Experiencia fantástica: I have not been to the dentist in forever. I have extreme anxiety. Dr Amanda Taylor and team are amazing. They called me to confirm my appointment. They even noticed I wanted a teeth cleaning and I didn't sign up for it correctly. They made the changes to fit me in. They made everything a very easy process for me especially since I have feared going for so long. Everyone there is beyond amazing. I highly recommend going to Smoky Hill dental. They are extremely understanding especially since I had not been in a long time. They took amazing care of me. I have been going for almost a year with the invisalign and I truly love the result. I have had many compliments on how my smile looks. This team at Smoky Hill dental is amazing. I had to wait a little while in the waiting room. Dr Taylor came and apologized and explained what was going on. She was super nice. Then the front desk even came over to apologize for the wait. I did not mind since they normally get me in and out. I truly appreciate the entire team. They are super sweet and I will keep going. I went in for my cleaning and they took amazing care of me. I love my smile

I don’t want my medical care based on how many extras I want to buy.Last two visits the dentist didn’t even talk to me, just talked to the hygienist like I wasn’t there. Unfortunately I don’t trust them which is never a good thing. Their care seems fine I just don’t want like all the extras.

It is one of the best decisions I ever made for my overall health and my beautiful smile. Dr. Taylor uses the invisaline process. It's really cool and fun to see my teeth shift into alignment. Dr. Taylor is as enthusiastic about my invisaline process as I am. She is a master level dentist who is at the forefront of her field. She is continually learning, discovering new insights in her field. She is easy going and very pleasant. I am always at ease and very happy to see Dr. Taylor and her staff for all of my dental needs. She and her staff are exceptional. I recommend Dr. Taylor. I am very thankful and lucky to be her patient.

Experiencia positiva: I have significant dentist anxiety and made an appointment here after a large gap in dental care. Everyone in the office was extremely friendly and calming. The hygienist made conversation and kept me comfortable. They provided guidance for my dental care without shame. The dentist helped address some sensitivity, which helped immediately. I am excited to go back and happy to recommend this practice. *EDIT* I am bummed to have to edit my review slightly after my second visit. Both the hygienist and dentist I saw the first time were temporary fill-ins. During my second visit, I did not receive the same level of comfortable and calming care, unfortunately. The hygienist who regularly works at the office did not take the time to explain what she was doing or to calm my nerves in the same way the fill-in had. This time, I experienced quite a bit of pain during the cleaning. The hygienist was really rough on my gums. I’m feeling a little bummed that the level of care and consideration I received during my first appointment may not be the norm. I hope this practice will be the right place for me as a patient with dental anxiety, but that remains to be seen at this point.

Everyone adheres to the mask and the social distancing Covid protocols. The treatment of the patients is fascinating. Each and everyone is treated with kindness and respect from the entrance to the exiting. The doctor, the hygienists, the technicians and last, but not least, the front desk organizers are all so welcoming. I feel fortunate to have Smoky Hill Dental take good care of my teeth and ultimately me.

Experiencia positiva: This was my first appt. with Smoky Hill Dental. The team seemed genuinely interested in what I felt was the best course to take. I was given options on treatment for my situation and then the procedure was done quickly and efficiently. I will be returning for further work to be done and I thank them all for making the patient the top priority. Rhonda I had a partial made by another dental company and it never did fit correctly. Quite loose fitting and cumbersome. After I had started to be seen by Smoky Hill Dental I had dropped this partial and it broke. Smoky Hill Dental's team used the teeth part of the partial to make a temporary partial that I could use until their lab completed a new partial that I have now. The level of workmanship and knowledge on the part of the Smoky Hill Dental group and their lab is a huge step above the other dental group. The staff have shown interest and concern at every appointment I have had there. I feel very fortunate to have found them and become one of their patients. Rhonda

Experiencia negativa: The first cleaning session was actually not bad. But then on things went downhill. For another appointment, the assistant and the dentist were chatting their life away during my procedure. The suction was not happening at all, I almost choked, multiple times. And the assistant did most of the work towards the end and it was done badly. I’m not paying for someone to learn the procedure on my teeth. I had sensitivity and my bite wasn’t proper, as they had over filled it. Which led to headaches and jaw pain. Had to go to a different clinic to get a second opinion and get things corrected. My chin was numb for almost 2 days which had never happened before. It usually wears off within a few hours or a day. It just felt like a shoddy job and an ill equipped clinic. They kept touching my teeth and then touching the light on top, or the handles and tables around me.. with the gloves on and then sticks it back into my mouth. Unless they clean the whole place, the setup, the handles and lights between each session, it doesn’t sit right with me. Just felt unhygienic altogether. I hope they do better in the future.

