It’s closer to home and from the outside, it looks fresh & modern. I’m so glad I did because it has been my best dental experience EVER. I had my cleaning with them 2 weeks ago and they were efficient and professional. I was seen promptly and left within an hour with a fresh and clean smile. Then I scheduled two appointments for my children. They were seen today and this is the visit that made me a loyal customer. Dr Chung is THE BEST with kids!!!! The front desk staff greeted me warmly, and I didn't have to wait past my scheduled appointment time, which is a huge plus for me. My doctor was exceptional. They were incredibly gentle yet thorough, constantly checking in to make sure I wasn't experiencing any sensitivity or discomfort. I usually dread the scraping part of a cleaning, but this was easily the most pain-free experience I’ve ever had. The office itself is pristine and modern, which adds to the peace of mind.

I checked in for my appt and was seen almost immediately after paying my out of pocket cost. The location was incredibly clean, had new equipment and an overall clean aesthetic. Dr. Chung was thorough, polite and explained what he saw on the x rays and went through a thorough treatment plan. He even did my cleaning. Front desk also explained my payment options shortly after. I had an great experience and would recommend this office for anyone looking for a new dentist or that is unhappy with their current dentist.

They found a few additional cavities, but the team was incredibly communicative and transparent about what needed to be done. They gave me a clear treatment plan with a cost breakdown and were able to schedule the work very quickly. One huge plus: they’re open 7 days a week, which makes scheduling so convenient. Every time I’m there, the staff is up to speed on my history, and when I leave they always say, “See you on [cleaning appointment date].” It just feels so frictionless going to them. Just last night, I discovered a hole in one of my molars and worried I had loosened a recent filling. I decided to walk over to their office and ask what I should do. To my surprise, they squeezed me in right away between appointments. Dr. Woo checked it, explained that it was an old filling that had come out, and fixed it in literally two minutes. The man is a ninja! Overall, Dr. Woo and his team work with impressive speed and precision, using ultra-modern equipment. What used to feel like hours in the chair now takes half the time. Honestly, it feels like dentistry from the 22nd century. I couldn’t be happier as a patient and highly recommend them.

After my free consultation and X-rays I was able to sit down and discuss my options regarding my treatment plan and how to pay for treatment. They worked with me to find a plan that fit my budget, and they were even ready to start treatment the same day. I really appreciated that they listened when I said I wasn’t mentally ready and preferred to schedule for another day. They were completely understanding and never made me feel pressured or uncomfortable. Overall was a good experience and I feel comfortable going forward with my treatment plan.

Experiencia fantástica: I visited the office in Jersey City. Firstly, the office, location, cleanliness, receptionists, equipment, dental assistants(Alex & Leidy), and Dr. Woo are exceptional, I can't thank them enough, they saved my life. So, I've visited my previous dentist a few days before and again on a Saturday, the dentist wasn't avail so I had to see the available dental hygienist at the time. Neither of them could figure out what was contributing to the pain(5) on the left side of my mouth. X-rays didn't show anything and I had no cavities, so they prescribed 600mg Ibuprofen to hold me over from the pain until my next scheduled appt. with them on that following Tuesday. The ibuprofen worked. Finally, sweet relief! I could finally get some sleep as I haven't slept the night before due to the pain. Unfortunately, the relief was brief. That Saturday night through Sunday morning was one of the worst nights of my life - there's a story of a man that jumped off the Golden Gate Bridge years ago and his note read: "Nothing more than a toothache." The pain I was experiencing was at 20+, I've never felt anything like it - endless, persistent pulsating, radiating from my tooth throughout nearly the entire left side of my body. It brought me to my knees. I was in tears. My fiancé woke up and saw me crying in pain and after some searching and discussion around a potential hospital visit, she found Woo Dental. WD was open on Sunday, many dentists aren't avail on the weekend so I was somewhat relieved that there was a possibility that my suffering will come to an end shortly. She contacted the office as soon as it opened. I was seen that same morning. They did a full panoramic x-ray, which was very easy and very fast. X-rays looked good. Dr. Woo asked about my pain and previous symptoms, I told him "Pain is 10 to 20, it's pulsating throughout the left side of my face and upper body and I was experiencing sensitivity days before." Dr. Woo swiftly replies, "Cracked molar! Can you point to the general location?" I then pointed to the molar I thought it was, to which Dr. Woo then replies, "I bet it's the one behind it." He proceeds to take a detailed, high resolution colored picture of my lower-left molars and pulls up a clear image on a large screen affixed in the office and BAM! There it is, cracked molar, clear as day and Dr. Woo was right. It was the one behind the one I pointed at. The tooth required an immediate extraction. The assistant gave me a detailed breakdown of the costs of the extraction, optional dental implant(recommended due to jawbone resorption, bite problems, etc.), and timeframe for completing the phases of dental implants. Offerings are very affordable and they also have a great membership plan. This was great, because the previous visits at the unrelated dentist exhausted my dental coverage. Dr. Woo and the assistant took great care of me during my extraction and first phase of the implant(abutment), I also had an abutment installed in another extraction I had done years before. It's been about 3 weeks now and I feel great. Everything is healing nicely and I'm pain free!!! I'm forever grateful to Dr. Woo and dental assistants, Alex and Leidy, at Woo Dental. 10/10 experience for me. I will be returning.

