Fantastic experience: Honestly, I’ve had many challenges with Gentle Dental on Elm street over the years. It’s been lack of communication, inconsistencies, and just overall challenges. However, my last experience restored my faith in the place. Customer service was unmatched, I was pleased with my service, I made a recommendation regarding my treatment and I was heard without any pushback or pressure, I was also informed on a few things that were helpful to me. Thank you to Ahmed who took great care of me during my visit- start to finish, you’re appreciated. Also to the receptionist that assisted me while checking in and out. Hoping for that same energy from whomever I will be seeing next week!

Fantastic experience: Spoke to Emily over the phone for like, 10 minutes making sure I wasn’t going to get scammed like I did at Dental Arts Exeter. She was very patient and clear about everything. In the end, they took the tooth out quickly and cleanly, and it wasn’t even that expensive. I’ll never go anywhere else.

Fantastic experience: I have never had a good experience at a dentist. I broke a tooth and filling. They were able to see me right away and get in me in a little later to do the work. Dr Norton and his assistant were amazing, and very gental. Thank you for reassuring me that you can actually have a good visit at the dentist.

Fantastic experience: I called looking to be seen for a tooth infection and to get antibiotics around 9 one morning and to my surprise I was offered numerous choices for an appointment that day including one for 10am that I took. I was about ten minutes late and they still took me in with no wait. Everyone was extremely friendly and helpful taking care of my needs. When I got to my pharmacy the prescription was already filled. Couldn't get better care anywhere or be happier with the service!

Fantastic experience: Adding to my previous post from another time, this is a great dental office. I love my dentist and all of his help is really especially kind and helpful and they work with you in every way to get the care you need.. That’s very helpful and I can’t say enough about my doctor cause he’s just kind Gentle very wise and I’m very Fortunate to have him! This is a wonderful place! Dr Amir is excellent,! his staff from the billing person Krystal puts you ease and his wonderful technicians they make the experience of being at the dentist easier to manage. The Gentle part is really true! Thank you all for what you do and making it better to deal with. My latest appt was also helped by Bianca who did a nice job & Amran who was helpful on checking in & out. Dr Nair as always is great, gentle but wise. David always is knowledgeable & does a great job too!

Fantastic experience: Marissa helped me get my gums back in good shape by telling it to me straight 3 months ago my mouth health. I am grateful for her commitment to me as a patient. My dentist is always there for me. I cracked a tooth and he made it beautiful again. I was very happy leaving the office yesterday. The front staff helped me as they always do. I am pleased to call Gentle Dental my dental office.

Negative experience: Not a great experience when they upsell you fluoride treatment and forget to do the work, also they were kind enough to book an appointment out for a year so when you dont show they charge you another 50 dollars. Not really happy with this place. Make sure you understand your dental plan before going there. They won't explain it. At least they'll charge you say your all set then you'll get another bill. Disappointing

Fantastic experience: Had to have 2 teeth removed. They were killing me. They hurt more when they were in than when they were getting removed. Dr.Norton was respectful and very professional as were the nurses. They made sure I was good and not in pain and comfortable the entire time. I will be returning for future work. The staff up front also did what they could because unfortunately my insurance doesn’t even cover major procedures until December. So they were able to at least get a discounted rate.

Fantastic experience: Their name says it all. They are polite, informative and very caring for your comfort both physically and financially. Try them for yourselves. Oh yeah and they have hours to fit your schedule- nights and Saturdays. Again 2day I went 4 another complicated filling challenge and...Dr. Norton met the challenge with patience, professionalism and perfection. Thanks folks! I saw their oral surgeon 4 a follow up on a polyp in my mouth behind my back tooth 2 identify its nature. He was very professional, knowledgeable and informative explaining my options 2 address it. I never knew that I had it until Dr. Amer brought it 2 my attention. Always professional.

Fantastic experience: Amram Elias was the 1st person I met. He is the Front Desk Coordinator. This office is calm, well run , honest and above board. Amram was clear thinking, well organized and thoughtful in his approach, having the customers best interest at heart ! ❣️ Emily Breckenridge has a warm and caring personality and very honest. She will present you with a print out of estimated charges for your visit as will Amram Elias as well. There is another woman named Kat who goes out of her way to make sure you feel comfortable. There is a logical reason this office has such a high rating among the customers. They are All Out Standing ! Negative experience: I’ve been really conflicted about my experience here. I had a dental bridge placed in July, and the estimate I was given was just under $1,700. When everything was completed, my final cost ended up being over $3,200 — more than $1,000 higher than what I was told to expect. I understand an estimate is not exact, but I was never told that my deductible wasn’t included, and I was completely surprised by how much the final bill increased. Either final billing to insurance was different than the estimate, or they weren’t transparent about costs after deductible was met. What’s added to my frustration is that the the teeth on both sides of the bridge have continued to ache, even now in November. I do have a follow-up appointment scheduled, and I’m hopeful we can get to the bottom of it, but it’s discouraging to have ongoing discomfort after paying so much more than expected. I’m sharing this because I think patients deserve clear communication about costs and confidence in the work being done. I’m hoping my upcoming appointment brings answers and resolution, but the lack of transparency around the billing left a really disappointing impression. Had I known a truer estimate of costs involved I would not have moved forward with it as it was not a necessity.

