Thank you Dr. Janice, and to your entire team of professionals! New review: We retired and moved to Chesapeake, Va in 2024. We could not find a dentist office that came close to Ma's Dentistry! The bar was set VERY high!! So we're willing to drive 3 hours to get the care we're accustomed to! And our dental hygienist, Sohyung, is the BEST!! So glad to be back at the ONLY dentist office we'll ever have!!

Not only did she tell me what she noticed but gave me suggestions and told me how they would be beneficial in the progression of a problem while pointing out different things on my X-Ray. Update: Dr. Abdi is amazing and knowledgeable. I suffer from migraines and amazing she could tell that by how my bite is. She was very detailed when explaining what she saw and how it could be affecting my migraines. She remedied the issue that I went in for and may possibly fix an ongoing medical issue that would have not been connected other wise.

I had five old crowns replaced, and the entire process took about two hours. The old crowns were removed and temporary ones were placed efficiently and professionally. What impressed me most was that I felt absolutely no pain during the procedure or afterward—not even the next day. Everything was explained clearly, the team was attentive, and I felt comfortable the entire time. Highly recommend this practice for anyone needing major dental work done with skill, care, and a gentle touch.

Experiencia fantástica: I have been getting great care from MA’s, I’ve had to replace two defective crowns in the last year, one with an implant and one just a new crown. Dr Dionisio did the implant and while the procedure took a while and had many steps the work was excellent and I never had any troubles. Dr Abrol did my crown and again the work was excellent and trouble free. The hygienists are skillful and detail oriented, take the time to do a thorough exam and cleaning. The staff is very friendly and helpful, also knowledgeable about working with my insurance to get me the proper coverage. I’m very pleased with MA’S Dentistry.

During the deep cleaning she kept checking on my to make sure i was ok and offered breaks if needed . I had a conflict for time they were super accommodating and very pleasant to work with I highly recommend them if you need a new dentist!!! The practice is in a Credit Union on the second floor you have to go as if your using the atm and it’s not very obvious from the outside

Everyone there is so kind and pleasant speaking to. They make sure you understand your appt visit and treatment, answering all questions. In the dental chair you are always ensured you're okay for patient comfort. Wheelchair friendly. I had an appt with Dr. Dionisio and am beyond grateful for her into depth explanations of treatment options (I have seen other dentists & they usually don't look at the big picture only offering the option that seems to benefit them-but not with Dr. Dionisio & her amazing team!!). My daughter has had dental work done by Dr. Abrol and had a good laugh with Victoria. She also had a cleaning with Jennifer, whom is extremely sweet, gentle, and very informative with the oral hygiene tips & tricks. The do an amazing job at making you feel comfortable laying out the plan and explaining every step of the way what the process will be like . Allowing the patient to to have input on when you need a break . The were very friendly and professional and most of all I felt absolutely no pain. I would recommend anyone I know to choose Ma”s .. Experiencia negativa: I suspect a lot of these reviews are faked by folks associated with the office (the most glowing ones are by people with only one review), as they parrot selling points that were preached at me by their staff while trying upsell me $1,400 of add-on services. Either that or it’s folks who have bought into their fear mongering and sales pitch. I’m the kind a weirdo who looks forward to the dentist - I go more frequently than necessary, see it as self care, and look forward to it like a day at the spa. Until today. This is my first appointment after relocating to this area and I left in tears after having to tell a hygenist to stop touching parts of my body that are not relevant to oral hygiene, while speaking to me in a condescending manner, telling me I “can’t comprehend” and “can’t understand” a conversation about their dental services. Insulting new patients’ intelligence while patting them like dogs and framing add-on services as essential, going so far as to deny standard services without agreeing to the add-ons, on the first time you see a new client is a truly bananas approach to customer care. I somehow left my 90 minute appointment for a routine teeth cleaning and exam without having my teeth cleaned or examined (or even seeing a dentist at all). I don’t appreciate having 90 minutes of my time wasted at an appointment for which I took time off work and now have to waste another day off if I dare to come back. I guess they’re going to mess with my money one way or another. It’s a shame because when I’m treat with respect I’m a dream client and I’ll upsell myself for the love of clean teeth.

Experiencia fantástica: This is my 3rd trip from Virginia Beach to get my dental work done to include an extraction a root canal and two crowns and Dr. Dionisio and her staff are a top notch dentistry team. The hygienist Jennifer did a great job taking a set of X-rays and a cleaning. As I continue with my dental work, the 4 hour drive is not a factor because I know the excellent treatment that i will be receiving from the time I arrived to the time my dental treatment is done. I read a recent review that is so false. So I would like to counter her false review. I did see a plaque at Dr Janice office was awarded a prestige award as a top dentist in Northern Virginia and I cannot agree more on the expertise professionalism excellence and kind staff they are well deserve of the top notch award as one of the best dentist practice and best team I have had the privilege to call them my dentist team.

They make sure you are well informed in what procedures and cost will be for what you are getting or need. 10/15 was my second visit for deep clean- the BEST. Thank you Ms. Jen, for the way you made me feel calm and not anxious . I dislike needles, so the numbing gel that was used - greatest of all time. She made sure I was comfortable doing the whole procedure. If you are looking for a dentist, especially if you are uncomfortable- Ma's Family is the one.

