Experiencia fantástica: Dr. Chris Kim and his team at Lazaro Dental provide first rate dental services. I had to have two crowns created and installed and Dr. Chris completed the process today. Dr. Chris and his assistant, I unfortunately have forgotten her name, were a well experienced and efficient team. Dr. Chris kept me informed throughout the process on he was doing and why he was doing it and I had no discomfort at all, during the prep visit and the finishing visit today. The Lanzaro Dental practice front office is friendly and very efficient. Erica was very helpful with my insurance and I am very pleased. They easily compliment Dr. Chris, his assistant, and the other members of staff. A well run, professional team operation from front to back. My wife and I have been going to the Lanzaro practice for many years and Dr. Chris promises to extend the excellent service and care that we have always experienced here. Update 11 Apr 24: I saw Dr Chris and his team as part of their Detailed Comprehensive Oral Evaluation (dCOE) process today and they continue to provide a high level of skill and personal interaction. The best part of this process is that each team member clearly explained each step of the process and everything flowed smoothly. I like forward to seeing the treatment plan. I know we’ve made the right decision to continue with Dr Chris and the LIVEWELL DENTAL team.

I’ve dealt with spacing in my front teeth for years, and over time I tried everything from bonding, removing bonding, Invisalign (and yes, some relapse on my part), and even crowns after an emergency root canal. However, Livewell Dental is on the short list of outstanding practices. Dr. Chris Kim, (he exudes a cool California vibe) and staff (super efficient, friendly, and patient-centered) make a dental appointment, for many a stressful experience, into a visit that ends with the best outcomes . From the moment an appointment is made , Dr Kim and the entire team are focused on ensuring that the patient is presented with and offered the most advanced dental options in the area. Also, during the visit , Dr Kim’s office is designed to relax you while he expertly resolves all dental concerns to the patient’s satisfaction. An added benefit, Dr Kim just radiates assurance, kindness, and sincere care about patients.

Experiencia negativa: ⭐ 1 Star - Prioritizes Billing Over Patient Care I do not recommend LiveWell Dental. They refused to provide me with a routine cleaning unless I agreed to new x-rays in their office—despite having comprehensive x-rays from just six months ago that I offered to share. The Issues: Unnecessary X-Rays: When I declined additional x-rays (not covered by insurance and medically unnecessary given my recent comprehensive films), they claimed my existing x-rays "weren't enough" and demanded more. This appears to be a revenue-driven decision rather than a medically necessary one. Refusal of Service: They refused to perform a cleaning without these x-rays, putting my dental health at risk. There is no legitimate clinical reason to refuse preventive care when comprehensive diagnostic images are already available. Extended Wait Time: They would not schedule me until July—coincidentally, when they could perform their x-rays and bill insurance for additional services. A 6-7 month wait for routine preventive care is unacceptable. Bottom Line: This practice appears more interested in maximizing insurance billing than providing appropriate patient care. When a dental office refuses basic preventive services because you won't agree to unnecessary procedures, it's time to find a new dentist. I wasted my time and will be taking my business elsewhere. There are plenty of dental practices that prioritize patient health over billing opportunities.

I have been going to this practice since it was Lanzaro Dental and I can honestly say that the quality of care has gotten even better (which I did not think would be possible after years of great experiences with Dr. Lanzaro). The technology is state of the art, their attention to detail is amazing, and they are able to address any common dental problem on site. The front office staff is well organized and friendly. One thing I really appreciate is their willingness to give you a heads-up if they expect something will not be covered by your insurance. This has come up on multiple occasions for me, and they always give me as much information as can reasonably be expected. They also help optimize timing of appointments so that you get the most out of your coverage. Highly recommend!

After a very brief wait, the Dental Hygienist escorts you back to her comfortable treatment office while patiently explaining in layman’s terms her procedures. Her skills are remarkable and a thorough teeth cleaning with care will be provided. Dr. Kim will follow for his review of your X-rays and a thorough examination of your teeth and gums to assure your complete dental health. This is a world class dental team dedicated to you and to the best dental practices.

Experiencia fantástica: The occasion to my visit to Dr. Chris was a nagging pain arising from the far right corner of my upper jaw -- a place in which there was no teeth. Dr. Chris then found, as a result of his comprehensive examination, an impacted wisdom tooth that was decaying and causing an infection. He explained in detail the nature of the problem as well as the steps to be taken to address the issue. It was going to involve more than a routine tooth extraction, since the infected tooth was buried near the end of my maxilla and was situated close to the boundary to the sinus. In preparation for the procedure, he ensured that I was thoroughly anesthetized, and a felt no pain at all. He then built up the barrier immediately beneath the sinus with an extract of my own blood's tissue. After the procedure and after the anesthesia wore off, there was some discomfort in the area of the surgery, but the discomfort was gone by the end of the day. Next day, everything felt great. Definitely pressures you to have services you don't need (mentioned something like 'Toyota vs Lexus'). If he tries to make you get a procedure that costs more than $250, please make sure to get a second opinion. Be strong!

First, when I walked into the office, I was warmly greeted by Ms. Alejandra. She did a wonderful job of explaining all costs in a completely honest manner. At the end of the visit, I wasn’t stuck with hidden fees or “gotcha” costs. Accordingly, Dr. Kim did an excellent job fixing a plethora of issues with my teeth. However, Dr. Kim is not just a good dentist, but he is extraordinarily knowledgeable and personable! He made me feel very comfortable and continuously explained every step to me during the entire process. If you visit Livewell Dentistry, it will be the absolute best experience! EDIT: March 28, 2025 I wanted to edit my review with new information. On February 6, 2024, I was informed via text message that I had a balance of $503.00, nearly 4 months after my services. That was completely shocking! I’ve never received a dental bill this delayed. It was very frustrating. I asked why the bill was so late. Accordingly, I was told that my claim was delayed being processed by my insurance company because it was “restorative work.” When I checked with my insurance company, they had processed the claim months ago in September 2024. So, there was no reason why I should have been receiving a bill, almost 4 months later for $503.00. This bill should have been given to me in September 2024! Instead, it was given to me by the dentist office, via text message, in February 2025. This situation was quite shocking. I switched dentist offices, immediately. I don’t like receiving surprise dental bills almost 4 months after service. I’ve never experienced something like this. I will still give the office 3 stars because the dentist was nice, and there was no long waiting period when I arrived for my appointment.

She was very knowledgeable and answered all of my insurance questions while helping schedule my first appointment. I received the same warm welcome when I came back today. Dr. Kim was great and did a quick consultation before my cleaning inquiring about everything from what I did for a living to what went wrong and what went right with my previous dental provider. Just a great way to be more personable with your patients. Natalie assisted Dr. Kim and was very proficient while handling everything from x-rays to helping with my cleaning. All was painless. A very calming and welcoming atmosphere - I can’t say enough good things and I look forward to my next visit!

I needed to be seen quickly as I had broken a tooth and was leaving for a business trip in about a week. Livewell was able to get me seen that day, and start the crown prep the following day and install the crown within a week. Work was efficient and pain free. No one likes to be drilled on, but the numbing was good and probably as quick as could be done. It wasn't the horrible experience I have had before - I can't say a crown is pleasant, but Dr Chris made the process as quick and pain free as possible. He runs a great office and his team functions very well together. If you are in need of a dentist, I highly recommend Livewell Dental Practice.
