Negative experience: Be mindful to others time. We take time off at work, time off at school to bring the kid there at scheduled time. And your office says we are moving & we can’t process any paperwork. We understand, that is fine, you should have just called us and let us know. You knew it. Just wasted our time & no apologies or nothing. This review is only for management/ operations team.

Negative experience: Do not EVER go here. Went to get a cleaning and they tried to up charge me the entire visit and scare me into paying for more stuff. I have never had a cavity and they told me I needed FOUR fillings done. Thought this was suspicious… so I went to two other practices to get another opinion. Turns out I have no cavities and my teeth are perfectly fine. They just wanted to pocket the money from a college kid. Glad I went and got other opinions, but I will never be coming back here. Edit: 2 years later and still no cavities. Cannot believe they were gonna drill into 4 good teeth for no reason.

Doctors, Assistants & entire Staff provided a detailed evaluation of my dental condition and accurately addressed and solved all my issues in systematic way. I am very happy for that. Negative experience: I have been going to this office since the beginning of this year with no issue the best hygienist till my experience today I had the most traumatic experience. Using extra force for no reason to a point making me ready to jump out the chair, and she gagged me with the suction hose. I know it was excessive as I had her the first cleaning and I had not been to the dentist in years- the experience was not like this, mind you I have been going every three months. My mouth is still hurting and sore hours later with me taken ibuprofen; I know she will not touch my mouth again.

Fantastic experience: I highly recommend Dr. Arora at his business Dentalworks! He painlessly surgically extracted a back tooth in my mouth. It only took a couple of minutes and after surgery I’m recovering very quickly. He has a great rapport and is thorough in his work. I’m thankful also for their competitive pricing. All in all, it was a great experience!

Fantastic experience: I’m so pleased with the service I received in the Ft. Mill office today. The extraction of tooth #18 was performed with extremely professional care by Dr. Den Arora. He explained the procedure that would take place and helped me make the decision on the best path to follow at my age. Dr. Arora performed the impression for my future partial which I found to be unusual considering visits with other dentist which passed that duty to an assistant. I was very impressed. I plan to update this review after receiving the new flexible partial the middle of July. Stay tuned

Fantastic experience: Diana Gourlay is the most amazing hygienist you could ever hope for! I’m always nervous about dental visits and have very sensitive gums, but Diana treats me with such care and patience—it truly feels like she’s taking care of a child with the gentlest touch. She always makes sure I’m comfortable and never in pain. I trust her so much that I follow her to any practice she goes to. If you get a chance, definitely ask for Diana Gourlay. She’s one of a kind!

Negative experience: Continued to send me bills for something that was paid for. Called multiple times to settle still was getting billed. Went as far as to send it to a collections agency. Do not go here.

Negative experience: Extremely unprofessional, can lie to their convenience, never answer phones promptly. Gave us a real hard time to give us our x-rays, no luck even when visiting the clinic in persons multiple times. Gave both myself and my husband a real hard time. Also not that their staff have moved out to different clinics, so you can imagine how worse this place is.

Negative experience: Worst dentist of my life. I highly do not recommend, dentist did not take my concerns seriously and lied about a dental surgery that is going to stop my pain specifically a Gingivectomy, she brushed off all my concerns and blamed it on my orthodontist I think because I wasn’t using their practice in my opinion, staff didn’t listen when I was in pain and the nurse said while I was in the chair right in front of me this is why she doesn’t work with kids, in what world is that okay or professional? I wasn’t difficult, the piece of machinery she was using was to big so she had left to get a smaller piece, and very rudely explained she doesn’t like to work with kids, please do not come here.

