Fantastic experience: I had my appointment for a cleaning and treatment plan with Brittany, who did a fantastic job as always. Dr. Luck came in to discuss the treatment plan and was very efficient in telling me what needs to be done and of course was very professional and friendly as always.

Fantastic experience: I had to have a wisdom tooth pulled and Dr. Luck and her staff did an amazing job making me feel comfortable and doing an amazing job. I am so lucky to have found Dr.Luck. Thank you so much.

Negative experience: I don’t typically leave negative reviews, but I felt compelled to share our experience. My husband visited this office as a new patient for a cleaning and treatment consultation. A few days after his cleaning, he developed significant swelling and was in severe pain. When I called the office, I was told this was likely normal after a deep cleaning, despite no one having examined him. I had to be persistent before an antibiotic was prescribed. When his condition didn’t improve, he returned to the office. We were told nothing concerning was visible on the X-rays and were referred to an oral surgeon. The oral surgeon immediately identified a serious abscess and infection that required surgery under anesthesia to drain it. It cost us $1300! To be clear, I am not claiming the dental office caused the infection. Sometimes complications happen, and we still don’t know exactly what caused it. My disappointment is with how the situation was handled. At no point did anyone follow up to see how he was doing, and after I called to update the office about the diagnosis and surgery, I never received a return call. The hygienists were friendly, and most of the staff as well. However, when a patient is in significant pain and ultimately requires oral surgery, I would expect more concern, communication, and follow-up. The oral surgeon personally checked on him after the procedure, which only highlighted the difference in patient care.

I have endured some of the most barbaric procedures by other dentist with no regard for patients comfort. I refused regular dental care for fear of another horrific experience. I recommend this practice to all those who have refused previous care. You will be pleasantly surprised to find that good dental care does not have to be painful. Positive experience: I’ve been going to Luck Dental for almost 4 years now, so I’ve been around long enough to notice patterns. The office itself is cute and has a fun vibe, and I really liked my hygienist, Allie. That being said… every time I come in, there are completely new faces. The turnover is very noticeable, which makes you wonder why they can’t seem to keep employees. It’s disappointing when you finally find someone you like and then they’re suddenly gone. So just a heads up if you fall in love with someone cleaning your teeth, don’t get too attached.

Fantastic experience: Luck Dental is great! Today I wanted to review based on an awesome experience. I went for a typical cleaning and was set up with Angel. I hadn't seen her before and she was the best. She was very gentle on the teeth but got in there when needed. Seems weird to appreciate this but we all know when we go to the dentist, we can get thrown into a chair and tortured. Haha! I appreciate the care she took and my teeth look and feel amazing after she was done. Thanks Angel. I told her this after and she explained that she was new since last week at Luck. Fantastic experience: We absolutely love Luck Family Dentistry! The entire team is kind, professional, and truly goes above and beyond. They were incredibly patient and caring with my son after a bike accident, making sure he felt safe and comfortable. The teamwork during one of our dental treatments was unmatched—they worked so well together and made the whole experience smooth and stress-free. We’re so grateful for the care they give our whole family and can’t recommend them enough!

Negative experience: If only there were no stars. Read other one-star reviews before you decide. Are you using antique dental equipment? The crowbars used in my mouth and as I was instructed to pull them apart several times in several positions to get pictures. Crowbars in the mouth? Insert metal plate? Are those one-size-fit all crowbars? X-ray was even less enjoyable after having to bite down on object to get X-rays. It took the hygienist at the very least ten tries to get three X-rays. She assured me that on the failed attempts I wasn’t “X-rayed”. When you press a button, the signal is made, it doesn’t matter if the computer didn’t pick it up. You pressed the button and I don’t believe your denial. IMO I had had enough, I was ready to walk out. At this point I mentioned you don’t really want me to review you because you are failing miserably. I’m 69 years old and this was the WORSE experience ever. Cleaning was as enjoyable as a root canal. Loud music played as the television was on. So relaxing. I wanted to leave, but I had already endured the worse exam so I waited for a procedure quote. Front waiting room…Try to exit a seat and it’s like exiting a seat at the stadium. Such tight quarters for too many chairs. Tripping hazard and the opportunity to fall in the lap of other patients. I sat reading Google reviews as I waited to get the final review by the dentist. Why didn’t I look first before making an appointment. I was tempted to allow my broken partial to be fixed by a lab outside their office. I was going to because i thought I could get away with not being touched by the staff. No, I’d have to get an impression made by this office. I’ve had horrible experiences with impressions even with the best dentists, there was no way I could trust this practice. Join a Facebook group if you are looking for recommendations for a dentist in the Fort Mill SC area. Skip this one. Dentist wasn’t reassuring after I voiced my opinion of the cleaning. Live and learn, there are plenty of dentists in the area. Mark this one a BIG NO! You’ll thank me. This picture is not me. These are the retractors they used to take dental pictures. It’s something like Walmart Self Checkout, the patient gets to hold the retractors and pull the mouth back for the hygienist.

