The staff are very pleasant & courteous with a shout out to Robyn who has been there from the beginning & knows who I am at this point - thanks Robyn for being so personable & caring with your interactions with me. I would also like to express what a great dentist Dr. Labayen is as I had a wisdom tooth extraction done yesterday & another one this past January unfortunately, but she made the process both times seamless & virtually pain free. Her interactions with me & her expertise made me feel very comfortable & I appreciate that very much! Thank you also to her dental asst Marlene (not sure if this how she spells her name), whom also is very pleasant & made my time there yesterday very comfortable as well!

Was rude and belittling when I was complaining about the instruments against my gums. She called me some names I probably can't repeat here. Will not be going back!

They took time explaining everything and were gentle during the cleaning. I left with sparkling teeth and no discomfort. They even texted the next day to check in. Experiencia fantástica: I hadn't seen a dentist in ten years when I needed my upper teeth removed & a denture made, but when I was much younger, I had some really bad experiences with a dentist who slapped me while trying to fill a tooth without sufficient novacine/lidocaine. He wouldn't stop so I tried to squirm out of the chair. Long story short, Dr. Steinman & the entire staff did a great job of keeping calm, relaxed & pain free. I had 5 extractions, 5 bone grafts & a partial. I'm not afraid to smile now because I have a full mouth of teeth. Thank you, Dr. Steinman & staff!!! I will be back!!! ♡

She cares about her clients. She takes X-Rays, cleans,flosses and examines your teeth. She honest and she lets you know what you’re doing wrong and how to Correct the Problem. She treats you as if you were her Family.

Experiencia negativa: I asked for a cleaning. They want to X-ray my teeth as well. Everytime I’ve been there. They try and just sell you anything they can. I did not ask for X-rays. All I wanted was a cleaning. They wouldn’t do this. Because it doesn’t make them enough money. So the cleaning wasn’t done. I will never go back

The staff truly understand with no judgement. They even tell you "teeth are just weird". They truly understand all the anxiety that comes with seeing a dentist. All of the staff will do everything possible to ease all anxiety and discomfort. They educate you about all your options. I truly feel cared for as a whole person! I would drive a long distance, like 300 miles, just to continue to be treated by all the wonderful staff at Gateway Smiles. (Fortunately, I only have to drive from Parker!). Experiencia negativa: I debated on leaving a bad review, but this had to be the worst dental visit(s) of my lifetime. I will say that my first visits were alright and during one of my cleanings, no problem with that, I was told a needed a crown and that is where my issues really began. I did need to let the staff know that I recently went through surgery and treatments as I didn’t want to exacerbate my issues, the dentist didn’t see a problem moving forward so I did. The procedure started fine but once the dentist started drilling, she not only ripped the dental dam and needed to replace it she mangled my gums with the drill causing extra problems. And to make it just a little more uncomfortable I had to listen to her and her assistant discuss her pet’s matching heath issues. Anyway, I paid my bill and moved on, had to wait 2 weeks for my permanent crown to be installed. I went back to get the permanent crown installed and it unfortunately didn’t get any better. It took longer and with more work than I have ever had to deal with for installing a crown, between the cold air and drilling to get off excessive dental cement I got to leave in pain and since the insurance company, I guess, paid them less than expected that was my problem too so I got a bigger bill. Thanks Gateway Smiles for a few good appointments but I’ll be taking my dental care elsewhere.

Experiencia negativa: Its been years since I went here, but back when I was 16/17 I went here. I'm 23 now. They did crowns on my 2 front teeth. I should have gotten a second opinion because they told me I needed crowns in my other back teeth and after a couple second opinions it doesn't sound like I ever needed any root canals. Also, the dentist that did my crowns told me at 16, that if "I wanted to be a pretty hostess and not be toothless, I needed to brush my teeth." I brushed my teeth every day twice a day. Was super mean girl and bullyish of her. I still remember it so obviously it made an impact. She was the actual dentist and she had blonde hair.

Everyone from the front office to the dental hygienist to the dentist was very knowledgeable and careful to answer all questions. They took all the time that was needed, and I didn’t feel rushed.They explained what they were doing cheerfully. I have never been in a better dental office. There was an immediate same-day explanation of cost and what my insurance covered and would not. Everyone listened to my concerns and carefully noted my many allergies and health issues. Experiencia positiva: My teeth were checked by the hygentist at Gateway Smiles as I work in Denver area PT . They used an instrument to check depth of each tooth. 1 -3 is normal range. I had some 4s and 5s was told I had bone loss and need deep cleaning was a lazor and numb whole mouth. Do one side on one day and other side on another day .$700 out of my pocket, ins pays the rest . I told them I'd get a second opinion. And they agreed to that and emailed my X-rays which was very nice .. Went to my regular dentist in Omaha,. Same instrument and teeth were in normal range 1-3 depth.Was told I don't need the deep cleaning.they gave me a simple cleaning which is all I needed.i have no idea who's right or wrong here but I certainly don't want a treatment I don't need right?. If my Reg Omaha dentist I went to 40 plus years and trust had agreed I would have had Gateway do it but they didn't agree just saying pays to get second opinion on expensive treatments.

