Experiencia negativa: I had been delighted seeing the prior providers who practiced in this same space for several years. MDG, not so much. One business day before a scheduled cleaning I received a call to say that my copay was over $100. That seemed odd to me, and I investigated. My dental insurance was intact and would have covered the cleaning; however, my provider since before COVID is no longer with the practice. I was not told this. Further, I suspect that the practice wanted to be rid of a patient with a complex medical history and found a means!

I only felt a slight pinch from the needle and she was so precise with the placement that I literally only felt a bit of pressure as she worked on my teeth - no pain at all! From the moment she walked in she spoke in a calm, reassuring manner & explained every step of what she was doing. I'm not a normally anxious person but for any one who has anxiety when going to the dentist she would be the PERFECT doctor for you! The dentist's assistant, Marley, was also phenomenal! His demeanor allowed me to feel at ease & if I had any questions I felt assured he would answer them & that I could TRUST what he says.

However, my husband recommended the office, so I went in for a regular cleaning appointment. Dr. Yeh spoke with me and explained my options, recommending Invisalign. He was honest and upfront about what my insurance would cover and what I would need to pay out of pocket, which made a huge difference for me. I immediately felt I could trust Dr. Yeh with my treatment. He guided me through the process and scheduled regular visits to ensure everything looked good. I came in because my tooth had cracked And he made sure that I was as comfortable as possible, as he did his initial examination and took x-rays of my teeth (I was in so much pain!). He did refer me to an oral surgeon to properly take care of the tooth (wisdom tooth), But I really appreciated his kind and professional demeanor — as well as that of his staff. Once this is taken care of, I will be back for a cleaning!

When I arrived for my appointment I checked in and was taken in for x-rays very quickly. Everyone introduced themselves and tried to make sure I was comfortable. Jasmine did a great job cleaning. Dr Hahn took his time to explain his recommendations and went over all my x-rays and scans. Everyone was so pleasant and nice.

Experiencia negativa: They charge everything a lot more expensive than my previous dentist on Manhattan. And they don’t check my insurance carefully for coverage, resulting in a couple hundred dollar bill for me just for dental cleaning after my insurance paid for coverage. I noticed Dr Hahn was OUT OF NETWORK for me after receiving my EOB from the insurance company, even though they told me he was IN NETWORK during the visit. Also I was rushed & dismissed by Dr Hahn when discussing my concerns, which was quite a disappointment as I saw a lot of good reviews for him here.

I made it known to the dentist assistant, Shameeka and she did not insult me for this instead she ensured to make sure that I was comfortable. Shameeka, you are amazing! My time with Dr. Yeh and his hygienist Carmen was very knowledgeable, welcoming, smooth and efficient! Dr. Yeh made a treatment plan for my teeth without trying to oversell a bunch of unnecessary work, he got straight to the point! I couldn’t be more satisfied!

I filled out registration and insurance forms online in advance of my visit, which meant I didn't have to sit in the waiting room balancing a clipboard on my lap. The x-ray technician and hygienist were both caring and thorough - it's the first time I learned how to *properly* floss. Dr. Hahn himself was lively and kind, and equally thorough. An all-around great experience!

I went to the same dentist for 25 years until his retirement. I tried a few places before I found Dr. Hahn. I am now a loyal patient!

Experiencia positiva: The doctor and assistant were great, and I can’t stress that enough. Nonetheless, the office itself is not what im used to as far as technology and advancements, and their site is a little misleading. The office is called Midtown Dental Group Jersey City, but the receipt I received says Jersey City Dental, which is another dental office in the same building, which led me to google them, and their office seems far more superior to Midtown’s office in terms of advancement and technology, definitely more up to par with what I’m used to. I should also add that Midtown’s site claims to use to most advanced technology etc. but I didn’t see it with the exception the scanner, the office also feels very closed in and could definitely use a remodel/TLC. Additionally, Midtown has a small list of insurances they work with on their site, MetLife PPO being one of them, nonetheless, on the day of my visit, I received a call saying they are not in network with my provider and my cost would be $110 out of pocket. Whereas, Jersey City Dental, downstairs from Midtown, accepts most major insurances and has a much more elite feel from what I’ve gathered. Overall, my rating is a 3/5 based on how much I enjoyed the doctor and his assistant, but my personal preferences in terms of lack of advancements and technology, office conditions and lack of transparency on their site could use some improvements. Though my experience wasn’t horrible, it could’ve been better.
