She actually sang in a beautiful soft voice while pulling two teeth. What a calming, totally relaxing technique! My mind was on the voice not the “snap crackle pop” of 67 year old teeth being yanked out of my mouth!

3 months ago Experiencia fantástica: Excellent! From calling and interacting withe the receptionist to Dr. Gaw’s assistant, this was first class service. I had two root canals at one time and it was seamless. Dr. Gaw switched in the cat and dog fun tv to watch while I waited. And the coup de gras was Dr. Gaw’s beautiful voice singing me into a very relaxed state. Best place ever! And only using over the counter pain relief after. I will be recommending Renovo to anyone I can!

4 months ago Experiencia fantástica: Unfortunately I had 2 teeth that needed treatment in a short period of time, 1 of which was a bit of an emergency. They were able to get me in quickly both times (same day for the more urgent issue). I went to both the Schaumburg and Elgin offices and everyone was kind and courteous. The doctors were efficient, thorough, and did a great job. The only thing I'm upset about is that I never got a chance to meet the 2 therapy dogs that frequent the offices definitely recommend!

4 months ago Experiencia fantástica: Dr. Gaw and team were amazing! I absolutely hate dental work and needed a root canal which I have put off as long as I possibly could. They made me feel as comfortable as they possibly could. I felt nothing and was out of the office from start to finish (check in paperwork, procedure, and check out) in an hour. Dr. Gaw sang during the whole procedure which was so soothing. I highly recommend them to anyone in need of the work they do!!

4 months ago Experiencia fantástica: Two days ago I had to have a root canal. I came into your clinic unsure if my tooth could withstand the root canal. I was also sure this was going to be a nightmare 2 to 4 hours of pain in the chair. The dreaded "ROOT CANAL." But, my experience was fast, stress free, for the most part pain free. NOTHING compared to what I expected! Thanks to you and your assistant's great work, patience, and ample pain meds as needed for my chronic pain patient self. Thank you guys. I'll let people know where to go to get the best care!

4 months ago Experiencia fantástica: When I learned I had a cavity in my wisdom tooth and my dentist referred me to an endodontist, I was alarmed. After months of agonizing over it, extraction seemed to be my best choice, I’ll be 72 in a few months. Because of my advanced age I had built up much anxiety over it all. On the day of my dreaded appointment, I was warmly welcomed by endodontist assistant Paula who was so very kind and reassuring, helping to ease my anxiety. Enter Dr. Wong, also warm and kind, very gentle and clearly an expert in his field. Dr. Wong completed the procedure skillfully, masterfully, and so swiftly... it was done in no time and I felt no pain! Hallelujah!! Thank you Dr. Wong and staff!!

I had a root canal re-treatment and I historically have a hard time getting numb and often still feel Dental work, which causes me anxiety when it comes to dental work. With Dr. Gaw she took her time with me and ensured I was numb, and I felt nothing! She also created a relaxing comfortable environment for me, and all my anxieties about the treatment dispersed. 4 months ago Experiencia fantástica: Overall GREAT experience! I absolutely dread anything dental related, but had an awesome service experience with Renovo. I was referred here for a root canal. From the time I called the front desk to schedule to the day after my procedure, Renovo has hands down provided customer service at an elite level. The front desk lady (forgot name ☹️) was so helpful and patient with figuring out a few things with my insurance and she went the extra mile to resolve everything and get me scheduled in! My root canal was done by Dr. John Jurkas! Never had a dentist so skilled, so suave, and so empathetic! I didn’t feel any pain throughout the procedure and he was very kind and supportive through the whole process. He also followed up the next day to check in and ensure everything was okay. If there were Michelin stars for Dentists I would give him 3/3! His assistant was also amazing too! Thank you guys for making a dreaded root canal appointment into a comfortable one! Renovo Endodontics team is the best in the game!! I would recommend Dr. Jurkas and the staff to anyone! Especially if you get anxiety with having dental work done!

The dental office is located within a shared building that looks more like an office building, but walkkng into Renovo's suite I was surprised by how modern, clean, and esthetically pleasing the decor is. The registration staff was very kind and professional. The dental assistant did an excellent job and Dr. Gaw is the most relatable and pleasant dental professional I've ever encountered! I drove from my work in Beloit and I would go out of my way everytime to have Dr. Gaw. She made me feel so at ease and no pressure to do any treatment. I asked her a ton of questions and she gave me great explanations and never rushed me. I ended up going ahead with the root canal, first time, and it was easier than a filling in my opinion.

5 months ago Experiencia fantástica: A really special experience! My fiancee needed to ideally have a root canal, but it was not covered by insurance so we chose the cheaper option of an extraction. The dr actually worked with him to make the price work for him since it was completely out of pocket. Very rarely do you encounter medical professionals that have passion for giving the BEST care they can offer, without considering costs. 6 months ago Experiencia negativa: I had my appointment with Dr Wong today for an extraction and the beginning of the implant procedure. It did not go as well as anticipated. There was a 30 min delay before being brought to the room. One of the assistants explained the procedures, after care and medications. Dr Wong gave me the injections without any use of the topical gel to numb the gums prior. The three injections were painful. I sat for 45 mins before the Dr came back to begin the work. When he began I could feel pain and raised my hand. I was given two more shots, then the work was completed. I received a notification from my pharmacy that they were working on one Rx. I contacted them to see if they received the antibiotic and pain medication. They had not so I called the office. I waited a while and no notification from the pharmacy so I called the Dr directly as the office was closed at that time. Left a detailed message of where to send the other two Rx. They were never called in. It is now the evening of the procedure and I am in pain, only have Tylenol and Ibuprofen to use. Now in the morning, will be making calls to the office again. This is not taking care of patients the way I am accustomed to.

