Fantastic experience: Highly recommend this office. Everyone is very friendly, the doctors are professional, kind and knowledgeable.

Fantastic experience: I have gone to the same dentist since j have been 5 years old. I moved to NH and still continued to go to MA for my Dental Appts until I found Birch Family Dental. They are very kind, compassionate and gentle with me especially since I have never ventured out to another dentist my entire life!

Fantastic experience: This has been one of the best experiences I have ever had at the dentist. I had a chipped front tooth and was so nervous about going to my appointment for a crown. Dr. Mehta was so caring and explained everything before even starting. She was so concerned for my pain level, which ended up being 0, and made me so relaxed about the procedure. Ruxi attended during the procedure and followed through with the most perfect replica of my original tooth. She made sure my bite was completely comfortable before we ended the appointment and gave me very clear instructions on what to expect till my next visit. So very happy with this office.

Fantastic experience: I am not a fan of dentists. The staff here helps tremendously and makes things easier!

Negative experience: I would avoid this dental practice if you can. We stopped going there a couple weeks ago after my wife ran into significant problems with their service and office management and the communication between their internal dentist. My wife went in there for a routine cleaning earlier this winter. They did not give her the cleaning and said she needed to get a root canal and sent her to a root canal specialist. We went to the root canal specialist they sent us to the root canal specialist said she does not need a root canal and that she needs to be seen by a periodontist. We made an appointment with them at the main doctor's office to see their periodontist. When my wife arrived the periodontist saw her and said that she should have had a cleaning 3 months ago when she was originally scheduled and proceeded to question her about why she didn't have a cleaning. The Perry odontist then told her that she needed to go have a root canal. My wife told her that it was the dentist in that office. Her partner who had said she couldn't have a cleaning until she had seen a root canal specialist. The periodontist did not communicate with the other dentist in the office nor did they read the records sent over from the root canal specialist saying that she needed to see a periodontist. When we made these statements to the office manager she got incredibly frustrated and rude with us. My wife got me on the phone and I explained the situation once again and asked why there wasn't any communication between the dentist, the periodontist, and the root canal specialist before the appointment and why they were questioning why my wife hadn't had her teeth cleaned and trying to send her back to the root canal specialist. To put it mildly. This whole situation was incredibly frustrating and we were traded quite rudely. We proceeded to make an appointment with them to get my my wife's procedure done with the periodontist. They said they needed to run the insurance and we said okay to them to that. But we wanted an estimate without insurance because we were sure our after reading our insurance the insurance would not cover special procedure by the periodontist. We followed up when we hadn't heard back what the insurance had said we also once again stated that the insurance we had reviewed on our plan would not cover this and we would like a estimate. They said they would have us one in another week. They hadn't heard back from the insurance and we said we'd like to cancel the appointment unless we get an estimate before the procedure. They said they would follow up with the insurance and they said they would get us an estimate. My wife called back on the day they said they would have the estimate the following Tuesday. But they told her that she needed to contact insurance at that point to get pre-approval. When they already said they were doing it 3 weeks earlier. To say the least, this place is poorly run. The office manager does not do her job. There is no communication with dentists inside the office nor is there communication and coordination of care with outside offices even if they have referred you to them and then sent your records back to them after they ran the procedures that they were asked to. If this isn't the only option for you and your network, don't go there because the quality of care from the dentist is terrible. The teeth cleaning is fine. They did a great job. The technicians are good but beyond that I would say this practice is poorly run since it has been transferred over to the new ownership and if there was a way to give it zero Stars I would. We have never seen such horrible care from any sort of medical practice. We were already unimpressed after the practice was transferred over to new ownership over a year ago with the minimal amount of time the dentist would see you during an appointment. It was not impressive and it was already on our list of things to find a new provider and this horrible care sealed the deal.

Fantastic experience: The dentist was kind, honest and gentle and had a lot of patience when I asked questions. The two dental assistants were very nice and made me feel relaxed. I may need some work done and they gave me an easy to understand estimate. It was a very good experience considering it was still the dentist.

Fantastic experience: I had a great experience at Birch Family. From the moment I walked in, the staff was incredibly attentive and welcoming. They use the latest technology, which made the whole process feel efficient and modern. I was a little nervous going in, but Dr. Patel and the team did an amazing job calming my nerves and making me feel comfortable. Dr. Patel took the time to clearly explain exactly what was going on and what needed to be done, which I really appreciated. If you’re looking for a dental office that is professional, thorough, and genuinely cares about their patients, I highly recommend Birch Family Dental and Dr. Patel.

Fantastic experience: I can't say enough about how wonderful Dr Patel and Ruxi were with me during a recent visit. They were both aware that I was extremely anxious and they went out of their way to make me feel very comfortable during the entire process.

Fantastic experience: Dr Patel is awesome, I broke a crown while travelling and they fit me in the day I returned home with a quick appointment and no upselling of saying we needed to 're-do' the whole crown. This is the care that counts and a great team to listen to my questions and give sound advice.

