Fantastic experience: Warning!!! Dentist was great, the admin…. Irresponsible! Made calls to follow up because no claim been processed, but got ask to send emails instead, so I did! Later, blamed me delaying the process for sending email instead of calling!! 2months after they finally sent out the claim(after me callings to remind them) Until now still under processing. They told me 3 months is a very short waiting time even it’s them who forgot to send out the claim, yet I should just wait for their calls… if they remember this time…. Totally understood things happen, but impatient tone of voice telling you to wait for another 2-3 weeks becoz they are just too busy and your case is not urgent at all is insane…. My suggestion is avoid paying anything ahead or avoid Parklane Temple City!!!! For those who wants to spend months to follow up PAY them right the way! They do have good dentists thou!!!

Negative experience: I visited the dentist last year. He told me that I had one cavity and he fixed it for me. After seven months, I went back for a follow up. He told me the same tooth had a serious cavity. He recommended me to see a specialist to do RCT (root canal treatment). After that I came back to see him and make a crown for me. I asked him to explain why the cavity came back and worse than before, and he couldn’t explain it to me clearly. Since he was the one who did the first procedure, just seven months prior, I feel like he didn’t do the job right the first time. I would give half a star if I could. It makes me very disappointed.

Negative experience: Super cute place BUT they referred me to an out of network endodontist. I decided to get a quote somewhere else myself because I have that option, Parkland made it super difficult. Then when I contacted theirs go get a second quote, they told him to tell me that he did not treat minors! lol I see the dental game you are playing. Anyway, cute place.......

Negative experience: Showed up for my toddler's pediatric dentist appointment which is ONLY available on Wednesdays only to be told they don't take our dental insurance. I purposely provided the insurance information weeks ago because we ran into similar situations before with Parklane Dental. I did not receive any followup call after providing the detailed insurance information even after I specifically said "please reach out if there's any issues with the insurance/coverage". My husband and I took the day off and pulled my toddler out of school for the appointment only to be told they don't accept our health insurance and that the visit would need to be paid out of pocket. No follow-up, no apologies until we sternly provided our feedback that the process is broken. I appreciated that one of the nurses at the front desk for acknowledging that they should have called and that was a mistake on their part for not calling but she also said that it's up to the insurance department to check the patients insurance information on a rolling basis. However, as a customer, I could care less which department was responsible. It's the failure of the entire business as a whole to not inform patients/parents in advance before we wasted our time and energy, especially since I took the initiative to provide the insurance information well in advance in attempts to prevent this from happening. Keep in mind we've been coming here since my toddler was a baby and we will not be coming back again with this level of service and followup, or lack thereof. Also, the dentist and nurses only do a mediocre job of examining and cleaning my toddler's teeth each time we've visited, so I guess it's not a huge loss on our part either way.

Positive experience: I used to bring my daughter here years ago, and she loved it here! Unfortunately, we had to change dentist as it was too far to bring her when she gets carsick during long rides. When I needed a dentist last year, I remembered this place, and have been coming here since. It’s always very clean, with pleasant people working here.

Fantastic experience: My family have been going to ParkLane Dental in Temple City since it opened in 2019, their services are excellent and the staff are friendly and efficient. The clinic is nice and clean, with very cute hello kitty decor. I highly recommend ParkLane Dental. Make sure you call and book your appointment ahead of time as booking gets filled quickly, they always call and text to remind me of upcoming appointment, and check me in fairly quickly upon arrival which I love !

Positive experience: Overall, I've been very pleased with the service Parklane Dental provides. My family has been coming to them for over 5 years. My kids have typically seen Dr. Eric To, but we have had other dentists who have consistently delivered nothing short of a great experience. However, we had the unfortunate experience with Dr. Crystal Yeap yesterday. She made us feel so rushed. She couldn't wait 3 minutes for my 5 year old son to use the restroom after his cleaning to go over the results of my kids check-up. I had no explanation as to what the recommended treatment my daughter needed and only got a brief explanation from the assistant. She makes you feel like just another number she needs to get through versus a patient. AVOID DR. YEAP and you will most likely have a pleasant experience here.

Negative experience: I dont recommend this place to any kids at young age, below 10. The office can do very minimal to calm down the kids, and very limited service can be provided while charge full price. Small kids dont always cooperate, they should not charge full price if they only provided minimal services!