Fantastic experience: The new doctor was incredibly gentle, moreso than any dentist I've ever seen before! He answered my questions clearly and without any judgment, and explained what he wanted to do and why it was necessary without pressuring me in any way. The staff were all super friendly to me and seemed very competent and well practiced at their individual duties. I would give more than 5 stars if I could. ❤️

Negative experience: I called and made a first time appointment for an x-ray and a cleaning. They called to confirm my appointment and confirmed it was for a cleaning. When I arrived they said they don't have a regular hygienist on staff and that the hygienist only works every other Friday and is booked for the next few weeks. They also told me that they never do a first time appointment and cleaning together and would have to reschedule the cleaning. I've never been to a dentist where I didn't get a cleaning. This does not seem like an honest way to do business. I clearly canceled my appointment and will not be going back.

Fantastic experience: Diana is fantastic! By far the best dental cleaning experience every time for my kids! She's professional, skilled and always does an impeccable job with a highly pleasant attitude. She takes the time to get to know the customers -- the catch up conversations are too great. Highly recommend!

Positive experience: I’ve been with Dental Works for several years and they are very gentle and are always willing to work with me even if I’m being wimpy. The dentist are very friendly and willing to answer all questions and the hygienist put me at ease

Negative experience: I called to schedule a new patient visit and 6 month cleaning as I just moved to the area. I arrived on time and was seen 30 minutes late. They said they were short staffed and all medical facilities run behind. When in the waiting room, they repeatedly tried to convince me to reschedule. Then after being brought back the dentist came in to do a quick check and told me what needed to be done and then said I could go check out. The receptionist and assistant told me that this appointment was to tell me "what type of cleaning needs to be done" after I was scheduled for a cleaning. This was all after I was initially scheduled at a Dental Works in Michigan and then cancelled and not called back to schedule at correct place. They wasted over an hour and half of my time on my only day off until the end of the year. I will not be returning.

Positive experience: Visit was fine, but the original appointment was canceled by Dental Works with no notification to me so it was a wasted drive. Was able to reschedule aweek later.

Negative experience: Worst dental experience I have ever had, first I had to wait 20 minutes after my appointment time before was brought back. Had a horrible tech that was taking x-rays, shoving the plastic in my mouth telling I wasn’t bitting down hard enough as I was choking. Then I was told they only do x-rays first visit and then I had to come back for a cleaning. Never heard of this before, I walked out after they told me this. Stay far away from this place!!!

Fantastic experience: Appointment was at 2pm. I was greeted by staff ( warm and friendly ) at1:30pm. Checked in and was seated in dentist chair before my appointment time was supposed to start. The dentist was professional and diagnosed and treated my condition quickly.

Negative experience: I was pleasantly surprised by the professionalism of the the staff. Dr Arora was excellent and his assistant was also. They are a great team. I have neglected my teeth and appreciate their care and understanding. I’m a big. Fraidy Cat and the made the experience tolerable for me. Thank you. Update. I had an appt to finish treatment. I woke up sick that morning|. I called and canceled the appt. They sent me a bill for 50 dollars for breaking the appt after the one day allowed. But I was ill and I do not go to dental appt when I’m sick. The dentist was a good mechanic but the office staff is on another planet.

Negative experience: If there is possibility, I would rate them zero. They assured to treatments are covered under insurance and then charge you more, and when questioned they say it's your fault... yes it would be Your fault too when you visit and trust them...

Negative experience: This place needs to get their act together. We were patients here for 13 years and things were going alright until maybe a year ago. In 2022 they told my husband he needed a lot of expensive dental work, so when selecting our dental benefits for 2023 we signed up for the higher dental plan and maxed out the flexible benefits amount. In Jan 2023 they said he didn’t need major work after all. So what were we supposed to do with all that flexible benefits money? It has to be spent during the year or it’s gone and it cannot be adjusted during the year. Later in 2023 they went back on what they said and told him he needs expensive dental work, so we rushed an appt to occur in Nov 2023, then they scheduled him for a checkup appt on 12/29/23. After the appt, they were going to charge us $200. When he asked why, they said it was because we used up all of our dental insurance for 2023. If we had known that before his appt, we would have scheduled the checkup to occur in 2024. They negotiated the amount down to $150 but that’s still $150 more than we should have needed to pay. I cancelled both of our future appointments and will look for a different dental practice.