Negative experience: Long story short.. gone to office for 4 yrs. Was told to have 4 filling done, only one cavity, but wanted upgrade my old silver fillings. Got a quote. Paid deductible at time of service. Asked if I needed to pay more and they said no the rest would be paid by insurance. Got in chair, no one verified who I was( I have workedin the medical field for 20 yrs and know that is a big no no!) A Hygienists comes in and does the numbing, in the oddest places I have ever had places and numerous injections. My mouth never felt tingling or anything. Dr. Luck starts to do the work with the other person. They started to discuss the Doctors vacation, meanwhile the are not paying attention to if I need a break ( to close my mouth to rest at least btw fillings,my jaw that was locking up) dropping items in my mouth and hair. Calling her front desk staff her travel agents and using her headset to ask if they could find her a restaurant and places to go on her vacation that was 2 days away. Then the staff comes in to ask if it is OK to shut down the office on Friday so they could all that the day off. All while I start to feel pain. I raise my hand to tell her, she then gives me more numbing injections that I started shaking from being cold from it.( That has only happened with epidural with childbirth.)So I knew this was not a normal cavity filling. At the end I was not sure my bite was right the hygienist tried to fix it then said wait to see and come back next week if it is not right. I had to return 3 more time because Dr. Luck and staff could not get my bite even. Then I get a text not 2 weeks later asking me for more money… by text.. not a bill in the mail or by email. What!! And what is the bill for??? They charged me more than what was quoted, not what insurance didn’t cover. They were $70+ in charges that they added. Plus never billed me but charge insurance for 2 focused visits( to fix my bite) and an X-ray I never had. I questioned the charges and they tried to tell me it based on insurance contract. My estimate is what I was given. I should have been notified at time of services their fees went up . Plus, why is my insurance paying them to fix my bite for the follow up visit if they made a mistake. Patients beware!!!! Unprofessional visit. Unethical and Unprofessional billing Updated- Day after so posted this I get a letter telling me it insurance fault of why I am being billed.. No, I am being billed bc they increased their fees without any notice before or at time of service. They sent my payment back. Still to reversal of the focus visits and no mention of the unprofessionalism that occurred that day. I am the 1st would love office banter, but that day I was not cared for and my 3 return visits proved that.

Fantastic experience: Luck family dental has been my dentist for maybe a year now I woke up this morning with a large abscess in my mouth. Of course it was a Friday morning. I called and they fit me right in. It was a very pleasant experience. The staff is always very accommodating and professional

Fantastic experience: I can't not say how much I appreciate Luck Family Dental. My daughter had a scooter accident, I showed up at the locked door with a bloody missing 1/2 a front tooth child. The door was locked and I stood there waiting for the door to open - it so happened, that they were actually closed that day but the dental assistant had come in to get some paperwork done. She opened the door assessed my daughter and immediately called Dr Luck. ON HER DAY OFF she came in and literally glued her broken tooth back together (by the grace of God my husband found it on the paved trail). She was great and kind dealing with a scared 11 year old and a nervous mother. The tooth still needs some specialist work but at least she has one in her mouth today and it is not a jagged front tooth. The staff and Dr Luck are kind and amazing

I had a dental hygienist (Brandy?) today who did an amazing job explaining everything that was happening and carried on a caring conversation which meant a lot to me. My son who is 3 has been there multiple times and has received cleanings from there. They are so patient with him and work with him from a place of compassion. Fantastic experience: Had a dental emergency when my crown fell out, and they got me in right away to fix it. I'm always nervous to go to the dentist, but I've been to Luck twice now since moving to Fort Mill, and they always make me feel comfortable. Cute office and friendly staff.

Negative experience: Go elsewhere for better care. They won't forward imaging to your next practice so don't bother. She prefers to put patients under to do minor dental work so you don't realize the lousy mistakes she makes like ripping your lip open with the drill. She forgot my husband WASN'T asleep and tried to lie about why his lip was bleeding. Skip. More mistakes than just these were made for our family.