Fantastic experience: Had my first crown done today. David was very fast and efficient. I watched him hand craft me a tooth cover . Amram was very keen on what I needed and handed it to me since I couldn't talk. Dr Amer was efficient also. He did stop and check on me a couple of times. I was very nervous going in, but it was not bad , I was able to go to work same day

Positive experience: I am from out of state visiting, and ended up losing my crown and I was able to get in the same day. The staff were friendly, and knowledgeable.

Positive experience: I've been to Gentle Dental for a treatments, and while the staff is friendly and professional, the prices are significantly higher compared to other private dentists I've visited. On top of that, they offer payment plans, which sounds helpful at first, but when you do the math, you're essentially paying more than the actual treatment cost.If you're on a tight budget, you might want to explore other options.

Fantastic experience: My son is autistic and was unable to get so much as a simple cleaning at three other dental practices. We even drove to Boston to go to a practice that claims to be accommodating for those with special needs. Dr. Norton and Lisa at Gentle Dental in Manchester cleaned his teeth and filled 7 cavities! I go 40 minutes out of my way to go there too. I got a crown done. Excellent work. They are absolutely WONDERFUL. They should get bonus stars ⭐️

Just did not feel great about my final appointment, which resulted in an unnecessary office visit. Make sure to understand that you cannot refuse x-rays if you want follow-up hygiene care.

Negative experience: Absolutely disappointed with this dental office. I’ve been a patient here for nearly 4 years and my experience has been a nightmare — especially after getting braces. The original doctor (no longer there) told me I needed to remove 4 molars and 4 wisdom teeth all at once. Turns out, that was completely unnecessary and caused me to get dry socket and a month-long infection. I later realized this was likely just a money grab. That was just the start. They constantly tried to charge me for things I already paid out of pocket. They once billed me for a retainer that was part of my treatment plan — only to admit I never received it and gave it to me for free after I pushed back. My braces were supposed to be on for 2 years, but ended up taking 3.5. A new doctor eventually told me the treatment should’ve ended much sooner and recommended Invisalign at no charge because of the previous mistakes. A few months later, they tried billing me for it anyway — and I had to fight again to get it corrected. Even after braces, the problems didn’t stop. They’ve canceled multiple cleanings due to the hygienist being unavailable — and then tried to charge me for missed appointments that were 100% their fault. Most recently, they charged me $50 for a cancellation, even though it was their error, and while I was in the chair for my cleaning, I got an email saying my dental plan was “renewed” without my consent. They claimed my plan was still active when I booked the appointment — yet charged me mid-cleaning to renew it. Completely shady. Be very careful with this place. They are disorganized, unprofessional, and constantly trying to get more money from their patients. I’m officially done.

Negative experience: All this dental office cares about is money. My husband has had to reschedule his appts because we recently had a baby and things came up. He tried recently to reschedule again and he was told to find a new dental office. All they did was mess up his tooth and cause him to have more pain in his molar. Never had to deal with a dental office that treats patients this way. We will gladly find another more understanding provider

Positive experience: After getting work done at another dentist, I had a broken temporary cap It is Saturday morning and I’m leaving the country for a week tomorrow. I was desperate and frantically looking to get it fixed before leaving. Gentle Dental in Manchester (Elm St) fit me in, despite being fully booked. I went in, half an hour after the call and they took me right in and fixed it right up. David was the technician. He was great. The dentist on call took a look and we had a nice conversation. The office staff was so nice and helpful. The only issue I have is that they changed me over $400 for the replacement temporary crown and it also broke - this time less than 8hours after they placed it. I was eating for the first time and it broke on some soft cheddar cheese. I texted through their website but never heard back. So I went to Iceland with yet another broken crown. They never responded to the online inquiry. I was prepared to give 5stars but this wound up with me spending $450 or so for nothing. I went on my trip with exactly the same issue as before I saw them. Maybe there is something wrong with my bite, but I can’t seem to keep the temporary crowns from breaking. Ugh

Fantastic experience: Today I called Gentle Dental at 4:45pm FREAKING OUT in straight panic mode because I was eating a sandwich at work at bit my lip ring causing one of my front teeth to completely crack right down the middle. Being a waitress and having to work doubles all weekend I was having a little menty B because I was so embarrassed of my front tooth being cracked. I called down a list of emergency dental services and most didn't take my insurance or was closing in 15 minutes and could not help me. I finally reached Gentle Dental still panicking and the woman at the front desk answered my call and took my situation very serious regardless of my panicking. She told me she could get me right in for 5:30pm and I would have to pay $99 for xrays and to see how we could fix the tooth, my insurance was not accepted there but she informed me about Sunbit credit and that I could apply and that would help me out with the cost. I was nervous because I am 6 months sober and trying to clean up the mess I created in active addiction and didn't think I would qualify but really had no other options. I came in and immediately she greated me and assured me it was going to be okay she was very calming and got me set up with paperwork to fill out. I was soon seen and xrays were taken. The dentist and the woman helping him told me they would be able to fix the tooth the same day and I could fill out the Sunbit credit they offer. The woman and the front dest came back in and helped me fill out the paper work and I was instantly approved. The staff at that office truly cared about me and the situation and even stayed late to help me, by 7:45pm my tooth was fixed and looks amazing. I am BEYOND happy with my smile now and excited to work this weekend and come back for my followup appointment next week. I will forever recommend this location because of the care and compassion the staff has here and how they all went above and beyond to make sure I left feeling confident in my smile.