Negative experience: Scheduled an appointment months out and was harassed to change my appointment two days prior. I responded sure then realized I already had a conflicting VA appointment and needed to keep my time. They informed me my slot wasn’t available and would charge me $75 cancellation fee. I had to cancel my needed VA appointment since I can’t afford unnecessary expenses.

Fantastic experience: Have been going to this dentist for 22 years and they're reliable and don't try to pull fast ones on you. Recently went and had Hailey (Haley, not sure of exact spelling) for the first time and she was WONDERFUL. Felt like I was hanging out with my friend. She gave me more education about ways to help my sensitive gums that I greatly appreciated. Can't go wrong with anyone there but Hailey is 10/10.

Fantastic experience: Tiffany is the best! She’s always so professional and friendly. What a pleasure to see her smile when I go to the dental office.

Negative experience: I was a patient here for many years. I really enjoyed my visits with the hygienist but due to the lack of access/appointments I had to seek care elsewhere. Dr Johnson is only in office twice a week and they do not allow you to see the other providers in office. They also do not have urgent appointments. Compared to other dental offices around the area their technology/procedures are not “up to date”. Communication is poor. Secretaries are not pleasant. I was told I would not be charged for something done in clinic during my visit but was surprised with a bill a few weeks later in the mail. They pressure you into procedures without providing appropriate education/explanation. Sad to leave the practice but happy to find better care.

Negative experience: I used to love this dentist, but over the last year their services have really gone downhill. PUSHY - I saw a few different dental hygienists there, and one was extremely pushy that I needed a night guard. She was the only one who would try and push it on me, and I had to start avoiding her because I couldn't convince her I wasn't interested. She went so far as to have the desk cold call me to set up an appointment 6 months after I told her I wasn't interested before she finally left me alone! MISCOMMUNICATION - I had 2 different visits where I was told during the cleaning that something was going to be covered by my insurance, only to have a surprise bill a few weeks later. RUDE - their policy is to give a 72 hour cancelation notice if the patient needs to cancel. I had to cancel one appointment with 73 hours notice, and I was literally scolded for "cutting it close". However, they cancelled my son's appointment 10 minutes before we arrived. Literally got the call while I was in the car driving there that they had to reschedule. Gamble on this practice if you want, but I don't think it's worth it.

Negative experience: If you value the safety of your partner and family, I would strongly advise second thinking this practice or make sure what is being told is correct/safe information. I was a client since 2017, and always spoke highly of this practice to the point I talked my girlfriend into coming here. For a year she did enjoy having cleanings/exam, along with ordering a night guard. However, she was diagnosed with breast cancer and needed surgery along with radiation. After being cleared by her Oncology team and completing required documents Jo-Anne Johnson’s practice requested, made an appointment to have a cleaning.(which took about a year) Leading up to her appointment, we found out she was pregnant. At the appointment, she was told she would need to have new x-rays done even though you are pregnant or can leave and make an appointment after you give birth. For someone new to being pregnant there is a high risk factor of x-rays causing miscarriages or other pregnancy issues. This has been the second time she has gone to appointment here, only to be turned away. Somewhere people have lost touch with their clients and only see dollars. I value the safety of my loved ones here and soon to be. This is why we will no longer go to this practice I would like to add, the rest of the staff are very friendly and helpful! Maybe there can be a learning experience from this, however I will not let my family be the ones it’s learnt on.

Positive experience: Update -- I ended up leaving this practice a year ago. The main reason was at the time, Dr. Amanda (who may or may not be still employed here) gave me a very hard time about not getting x-rays while I was nursing. I wanted to wait until next time to do them, after I had finished nursing. She also refused (which may be policy) to do an exam of my teeth because of it. The office is also very small and sometimes I did feel rushed especially with the Doctors. The office is also further away than I'd like, but am always willing to drive to an office if it's worth it. After having the same dentist for 30+ years, I found Dr. Johnson. I needed to fix one of my teeth and she was very reassuring. She referred me to an awesome specialist and then we finished up the remainder of the work in her office. She was very kind to me the entire time. Heidi was great. Very positive and reassuring as well. After my tooth was fixed, I had my teeth cleaned by Melinda. She did a great job! I was very happy with my experience and booked my next cleaning with her. The ladies who run the desk are also very kind. Each one of them I interacted with made sure I got through the process easily and with support. I'm very glad I found Dr. Johnson's practice and would definitely refer others here. Thanks!

Fantastic experience: Dr Patel and staff are wonderful! Recently got me back on a treatment plan for my dental health as it had been put to the side since Covid. Dr Patel has a welcoming practice, the kindest hygienist’s and oral assistant's so much so that going to the dentist again is not a scary thought. Dr Patel recently took over the practice and will be working with my eight year old son as well.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Johnson and Dr. Patel do great work, are always very polite and ready to explain anything with a smile.

