Fantastic experience: I was very impressed with Dr Alvarez Kiely. She took the time to explain my issues and did not pressure me to make a decision. Her office is very nice and she uses what appeared to be new modern equipment and the latest technology. I just visited again for the first time in a while and I am impressed with the new ownership and the friendly caring staff. I see they are continuing in the great tradition started by Dr. Alvarez Kiely! Highly recommend!
Thank you so much for this thoughtful review, and for coming back to see us again! We're so glad Dr. Alvarez Kiely took the time to explain things without any pressure, and that our modern equipment stood out to you. It's great to hear our current team is carrying that same tradition of great care forward. Thank you for the high recommendation, we look forward to your next visit!
Fantastic experience: Had an amazing experience at this dentist. They found the root cause of the problem and discussed treatment plans with me. This will definitely be my regular dentist from now on and I would recommend this office to anyone.
Thank you for sharing this! We're so glad our team took the time to identify the root cause of your issue and walk you through your treatment options. It means a lot that you'd recommend us and make us your regular dental home. We look forward to seeing you at your next visit!
Fantastic experience: I recently spoke with Bree about scheduling an appointment while I was shopping around. Even though I chose another office due to insurance, she was very pleasant and knowledgeable!
Thank you for taking the time to share this! We're glad Bree was able to help make your search process pleasant, even though things worked out differently this time. If your insurance situation changes down the road, we'd love the opportunity to welcome you as a patient!
Fantastic experience: Scheduling was so easy! Bree is amazing, she was so knowledgeable and answered all of my questions! Dr. Villar and Maria made me feel so comfortable and really tried to get to know me and my needs. The whole experience was 10/10! This is a very personable dentistry office!
Thank you for such a wonderful review! We're so glad Bree made scheduling easy and answered all your questions, and that Dr. Villar and Maria took the time to really get to know you and your needs. Comfort and personal connection are exactly what we aim for. We look forward to seeing you again soon!
Negative experience: The team under new operation was nice. However, I was very disappointed that they charged me for almost 300 at the end of the visitation ( I paid full amount) and then later billed me another 500 dollars something when I got routine Xrays and teeth cleaning done that day. I have been having this insurance since Dr. Alvarez was here and probably got charged no more than 100 dollars for all year. In addition, I did upgraded my dental insurance to premium (still the same) company. I unfortunately had to say goodbye to them cause I felt like they weren’t straight up about the price at all.
Thank you for sharing your feedback. We are glad to hear that the team was nice, and we are sorry to hear that the insurance and billing experience felt disappointing.
We do want to clarify that our office does accept insurance. Many individuals continue to have little to no out-of-pocket cost depending on their individual insurance plan. However, every insurance plan is different, and insurance benefits are always estimates until a claim is processed by the insurance carrier.
Our office provides written notices and explains that any insurance estimate is based on the information available at the time. The final amount assigned as patient responsibility is determined by the insurance company after the claim is reviewed and processed. Dental offices do not control what an insurance company pays or what portion they assign as patient responsibility.
We understand how frustrating it can feel when the final insurance outcome is different than expected. Our goal is never to surprise or mislead anyone. We remain committed to being as transparent as possible, providing kind, high-quality dental care, and continuing to improve how insurance estimates and patient responsibility are communicated.
Fantastic experience: My client had an appointment today. It had been a while since her last visit. The Dentist and Hygienist took excellent care of her. We were informed of each step taken. She was provided excellent care. If you are looking for a Dentist, here’s a great one.
Thank you for sharing your experience on behalf of your client. We are so glad our dental team provided excellent care and took the time to explain each step, reflecting the compassionate and thorough approach Dr. Villar leads every day. Your recommendation means so much to us, and we are honored to be trusted with your client's care.
Negative experience: Have to update my prior review: I loved this place so so much under Dr. Alvarez. She would tell me exactly everything is before doing a single procedure. I checked and double checked with both the front desk and the sweet hygenist before my cleaning to make sure I would not owe anything (I am working two jobs right now and money is so so tight) and they assured me that even with the new insurance system it would be covered under my plan. I just got a bill in the mail for $191 (for a cleaning!!). I am so so disappointed. I was so happy here, but I've canceled future appointments. I feel lied to. I genuinely cannot afford another medical/dental bill right now.
Thank you for your review TG. We do want to clarify that our office does accept insurance. Many of our patients continue to have little to no out-of-pocket cost depending on their individual insurance plan.
We never take that trust lightly, and we understand how disappointing it can feel when a positive dental care experience is overshadowed by an unexpected insurance outcome or patient balance.
Insurance benefits are ultimately determined by the insurance carrier after a claim is processed. Dental offices can provide estimates based on the information available to us, but we do not control what an insurance company pays or what portion they assign as the patient’s responsibility.
Our goal is never to surprise or mislead patients. We are happy to work with anyone who received an unexpected insurance balance, and we remain committed to providing kind, high-quality dental care while continuing to improve how we communicate insurance estimates and patient responsibility.
Negative experience: Used to be an amazing dental clinic. Now doesnt accept any insurance - they told us our insurance was good enough that our costs would still be the same for out of network - was a lie. Definitely never coming back!
Thank you for your review CS. We do want to clarify that our office does accept insurance. Many of our patients continue to have little to no out-of-pocket cost depending on their individual insurance plan.
We understand how frustrating it can feel when the final insurance outcome is different than expected. We feel that frustration as well. It is very difficult for our team when the information provided during verification suggests one outcome, but the processed claim results in a patient balance. No dental office wants to call a patient with an unexpected balance, especially when everyone was relying on the benefit information available at the time.
Out-of-network benefits can vary greatly from plan to plan, and final coverage is determined by the insurance company only after the claim is processed. Dental offices can provide estimates based on the information available at the time of verification, but we do not control what an insurance company ultimately pays or what portion they assign as the patient’s responsibility.
Our goal is never to mislead or surprise patients. We remain committed to being as transparent as possible, providing kind, high-quality dental care, and continuing to improve how we communicate insurance estimates and patient responsibility.