Experiencia fantástica: My child has autism, adhd, and severe anxiety. This place has always been top notch for my 14yr old. He has had a root canal done on a broken tooth and some cavities filled. The staff is awesome in calming and encouraging him. They will put on a movie for him, give him some nitrous and away we go. I can thank this staff enough for the hard work they do and compassion they have for their patients.

Experiencia negativa: Overall a nice group of people, friendly and positive. However; they weren’t truthful about needing fillings and a crown. A second opinion at another dentist was very different (0 cavities and no crown). They pushed Invisalign on us like a used car salesperson. Then when I cancelled my follow on appointment with them they were rude to me when I said I want to go somewhere else for another opinion. I would recommend going somewhere else.

Experiencia negativa: Beware!!! Don’t get fooled by 5* reviews. People were nice but they ROB you… SCAM!! I went for a regular cleaning with no pain. They took some many xrays, photos etc which took more than 2 hrs of what they mentioned. Told I have an initial issue with gums. And advised a deep cleaning. I asked if I could skip that and just do the cleaning but they refused and said it’s unethical which doesn’t make sense. They fool us by saying you have so many issues, cavities, need root canals, need crown and wisdom teeth removal etc. Dont get overwhelmed and get a second opinion from a different dentist. AVOID this Gateway Smiles Dentistry If you want to avoid stress, save money and time.

Dentist was fantastic and performed my procedure while letting me know what was going on and checking with me to see how I was going regularly. Experiencia fantástica: Okay, look. I have had a really rough few years with my teeth. Had seven pulled last year at another dentist, and needed two more. Not only did these folks not have to pull those last two teeth, they saved them. I have crowns that look better than my own teeth did. I’m not saying that’ll be everyone’s experience, but I’ll tell you what you *will* get: an empathetic-filled plan with a kind and judgement-free dentist and staff. Realistic solutions to be a healthier you. From the moment you walk in the door, you can see that it's different. It's not the mini-food bank or the water and drinks in the lobby. It's not the toothbrush in the immaculate bathroom. It's not even the blanket or the pillow or the Disney+ while getting teeth drilled. (I watched Hamilton.) It's something else — something more. It's how caring for your teeth by these folks comes with professionalism and warmth that is simply unmatched in this industry. Best. Dentist. Ever. And absolutely the best staff.

Experiencia fantástica: Crown had broken off right below the gum line 5 days ago. I feared I may need an implant. But doctor and staff were able to reset crown and make a slight adjustment to keep it from happening again.

Experiencia negativa: Don’t be fooled by Gateway Smiles, because I certainly was. The dentist I use to go to moved so I figured I would try a new place that seemed to have good reviews. I was wrong. HUGE MISTAKE!! The first appointment is an hour and a half. Not a big deal except they didn't even clean my teeth. The entire time was spent taking x-rays and going over everything wrong with my teeth and everything they needed to do before they could clean my teeth. It was not clearly communicated that the first appointment is spent diagnosing and that you may not leave with a cleaning. I did not find this out until after the fact. I’ve had no issues with my teeth or even any pain and all of a sudden my whole mouth is falling apart. They told me I needed 3 crowns, a new filling, and a deep cleaning. It was going to cost me $8,000. They kept trying to push their vantage 1 and financial plans and it made me extremely uncomfortable and overwhelmed. I have severe anxiety going to the dentist anyway which I expressed to them in the beginning. They made it seem like they understood at first, then everything went downhill. They poked and prodded my mouth it was so painful I started crying. They kept telling me to hang in there, they were almost done. I left feeling so defeated and ripped off. I felt so unsafe the entire visit and should have seen the red flags right from the jump. Once I was able to calm my self I called to speak with the manager about my experience and to get a refund. She basically told me there was nothing she could do and that patient care was number one. She also pushed the financial plan on me. I felt so unheard and frustrated. When I started asking questions about why I couldn’t even get the cleaning she said it was because I was periodontal, however no staff mentioned that to me in the appointment. Needless to say I will never go back. They take complete advantage and patient care is definitely not a priority. The whole business is a scam. They act like they care about your well-being but I knew the whole time I was in the chair something felt very off about the environment. The manager was even worse. I understand her need to protect her staff, but she did nothing but tell me about what they should have told me upfront, that if they cleaned my teeth the hygienist would lose their license, she won’t refund me. She claimed she understood and apologized for my experience, but it was the most unauthentic conversation. To me if you have patients crying in the chair and leaving distraught that’s a major issue. This place is a complete JOKE! If you want to save your mouth and your money definitely DO NOT go here.

Experiencia fantástica: Seriously an amazing place! Everyone I met here was incredibly friendly and genuinely happy. I came in for a cleaning after not having been to a dentist for 15+ years since I didn't have insurance (and was a fricken idiot). They got my face squared away, accepted my insurance, and Nadine got my teeth looking better than they have in a decade. I plan on making Gateway Smiles my go-to dentist for life!

Experiencia fantástica: Amazing place, everyone (except the front) is super nice and caring. They wont judge you, they didnt me. (4 root cannels, 7 fillings, and one tooth pull) they are simply there to help. DONT LET THE FRONT DESK SCARE YOU AWAY. There are some truly awesome people in the back.

