The office is exceptionally clean and has a very professional atmosphere. My dental hygienist, Raquel, was incredibly thorough, and the techs who took my X-rays were kind and had excellent bedside manner. Dr. Luna took his time explaining my treatment plan in detail and offered thoughtful options and was considerate of costs. Overall, I had a great experience at Highlands Family Dentistry and would highly recommend them to anyone. I already have my next appointment scheduled! Experiencia negativa: I was visiting in Dallas. They saw me within a day or two of my crown falling off. (The quickness of their booking was why I did not give a 1-star review.) They glued my crown back on for $350, and within four weeks, it fell off again. Not good.

Experiencia negativa: I’ve been going to Highlands Family Dentistry for a couple years now and I was disappointed in the service today. I called 24 hours in advance on a Monday to reschedule my appt due to personal matters I could not change. The receptionist gave me a lecture about needing to cancel 48 hours in advance, which wasn’t possible since they’re not open on Sunday. She said she’d waive the cancellation fee. I appreciate that but then she said the next availability wasn’t until may 20th which is a month away. I find that hard to believe since I’ve always been able to get an appt within a week when I call. I’ll just find a new dentist.

I appreciate that there is a variety of appointment times from early morning to mid- midafternoon, though I would make a vote for bringing back Friday appointments. Saw Raquwl for my hygienist and she was very friendly and quick and Dr. Lalangas who is always great. Their dental payment plan helps with affordability. Pleasant waiting room. I was able to have my 8 month old with me during the appointment and they were very accommodating of it.

I have been trying for several months to get someone to return my calls; I can’t even get anyone to respond concerning the Invisalign treatment that I am undergoing. I had to issue a stop pay on the monthly charge for Invisalign that do not fit and all they understand from that action is that they are not getting paid. Next step for me is the court house!

I chipped my tooth last week and found Highlands Family Dentistry this morning while searching for the best dentist in Dallas. After submitting an inquiry through their website, they called me within 30 minutes and scheduled me for an appointment the same afternoon at 1:45 p.m. I arrived early at 1:15 p.m., and to my surprise and delight, they brought me back swiftly. Daisy, the dental assistant, was kind and professional throughout the process, and Dr. Luna was excellent. His friendly communication style and approachable demeanor made the experience much less stressful; like many, I don't like being at the dentist. It felt like I was talking to a person rather than being talked down to—a very calming and welcoming experience that I deeply appreciated. To top it all off, they inspected and fixed my chipped tooth in just 30 minutes. The efficiency and quality of care were outstanding, and I left satisfied & grateful. That said, one aspect of the visit did stand out in a less positive way. Before the procedure began, the office manager approached me while I was already seated in the dentist’s chair and required immediate payment. As someone without insurance, this felt abrupt and transactional, and it didn’t put me at ease. While I understand the policy, it would have been better handled either before entering the exam room or after the procedure. The timing made it feel less personal and slightly diminished an otherwise excellent experience. She was still kind and respectful, but still. Overall, I’m still giving Highlands Family Dentistry five stars for their exceptional service, quick response, and professional team.

Raquel (the hygienist) is incredibly thorough and focused. The front desk staff are so lovely and warm as well and it’s super easy to schedule an appointment. Also really appreciate that Dr. Sauerwein is conservative with her treatment plans and doesn’t push procedures on you. Very happy this practice is in Lake Highlands!