Fantastic experience: I've been coming to Parklane Dental in Temple City for about a year now, and every visit has been a great experience. I've had two cleanings, X-rays, and just got teeth whitening done today—all handled professionally and with great care. I also had a wisdom tooth removal at their Arcadia location, and they made sure I was comfortable and well taken care of throughout the process. The staff is friendly, the office is clean, and the quality of care is top-notch. Highly recommend!

Fantastic experience: I’ve had multiple cleanings and work done here. I have not had any issues with the any of the team. The Admin, Nurses and Doctors are very positive and welcoming and professional. After reading the bad reviews, I consistently see the reviewer complaining about insurance. I don’t know these folks personally, but I think they need to connect with their insurance and address the root of the problem. I’m sadden by the bad reviews. I hope they are resolved. I would recommend anyone who is using insurance for a service, to understand the coverage and check with the location of interest for compatibility. And for each procedure or purchase ask for a quote in advance. Parklane dental has been very transparent about their rates. Today, was no exception. Before adding any additional services, Admin came to the room and discussed the pricing with me before moving forward. Throughout my entire visit, the nurse and doctor both made sure that every new quadrant of my mouth being treated, they checked in with me to make sure I was doing well. Overall terrific service. Negative experience: As a pediatric dentist, apparently the dentist has zero patience with kids. Well, they make big money so they don't really care, and they don't need to care. Totally understandable.

Negative experience: I am writing to express my dissatisfaction with the handling of my recent claim by Parklane dental. Over the past 30 days, I have encountered significant challenges in tracking the status of my dental claim, despite multiple follow-ups. Each time I inquire, I am told different information, leading to confusion and delays. I was previously assured that all necessary documentation had been submitted, yet I was later informed that additional information is required. This experience has been both frustrating and time-consuming. The lack of clarity and consistent communication has made it difficult to trust the process, and I no longer feel confident in continuing my relationship with Parklane Dental. It has become more stressful to navigate this situation compared to my experiences with other Dental providers. I was told that I needed to pay for a large portion of my bill which I wasn’t obligated to. And was told I was gonna get my refund once my claim was processed from my insurance. It’s been over 2 years and I haven’t gotten any follow ups since then. Do not pay anything else but what you are owed which is “patients out of pocket payment obligations”. As a result, I will be exploring alternative options for my dental needs. I hope this feedback helps to improve the experience for other clients in the future. Sincerely, Eric Borro

Fantastic experience: They are so friendly. I needed an emergency visit, they accommodated me quickly and when i went in it was fast and friendly. They helped me and got me taken care of! This will definitely be my new place to go for any dental needs!

Negative experience: The only reason I went to Parkland for the last 15 years is the office looks very clean. After continued visiting Parkland Dental for 15 years, I have to say BYE to Dr. Eric To. He filled my left chipped tooth for several times in two months but still fell out. The filling only last one day, two days, one week, never last more than two weeks. He charged me more than $200 cash from my own pocket even though I have very good Aetna PPO insurance. Othe dentist usually charged $20 dollars only. After failed so many times, I went to another dentist to restore the same tooth, only cost me $134 without insurance. The insurance wouldn’t pay the same tooth filling in 2 years. The filling did by another dental office is excellent, which has been lasting three months and has no any issues. Dr. To suggested me to do crown after the filling failed eight times. I think he might want the same tooth to make him money one more time - charging for the filling and then charging for the crown. Dr. To did two crowns in my right side, both top and bottom. Both crowns are really bad. I feel pain even when I drink water. He messed up my teeth. Another dentist told me I don't need to do the crowns. Both teeth could be fixed well by filling. I think the only reason Dr. To did two crowns for me is to make money, not helping to fix my teeth. He cared more about money than his patients. He charged me more than $700 cash for each crown (total charged me $1,400 cash for both crowns) from my own pocket besides the insurance pay. He only spent 5 minutes and then rush to the next chair, leaving most of the work to his assistant. He has very beautiful offices, which attract most of his clients. He is a business man rather than a dentist. If Dr. To wants to fix your teeth, you really need second opinion from other dental office. Parkland is a good clean station only, not a real dental office. Dr. To is a good business man, not a real dentist. If you only want to clean your teeth, that is OK to go there. If you want a dentist to fix your teeth, don't go there. Dr. To is NOT a real dentist.