Negative experience: I have always thought the practice was okay and I have been willing to work with them because they are local and take our insurance. Today, however, the service was not up to even "okay" standards. I brought all 3 of my kids for routine cleanings. I sat with my 12 year old while she got her cleaning done. My other two are 16 and 17 so they were on their own. The hygienists are all nice and competent. I have no issue with them. Dr. Luck came in to give her diagnosis of my daughter's teeth. All good, but for a small cavity that "still" needs treatment. (I didn't know she had a cavity that wasn't treated. The last time I brought her, we made an appointment to fill cavities and her grandmother took her for them to be treated. Why does she have an unfilled cavity??) Dr. Luck left the room without saying anything about my other kids. As the hygienist for my daughter ushered us out into the reception area, I asked her if she knew about my other children's teeth? The boys were already done and waiting to leave. She said Dr. Luck said my oldest has a cavity that needs filling soon. (I knew he had cavities and was hoping to wait until January due to insurance, but I had no idea that he had a cavity that severe. He never complained about it at all.) Since Dr. Luck happened to have walked up to reception, I asked her if the cavity needed to be filled before January. She replied that it did and that if we waited, he may have to have a root canal!! What?! Don't you think you should have had a conversation with me about that before we got to the lobby on our way out the door?!! Maybe shown me an xray?! Unbelievable! What if I hadn't asked? Good grief! I called the office 30 minutes later to discuss my disappointment. They were closed.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Luck and her team are wonderful. From the pre-visit communication to check-in to procedure, everyone makes you feel comfortable. They try their best to accommodate your needs and aren’t too sales-y, which I appreciate. It’s the best office I have ever been to.

I needed to put it out there that Daisy is hands down, undeniable the best. She is so polite, engaging but above all. SKILLED. My first temp crown fell out after day 3. From the install, it was soooo uncomfortable. I couldn't eat even though I was using the other side. The crown was rough and rugged and longer that the other teeth. It was a blessing it fell out because Daisy did her thing with this new one. I can't even tell it's there. It was so well polished, perfect fit. PERFECT. Thank you Daisy. Fantastic experience: Been visiting Dr. Luck since moving to the area and her and her team are incredible. Always flexible and accommodating with appointments. Gentle, thorough, and explains things in a way that you can understand. Our most recent experience was with our little baby who had an accident at day care. She usually goes to the pediatric dentist who was closed in a Friday. I called and was able to get in for an emergency visit with in a couple hours. She was better than the pediatric dentist with our little girl even in a hard situation! We love Dr. Luck and her team!

Negative experience: Dr. Luck did major work on my teeth, which appear very mismatched compared to my other teeth. It doesn't feel good to know your smile is off. I paid a good chunk of cash, and family and friends have been asking what happened. It's actually a shame to throw money away, and trust work will be completed properly. I will now someone to fix the work as I paid in full with no recourse. If she decides to comment back and make light of this, I plan to post photos. Unfortunately, I should have checked further as to her expertise with more advanced procedures, but I did not. ‍

Negative experience: Update: My new dentist fixed the mistake, Dr. Luck made. My teeth look awesome! They used my insurance, and my teeth never looked better. Please, don't go by fancy offices but do go for experience. Older review here: I was not going to leave a review, but after seeing another dentist this week, I felt I should post. As soon as I sat down, the dental assistant was shocked how poor the work was done by Dr. Leah Luck. I was actually embarrassed as my tooth looked terrible, but chalk it up to another experience. Hopefully, this saves someone else some hard earned money.

Negative experience: Not recommended. The treatment was so rough and her hand and devices were hitting my teeth and gums. After the treatment, “things” kept coming out from my mouth (the remaining fillings etc.) which never happed in any of the offices I went. The tooth with crown I received from this office is still sensitive and I cannot bite on that tooth after two weeks. There was no time to ask any questions to the doctor but she rushed to another patient. The front and insurance stuffs were not friendly and treated me like I was causing troubles even though I was just asking questions… I will not go back and will have another dentist take a look at the crown I got here…

I love Dr. Luck for my own dental care as well. She always provides great service and I can trust her. Other dentists in the past have tried to unethically recommend unnecessary treatments and Dr. Luck has never been that way. I highly recommend Dr. Luck.

Fantastic experience: I would like to thank Dr. Luck and her amazing staff, Daisy & Heather for the extraordinary service that was given to me regarding my wisdom tooth. The pain was unbearable and the tooth needed to be extracted. Heather got me in to see Dr. Luck right away, Daisy was kind, gentle, and caring while taking my x-rays, and assisting Dr. Luck during the procedure. And what can I say about Dr. Luck other than she is a true ROCKSTAR!! She advised me and my husband what would be best for my health and she assured us that everything would be fine. She was patient, gentle and kind. She had that wisdom tooth out in no time and I didn’t feel a thing! Now I can enjoy my husband’s birthday cruise without issue.
