My son (and I) were very nervous leading up to the appointment, but the warm and welcoming staff put him and I at ease. Dr. Lu and Ms. Medina answered all of his questions with honest and age-appropriate responses. The technician who took his images was so kind, gentle, patient and friendly. Her’s is a more complex case and they have been incredibly thorough in monitoring her needs until it was time for phase 1 of treatment. Throughout treatment, Dr. Lu and everyone at his office has been incredibly warm hearted, personable and responsive. Whether it is scheduled visits, unexpected repair visits or calls to work with the front office staff regarding insurance, it has been a collaborative and easy process. They are on time and keep you moving in and out, but take the time to listen and explain the visit as well! Despite moving out of the immediate area, I am happy we stuck with FIO for Phase 1! I cannot say enough positive things about the staff members my daughter has seen for her treatment!

First, our daughter received a consultation and she was told she was fine, so we get honesty from the medical staff and the doctor here. Secondly, the facilities are very nice and well kept. They have a coffee mess which is an instant perk to me. The staff are professional and helpful, and patient too on scheduling. Third, they offer a flexible payment plan that is reasonable. Fourth: they also are good for families if you have more than one who needs ortho. I appreciate the time they took with me so far, and look forward to more services here.

The orthodontist was amazing- they took the time to really listen to what I needed do the certain spaces and gaps in my teeth's and explained everything so clearly. I never felt like they were rushing me out the door. One of the coolest parts was when they showed me a peek of what my smile could look like after treatment. It was kind of cool. They walked me through all the different options, like regular braces and Invisalign, and helped me figure out what would work best for me without having to pay extra fees on things. No hidden fees, which is always a win. I can't say enough good things about this place. The team is super professional, but also really serious. If you're looking for an orthodontist who knows their stuff and actually cares about your smile, you've gotta check them out.

Experiencia fantástica: First Impression Ortho has been fantastic. I used them to take out a broken lingual retainer and get fitted for an invisiline style retainer. My daughter goes here for her braces, which was included an expander and a few rounds of adjustments so far. They have great customer service and communication, making sure we know what is needed and why. Appointments are always on time and efficient, which is a factor worth 5 stars on its own. My daughter loves the cards and smoothie coupons she gets. I highly recommend them!

When the time came for him to start braces, I was in a huge worry thinking it won’t be possible for any doctor to put braces on his teeth. Dr. Lu and his wonderful staff were the solution for him! His approach for the course of treatment was refreshing unlike the second opinion we received from another orthodontist. My daughter is not always the bravest when it comes to any type of dental work and her clinical technician Madina has been so amazing with her. Anytime someone asks us about braces I always refer them to First Impressions with zero hesitation!

Experiencia fantástica: Update 3/25: from my 9yo: “It’s a good place. The staff are nice. I’m happy with the progress. I actually kinda like my braces.” It is really easy to talk to Dr. Lu and his staff. My son is getting his braces and the entire process has been explained to ease any concerns.

Experiencia fantástica: I recently took my two kids, 8 and 10 years old, for a first time visit to Dr. Lu at First Impression Orthodontics. Their names were on a welcome sign, and we were greeted warmly. They were taken back immediately to be assessed, and then asked to wait while they prepared for a consultation. The waiting room is cozy and inviting. The music playing adds to the positive ambiance, and isn’t overwhelming. There were iPads for kids that don’t feel like watching the cartoons playing with subtitles, and even a charging station for people that would rather just plug in and use their own device. In a short time, we were ushered to the Dr’s consultation room where he did a thorough exam while his treatment coordinator took notes. One child was in pretty good shape, and put in a wait and see pattern, but my other child needed some immediate intervention to prevent some big issues as her adult teeth come in. Dr. Lu was thorough and clearly wants the best care for my children. He was calm and kind with the kids, he stressed healthy growth instead of perfection, and did not try to upsell anything. The treatment coordinator was also excellent. She explained the next steps very clearly, and squeezed us into the schedule in right away, though I could tell that they are a very busy office. I look forward to coming back to this office and I have confidence that they will do everything they can to help my children’s mouths develop properly. Edit: First Impression Orthodontics has put braces on one of my children and we have had two follow up visits. They are providing excellent care and seem focused on providing just what we need and they are good at communicating and explaining the treatment and recommendations. Dr. Lu is both efficient and thorough with treatment and the dental assistants and staff are truly excellent.