Experiencia negativa: WARNING TO EVERYONE: if you trust smoky hill dental with your dental care, don’t be surprised when they fail to do their part, leave your insurance claim hanging, and stick you with the full bill all while your credit score takes the hit for their negligence. read below. Extremely poor insurance transparency — left with a $929 bill for procedures denied by insurance Both my wife and I received treatments here, including root planing and basic cleanings, which were later denied by our insurance. The office claimed they submitted appeals, but the insurance still denied coverage citing “lack of bone loss” or insufficient documentation. We were never clearly informed that these procedures might not be covered, nor were we shown what documentation would be submitted on our behalf. After the denial, all we got was: “We appealed, it got denied, talk to your insurance.” Now we’re stuck with a $929 bill and absolutely no meaningful support from the office. That response felt like a complete cop-out — we were left feeling dismissed and unsupported, with no one really advocating for us as patients. I would not recommend this practice to anyone expecting transparency, proper financial consent, or even basic follow-through when insurance issues arise. In hindsight, I should've been more cautious choosing a dental office in a strip mall where the focus here feels more on pushing procedures and processing insurance than on treating patients with transparency or care. Just look at how they respond to customers with a basic automated message. As stated I did call and now I have to take the time to file state-level complaints just to get answers and protect myself from an unfair bill.

Experiencia negativa: Frustrating cancellation policy. I wanted to like this office. They are close to my house and the dentists and assistants all seemed competent and friendly. However, they seem to have equipment failures with some degree of frequency, and had to cancel my husband's appointment. No big deal if it was a one off. However, I then showed up for an appointment (on time) and was told that I could not be seen because I had not confirmed my appointment and some of their equipment was down so they could not "accommodate me." Truthfully, I did not call the office even though they had reached out via voicemail or send a text confirming my appointment. I simply made the appointment and showed up for it on time. I was most frustrated that I was not notified ahead of time that my appointment was cancelled due to my lack of confirmation. That I could understand. However, I instead received a reminder text right before my appointment that made it appear as though it was still on the books. I was only informed I couldn't be seen when I showed up and I was asked to re-sign their cancellation policy. Basically, this seems like an overly aggressive policy and it was clearly making the front desk staff uncomfortable to enforce.

Experiencia negativa: This place is horrible. I had an appointment scheduled. Never got a text confirming appointment. I called and she said they showed no appointments for me. The lady was rude and hung up on me. After the call I checked my email that in fact showed my appointment. Will never go this office.

Experiencia negativa: Went into my first visit for an exam and cleaning. The overall experience was a bit unusual and strange. I was forced to do an x-ray even though I wanted to opt out this time. I started the first 3rd of my time in one chair, then moved to a 2nd chair for x-rays, then to a standing x-ray machine, and back to the 2nd chair. They "found a cavity" and quoted me a couple hundred bucks for it. I haven't had a cavity detected for years. Then, I was charged a "co-pay" of $25.18 when dental policies don't typically involve a co-pay. Funny thing is they have yet to submit a claim for the service.

Sometimes it would have been even better, if during the procedure, when I was asked to put my tongue somewhere else, I knew how long I was to keep it at the new position. Since I did not know, and could not ask during the procedure, I just kept it there a very long time. It would be great if every directive was clear as to when the directive was finished. Today I have some soreness, but not too much. The temporary crown they made seems to be the right height, which is good. They were great with my hand signals which I sometimes made, such as when I couldn't hear them. (Talking, to me at least, during drilling doesn't work well.)