Negative experience: I have always been a happy customer of Dr To at the TC location until I had my cleanings done with Dr Yeap!! The routine work was shortened by half the time. There was no difference as for the end results. I didn’t appreciate the unprofessional attitude & body language throughout the session. I will definitely reschedule my future cleanings when my regular hygienist is not available.

Negative experience: The Hygienist hurts 我的臉when cleaning my teeth. The company respective told me that she can give me $10 credit because of my complaint. 很好笑！

Fantastic experience: Kid friendly, nice environment, great customer service, direction was easy to follow, time efficient, application was easy to understand, overall was a great experience. This place is not only for kids but also for adults. Looking forward to our next dental appointments.

Negative experience: Came to this office because of the Sanrio theme. Office is relatively clean and cutely themed with Sanrio characters. However, I think that might be their best attribute. They only have one pediatric dentist on Wednesday, Dr. Wesley. Appointment availability is limited for small kids. In addition, you need to be careful with their billing if you are using insurance. My insurance Cigna PPO is in network for their office, but OUT-OF-NETWORK for their pediatric dentist according to their staff. However, we were not informed of this when dental procedures were done on my kids. So we had to pay a lot more for the procedures. When I asked the staff, they just brushed it off and said they didn't know. I requested a referral to another pediatric dentist due to the insurance. When we were signing the paperwork for the record release, the staff offered price matching so we didn't need to go elsewhere. It felt was very unprofessional given that it's a medical/dental office.

Fantastic experience: The office is clean and cute as usual, but what stood out the most are the staff. They are always friendly and helpful. One staff in particular has always been a star staff and her name is Grace. She is sweet, personable, and always willing to share her vast amount of knowledge. Thank you Grace and Park Lane Dental.

Negative experience: It is difficult for me to express my disappointment in words. Let me begin by how far in advance I booked my appointment: SIX WEEKS in advance let me continue with how far I traveled to this appointment: 350 miles by air, 15 miles by car I found Parklane Dental - Temple City on Instagram, promoting themselves as a Sanrio licensed and themed dental office “The first dental office in the USA featuring Hello Kitty and Gudetama!” when I called to book my appointment for a new patient exam and a cleaning, SIX WEEKS AGO, I requested the Hello Kitty exam room as seen on Instagram. I was called with reminders of my appointment a total of 4 times, emailed 3 times, and text messaged twice. with all these reminders from them and confirmations from me, you’ll never in a million years guess what happened when I arrived to my appointment in time and just as excited as can be… I was escorted to a plain exam room. no Sanrio anything anywhere in sight. I was devastated. I would have rather had my exam in the waiting room (which I waited in for almost half an hour with no complaints) so in my plain exam room the assistant took X-rays then said she’d walk me over to the Hello Kitty room for the exam. After the x-rays I waited for another half hour watching the food network. the assistant said there was another patient finishing up in my room so there’d be a delay… another 20 minutes, this time watching my x-rays on the screen. fun! the dentist came in the explain my x-rays and do my new patient exam. he was thorough and professional, but he was just telling me everything that I already knew (I have a dentist at home) lol being absolutely honest, as I was when I phoned in for the appointment over a month in advance, I was just here to get examined and cleaned in the Hello Kitty room. They didn’t accept my insurance and I knew that. I was planned to pay the whole amount due out of my pocket….because I wanted to experience a dental exam in the Hello Kitty room. I was very very clear and the appointment person understood that very well. She had written it in the notes and highlighted it. not sure where things went wrong but wrong they surely went! when the exam was over and the dentist ok’d the cleaning, which was to be done next by the oral hygienists, the front desk lady came in with the second blow… it was now almost 1pm and the hygienists were going to lunch. the cleaning, which would be an additional $100, would have to be delayed until 2:30pm I couldn’t swing that, not even if I actually wanted to. truth be told $150 down the drain, I was just ready to grab my Hello Kitty swag bag and leave. THIRD BLOW I DID NOT GET A SWAG BAG. Maria from the front truly felt bad for me. I could feel her empathy and it was a slight dose of warmth for my broken heart. they ran out of the canvas totes and did not have not have any of the other goodies they showed off on Instagram. I got the generic crest sponsored bag that every dental office gives, along with a Hello Kitty lip balm and 2 Hello Kitty stickers. what an absolute bummer. let me just say that as usual, everything you see on Instagram should be taken with a grain of salt, including how this dental office promotes themselves. what you see is NOT what you’ll get.