Fantastic experience: My family has been coming to Roswell Dental Studio for over six years now. We originally saw Dr. Alvarez and now have the pleasure of being treated by Dr. Villar and Dr. Pennington. After working with Dr. Villar and speaking with Dr. Pennington, we quickly felt confident that we were in great hands. Bree and Vicky at the front desk have always been friendly, welcoming, and incredibly helpful. Whether it’s rescheduling or handling billing, everything has consistently been smooth and easy. Maria has been my hygienist for the past six years, and she’s amazing. She keeps my teeth looking great, makes sure I’m always comfortable and pain-free, and answers all my questions thoroughly. Negative experience: Edit: Place has been sold, front staff doesn't tell you upfront they are out of network for everyone. Super misleading. The best so far, they seem to treat their staff well unlike some other places. They didn't try and sell me a thousand things and were able to promptly assist me in my time of need
Thank you for the great review! We are so happy to hear that you were satisfied with your experience at our office. We hope to see you soon again :)

Fantastic experience: Amazingly kind care! Every person who came to be part of my care plan was beyond friendly and knowledgeable. I felt safe and comfortable with a dash of pride when I walked out the door. I’ve referred several of my friends to this practice. They are truly unique in their approach to caring for their patients. I wish I could give 11 stars. See Dr Villar, the man has skills. A true artist as well as professional. He truly deserves the accolades. I’m one happy camper!
Negative experience: WARNING. After going to this practice for almost 10 years with my family and recommending/recruiting several new clients, we will no longer use this dentist office. Be careful as the practice has recently changed ownership. Based on our first and last experience with the new, unprofessional "strategic marketing" person as well as bait-and-switch pricing differing from our signed treatment plan, we will not return to our formerly beloved Roswell Dental Studio. The old staff was amazing, and we will miss them.
We are truly sorry that your recent experience left you feeling disappointed. Our patients mean a great deal to us, and we take concerns like yours very seriously.
On the staffing front, the same team you have known for many years is still here and continues to care for patients with warmth and professionalism. We have added a few new team members as the practice has grown, but there has been no turnover among our long-standing clinical staff.
Regarding your concern about pricing, mistakes can occasionally occur, and we understand how frustrating that can be. While we cannot address the specifics of any individual account in a public forum, we can share our general policies. If an error is identified before treatment, our protocol is to explain the discrepancy, correct it, and minimize any impact on the patient. If treatment has already been completed and we later discover a billing error, our policy is to honor the original quoted fee for that completed care. We never intend to change a fee after a signed agreement, and we are sincerely sorry for any confusion or distress that may result when an error is found.
To comply with HIPAA and to protect the privacy of all patient medical and financial information, we are not able to discuss personal details publicly or online. We would welcome the opportunity to speak with you directly so we can review your concerns in a private setting and work toward a resolution. Fantastic experience: I have seen many dentists over the years, but I sincerely believe that the attention to detail and courtesy at Dr. Alvarez's office are exceptional. Everyone you interact with is friendly, genuine, and the focus on providing detailed information and ways to improve your gum and teeth health surpasses anything K has experienced with other dentists.

Fantastic experience: Roswell Dental always makes me feel comfortable and truly like family during my visits. Dr. Alvarez genuinely cares about her patients. Even when I come in just for a cleaning, she takes the time to come in, talk with me, and personally examine my mouth to make sure everything is good. That extra attention and care really stands out. I appreciate the welcoming environment, professionalism, and the way the entire team goes above and beyond. Highly recommend!

Fantastic experience: Update to my previous review . 8/25 Wonderful experience, I cannot recommend them enough. Friendly, thorough, honest, patient and professional! What else can you ask for from a dentist office? I will be seeing Dr. Alvarez and her team for the rest of my life (if they take me). Thank you! I’m very grateful for the service. —————— Very good experience, although I had to wait more than 30 minutes for the service. The dental hygienist is very gentle and thorough, she was also extremely patient with me. I have some sort of childhood trauma connected with the noise of the drill in close proximity, that makes me very nervous when sitting there. She was fantastic! Dr. Alvarez is professional and personable, she offers good information and tips on how best to exercise dental hygiene. The best part is, that she is not trying to sell you any work that is not necessary. In the past I experienced that with other dentists and it's very awkward. I also want to comment on the friendliness of the front desk staff and the x-ray assistant. I fully recommend their services! Just make sure to schedule ahead of time, I waited 3 months for my appointment.