Experiencia negativa: I wasn't happy at all with my first visit since the office nor the doctor informed me that they do not participate with the insurance I have, and the service they provide is out of network. I signed the initial paperwork online and had my r-rays taken.The price the doc charges is way too high compared to the insurance company fees.

I came in on a Sunday with a painful emergency—what turned out to be a “hot tooth.” I had seen my previous dentist just a month prior, who told me everything looked fine, but clearly, something was missed. Dr. Woo quickly identified that I needed a root canal and also found cavities under my front crowns that required replacement. He was incredibly gentle, thorough, and explained every step in a way that made me feel at ease. His staff was equally warm, kind, and attentive. My teeth have never looked or felt better. Dr. Woo and his staff are kind and compassionate and utilize all the best products and equipment. I’m always in out as quick as possible. You get shaded glasses for your comfort during procedures. I never feel like the staff is trying to upsell me or put me through anything unnecessary. Cleanings are thorough and Dr. Woo takes time to answer questions and do a complete check up. Bonus small details like a scented towel to clean up with and other nice touches make the experience truly enjoyable and less of a routine chore. I recommend Dr. Woo to everyone!

Experiencia negativa: I asked twice, very firmly, to not have novocaine for a cleaning and they did it anyway. They then sent me a prescription for a medication that I told them I have an allergy to. They're expensive. And most importantly one of their employees, I imagine the owner, parks illegally in front of the shop all the time blocking pedestrians' view of traffic entering Central Ave. Update in response to your reply. Who gives like 20 injections for a cleaning? And yes, you prescribed ibuprofen which gives me an asthma attack. Park legally. Btw even the Google maps street view shows you parked illegally... that's how often you do it. And a new 5 star review pops right up after I leave this review. What a coincidence. You have 500 reviews and I imagine most of them are fake. Offices that have been in the neighborhood for decades have less reviews.

It's been a long time since I've visited the dentist and I knew that my next visit would require a fair amount of cleanup, a probable route canal and a handful of cavities. I expressed my anxiety when I scheduled the appointment and the lady on the phone was absolutely fantastic. She acknowledged my anxiety, wasn't dismissive. The visit itself was better than expected. After some initial x-rays, I sat down for a brief but thorough consultation with Dr. Woo. A consummate professional and bedside manner fantastic. At this point, the anxiety had subsided. Dr. Woo and his dental assistant (Dainer ?) narrated everything they were doing and why, with regular check-ins during each stage of the procedure. And then it was over. We had a debrief, and planned the next phase of my treatment. His scheduler was busy with another client so Dr. Woo actually went through the billing and payment with me This clearly demonstrated that he is familiar with every part of his business, and it's a team effort with a positive and professional vibe. Great experience. 10/10 !!

Experiencia negativa: Came here with my wife and daughter for a cleaning. They gave us a call to ask is if we could come in an hour early which we said no problem. Upon arrival they told us that it was a mistake and we had to wait until our initial appointment time which resulted in a very long wait time. Once in the office the dentist rushed my cleaning. My wife felt the same way they also ask for deposits for deep cleanings even if your insurance fully covers it.

Experiencia positiva: General cleanings here are great. The office is very clean, cute, and modern. The staff and the dentist are really friendly and professional too. My only major critique is that they didn't fully explain to me the risk or side effects of whitening prior to me paying for the treatment. The only thing that I was told when I booked the appointment is that I should avoid drinks and foods that will stain the teeth for several days. But all of the scary run downs was given to me after I paid which feels deceptive. Had they explained to me thoroughly what the post care would entail prior to me paying I would have never booked whitening as I am very sensitive to pain and do not do well with pain. Post treatment I am experiencing severe pain that I did not expect at all and I am very regretful of undergoing this treatment. :( Edit: I also think that the doctor should inform his secretaries not to rush people into paying for a procedure. Initially, I had enquired about whitening after my general cleaning a few weeks prior and the secretary asked me if I wanted to do it right now which she then had made me sign and asked for card details without bringing in the doctor or someone else who was knowledgeable to inform me about everything prior to asking for my card details. I honestly didn't think anything of it given how nonchalant she was treating it. Luckily my card had expired on that day so I wasn't able to pay for it which I should have taken as a sign. Long story short, it's important to think about patients first and not money and properly inform a patient even if it risks them not foregoing a treatment that will bring more money to the office. Because we're dealing with people's health and well being and not properly informing someone runs the risk of a procedure negative effecting someone's life either short term or long term.

The folks at Woo were very thoughtful about my anxiety and were cautious with me and explained everything they proposed we do after a free consolation. the thing that most impressed me however was that they do the little things right. We all assume the dentists will do the big stuff properly, but these folks were kind, the place is clean, my appointment started precisely on time. they explained the whole thing, checked with my insurance while I sat in the chair, all was approved and we did the small procedure, kind and swift and courteous the whole way. I appreciate the big things for sure, but it's the little ones that make the visit comfy. It's great to have a dentist in the neighborhood, I can walk home! Welcome to the Heights, Dr. Woo!

Experiencia positiva: The two receptionist were very nice. The dentist was OK, but definitely was less informative. I thought the procedure would be exactly the same way as I got it last time and this time it was a lot different. I didn’t know I was going to wake up in the middle of the procedure and then feel everything. That definitely would’ve been something I would’ve liked to know so I was prepared. So halfway through the procedure, I was awake and crying. Which was a very traumatizing experience for me and I don’t think I’m ever gonna go back again. I’m only gonna go back for the checkout because I have to. Other than that, I don’t think I am.