Fantastic experience: Costas was very thorough, taking x-rays and teeth photos. He explained everything on both media. When Dr Hansen came in, he was polite. He was expeditious in his review of the dental hygienist’s review and noted a few more problems. Overall, a good experience but a bit expensive for some procedures.

Negative experience: I made a new patient appointment (already hard enough to get) back in November of 2022 for February of 2023. This office decided to wait until 3 days before my appointment to let me know that I could no longer be seen due to their doctor quitting in December. This is absolutely ridiculous, and there seems to be nothing they can do to amend the situation. I am highly disappointed in this company, as I have reached out to all the other Dental Works in the area and no one can seem to find an appointment for me for the next two-three months.

Negative experience: I haven’t been seen at this dentist for 3 years and a bill for $175 showed up today?? Yall cracked a brand new crown which caused an abscess and a root canal. I haven’t been back since as I was unable to get in for several days and was in severe pain the whole time.

Fantastic experience: My daughter was seen immediately as a new patient when she had a major injury to her teeth. It was a great feeling knowing someone cares and is extremely calming and kind to your child. Dr. Hansen does beautiful and skilled dental work My family has happily been with his practice for many, many years. We trust him!

Negative experience: This place scams you!! Dot go here. I just got dental insurance and I called rot schedule a regular cleaning, (whatever insurance would cover so I wouldn't have to pay anything). I went in for an easy cleaning. They messed up and I got hit with a $2,200 bill. They told me it was my fault. After reading other reviews I should NEVER have gone here. Sounds like other people got scammed as well.

Fantastic experience: Dr Hansen is the best dentist because to him helping people's Smiles look good it's like an art form to him. He enjoys seeing the end result. Also, the women who greet you greet you with a smile. They are kind and honestly it's hard to find these days people who know how to take care of people in a customer service manner.

Negative experience: Dentist and hygienist are good. Office staff not. Office staff grossly underestimated my out of pocket for a crown. They billed more than double what I was originally quoted. I also had to wait at least 25 minutes past my appointment time each of the the three times I went. Today the office staff told me they were running a little behind. 25 minutes behind at 10 AM? Same thing 2 pervious times. The hygienist told me they double booked him. The office staff denied double booking but when I asked if the hygienist was lying they wouldn't answer me. I talked to another customer who had to wait 30 minutes past his appointment time. The patterns and the behavior of the office staff tells me the hygienist was being truthful about the double bookings. Its not professional to be dishonest with your customers or have them come in when you KNOW they won't get served on time.

Negative experience: Great first experience but as I go through the multiple appointments for Invisalign it’s been very frustrating dealing with the front office in terms of getting a call answered, getting a returned call and any notification that the Invisalign trays had come in. Dentist and techs are great! Front office is a mess from the customer experience. Here are a few examples: 1: you get a scan between tray orders. Suppose to come in up to two weeks after scan. Waited almost 4 weeks. Called about a cracked tray and wondering if new trays had come in four weeks later, no returned call. Called again after multiple attempts without messages to find they had been there for weeks. 2: Called to ask if new trays had come in after waiting three weeks (2nd time). Called at 9 am, no answer left a message. Called at 10 am no answer, called at noon no answer, called at 2 no answer and finally called at 3:30 with an answer to find the trays were there, again no call when the trays came in. 3: Called Thursday to schedule a cleaning and get new trays, no answer and left message. Called Monday after not getting a returned call, no answer left message. Hopefully this review gets someone’s attention. We all work hard and the lack of proactive notification when products come in, lack of picking up the phone and just not returning messages is going to hurt sales. I’m taking my maintenance cleaning business somewhere else and unfortunately stuck with finishing the Invisalign program. Happy to update this if things change.