It was my first one and I had watched videos so I knew what to expect, but she did a great job explaining everything along the way. I was in and out in less than an hour, and my tooth was the last tooth on my top left side which is typically the most difficult to work with. The receptionist was also very nice and helpful, and explained my bill along with what insurance would cover vs what I had to pay. Highly recommend them for any endodontic needs!

Hearing the word “fracture” had me picturing implants, yet the dental surgeon here in Elgin laid out conservative options first. High-resolution scans showed the crack stopped short of the pulp, so she recommended an onlay instead of a crown. While I bit on the digital scanner, the assistant kept suction perfectly timed so no water pooled in my throat. A temporary restoration was shaped and polished until my bite felt normal, and they scheduled the ceramic onlay for next week. I left feeling informed and in control rather than railroaded into an expensive procedure. The peace of mind was worth the referral drive.

9 months ago Experiencia fantástica: By the time I called Renovo Endodontic Studio, chewing even oatmeal shot lightning through my jaw. The front desk found a cancellation the same afternoon, but I did wait about 20 minutes past the appointment time while an earlier procedure wrapped up. Once seated, the endodontist showed my cracked cusp on a tablet, then simply outlined the steps of a root canal. I barely felt pressure, just heard the whirr and smelled the sealer. Everything went smoothly.

9 months ago Experiencia fantástica: I woke up in mid July with a throbbing molar that painkillers barely touched, so I booked the first available slot at Renovo Endodontic Studio in Elgin. From check-in to X-ray, every step felt efficient yet unhurried. The doctor explained how an infected nerve spreads heat through a tooth, then numbed the area so gently my knuckles finally unclenched. While the assistant set up the microscope, I watched a ceiling-mounted TV that took my mind off the drill. Forty minutes later the canal was cleaned, sealed, and capped with a temporary filling. Walking out I realized the ache was already fading. If you need an endodontist, this place turns a nightmare morning into a manageable story you’ll tell over lunch. I slept soundly that night for the first time in a week.

I’m not impossible to impress, but I am a call rep who knows world-class customer service when I see it and this office nailed it. Dr. Wong? Flawless in his field. Precise and reassuring, exactly who you want working on your teeth. And Paula? A total gem. She had the warmth of your best friend’s mom. We talked music, cars, cosmetic tattoos, and everything in between. I walked in with dread. I left feeling like I could float away. I had put off dental work for four years after a botched procedure left me in pain for over a year. The dentist before that? Mocked me for having tattoos. (Yes, really.) I was so shut down I nearly gave up. But a few weeks ago, I finally saw a new dentist who referred me to Dr. Wong for a root canal. Let me tell you, not one person in this office made me feel judged, rushed, or uncomfortable. Quite the opposite. When I paid, Paula and Soon told me I was the sunshine in their day. (Come on! 10 months ago Experiencia negativa: My wife had work done and was told it would be $200. After the procedure, they then charged her a little over $1,000 since the lady behind the desk forgot to add part of it to the quote. As the doctor was injecting the medication to numb her gums, someone came in ask what the doctor wanted for lunch from Chipotle the next day. After the operation she had to ask the front desk for gauze to help with the bleeding as well as an ice pack, since it was not given to her in the room, despite being told that these were needed and would be provided to her. Then as we got to the pharmacy to pick up her medication, they had not received her prescription. We then called the office asking them to send her prescriptions to the pharmacy. We called the pharmacy 4 hours later and they still hadn’t received the prescription. When we called Evnovo a second time regarding the prescription, they said the doctor couldn’t be interrupted and was just so busy. Of course, he can be interrupted for his lunch order, just not the care of his patients. The entire experience was mishandled by staff over and over again.

11 months ago Experiencia fantástica: My experiences with Dr. Gaw was fantastic! I was worried about a problem with my tooth and anxious about going to an endodontist for the first time. It Actually was the best experience I’ve had with dental care ever. Dr. Gaw explained everything about my situation. Answered all my questions. Took extra x-rays to thoroughly examine the problem. And even discussed other possible solutions other than root canal. I decided to go with the root canal with her. She expertly preformed the procedure. Her personality made it actually enjoyable as I did not feel a thing. (Other than the numbing shot which “pinched”. Dr Gaw softly sang (to herself) during the whole procedure. Might sound wacky but it was very calming. She checked on me the next day. (I was totally fine). Thank you Dr. Gaw!

1 year ago Experiencia fantástica: I had a consultation for a root canal on March 7, 2025. The root canal was performed the same day. The whole process from consultation to completion of the root canal took approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes. I couldn't be happier with the results I received from Dr. Gaw and her assistant. I felt no pain throughout the procedure and left feeling very confident in Dr. Gaw and Renovo Endodontic Studio. I highly recommend Renovo.

1 year ago Experiencia fantástica: It was a very good experience. Everyone was extremely nice — from the receptionist to the dental assistants to the doctors. They took as much time with me as I needed. They thoroughly explained everything they were doing, what they could do and the procedures that I needed. All of this, in a lovely, comfortable setting.

1 year ago Experiencia fantástica: Couldn't recommend it more. Dr Gaw was fantastic. I needed a root canal and she was able to reschedule me multiple times and even reached out to me personally. She's famous in other reviews for singing or humming and I can confirm it happens. Very relaxing. As for the procedure it was faster than expected and went very easily. If I ever have a need for another procedure i'll definitely be coming here and requesting her again.