Experiencia negativa: Like many other bad reviews, I too was told I had a cavity, "maybe two." I've never had any cavities ever and this was the first time I went to this dentist. I asked them to compare my previous x-rays that were sent to them and they claimed they were "not good enough quality" to tell. I immediately got a 2nd opinion and was told it's unlikely I had any, but without x-rays couldn't be sure. Well today I had new x-rays taken and everything was perfectly fine. I'm so glad I went somewhere else. When I left, they also told me it would be $400 to do a single cavity. I called back and said I thought that was high as I just paid about $50 for one of my kids. The receptionist then backpedaled and said "oh well that's without insurance." Why are they telling me cavity quotes without my insurance run?? This place is so sketchy! Stay far away. I immediately didn't get good vibes. My current dentist also said she knows of this dentist and that they're just trying to make money with all this fancy in house treatments.

Experiencia fantástica: Had to have an emergency appt due to severe pain in lower molar and they were able to see me in 30 minutes! The front desk ladies were great -- especially the very competent Courtnei. I saw Dr. Colon, we ended up having to reschedule to have an extraction with bone graft done. I was given a professional estimate with all costs broken out and some treatment options. I dreaded the procedure, but it was done by Dr. Colon, she is simply terrific. I felt so lucky that I found MA's Dentistry! The facilities are very modern and well-equipped, the whole team is friendly and welcoming -- girl power shout-out!

Experiencia negativa: I came as a new patient because our old dentist no longer take our insurance and always kept up with my dental prophylaxis every 6 mons. I’ve not had cavities for a long time. And when I was seen there suddenly I have 4. They also overcharged me because I was told I needed deep cleaning too. So I decided to go seek out another dentist and they confirmed I have no cavities. This office charges a lot more because they have so much new instruments and machines they use.

Experiencia negativa: I visited this dental office two years ago and was told I had five cavities. I went through drilling, which caused ongoing tooth sensitivity. At a follow-up visit days later, they did not fix the sensitivity and told me I had a sixth cavity. Today, I got a second opinion from a different dentist and was told I have no cavities at all. Since cavities don’t heal on their own, this means the original diagnosis was likely incorrect. I now believe I received unnecessary treatment that caused long-term discomfort. This has seriously affected my trust in this practice, and I would not recommend them to others.

Experiencia fantástica: Well had a start of a cavity and came in for a filling. The dentist and dental tech were great, they worked well together and made the experience painless, literally. I had a concern with my bite guard and they took the time to listen to my concerns and also cleaned my old bite guard. Very responsive, compassionate and patient centric. I have been coming to Ma's for over 5 years and have positive interactions with all staff, from scheduling, cleaning, and with the dentists. As a patient I value everyone's hard work, effort, and most importantly caring. I find it translates into the work and service they provide. Not easy to pull off and they seem to work hard to achieve positive experiences, and that is difficult when it comes to dental work. I would also recommend if you have teeth and gum issues get your teeth cleaned 3-4 times a year, and yes you will pay out of pocket but the consequences of bad oral health can have bigger health consequences so treat yourself to cleaning.

Sue Min is my hygienist and is the sweetest, most thorough hygienist I’ve ever had. My cavity filling experience was painless and probably the most enjoyable ever. What made it so great is that the Dentist and her assistant were having a hilarious conversation/bantering the entire time. What became readily apparent is that these women are brilliant and were definitely having this discussion purely to distract me from the cavity filling experience. Bedside manner is 10/10

There aren’t enough people in the world for me to wait nearly half a year for a second appointment where you actually do something with my teeth. Oh, by the way, God blessed me because there’s nothing wrong with my teeth but this dentist wanted to do fillings. Went back to my initial dentist and she said my teeth were flawless and not to allow anyone to drill on them. SMH. Fraudsters.

Before your first appointment you fill out an online form with your concerns, fears, etc. If you are afraid of dentists (like SO many people are), they are a great place to go because they really take your fears to heart and address them directly. They may offer you a blanket if you're more comfortable that way, or an object to squeeze while you're in the chair. They're nonjudgmental and kind, and just want to make sure you have the best experience possible. Highly recommend them for anyone with dental anxiety, stress around medical appointments, and other issues.

Experiencia positiva: I have to say I am very dissatisfied with your check-in procedure that requires patients to respond to an online questionnaire each time when they arrive. It is clear that this is being done for your own convenience, when it would be a simple task instead to have your receptionist/patient--greater ask patients when they arrive whether there has been any change in their medications or medical history. In addition, having completed the online questionnaire recently and getting the message/invite to come up to the office, I found it very annoying to be asked what my name was when I entered the office. Had the receptionist been required to receive and read my online questionnaire, she would would have known who was now entering the office. Thank you.

And most importantly, they are respectful of your time. You are not waiting for hours to be seen, they get you in and out, all while providing high quality service. If I could give them 10 stars I would, because 5 doesn't do them justice. Now if only I could find a doctors office as amazing . . .

They designed and shared a treatment plan that considered my needs and budget. Just had a tooth extracted and it was very gentle and no complications. Since I'm a senior, there were options and help to pay for fees. I highly recommend this practice
