. I could have laid on the chair for another 5 hours, I was so comfortable! I did some real damage and chipped both front teeth on a Monday, made a few calls and Dr. Ahmed took me in the very next day. The whole procedure took about an hour, and Dr. Ahmed and his wife running the desk were extremely professional, kind and provided fantastic results! I highly recommend.

Experiencia fantástica: HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!! I was visiting IL from AZ staying with family for 8 days. 3 days before my trip was over my veneer BROKE on my front tooth and it was barely hanging on! I called multiple dentists and about 6 of them told me they don't work on veneers. I was in a panic because I couldn't get a earlier flight home. I got through to Randall Meadows and I literally cannot say enough great things about them! They got me in within a hour and I was literally in and out with my tooth fixed and all within 1 hour! I could not believe it! The lady at the from desk, (I believe Noreen) was such a sweetheart, I was the last patient for the day and when the dentist went to numb me she grabbed my hand and asked if I was ok, told her I don't like this stuff and she held my hands until it was over. Experiencia negativa: Update #2: I found out they did bill my insurance and received a $160 payment from them. Im still continuing to pay this OUTRAGEOUS bill. If you need to find a dentist DO NOT GO HERE! THEY LIE JUST TO GET MORE MONEY. $1300 TO HAVE ONE TOOTH PULLED IS WHAT I PAID!!! Update: A couple months after this visit I find out that this dentist doesn’t except any insurance and I am now being charged over $1000 to have one tooth pulled. I will never come back to this place again and had I known they didn’t accept insurance for emergency visits I would have never gone in the first place. I feel taken advantage of due to the pain I was in. I will be contacting the BBB I am so grateful for this place! I am 5 months pregnant and had a tooth that need to be removed after months of trying to save it. They got me in the same day at 8pm! Now it’s expensive but you are being seen outside of normal business hours AND with the COVID-19 there weren’t really any places open! What a heaven sent! I look forward to coming back!

I was met with a very comfortable atmosphere and Dr. Ahmed and Zafar were so friendly, especially because I was very nervous. They had me laughing and were very quick and gentle with the procedure. I already scheduled an x-ray and cleaning with them!

Experiencia fantástica: Dr. Ahmed was really nice and accommodating. I had pain on the right side of my face and I knew I had to get my wisdom teeth out. I was very scared but I didn’t feel any pain. He got me an appointment right away and made sure I was okay even after I had my wisdom teeth extraction. Definitely will go to him for any dental needs.

Experiencia fantástica: I am SO THANKFUL my sister and I found this dentist!! Today, during my family’s Father’s Day celebration, my toothache reached an all time high and was unbearable. Last night I couldn’t sleep at all because of it. I have extreme dental anxiety, and have been in touch with an IV sedation dentist. However, today the pain was so horrible and I just knew I couldn’t wait any longer. Dr. Ahmed answered my sisters call right away (I was in too much pain t all myself), and told us to come on in. Granted this was a Sunday late afternoon on Father’s Day! He left his own family to help me. He examined everything and found the source of the problem, and him and my sister encouraged me to get the tooth extracted. I was so anxious, almost sick to my stomach, but I knew the few minutes of discomfort for the extraction was better than days of managing horrible pain. He was so gentle and explained everything he was doing, and it went great!!! I will 100% be saving his number for all future emergency services. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!
