Fantastic experience: I had an unexpected filling that needed to be replaced, and Dr. Hedlund’s office worked me in right away. He always makes sure I am comfortably numb (grin) before he starts working on me, and he and Cynthia are fast and efficient. Plus, Leslie helps me with all my insurance questions. I drive from Suwanee to Dunwoody to see Dr. Hedlund. That’s how much I appreciate his practice.

Fantastic experience: I’ve only had great experiences so far. Everyone is very nice and explains actions throughout procedures so I know what’s going on and what to expect. I also enjoy the comfort touches like the neck pillow, blanket, and chapstick! Would recommend to anyone looking for a new dental practice.

Kathy at the front desk was very warm, welcoming, and accommodating and made me feel comfortable right away. It truly felt like a home away from home. The hygienist was detail oriented and did a great job with the cleaning. Dr. Hedlund was excellent, highly knowledgeable and took the time to explain everything. Overall, it was a great experience, and I would definitely recommend this office.

All the work I’ve had done by him has been exceptional and durable; specially the more cosmetic repairs. The staff is wonderful and very accommodating. Best part: appointments always start on time. Never waited more than 3 minutes to get on the chair. In and out in record time. We get great care, no pressure to buy or get services we don't need, and sincere concern and care. I needed an appointment for my grandson for what I feared was gum disease , and he was seen the next day. Tracy is a whiz with insurance.

After going to another local dentist that seemed to be over treating, I got a second opinion with Dr. Hedlund who took a more conservative approach and I wish I had gone to him sooner! Fast forward 3 years, Im still a happy patient and my husband and two young boys come here as well. They are great with kids. Fantastic experience: I just started going to Dunwoody Dental Smiles and I am very pleased for making the change. They are so friendly, thorough and professional. Before the appointment, they calculated every detail of my bill and thus I knew exactly what my portion of the bull was going to be. They answered every question that I posed to them and they explained we very step they took during the procedure. I highly recommend them!❤️

Negative experience: Not sure why there are so many positive reviews here but the dentist here is quite rude. The doctor tried to pressure me to get an unnecessary filling on my two front teeth which I said I’d prefer not to. He kept using condescending language like “do you understand?” and “are you aware?”. I stood firm and I could feel he was actually getting angry at me for my decision. Later on in the appointment, he asked me where I went to school. When I told him Georgia Tech, he was suddenly so much nicer and stopped chastising me about getting the filling. It’s uncomfortable that he treats his patients so differently based on what educational background they have. Fast forward two years, my two front teeth are perfectly fine and there are no signs of decay. Below is a picture of me and my teeth last week. Why would the doctor try to force me to get a filling then?

Everyone at the office wore masks and, probably to assure self-distancing, I appeared to be the only patient in the entire office. Alice, the dental hygienist was excellent, gentle and did a very thorough cleaning. Dr. Hedlund is always more than professional and very personable. Tracy is such a joy and always sits at the front desk with a smile as you are welcomed. Great staff, pleasant atmosphere and since I have always been fussy about my dental care, this office is right up there with total professionalism and excellent service.
