Negative experience: After years of being a patient at this dentist, I received a registered letter mid treatment that they will NOT be completing what they started and to find another dentist. Their reason : my last 3 visits were on an emergency basis and they are no longer going to see me ??? Are they serious ? I’ve NEVER heard of anything like this in my life. Not only that, Dr Cabana started treatment, then sent me to an Endodontist and told me I’d have to go back to him for a crown after my root canal. All smiles when I left and paid and got the root canal, only to get a registered letter two days later knowing I needed the crown he told me he would do !!! Now he left me hanging without a dentist to finish what HE started !!!! There was no warning, everyone was very nice and everything was going well. Nobody ever mentioned anything and Dr Cabana spoke as if all was fine and “when you come back, we’ll take care of the crown” and even priced the crown. The dental assistant was great and friendly. My family and I have never had an issue prior to this. So strange and shocked when I opened this letter. I was stunned and called to inquire , no response, and then went there in person to ask about it. The receptionist told me they would call to discuss it because they didn’t have time and were short staffed. Nobody called ………such a disgraceful attitude and horrible customer service behavior. What “professional does that ? Anyone thinking of going here should really think twice. Dr Cabana should be embarrassed and should never be allowed to do this to another patient again. As it is, along with my wife and I, a dozen people I have already showed this letter to will no longer be using his services. My own extended family of 12 will also be looking for a new dentist if anyone has a good one to recommend. Seriously, who sends a letter like this ? Dr Cabana, such an unprofessional and unethical way to treat your patients.

Negative experience: My family and I were patients at this practice for over five years. The staff has consistently been efficient with cleanings and follow-ups. Unfortunately, after one of the primary doctors retired two years ago, the quality of care declined significantly. Our final experience led us to leave the practice entirely. My son was diagnosed with a cavity, and Dr. Moore initially referred us to an out-of-network pediatric dentist. When I asked whether she could perform the filling herself—given that my son has successfully had fillings before with the use of nitrous oxide—she agreed and scheduled the treatment over two appointments. During the appointment, my son reacted briefly when receiving the anesthetic injection, which is not unusual for a child. Dr. Moore appeared uncomfortable but proceeded. Shortly after beginning the procedure, my son cried again, at which point Dr. Moore stopped and stated, “I can’t do this; this would be a traumatic experience.” When I asked for clarification, she explained that she did not feel she had the appropriate training and was uncomfortable continuing. This raised serious concerns, as she had previously agreed to perform the procedure. When asked why she agreed, her response was that she “thought she could do it.” Agreeing to treat a child without confidence in one’s training or comfort level is, in my opinion, irresponsible and unprofessional. Following this incident, I requested that all of my family’s records be transferred and sought care elsewhere. Additionally, Dr. Moore emphasized that the cavity required urgent treatment. However, after obtaining evaluations from two other dentists, both advised that no immediate intervention was necessary and that the tooth should be allowed to come out naturally. This further called into question the urgency and accuracy of the initial recommendation. Based on this experience, I can no longer recommend this practice.

Fantastic experience: I had a great first visit. The office crew got me in earlier than originally scheduled. They were friendly and had my first visit paperwork completed prior to arrival. The hygienist, Robin, was great. She did a thorough job with my cleaning and was really good with explaining each step. Dr Moore was enthusiastic, listened to my concerns and explained some details about my needs quite well. I feel confident they will address my dental care extremely well.

We have always been happy with their attention to detail and sensitivity when dealing with difficult dental decisions. We have had nothing but great experiences here and will continue to recommend this location for children and adults.

Fantastic experience: All team members are friendly and engaging. They communicate the intention of treatment and why its important (like taking your blood pressure before starting treatment). The office and environment is clean and bright, with decent music and sound machines in the background. I still don't like having my teeth scraped with metal, but they told me I should floss more. Not their fault, I guess. LoL. I actually don't mind going to this dentist for visits.

She was also friendly and very reassuring in her delivery. Dr. Cabana is a top notch dentist. He also took the time to listen to my concerns, perform a thorough analysis of my teeth, explaining his observations and offering solutions. He was extremely friendly and didn’t rush the process. This is the first visit I’ve had since moving to the south where I felt like I had a through cleaning and was fully informed about the overall health of my teeth. Fantastic experience: I cannot say enough, good things about this practice. Dr. Moore and her staff go above and beyond and are just the best natured dental office I've ever had ... and I'm old!! . My Initial introduction to this office was due to a tooth that broke two days before a trip. The entire office stepped up to make sure I got on the plane with a full set of teeth! Having recently moved to Fort Mill, I was thrilled I had found my new dentist here. Subsequently, when I returned we took x-rays and laid out a dental plan for the next year. When we progressed to a procedure that was somewhat complicated and expensive and fully within this office is capabilities, Dr. Moore recommended that to accomplish exactly what I wanted done, I should see a colleague of hers. To be honest, I was quite happy to have her do the procedure, Dr. Moore was more concerned that I would be happy with the outcome. She insisted I had this procedure done elsewhere. The ethics in this office are above reproach!

Negative experience: I just left Stonecrest Dentistry for a scheduled teeth cleaning. I need to make this review due to the fact that my experience today was awful in many ways. Dr. Cabana has been our family dentist for several years. He spoke to me in May about recommending I see a periodontist due to pockets around my molars. Did not refer me to one but he did speak of it. I had my X-rays in May and we discussed it. My X-rays are not due til next time - as well as I need a crown. I feel honestly Dr. cabana is upset I keep putting my crown off ( that ultimately is not bothering me- although he says there is a tiny tiny hairline crack in that tooth. So he’s making no money from me but teeth cleanings. Without my X-rays after I rescheduled my crown, he was very angry as far as said my teeth in front which has never ever been mentioned ever -just molars - were showing same issues as molars! Bottom line my cleaning before last with Sara whom I love there -I got feedback my teeth and pockets in my molars (particularly left side is more of issue- )was improved! Dr. Cabana was very very rude today and his bedside manors were very disrespectful! Again as he explained only looking at previous X-rays from May instead of at least looking at X-rays due in 3 months. First thing Hygienist said when he came in room that I was rescheduling crown again and I do whole heartedly believe it is because I held back for now on my crown and he was aggravated mainly. Also he mentions or I could sign a form and continue to get teeth cleaning there! ( otherwise I guess I am not welcome) I’m assuming of potential lawsuit due to pockets at my molars. Needless to say I thought I had found a good dentist who cared about his people dearly and not out for the almighty dollar.

Negative experience: Went in for routine care. Went back because my jaw was locked. Told them numerous times my jaw was locked. I trusted in them completely and went along with X-rays and did my best to help them force my jaw open through pain, I foolishly thought they were trying to help me and properly trained. X-rays didn’t work, most likely useless. Dentist came in and referred me to a specialist after letting me know that the fillings she did, did not cause my lockjaw. The damage they caused me forcing my jaw open was absolutely unnecessary.