Fantastic experience: Initially I took my two daughters (3 & 8) and worked with TIFFANY. She was amazing with the girls, and they had such a great time! My 3 yr old has been asking to go back because she had such a good experience. The treasure box at the end of the cleaning was a big hit! A few weeks later I went in for a check up (it had been quite some time) and I was very anxious. RUXI made me feel so comfortable and at ease. And of course, Dr. Johnson answered all my questions during my children’s visit and mine. She assured me and calmed my nervous. When I went for my Deep Cleaning (scaling & root planning) I worked with MICHELLE C. and she was absolutely amazing. This procedure can be painful- she made sure I was numbed and kept asking me over and over how I was doing, if I needed a break or was okay. She was gentle, understanding and personable. She made sure to explain everything she was doing, the after care, and just made me feel so comfortable. I would absolutely recommend this establishment to friends and family. They are gentle, kind, understanding and most of all no judgement, which is a top quality while choosing a dentist for me. I went in and was so nervous, but every one in the office made me feel so at ease. As someone who has extreme anxiety especially when it comes to the dentist, this is so so so appreciated. Lastly I wanted to add the honestly Dr. Johnson brings to the table is so appreciated. We recently switched over to this office. Our previous dentist told me that my 8 year old (who only has about 6 or less adult teeth) needed an ortho consult! When I asked Dr. Johnson she said absolutely not yet- She doesn’t even have half her adult teeth! And that the amount of crowding in her mouth was normal for her age! A relief for me and my daughter. Thank you Jo-Ann Johnson and staff! From the administration gals, to the hygienists, you are all amazing!

Fantastic experience: The reception staff were very welcoming. Dr. Johnson is very kind and gentle. Nicole was great she made sure I was comfortable and understood the procedure and the billing. Great office

Fantastic experience: I just completed a 'cap' procedure with Dr. Johnson. She was patient, kind, and gentle, as was her staff. I greatly appreciated the fact that there was no pain and was impressed to see how much they cared for my comfort. Dr. Johnson and her team are excellent, highly recommended.

Fantastic experience: I’ve struggled with my teeth my whole life. A dentist once said (while his tools were in my mouth) “if you don’t take care of your teeth, we’ll just take them out” and I don’t know… I’ve done all kinds of hard things, but going back to the dentist terrified me for some stupid reason. It had been over 10 years. Every single person was incredibly nice. Dr. Johnson took a quick look and made me feel a lot better about my teeth. Tiffany cleaned my teeth and was incredibly kind. She did a fantastic job and my teeth look better than they have in years. There’s still some work to do, but I’m optimistic for maybe the first time ever about my dental care and I’m looking forward to going back.

Fantastic experience: I can’t say enough wonderful things about discovering the wonderful team at this office! I’ve had several poor experiences at prior dental offices and needed a set of crowns redone for the third time for cosmetic reasons and other dentists just couldn’t get it right. I knew as soon as I met Dr. Johnson she was going to make it right and herself and her team did just that! The doctors bedside manner and the compassionate team that followers her is truly outstanding and just plain hard to come by these days. Special shout out to Ruxi. Thank you all again for giving me my smile back!

Negative experience: This practice is anything but great. They use any opportunity to snag a late fee. My husband was deployed overseas, so when I called to schedule myself an appointment I was told it could not be scheduled due to his missed appointment fee. I proceeded to ask is there any chance we can waive the fee considering he was overseas? Even offering to show them his title II orders issued from the federal government. They said nope. There seems to be no logic behind this, as I was trying to make an appointment and likely pay more money for their services, certainly more than a missed appointment fee. I would steer clear.

Fantastic experience: A dental office that cares about you! This is the first dental office I've been to that actually asks about your dental history to give you the best possible options and care. They also refer you out to specialists if you need a root canal (that's a big plus for me) and they make that process easy. Dr. has a great bedside manner, and when she did my fillings, it was so quick and painless that I was shocked it was over. Norma is the best hygenist I've experienced!! She makes you comfortable, explains everything, is thorough, and is so pleasant to talk with! The front desk staff are always nice and remember your name.

Fantastic experience: I had the pleasure of having Norma as my dental hygienist today. She made the mundane experience of dental cleaning fun and cheerful! I appreciate how thorough she was with explaining the treatment plan and her empathy towards my losing my retainer to my dog.

Fantastic experience: Such a great practice- dr Johnson is so nice, and makes you feel seen. All the staff are great. Hard to find a dentist you truly feel comfortable with (in my experience) and I have found that here. I like how they give you very clear estimates based on your insurance as well- they do all the leg work to maximize your benefits.

The front desk staff (Nancy + Marisa) are incredibly welcoming and always go the extra mile to help with insurance questions. The dental hygienists (Michelle C) strike the perfect balance between being personable and professional – you can tell they genuinely care about you. Dr. Johnson runs a tight ship, making the whole experience efficient and smooth. Plus, the reminder texts are a lifesaver! And my daughter absolutely loves the treasure chest of toys she gets with each visit. Highly recommend this office for all your dental needs!

My dental hygienist is always asking about my family and my kids and and ensuring that just life is still going well.