From the front desk to dental assistant and dentist everyone was so amazing and sweet and let's not mention very fast and efficient! I went in at 9:30 and within 2 min I'm already in the chair ready to get work done. Keep up the good work ladies! You guys are truly the best! I will recommend everyone to you guys!!

Experiencia fantástica: LET ME TELL YOU… THIS PLACE HAS RESTORED MY FAITH IN (ALMOST) ALL HUMANITY!!! I never realized that I was accepting below average/ bare minimum dental care!! I am currently staying with my best friend so I needed out-of-state care with a dental emergency (I was in so much pain!) . Once they cleared my insurance, they scheduled me in the very next day! They were all SO warm and welcoming! I also LOVED that they cared about explaining the whole process to you while you’re going through it so you’re not just lost and scared to ask questions. This has been the BEST experience I’ve EVER had at a dentist office! Thank you so much for all you guys do! I wish more dentistry would take some notes from your practice! You guys deserve the world and then some!!! ❤️

I got checked in and my appointment started ON TIME and was finished ON TIME. Also, eery professional during my appointment (hygienist, assistant, dentist) were super friendly and helpful. Found my regular dentist!

Experiencia fantástica: Best dentist practice I’ve been a part of!. I feel like my mouth health has greatly improved since I began seeing Dr. Steinman and her staff. Special shout-out to the awesome hygienists, Rebecca and Jennifer.

Experiencia negativa: The 5 star ratings fooled me! I go to the dentist religiously every 6 to 7 months. The dentist I loved moved so I figured I would give this place a try. BIG MISTAKE!! First appointment is an hour and a half. Not a big deal except they didn't even clean my teeth. The entire time was spent taking x-rays and going over everything wrong with my teeth and everything they needed to do before they could clean my teeth. I was told I had 11 cavities and periodontal disease (5s on at least half of my gums). I needed deep cleaning on all quadrants of my mouth. All of this was going to cost me around $4k! They also used a device to detect cavities that seemed to not work as the tech was constantly messing with it until it finally gave a signal she was wanting. Funny thing is she said it doesn't work on teeth with metal fillings. I have metal fillings on almost all of my back teeth from my childhood. Sooo I am not sure what she was doing. I decided to go back to my original dentist across the street for a second opinion just 2 weeks later. I had ZERO cavities and my gums were very healthy (all 1-3). I also got x-rays and my teeth cleaned in under an hour. Please stay away! Your mouth and wallet will thank you. Update 2 years later. I have now been to 2 other dentist offices as I am looking for a new home location since my dentist moved. Still no cavities and no periodontal disease. No teeth pain either....

Abby is an amazing assistant who was very kind and understanding. Robin always explains my benefits and pricing so I can make my decisions about treatments.

Experiencia fantástica: Gateway smiles and the entire team at this dentist office are top notch caregivers. This is a two Doctor clinic and is consistently busy. I recently had a check up on each kiddo done. The pandemic did no favors in their oral care. With times being what they are, spreading finances is thin for everyone. One of my kiddos has a laundry list of major dental work that needs to be done. The team - especially Robin went over and above in accommodating to get his dental priorities done. They encourage non peanut breakfast/snack donations through December 2022. The donations provide a monetary deduction. This helps in a great way! Not just the families financially that are patients but supports a great need in our community. No child should be hungry. Their support of the community speaks to Dr. Labeyan and Dr. Steinman's commitment of integrity, care and love to their families and patients. They have a great team that supports them in making visits to the dentist as pleasant, and as stress free as a visit can be going to the dentist. I mean that in the most loving way possible. I mean we all get a little edgy and nervous right? I highly recommend Gateway Smiles!

Experiencia fantástica: I have seen Dr Steinman and her professional staff for approximately 7 years. I have seen many dentists in my life time and I consider Dr Steinman one of the best. I trust her judgement and skills in providing the best dental care. Currently Dr Steinman provides dental care to myself, my wife and elderly mother.

Experiencia fantástica: The staff at this office are amazingly nice, accomodating, professional, and friendly. I've never had a medical office where i never leave with questions/expectations around billing or the overall experience. As rough as going to the dentist can be. This makes it much, much better/easier. Dr. Labayen is the best!

Experiencia negativa: Disappointing experience to the point I was very uncomfortable and just wanted to leave . I indicated on the patient form that I am not interested in braces and or invisalin. I walked in and that was the first question the tech asked I stated clearly that I do not want any of it . She then went ahead to do a scan for invisalin again have two indications that I do not want to deal with the pain that comes with teeth straightening. I walked in at 7:45 and rushed at 10 without getting the one main reason I came in for which was cleaning . One of my scans had to be redone and the Dr hurriedly walked in and out . I advised that I haven’t had cleaning done for two years due to pandemic and have a crown which is an indication that all the talk they’re giving me I have heard before . Started to feel like I am in a sales office instead of a patient care establishment

Experiencia fantástica: My husband and I are so thankful to have found such a caring and dedicated team to take care of our oral health. They have such innovative equipments but they truly care about their patients, and that is seen and felt.everytime we go!