Fantastic experience: I normally get very bad anxiety when going to the dentist but I felt very safe while at Parklane Dental in Temple City. They checked in on me throughout the procedure to see if I felt safe and they even called me the next day after I got some fillings to see how I was doing. I feel really grateful to have good memories of the dentist now.

Negative experience: i really don't understand the raving reviews. my husband and i were looking for a new dentist and decided to go with parklane since it seemed like everyone loves them and has nothing but positive experiences here. on the day of the appointment, we had to cancel my husband's last minute due to a work emergency and the front desk mentioned that there would be a $50 cancellation fee. how are you going to charge a first time patient a $50 cancellation fee if 1. they've never been there and 2. the least you could do is waive it given that it's a first time visit ??? i went along with my appointment as scheduled but didn't find the staff or facility outstanding like everyone seems to say. if anything, it just gave off "we're the most modern dental practice in the area so we can charge outrageous prices for the services" vibes. when my husband went to the arcadia location for his rescheduled appointment, he left with the dentist stating that he had two cavities and four wisdom teeth that had to be removed. out of pocket, the lady that helped him with his consultation said it would be ~$400 out of pocket just to take care the cavities. mind you, we have premium insurance that's purchased through an employer so it didn't make sense why it would cost so much. after the consultation, instead of allowing him to wait in the lobby, they kicked him out into the parking lot. because we didn't feel comfortable with the interactions at parklane, i decided to look for another dental practice. of course, given that parklane has my husband's x-rays, a hipaa consent form needed to be filled out before anything was released to the new dentist we were going to. i had faxed the form TWICE just in case it didn't go through the first time for whatever reason - i even called the office and the lady that picked up the phone said it was received and that they've already forwarded my husband's x-rays over to our new dentist. on the day of the appointment at our new dentist, the receptionist asked if we happened to have any of our dental x-rays. i told her i didn't as i was pregnant at the time, but my husband's was already sent over. she spent 15 minutes scouring the system and ends up telling me that nothing was received on their end. i get on the phone and contact parklane - this lady with the rudest attitude picks up and i tell her about the situation. she proceeds to put me on hold for 10 minutes and ends up hanging up. i call back and the same voice was on the line, it was the same lady that hung up on me. i told her that we just spoke and i was waiting on the x-rays, she claims that i was speaking to someone else. she mentioned her name both times i called, but whatever. she made us wait over an hour before the x-rays were finally sent and even when they were received, it was so pixelated it was as if they were taken in 1950. after completing new x-rays at our new dentist, it turned out that my husband DID NOT have two cavities as parklane dental had mentioned. it just showed us how shady and money hungry they are - they make up false health issues just to pocket more money even though their dental procedures are already marked up steeply. also, beware - it seems like they bribe clients with some sort of promotion/discount in exchange for 5 star reviews.

Fantastic experience: From requesting an appt through their website to the first call I received to schedule my initial visit, the team at Parklane Dental have been excellent! I flew down last Friday for my first visit from the SF Bay Area! I had been following them on Instagram and had to become a patient at the first Sanrio friends dental office! The office is immaculately clean, when you walk through the front doors youre greeted with a smile from all of the front office staff. I had Elizabeth as my RDA and she brought me back to the Hello Kitty room and took my X-rays prior to Dr. To coming in for my exam. She was very gentle and nice to chat with in between each X-ray. When Dr. To came in for my exam, he had each X-ray up on the tv screen and examined each one and thoroughly explained any areas of concern. He has excellent bedside manner and makes you feel comfortable if you have any additional questions or concerns. My hygienist I had was, Cashel. She was so awesome! She was so gentle and thorough! She took images of areas she wanted to show me prior to doing the cleaning. My teeth felt amazing after I left and she was so fun to talk with! Looking forward to my next cleaning in October! The next day they left me a voicemail to follow up if I had any questions or concerns. They really care about their patients and are not only professional but friendly also! They really have an amazing team at this office and I can’t recommend them enough! They are worth the flight down to SoCal!
